Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
72225 CA-111, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
I used to eat in this restaurant many times in Abudhabi, and the food was amazing.Coming in Palm Desert, the food unfortunately, there was a disaster.I asked minestrone soup, and I received vegetable soup, sour.I dont remember the other dish because I tested only and I renounced to eat, so fat without taste...
California Pizza Kitchen at The Shops on El Paseo
73080 El Paseo, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
We were here at 1:30 pm on 11/19/23for lunch with my girlfriend and they gave us horrible service and the food was disgusting. Place wasnt even busy but you can tell it was so disorganized. Took 15 minutes from the time we sat down in the bar area at a high top table before someone came to us to ask us for a drink. Ordered everything one shot drinks and food. First the drink came out espresso martini it had a small fly or mosquito floating on top with the coffee beans. Got sent back for a sprite took took 10 minutes for server to bring sprite. Next the food we ordered a Caesar salad with no chicken extra dressing on the side and vegetarian pizza with goat cheese. Food came out together. The salad had chicken when we didnt order it with chicken and told him from beginning we dont want chicken on salad please. Then pizza came out it was hard, cold and no goat cheese on top when we ordered with goat cheese. Told waiter there is no goat cheese on top of pizza said it was on the ticket he turned in maybe they forgot to put it on top. He said he would get us on the side goat cheese we said no its ok but we were upset and really didnt want to eat. We did hear many people around us complaining about the service and the food. We asked for the check left most of the plates full and told each other never here again.Even if you're short staffed there is no excuse for not presenting good food and service. Cant give that kind of presentation to a paying customer. It would be easier for everyone employees and customers to close up shop for the day and start fresh the next day if having issues with employees and service. No excuses from management. If there are any managers or supervisors left around.

Panera Bread
34180 Monterey Ave, Palm Desert, CA 92211, United States
This Panera and the people here do not focus on quality. They are too busy. Yet we as the customers pay their bills. I know fine dining, hospitality, casual dining, fast food, and everything in between. This place needs help. I took my baby in here after having a bad experience at Pho Vu down the street! Thinking this would be better. The service is terrible. The lady who took my order at the front should not be working there, or offered some severe training to up her effectiveness there. A robot could have done better. She was like talking to a wall. I had to pry information out of her about what my options were when it came to ordering sides. It was literally painful to order. And what happened to them taking food to your table? You have to go get it yourself? I asked for a side of bread to go with my You pick two; she corrected me nonchalantly French baguette. Yes, chick, bread. I want the bread. I asked for a sliced apple for my sons side for his Mac n cheese and she said she could ask but took a big huff (breath) in and acted like it was a big deal. I told her the last panera did it for me so he wont choke. She said shed ask. (Ask?) Cut the damn apple! Lol! Or are you going to hand me a steak knife to do it? What happened to service? After my order I go to find a table in the corner, which ALL OF THEM ARE DIRTY. INCLUDING THE CHAIRS. I ask the lady at the food making counter to please have someone clean a SPECIFIC table for me. She asks me to sit somewhere else. I tell her all of the tables are dirty. I wait nearly five minutes with a diaper bag, a purse, and a baby in my hand after grabbing my own high chair and standing by the specific table I want. Standing. Standing. Standing. No one comes. The same chick who was at the front who took my order walked right past me to the patio doing nothing, wandering. I go back to the food counter and ask about the table to be cleaned. She says she sent the girl but they are busy and understaffed. I told her I understand, BUT my time is valuable too, its been at least 5 minutes, and I have a burden in my hands! (Still holding baby, big diaper bag backpack, purse, and no where to sit without getting my butt dirty) Finally someone comes to wipe down the table and the booth and I can sit with my baby and sit my stuff down. When our order comes up soon after, the apple is not sliced. I dont want excuses, I want better service. Compassion. Empathy. BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. Basic intelligence? Artificial intelligence? I mean, jeezus.
Brown Bag A Sandwich Shoppe And More
77980 Wildcat Dr # 3, Palm Desert, CA 92211, United States
The Brown Bag is a sandwich deli in a sort of industrial area in Palm Desert. It might not be a typical location for a sandwich shop, but their food is delicious! I tried their pastrami sandwich, with a side of macaroni salad. The macaroni salad wasnt necessarily anything spectacular, but the pastrami sandwich was excellent. The Brown Bag uses Boars Head meats and cheeses, which is a plus. Service is quite good and personal as well! The inside is on the smaller side (I counted maybe about 3-4 tables inside). This place seems to be fairly popular in the area, as there was a steady stream of customers during lunch. If I make it to the Palm Desert area again anytime soon, I would visit this place again. I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a sandwich shop in the area.

Rejuvenate with Jan
Lido Palms Resort and Spa, 12801 Tamar Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Searching for the best cleanse in Palm Springs? Stop looking and book Rejuvenate with Jan ASAP. Seriously. I came home feeling lighter and healthier and cleaner then I have felt in years! This was the BEST cleanse experience ever, culled from Jans years of personal experience, advanced study, and a warehouse of knowledge that is a cross between sound fact, gentle advice, and good humored insight. Whats really nice about the program, too, is that it offers a good blend of a structured and unstructured environment in a low-key, peaceful setting. At all moments you feel safe and in good hands, receiving as much as or as little personal attention as you want, along with a no nonsense approach to food and health and lots of (non-judge-y!) ideas for how to develop and continue healthy eating habits when youre back home in the real world. Other aspects I cant imagine youd find elsewhere: Jan is a SUPER committed, highly organized practitioner who carries out her mission to help, treat, and teach people with integrity, passion, and humor. Its clear that shes taken many, many people through the cleanse over the years, and so she truly knows what does and doesnt work. The program is carefully calibrated -- Jan doesnt overwhelm you with too much information at once, but instead gives you little bits at a time (which I loved), and this allows cleansers to be wholly present in the process at any given moment. Plus, Jan makes the whole experience - gasp - actually fun! Even when youre not feeling your best or are having a cleansing reaction (which is common), theres lots of laughter, positive energy, and just a good, shared experience simply because Jan is such a high energy and thoughtful, caring person. Also notable: Jan takes COVID safety precautions seriously and gives reminders throughout, not to mention that its a small, socially distanced group of people staying in visibly sterile, clean, and pleasant facilities. I felt this level of safety was mirrored at the hotel and by hotel staff and practitioners as well. What else - the resort and grounds are nicely maintained, the mineral waters are a wonderful aspect that you can enjoy throughout the day/night, and in fact, its such a small group of people, I was often the only one in any given mineral pool at a time. There are additional treatments you can book, such as breath work (which I found absolutely transformational), the rooms are sweet and spacious (with very comfy beds), and Jan adds countless thoughtful little touches such as a lending library, welcome baskets, plus some other surprises I wont reveal. In short, Jans is a carefully prepared, designed, and supervised cleanse program with homeyness, healing, and heart to boot-- and thats what makes it the obvious choice over other fancy-chi-chi--exorbitantly priced--area-cleanses that flashily scream their superiority and individualized approach in highly branded formats.Jans is the real deal. Thank you so much, Jan - I cannot wait to return!!!
Katsuyama
74990 Country Club Dr #330a, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
1st things first WILDLY OVERPRICED... Lets move on though... Clearly these other reviews are nothing more than emotional based... so yeah the prices are are completely unrealistic but does that mean the food is bad? Well... mildly. Here we go;PORK katsu: the fry itself is actually done great! Not too burnt, not too light, very authentic Japanese katsu shell! Thats where the positives end. The pork was fairly dry... not completely dry but way more dry than katsu should be. I can tell the pork theyre using is high quality, which is a plus. If they figure out how to retain moisture in the pork this would definitely be getting a better rating.CHICKEN katsu: this was better than the pork. The chicken was moist and made in the same consistent fashion as the pork. I suggest you pass on the pork and go with the chicken.MANDU/Gyoza: These were sadly... pathetic. The description on the menu sounded great, describing that theyre pan stir fried... these tasted like frozen items and were overall generic and very disappointing.Katsu SAUCE: I cant tell if this is bottled or made in house, its too late to ask and Ill sadly not be returning but Id be curious to know because it tastes very authentic and as expected after seeing their processed images of their food and pf course the pricing. Nothing special but thankfully not bad like chain katsu places.RICE: Their rice is decent. If you like Japanese food, you know how critical rice is, especially in sushi dishes (which this place offers) and the rice isnt bad, but it absolutely isnt at the level of quality and preparedness that accurately aligns with the prices theyre charging.OVERALL: Id avoid this place sadly... I REALLY wanted to like it and I mean REALLY REALLY wanted to like it. But the mediocre pork and rice is a big turn off... if they were charging about $18 for the chicken katsu I could justify coming back to have that again and perhaps try their sushi (only after finding out where they get their fish and how often) but until then, I wont be missing the food, the atmosphere (super generic atmosphere) and especially wont be missing paying 25 for half a portion of pork katsu and 24 for chicken.See my photos for validation and judge for yourself before you read these reviews that some seem to be friends and family and others are nothing more than emotional based and not factual food quality based. Its worth mentioning that its highly suspicious that one of the comments actually mentions the fact that some of the reviews might even seem to be friends and family... in psychology, we know what that means... and can confirm people give good ratings based off of nothing more than feelings over actual good food.In closing: I will miss having the opportunity to chat to the guy who just got back from japan and the Thai girl who work there. They were very pleasant and I would rate their personalities high but I ordered to go so I cant judge the actual service beyond some pleasantries and the offering of water while I waited for my meal.Lower your prices if you can, if so, Ill give it a try again, if not, best of luck to you. Nows the time to capitalize on all the kids and young adults who dont value the dollar and spend their money on overpriced bubble tea and food for instant gratification all while complaining about not having anything.. maybe youll do good for a while but sadly, I doubt this place lasts... time will tell and I am happy to check their prices out next month
Restaurante Los Primos

Went there for Restaurant Week 6/5/24& Best steak at a Spanish/mexican restaurant!! Yup, I finally got a PROPER medium rare ribeye steak and all I had to do was go to a Spanish restaurant! ? go figure.Anyways service was great, the chicken fingers for the boys was delicious, the albondigas soup was amazing, you know why? My two year old couldn’t get enough (and neither could I), the broth, vegetables and the meatball were perfect; my steak was amazing and the cornbread bread pudding with ice cream ($2 extra was well worth it), not too busy either and I love that.

Sweet Basil California Eatery
73655 El Paseo Suite L/M, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States
Main points: good food, good portion sizes, and great customer service -- great staff, great management -- just a great team in whole. After our previous dinner plans exploded (its an another story -- summary: previous place passively-aggressively didnt want our business), we found Sweet Basil California Eatery and WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID!Based on what I saw around the table, we had tried the:~ Sauteed Sand Dabs (rice pilaf, lemon caper sauce) -- excellent~ Gorgonzola Stuffed Filet Mignon (garlic mashed potatoes, cabernet sauce) - excellent~ California Shrimp and Grits (sizzling garlic shrimp, polenta, sauteed arugula, tomato basil relish) - excellent~ Lobster Lasagna (creamy parmesan sauce, vanilla buerre blanc) - so excellent that when we ordered it, the waiter said Fire-level goodAnd we wrapped up the night with house made mini donuts with caramel, raspberry, and chocolate dipping sauces!Oh, and since it was a birthday celebration, there may have been a slice of the chocolate lasagna (marscapone, cocoa, crepes, oreo) for the birthday boy. Thanks to Sweet Basil for accommodating us and treating us so well. It really turned our night around!
