Myung Dong Tofu House
5446 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
It was the worst Bossam (steamed port with cabbage wrap) ever. I eat it at lunch time. The worst part was hair on the pork and the smell of pork. Radish kimchi with oyster tasted too sweet. The service was too slow even though there were only 4-5 tables with 3-4 waitresses. The worst bossam ever! I had high expectations because the side dishes and brown rice were delicious, but as soon as the bossam came out, the fishy smell of pork upset my stomach. It has a fishy smell, as if the meat was heated and brought out rather than cooked right away. What was most upsetting was that there was hair on the boiled pork skin! This is my first time seeing bossam like this. I was hoping that the oysters and raw radish vegetables would be delicious, but the spicy taste was dull and only tasted sweet and bitter. A strong sweet taste made from artificial seasonings other than sugar. This is my first time having bossam that tastes so bad. Just eat some soft tofu... I still feel angry and disgusted when I think about the hair on the meat. I never write reviews before, but I am so angry that I bought and ate this kind of food that I am leaving a review. The other foods looked delicious, but this was my first time there and I dont think Ill ever go again because of the bossam.

Kaju Soft Tofu Restaurant -
7232 Orangethorpe Ave, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Looking for a soft tofu restaurant? I found this restaurant chain that satisfy my soft tofu craving!Highlights of the menu:1. Bibimbap - seafood bibimbap with shrimp and octopus2. Kaju special set C:- Galbi - Korean short ribs cut across the bone, tender, grilled up in sweet sauce- Small intestine tofu soupThe side dishes (banchan) are yummy and is served right when we enter the restaurant, while we’re waiting for the food. My favorite banchans are fish cake and dried fish. The dried fish is especially good with beer. The store is decorated with legit Korean arts and crafted sculptures, which I feel like I just went to a short trip to Korea. Really cute sculptures at the entrance!! They have multiple locations, including Garden Grove, Irvine, and Buena Park. Very convenient when we want to stop by for lunches and dinners.

BCD Tofu House

Its been a while since I wanted to eat stone pot rice and nurungji, so I went to the BCD soft tofu restaurant in Buena Park, but they completely blindfolded me and brought me rice in a stone pot... Of course, there was no nurungji... Please dont fool the customers and show some sincerity.

Pho N Mor (Buena Park)
7941 Beach Blvd ste e, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
I ate the whole bowl of pho before I realized that I forgot to take a picture to do a review on this place. When my cousin and I enter this pho place, its has a really nice vibes. There was a really nice hand-drawing art on the wall as well. Kevin was the server who seated us. We both ordered the pho tai bo vien, and I specific ordered a side of rib. The foods arrived approximately 5 minutes because we came almost till their closing time (thank god they let us in). The bowl of pho gave such a nice aroma, the broths taste great, and the meats was tender. I ate my pho with the side of hoisin sauce, sriracha, sate, and lime to make the perfect balance of dipping sauce to dip the meat into. I recommend anyone who hasn't come here to give it a try for yourself because I totally love it, and finished the whole bowl in less than 15 minutes.

Atoyubu
7041 Western Ave unit b, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Boyfriend and I came out to Atoyubu based off an Instagram share. Their food is AMAZING. They ran out of everything by 7:20pm but theyre also a new space (opened about 7 months ago on this date of review) and working out the kinks. They need a break between AM and PM shift to make more food and prepare. I havent spoken to them but thats how it was with my restaurant. Eventually we were able to expand our hours and since Atoyubu provides a small menu but delicious flavors, They too, will one day be able to expand hours as well.Their retail space in the commercial building is quite small and being in the restaurant industry myself, I can imagine that they do not have a lot of room for everything prepped in advance. Theyre also a small operation but effective. Parking cannot be helped, but you can park across the street where McDonalds is, and walk across? Its that close. Commercial real estate is expensive to rent. Parking lot holds about 12 spaces and shares parking with medical offices. We had the garlic butter crab. Their tofu skin is incredible. Its house made obviously as its quite large compared to other inari/yubu offerings. Even though its imitation crab, we appreciated the final touch of torching the top. Even though its simple, it was so delicious and we Def have plans to come back here though the plan is to come earlier to try the other flavors.Keep up the good work!

Rice Meats Soup
8901 Valley View St # A, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
The parking lot is spacious and convenient. The manager was friendly and the owner was also very friendly, which was nice. Since it was my first visit, I asked a lot of questions and received menu recommendations, so I ate delicious food and drank sikhye for dessert. I ended the weekend feeling very reassured and happy. The japchae was a little too sweet for Koreans to eat, but foreigners praised it for being so delicious, and I brought it home, stir-fried it again, added red pepper paste, and ate japchae rice, and it was really delicious. Please try it at least once. Everyone working at the restaurant was friendly and it was clean.Clean and friendly restaurantJapchae. pork cutlet. All of the soft tofu was delicious.I went with my child, and he drew too many pictures on paper, so he noticed me. He was so kind and brought me colored pencils and pens, so I was able to wait with my child before the food came out.The parking lot was large and had lots of seats, which was nice. The waiting time for food wasnt long, and I ate all of the side dishes they gave me while I was waiting, and I was very grateful that they refilled it. As it was my first visit, I asked a lot of questions about the food, and I was grateful that they explained it well without being annoying.

jincook
8890 Valley View St A, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Craving some good and authentic Korean food, I found my way back to Jin Cook and as usual, it did not let me down.ITEMS ORDERED:Sweet Potato Cheese Curry KatsuSpicy Braised Beef Short RibGarlic SuYukMilitary SoupTASTE:Let me first mention that Im half Korean to add some credibility to my review :) ;) I will say that the Kimchi here is probably my favorite out of all places. That is mainly because it has a slightly sweeter flavor and less sour than others that usually have that more pickled flavor. I was told that its the owners mothers recipe so that just makes it all the better. The Spicy Braised Beef Short Rib aka Galbi-jjim is a dish Ive had before and is one of those flavors that just wants to make you keep on eating. The only thing that slows you down is how hot it is with it being in the stone pot. Its so savory, a little sweet and has a slight amount of heat. I will say that I do have a good tolerance for spicy food though. Besides the meat which is so tender, I really enjoy the pumpkin and rice cakes in the dish. Unless you are with 3 or more people, youll most likely have leftovers.Sweet Potato Cheese Curry Katsu is a unique variation that I dont think Ive seen at other places. Theres a subtly sweetness that goes well with the cheese, pork, and crunch. Be careful when you take your first bite, it comes out and stays very hot.The Military Soup is one of those really comforting soups thatll make you feel good if youre under the weather. Its actually pretty spicy so be warned. The pork belly that came had a real nice flavor that adds to the dish overall. It was my first time having the Garlic SuYuk and its as tasty as it is to look at. The pork is cooked perfectly and the garlic paste that it comes with has so much savory flavor, with the right amount of salt. I could really see this garlic paste tasting good on so many other dishes in general. The chili paste is not really hot but provides a slight chili flavor adding to everything else.SERVICE:The service was exceptional. Getting all the warm Korean welcoming vibes at this place just adds to the comfort food feel. They were really friendly and attentive the whole time.LOCATION & PARKING:They are basically located in a shopping plaza with an Albertsons so there is lots of parking. The interior is very comfy and warm with its abundant wood use making for a welcoming ambiance. If you are craving some delicious Korean cuisine you should definitely check this place out.

Kitakata Ramen Ban Nai - Buena Park
7550 Orangethorpe Ave E300, Buena Park, CA 90621, United States
Ive never been so embarrassed in my whole life until now. I never had an issue with coming here. But tonight will be the last night I come here because of the employee Lisa. I paid for my food with a card. I never leave a tip on my card. I always leave a tip in cash. Apparently now this restaurant uses a self serve card payment. But if you pay with your card and dont tip they know when you receipt is printed. I went to walk up and get change for a cash tip with Lisa makes a loud comment That table didnt tip. Another employee asked who ((later I found out this was the manager)). Then Lisa pointed at me and my friend. The tables next to us turned and looked at us. I made a comment saying I was gonna leave a tip in cash. I went to go talk to Lisa and asked her why did she embarrass me in front of the whole restaurant because I leave my tips in cash. She denied everything and kept repeating What tables heard me. I want to know what tables. So with Lisa poor behavior I asked for a manager which Lisa referred to me as a Karen. ((Because I have pale skin....jokes on her Im Hispanic))I told the manager what happened. But the manager handled the situation poorly. I told her your employee embarrassed me for yelling out in the middle of the restaurant that I didnt tip on my card. Youre employees should never assume. I also mentioned that you were standing right there next to her when she made the comment. They denied the whole thing and accused me of being rude because I didnt tip. Lisa kept demanding that I tell her what tables. Because she wanted to talk to them. Please dont ever assume you didnt get tipped because someone didnt put it on the card.I dont think I will ever be back now. Ive been coming here for over two years. Im sad to say goodbye to this place.

Slurpin Ramen Bar
7941 Beach Blvd #G, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Slurpin Ramen Bar is a small ramen restaurant neatly tucked away in the same shopping center as Claimjumpers. It sits right across from Knotts Berry Farm, so you could easily pass this spot without ever knowing you did, which would be unfortunate. The level of flavor the ramen carries is quite considerable. You can choose between mild to hot, and even the mild has a level of heat and flavor that can not be denied. They carry the usual and unusual fare of appetizers, such as takoyaki, bulgogi spring rolls, garlic edamame, and the like. You cannot go wrong with any choice, as for the ramen you can choose the usual tonkatsu broth, the chef special which comes with corn, crunchy onions, bean sprouts, spinach, and umami oil, a veggie ramen, as well as tsukemen for dipping. Choose what style you desire. They have a lunch combo from 11:30 to 3 everyday where an additional four dollars gives you a house salad, appetizer, and ramen of your choice ( some apps have an additional price point included ) and parties of six or more is an added gratuity. You can split the bill, so keep that in mind or bring cash to decide what works best for the group. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, tasty food, and a nice diversion from the amusement park fare that anaheim is very well known for. Not that its bad, but every now and again, you desire something a bit different. This works.

Uncle Fung Buena Park
7855 La Palma Ave Suite 5, Buena Park, CA 90620, United States
Laksa love here! Whole Laksa love!Man, do I love me some laksa mee. I remember serving jury duty at the Alhambra courthouse, and two of my lunch breaks were spent at Borneo Kalimantan Cuisine, where I had the most wonderful fortune of having laksa mee Singapore for the very first time. Perturbed in finding an eatery closer to me, I now have an option not far at all from my residence.Buena Park is home to the second Uncle Fung Borneo Eatery, with the first being in Long Beach. On a cold, rainy day, laksa mee Singapore beckoned me into its warm, loving arms & I just had to satisfy my craving.Laksa mee Singapore (w/ homemade egg noodles)-Choice of either beehoon (thin rice noodles), kway teow (flat rice noodles) or mee (homemade egg noodles). Hey, when somethings homemade, you gotta get dat, yo. The creamy, savory, coconut milk curry broth is accentuated with shrimp, fish cake, fried tofu, hardboiled egg, sweet corn, scallions & fried shallot. Love at first slurp! Think ramen, but kicked up a notch with rich coconut milk. The spices, the right amount of heat to appease spicy lovers, yet not enough to deter the non-spice lovers, the perfectly al dente noodles. Like a seasoned ensemble cast, it all just works. Probably my favorite soup dish, period!Service was good. I was quickly attended to when ordering and after the short wait for my piping hot bowl of soup to come out. A fair amount of seating, Uncle Fung is best suited for smaller sized parties.Parking is via a small private lot. There is an adjacent parking lot, but I believe its only for the bank & IHOP, with signs declaring so. Street parking is also available behind the restaurant. Uncle Fung is located right across La Palma Ave. from the Buena Park Downtown Mall.Laksa for lunch? Why not? Uncle Fung Borneo Eatery hits the spot when I need to satisfy my laksa mee craving. At a little over $10 a bowl, and being minutes away, Uncle Fung has become one of my go-to spots for good grub. Perhaps, I may explore the rest of the menu, say the roti or chicken satay, but I dont foresee ever dining at Uncle Fung without having a bowl of laksa mee Singapore front & center on my table.Highly recommend!NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM
