Superhot Hot Pot & Korean BBQ
210 Hope St, Mountain View, CA 94041, United States
Restaurant located a block from the main street of Castro in Mountain View so parking can be hard to find during weekend. Recommend to go early to beat the crowd and easy parking.Pros: Quality meat, lots of soup base (taste good too), decent sauce bar, menu from 100 items to choose from, prep dishes like XLB soup dumplings and friend bun with condense milk (these are the one we ordered) are made well and tasty; friendly staff that constantly ask if we need anything, and lots of TV to watch games with spacious room.Cons: Can order only 10 items at a time and portion is limited (understandable to avoid food waste). Only thing with this is when you are with a group of people, you ended up with one tiny bit of tofu in your hot pot. Also, you have to wave down a staff to order your items. It will be nice if electronic order is implemented in the future.Overall, great BBQ and hotpot. Will definitely come back again!
Panera Bread
1035 El Monte Ave, Mountain View, CA 94041, United States
Service was awful! They screwed up four of our meals and were terrible about it. After a long delay, one meal came with the wrong side, the second meal, a bread bowl, was not full to the top, missing quite a lot of soup. The third meal only came to us after we waited an additional fifteen minutes and then had to track down someone to and ask THREE TIMES for them to prep the meal. The fourth meal was not clearly written what size it would be so we were charged more than expected. The guy at the register was one of the worst people I’ve encountered in a chain restaurant and was rude when answering our simple questions. The staff were all disrespectful and lacked any empathy towards everything that they screwed up. I’m done with this chain, we never have a good experience at any Panera. They are very overpriced, lack any good staff, and have a boring atmosphere.

Ordered from Grubhub at 6 PM. Stayed in a hotel with a clear sign and easily found by others (e.g., Uber) via GPS. Its 7:30 now and the food still isnt here. Driver first went to a gas station, even though I specified my room number in my address. I dont know why he would think a gas station would contain a specific room number. He then suggested I meet him at a different hotel nearby. It took the driver 10 minutes of driving in a square 1/10th of a mile to find the hotel. My order was a sandwich and a cookie. It will remain a mystery for the rest of my life as to why it took this place more than an hour to prepare the sandwich and put a cookie in a bag. A disaster.

This restaurant was FANTASTIC. I really recommend checking it out. We came for lunch on a Tuesday and I had a fantastic mushroom soup and my colleague had an omelette that was so giant she couldnt finish it. The atmosphere was really chill and beautiful and the service was excellent. I would keep here in a heartbeat. Other items on the menu sound so good I cant wait to come back.

Best experience ever. Manuel is the owner/operator and really helped with with my company’s group order. The order via DoorDash failed and I ended up calling the restaurant direct and placing the order for 12 people to be delivered in less than 1.5 hours. He was super easy to communicate with, the sandwiches/soups were awesome, and it was all delivered on time by a peppy driver Saul :). I love Erik’s deli on my own, but definitely recommend for catering and group orders as well. It also cost less to order direct than via Door Dash. Thank you, Manuel and Erik’s Deli Team!

Re Google Support horrendous serviceAbsolutely impossible to get in touch with any proper support from this arrogant behemothThey have incorrectly blocked my access to my email which I use for work.I have spent hours trying to correct it with no luck up very late at night - and hours trying to contact Support.I finally got a phone number. They kept me on hold for 23 minutes and then disconnected me saying they “don't have enough staff to answer the phone right now” can you believe the dismissive arrogance of that?!these greedy c-suite managers make millions per year - their company makes billions, billions per year and they don't staff up properly to help their users who are the very source of their income. This is exactly one of the reasons people want to break up big tech who have become the monopoly of the 21st-century just as bad as the monopolies of the late 19th centuryBreak up big tech and get me some support

Las Adelitas
889 Leong Dr, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States
First time at this place. Was at the nearby Walmart, searched for Chile Verde, and this place showed up under the former name (Greenland Market). After reading reviews I felt this was the spot for me on this day. Im glad I went with my instinct.Disclaimer, having only been here once I can only review what I had but I have high hopes for the other things after talking to someone who might be the boss.I had the Chile Verde plate and it was excellent. This is a standard dish I order at every place and use it to gauge whether I return or not. This place knocked it out of the park. Unlike most places that simply stew the pork, this place uses what must be their carnitas. It has that roasted flavor and the meat is succulent and super tender. The rice has good flavor, the salsa they provide has a kick, tortillas were tender and hot.I live about 45 minutes from this place but I will drive all the way here when I am not willing to compromise, and want great, not just good, Chile Verde.
Najwas Mediterranean Cuisine at Angelos
11275 Mountain View Ave D, Loma Linda, CA 92354, United States
Najwas is a wonderful, comfortable spot to come through for some hearty, tasty food. The fact that its a combo restaurant with Angelos just makes the menu so incredibly broad. While Ill agree with others and say that the Angelos Spaghetti may not be the highlight, the sandwiches from that side of the restaurant tend to be simple and filling. I do miss the salad bar of accoutrements that the old Angelos used to provide. With that said, the highlight of this place is Najwas Mediterranean dishes. While a bit pricier than most counter-order style spaces, many of the dishes are quite reasonable. This particular visit my family and I picked out a bunch of the appetizers and sides to share. The lentil soup is a particular favorite. I dont know what illegal substance they sprinkle on the fried crunchy croutons adorning the soup, but I could eat a bucket full, and they add a wonderful crunch to the smooth lentil soup. The fried cauliflower florets were also a total hit at our table. The edges crispy, but not too greasy, and seasoned well, these were devoured quickly. The roasted broccoli florets with feta and lemon were a bit less of a hit. I think were they roasted much longer, with singed edges and a sauce of feta and lemon added, theyd be better. They were still good dipped in the provided tahini sauce, but we probably wouldnt get them again. The schwarma fries with vegetarian chicken alternative meat were also tasty, although expensive. When are smothered and covered friend-anything NOT tasty, though. Finally, we got a triple dip sampler of hummus, baba ghanoush, and mutabal. The hummus, as has been mentioned over and over is top tier. Absolutely delicious. I personally very much enjoyed the baba ghanoush. The mutabal was a new flavor for me, but it was a fun taste to experiment with. All in all, this spot is a great place to grab a relatively quick, affordable bite and I recommend a visit. I do wish there was a bit more provided in the serving sizes for the price, but I still highly recommend this spot.
Sizzling Lunch
1760 Miramonte Ave, Mountain View, CA 94040, United States
Super excited to have Sizzling Lunch open so close to me! Came here the other night for their VIP night and grand opening and they did not disappoint!! I absolutely love the concept of getting your meals on a sizzling platter and having the option to add different sauces/spices that are on the table for you. The food was SO delicious and very fresh! Sizzling lunch is such a great concept and I can already tell this place is going to be successful. We got the following dishes:Deep fried gyoza - there were 8 pieces!! Way more than you normally get at a restaurant & OMG they were delicious. I could eat 100 of these in one sitting.Takoyaki - one of our favorite dishes and they were very flavorful. Had a good amount of octopus in them and the batter was fried perfectly.Tempura shrimp - fried perfectly and very flavorfulGarlic beef pepper rice - oooh man this was so delicious. The beef was tender and very fresh. This was a huge plate of food and definitely enough for me to take as leftovers. Mouth watering deliciousness.Salmon pepper rice - the salmon was fresh and cooked perfectly in the sizzling plate. My mom added teriyaki and she was super happy. Shes pretty picky about her fish and she finished the whole plate...Salmon udon - boyfriend really enjoyed this dish and also finished the whole plate. He said the salmon was super fresh, and he liked that they had options to add shoyu garlic or teriyaki to your liking.Beef pepper rice - added an egg, mushrooms and garlic butter. This was an amazing dish and the add ons really made it perfect.Honestly, I dont think I can get sick of this place. The staff and owner, Benny are so incredibly nice and welcoming, and the music and decor make the place pop. Benny came over to our table multiple times to make sure we were well taken care of. Great atmosphere, amazing food, super nice people... what more could you ask for?
