I really want to love Flame Broiler, but every time I order a tofu and veggie bowl, I end up with a piece of chicken or steak.This has happened 3 times now - the last two of which I called back to complain. I understand that offering tofu is a new venture for FB - but they need to quickly learn that a lot of people that order it are getting it because of ethical reasons, and not just because they like tofu.

I always go to Higher Taste for the hemp kale bowl (with tofu instead of tempeh) and the avocado jalapeño burger and noticed today they opened up a coffee shop on the far end of the restaurant. Asheesh the barista working recommended the bliss brew because I wanted something a little chocolaty with my lunch. And my oh my, he was right! Sweet but not too sweet, with just a hint of vanilla. Ill definitely be back for this epic treat--thanks Asheesh for putting a little pep in my step today!

Found this place while sitting at the intersection of Anaheim & Alamitos when the restaurant’s sign caught my eye, I LOVE BAHN MI! I’m so glad I decided stop by. The vegetarian/tofu sandwich was delicious. Listen, I knew it was going to be bangin’ when they didn’t provide a sauce. I thought to myself, that’s confidence to know it’ll be perfect on its own and boy was it! My only regret was not buying 2. Seriously, I’m sitting in my garage wondering if I should drive back and get another (I have no self control). Can’t wait to come back to try the Vietnamese coffee and try the chow mein. Also the man at the counter who helped was very friendly and hospitable! They also offer guests charging stations for their devices while they eat or wait, nice touch in this era where everyone’s phone is always on low battery!

Great vegan restaurant with some fun plays on popular street comfort foods. Made a reservation online around noon for 7:30 that night (mid-week). Overall was a lovely experience. Definitely coming back.We ordered the tofu Bahn Mi bowl, the fried mushroom Po Boy, the fried pickles, and added a side of fries to the Po Boy. A lot of fried food, but it was done perfectly - the last of the fried pickles were still crunchy at the end of the meal. The mushrooms in the Po Boy were marinated such that my girlfriend (who usually does not like mushroom earthy flavors) thought they were great. The fries are also worth mentioning: perfect; crunchy on the outside to the last bite, but creamy on the inside. Looking forward to future meals here.

Tasty Food To Go is hands down the BEST Thai food spot in Long Beach and dear I say in all of Southern California! ? Tasty is the perfect name because it truly is TASTYYY!!To this day, no other Thai place compares to the favor of this restaurant! ? My go-to(s) are Pad See Ew (my personal fav), Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Beef Jerky, and obviously a Thai tea. Everything on their menu is chef's kiss…just scrumptious.? I can't put into the words the out of this world favor you will experience, seriously. ?Not only is the food amazing, but their staff are always so KIND and attentive to your needs (plus the owner is so funny hehe). They truly have it all - food + great prices + stellar customer service = PERFECTION!! ?? WOWWW!! We will be back again! Overall 3 Stars It wasn't “bad” but it was also a bit over priced for the qualityWe got a bento box lunch special, a bowl of pork ramen, and waters. Our total after the 20% discount was $40 + tipThe bento box was good! A lot of food, pretty solid quality, and the sushi was delicious. I'd give the bento box an overall 4.5 stars. Obviously this could vary depending on what items you get in it.The ramen however was less than impressive unfortunately. 2 out of 5 stars. The whole thing tasted Smokey and very BBQ-esk. The noodles were cooked perfect! But apart from that the rest was very okay at best. The pork is whatever quality, and the toppings are carrots and cucumbers as opposed to something more traditional like mushrooms and nori. The biggest let down on the ramen was the eggs. They were not soft boiled, or marinated. They were simply cold hard boiled eggs. If they could fix the egg alone the ramen would be significantly better!I hope they step up the ramen since it's in the name of the restaurant, but the bento was good and the staff very friendly and attentive!

@ sushi was incredible! The food was delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and detail oriented. I hate to be that person but i couldnt resist taking a picture of our food because it was definitely Instagram worthy! On top of being taste approved, the owners genuine pride in his restaurant is unmatched! He doesnt just serve food, but creates an artsy experience for his customers by explaining the region of the imported fish being served . Lastly but certainly not least, i must rave about the server Monse!Monse was the most AMAZING server EVER! She was extremely attentive in making sure we had everything we needed before we even requested it. She was friendly, professional, efficient, and just an overall pleasure to speak with. Although she was masked we could literally feel her smiling, and that type of service is rare. I dont have any recommendations because everything was delicious ? but if I was forced to choose I would say the Mexican was my favorite, thanks Monse for that recommendation! Ok I will end this post now because its quite long, theres just so many great things to say; check them out your taste buds will thank you!

Best Thai ever, I keep going back . New owners Bon and Venus are so nice and very accommodating. This is now my go to Thai restaurant. I try different items every time I visit The chicken satay is moist and mouth watering. The Mango and Yellow Curries very flavorful (I sub chicken for tofu in mango curry); their Crab fried rice is a mountain of real crab, heavenly Shrimp scampi is delicious as are the bang bang shrimp and steamed wontons. Next I’m going to try the Avocado curry and chicken larb. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed ❤️‼️?

5+ Stars!This restaurant has been my go to spot for the last 2 years that I've been living in Long Beach.I always find my way to Poke Pola for lunch or dinner wether I walk, bike, or drive. They are located off 2nd street which is a great place to be. 2nd street has tons of restaurants, bars, shopping, desserts, and so much more all around. There is tons of meter street parking but it's always full (Good Luck) they also have meter parking in the back.Poke Pola offers a great selection of everything. You walk up to place your order and choose your size, base, protein, greens, spice factor, and toppings. Everything is to your liking so if you would like less or more sauce, you can just let them know and they will do just that. Everything is always fresh, every time i go in I say “it smells fishy” in a good way lolThe portions are just right, most people I take say “wow, this is a lot” but I'm like “give me more please” lolThey have indoor and outdoor seating, so feel free to bring the pups and enjoy the outdoor seating.The service is always great, the owners are always present and from the outside looking in, they always seem to be doing anything and everything they ask their employees to do. The staff usually seem to be a younger group and they are always very friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable on the menu and always helpful with suggestions if needed. Everyone seems to work very well together which is one of the main reasons I love coming back. A great team and environment brings in returning customers.I'm a raving fan of Poke Pola and I can't wait to hear how much you love it as well.Enjoy!
