Boiling Point
1370 Fullerton Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
I ordered seafood and my friend ordered beef soup. At bottom of my soup I found 1.5x1.5cm plastic.Manager said SORRY and took off my bill. I only paid my friends$20.52. manager did not tell me why the plastic sheet was in the soup. Even manager said sorry, but I think all customers must know why? Is SOP issue? Kitchen cook soup in a plastic bag? All customers drick plastic soup?Customers will get cancer . On myway out we saw a police at outside of restaurant. We were thinking to report to police but police was too busy talking to a small group of people.I strongly suggest all customers stop to eat food from this restaurant till manager find out why the plastic in soup. Soju Tavern
19718 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Had an awesome time and meal at the new Soju Tavern. Overall food and service was great for being a new restaurant. The wait staff were super attentive and thoughtful. They suggested some popular menu items for us to try. We came in on a Thursday at 9pm, so we were starving. The ambience was super fun and lively for a weekday nite. I loved the music they were playing. The food came out quickly. Wings & fries were crisp and tasty. The pancake was sizzling and still crunchy. They gave us an array of sauces to try with the fries and pancake. Would totally come back again to try the other fun menu items. This place is great for a late night snack and drinks!

Zhangliang Spicy Hotpot (Rowland Heights)
1380 Fullerton Rd #104, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Somewhat different style of hotpot, if it can be considered this. An apt description of what kind of restaurant this is, is more of a create your own bowl place, where you just grab the various toppings/veggies/noodles/beef in whatever magnitude and order you want. However, note, theres a procedure that you need to do, which is not written anywhere or how to do anything here. The staff either dont really speak English, or they have a low mumble voice, either or, its very hard to communicate with them. They are also pretty rude and brash on the procedure of things and gets frustrated pretty quickly when you dont understand what theyre saying. You are supposed to sign up on the Yelp pad to get seated, though based on observation, they have no one coming out to seat anyone, even with tables empty. If you sign on the pad and find your own table, since youll need a place to sit after giving your order to them to cook, theyll get pretty pissy.Other than that, the food is priced at $13.99 per pound for soup bowls and $14.99 for bowl mix. What I find somewhat scummy is that the scale isnt rated so your end price also includes the bowls weight, which itself isnt light. The food itself was alright, they had some interesting toppings, which I didnt grab. Note that the Traditional Pork Bone broth has to come with some level of spice, which is suspicious, as if you had a traditional bone pork broth, you would want to let your clientele to taste the many hour simmered broth...unless they used powder to make their base and then use spicy oil to help cover that fact.Im not sure if Ill come back here again, even though the food was alright, as I think youll have a better experience elsewhere.

Little Pan in Changsha Fever

Little Pan is my SURPRISE gift for my Fathers Day!!!  Thank you,  my 美夢美Mo !Stone cooked tasty pebble crispy grass carp. Taste grade = A+This dish is FANTASTIC!  I have not yet given any dish for the HIGHEST grade for a LONG LONG LONG TIME !!!!!  Maybe more than 7 years?! Anyway,  this dish is TOTALLY blow off my mind !!!!!  Please watch my video for the presentation and come try it for the taste.Assorted pan fried pork bun.  Taste grade = A-This restaurant is FAMOUS for this so we order it.  Moreover,  it is very SMART of them to have this assorted dish so we can try 3 different flavors: original, curry pork and shrimp and leek pork. The skin is AWESOME!!!!! This is the BEST skin ever !!  The bottom part is crispy and the top part is fluffy.original taste grade = Bcurry pork taste grade = B+and shrimp and leek pork taste grade = BFor me, the BEST pan fried bun STILL belongs to Kang Kang Shau May in the Rowland Heights (well, that was BEFORE Covid 19 Pandemic 5 years ago, HOPE it is STILL good)Beef pancake.   Taste grade BIt is just standard.  However, the sauce is TOO much, the pancake is not warm, and it is NOT cut all the way through.   PLEASE IMPROVE on it.Service is attentive and friendly. Background music is the popular English songs you hear on the radio. It offers free Wi-Fi as well.It has unlimited refill for the lemon ice tea.Lastly,  it offers a SURPRISE drawing box when you are paying your bill.  You can get a free meal or other discounts,  if you are lucky. In conclusion,  we will be back for sure and I will invite my friends and family to try MORE dishes.Thank God for this restaurant.Thank my 美夢美Mo for this food adventure.

PiChaiYuan Hot Pot
18406 Colima Rd E, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
The soup was delicious, and the wait people were very friendly. Im giving it three stars because 1. the portions of each order were small for the price, 2. After my friend who was responsible for ordering submitted our orders, everything had arrived except the soup base we supposed to dip everything in. After a long wait, we decided to go to the counter to ask, but it turned out there is another step to order the soup base which my friend had missed. It was our fault not to submit the order properly using the online order, but the wait people could have been more attentive to check if weve got everything we wanted. Is it not strange that people come to a hotpot restaurant not to order a hotpot, have all this raw food, including meat and fish? Lol, coming sense!!

Gaos BBQ & Crab
1390 Fullerton Rd # 102, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
The reason for so many 5-star reviews (Picture 1)First of all, the skewers chef in the kitchen is not Chinese. The way he sprinkles the ingredients seems neither light nor heavy, which makes the food taste extremely salty and spicy, completely losing the balance of barbecue. We ordered the red willow lamb, but all three of us had a sour taste and didnt dare to eat any more. The same goes for the chicken skewers, which had a distinct stale taste. The roasted leeks smell like vegetables with rotten edges that have been stored for several days. They are hard to chew and very dry. It is better to go to some DY tutorials (but scald them in boiling water before roasting...) (Picture 3)The baked potato slices were even more bursting, not at all the crispy texture I imagined. They were soft and full of toppings, making them difficult to swallow (Picture 2)The eggplant is not the garlic grilled eggplant that we are familiar with, but the tajin grilled eggplant that is closer to the Mexican style, sour, spicy and sweet. HahaThe roasted seitan was dry and tough, and the king of kings was just average. The only ones that were acceptable were the veal and lamb kebabs, but there was nothing particularly outstanding about them. The most delicious thing in the whole place was the melon seeds provided for free.

Midoh - Rowland Heights
1380 Fullerton Rd #106, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Reasonable prices, a menu with good variety, AND quick customer service! I am a pretty big fan of this restaurant. We came on a Saturday at 1:00 PM and there was no wait!I loved the Mentai Seafood Udon! The sauce was so addicting and it clung to the udon very well. Super flavorful and creamy. I wish I could have that sauce on every pasta dish. The shrimp were tender and the mussels were cooked well. Some of the calamari were overcooked, but overall pretty tasty! I think my biggest complaint is that there werent any scallops as stated in the menu.I highly recommend the corn soup as a side. The corn soup is decadent, creamy, and a very subtle corn flavor. Not overly sweet or savory. I love the cute presentation too! I could drink it all day. The takoyaki is also a great appetizer! The perfect texture and has a good amount of octopus in each ball.

Wagyu House by The X Pot
18558 Gale Ave Suite 122-128, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
My partner and I went to give this a try since she wanted to make me try a quality wagyu beef since its my first time.???our wait staff was JERRY and maaaan he was really amazing. Hes very patient and will explain well what you need to know and make recommendations. I offered to tip him on his own account but rather said that all of them worked hard so hes like okay with sharing with everybody. Really sweet of him. I just believe he really did so great and his customer service is ? all the staff were really nice, and accomodating. this restaurant will thrive if they keep this kind of quality food and service. The restaurant itself looks fancy (for me), clean and they have their own salad bar/ condiments area which was nice. You may need to have an appointment it just so happened that we went there around 2230 so it wasnt packed with customers, so being a walk-in was a luck.they do have like a set for 2 guests which may be costly and it was around 200dollars something for two people but it should be enough if you do eat a lot or rather, youd rather go there if youre really haangrry. We opted to do some ala carte since I know we wont be able to finish the food.We are not really heavy eaters, so we opted for the individual hot pot and we got ourselves the chicken soup with enriched collagen which was really nutritious and the clear soup which was like a beef broth. I liked the baked bone which was really garlicky. we had boba tea and a pistachio drink since we dont take alcohol drinks recently. but they have options which would be perfect with their food. they have a tablet where theyd show the full menu.price wise, can be a little expensive but you will get quality food, quality service and palatable food so for me, it was worthit.overall, I would recommend this resto.

Tofu Bean Korean BBQ
18409 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
I came from Northern California to try out the soft tofu soup dish at this restaurant based on the fantastic rating but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The soft tofu soup was very salty and the ingredients (shrimp) didn’t taste fresh. Furthermore, the price is above average for Rowland height price level. I would not recommend this place and feel that the google rating (4+) is not accurate. The one thing I like about this place is it’s customer service. Other than that, it is a total disappointment.

NO. 1 NOODLE HOUSE
18246 Gale Ave STE B, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
A quiet, humble restaurant with very very good food. Im actually more surprised not more people are talking about this place. If you like spicy (and I mean spicy) chinese noodles with lots of deep flavor and taste, this place is good. I ordered A3 and A5 beef noodle soups, as well as the A23 Dan Dan Noodles. Even on Medium Spicy, its pretty spicy. All their noodle dishes, whether its dry or soup, are full of flavor. Highly recommend a try. My sister in law flew to LA from Utah for a week, and insisted on coming to this restaurant before flying back. The restaurant is pretty quiet, and has a calm atmosphere, which is the only downside. Otherwise, great restaurant with great food.
