West Coast Sourdough

Great sandwich...a little skimpy, especially after paying $1 extra for meat. Dont try ordering ahead of time online. Impossible! I attempted for an hour. No luck. When I was finally able to place it... it wouldnt allow me to, stating I had to wait until 1115am. By that time, my husband was on his way home with sandwiches. Dont pay $1 extra... pretty sure they didnt add more. There was hardly any meat on my sandwich and my husbands with extra? Not. This place would be my new go to if not for skimping!

Oh my! I am completely floored by this place. I had low expectations (no fault of The Lodge but due to the previous food at Northern Pine) but I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Went with a group so I was able try a number of things on the menu and boy was that lucky! I had the Arrowwood Chicken Biscuit as my main and holy sh!t this may be the best biscuit sandwich I have ever had...no wait...for sure it is! Had a Finger Steak and the batter was super tasty and it was cooked perfectly. But I cant write this without mentioning the Honey Duck Butter Biscuit... what a delight. Crispy, crunchy, sweet, savory...joy! I shall return.

Nestled unassumingly, this eatery proved to be a hidden gem that I might have overlooked if not for the serendipitous occasion. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was struck by its pristine cleanliness and impeccable organization. The accompanying thick and crispy fries provided a satisfying crunch, elevating the dish to new heights. However, it was the Peruvian Chaufa Rice that stole the show. Tasty Pot Oceanside
1058 Mission Ave, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States
Many very tasty pots in this restaurant. This is one of a few very rare Asian restaurants in the area thats actually good. The soups were very tasty (especially the Thai one). All ingredients were very fresh, even the lobsters. Staff were very cheerful and helpful. The house kimchi side dish was crunchy and tasty while not very sour. All in all, this is the best hot pot restaurant and a very very good overall Asian restaurant in the area. Everyone in North County should come by and try.
Thai Hut Oceanside
3753 Mission Ave, Oceanside, CA 92058, United States
This is a new little Thai place in Oceanside at the SW corner of Mission Ave. and El Camino Real. We stopped in for lunch because we had seen it and wanted to try it, and we were truly impressed. The Tom Kha Gai (coconut milk and chicken soup) was the best Ive ever had, and Ive tried it at a LOT of places, including making it myself! My wife had Pad See Yew, which was just delicious, and I had an outstanding Red Curry Beef. Prices were very reasonable, and we left quite full and happy.Decor is nice and comfortable, and the restaurant is clean and nicely appointed. The lady who greeted and served us was SO kind and gracious, she truly made us feel welcomed and appreciated. And when we sent our compliments to the chefs, they poked their heads out of the kitchen to say thank you (for being thanked). I cannot WAIT to go back there and try more dishes. I anticipate visiting this little gem time and time again.
Sabrosos Taco

Savrosos Tacos has some of the best tasting tacos. The meat is very juicy, well seasoned and extremely flavorful. The sauce and toppings where very fresh. These tacos are on the wet side which I prefer, grab some napkins. They have some of the best prices in town. Lastly the family who owns it are very nice and inviting.Savrosos Tacos has some of the best tasting tacos. The meat is very juicy, well dried and very tasty. The sauce and toppings were very fresh. Joyee Dumpling House
3460 Marron Rd #107, Oceanside, CA 92056, United States
I went here on their second day open. The workers were very nice and the dining room was very clean. We placed our order and they made Szechuan chicken for me even though it wasn't on the menu, it was excellent and nice and spicy and a huge portion. My friend ordered sesame buns and Szechuan eggplant, we had to wait 15 minutes for the buns to be made. When I checked the order in the car the buns were missing and the girl had put egg and green onion on the receipt instead. I went back in and told them and they apologized and told us we could keep the dumplings for free, so we had to wait another 15 minutes for the buns to be made. When we got home we realized that the eggplant was missing from the receipt and bag. I'm not sure what the problem with the girl that took our order was but they only got one thing right on the order. It was nice of them to say you can keep the dumplings for free but they were almost twice the price of the buns.I will try this place again but not right now because all new restaurants have many issues when they're first starting out. The blonde does need more training and maybe should repeat the order to the customer. There were 2 things that I did not like about the place as I was waiting inside and that was, it was very cold in there and the music was extremely loud.Make sure you check your order completely before walking out of that store
Eris Vegan Food Co.
302 Wisconsin Ave, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States
I have celiac disease and Im vegan. I have 3 regular places I like to eat at since it's difficult to find places for me to eat, but I decided to try somewhere new. I wish I had gone to one of my regular places. My boyfriend got the Philly Cheezestake for $18. I got the fysh tacos with corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas for $14. I asked Scott, who I believe is the owner, how many tacos came with the order. He told me two, but said he recommends getting 3, so I got 3. It does not show how much an a la cart taco is on the menu. Before tip, our order came to $44.34. $18 + $14 = $32, sales tax is about $3, so that would mean I was charged about $9 for one additional taco (which is the size of a street taco), which is outrageous, and I'm not sure why it wasn't mentioned it would be an additional $9. If I had known, I would have just stuck with the two tacos. The owner also tried to upsale me with avocado on the tacos and my boyfriend with animal fries. We both asked “is it extra?” and both times he responded, “a little bit”. Since we weren't told the cost, we said no. I find it odd that it wasn't mentioned how much extra it would be to add those items, as it should be mentioned when it's not listed on the menu. I'm sure there's many people that say yes without knowing that it's extra because you don't mention it's extra unless asked, and you don't tell people how much extra it is. It seems as if the prices of some items were kept a secret. We also didn't get a receipt, the screen we were using to pay didn't give us the option for a receipt and no receipt was printed out when we were done ordering, which was also very odd. When the food was brought to us, we said thank you, and I asked a very simple question, “just to make sure, are the tacos on corn tortillas?” You would have thought I asked him something offensive and degrading. He stared at me for a few seconds before answering me with a very annoyed “yes”. As mentioned before, I have celiac disease. I will get sick if I eat gluten (in this case flour tortillas, and I also double checked because I had never seen corn tortillas like the ones I had when I ate here so I couldn't fully tell if they were on corn or flour). There have been many restaurants I've been to where I've mentioned this and asked for the gluten free alternative, and they still serve me gluten. So I was just double checking before I ate it as I'm looking out for my health so I don't get sick, but apparently that's a very offensive thing to do at this restaurant.I regretted trying somewhere new, I wish I had gone to one of my regular places where the restaurant staff is kind and doesn't make me feel like I'm annoying for asking a very simple clarifying question to ensure I don't get sick, and where prices of some items aren't hidden. I worked in the food industry for 7 years, if I had treated a customer the way I was treated when I went here, I would have gotten in trouble.
