Tofu King
18414 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
First of all, let me report this: the price for a plate of Stinky Tofu and a bowl of Sliced Pork Rice is already $18.50 from $15.33 from July, 2018.My daughter and I went to Tofu King, Irvine but we cant dine in because of the COVID. Then three days later, we decided to have one at the Rowland Heights branch. We still cant dine in, but fortunately, there are outdoor seats.I visited Rowland Heights one and Arcadia one several times before, both are good. The Stinky Tofu I got this time is the best. 4 deep-fried Stinky Tofu have been cut into 16 pics, they are so crunchy and crispy, the tofu has so many little holes can absorb enough sauce. The pickled cabbage is so sour gives me a striking feeling which I love. The Rowland Heights one is located inside a plaza, which is so Chinese. Full of Chinese restaurants and every speak so loudly and even a woman uses handsfree WeChat to tell her friend on another side: I am going to eat my Stinky Tofu now!The Sliced Pork Rice is also good, which is not made from ground pork but sliced tiny pork pieces. Its a very authentic Taiwanese way.

Nice authentic Korean tofu restaurant, however the parking lot are little crazy
Tofu Bean Korean BBQ
18409 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
I came from Northern California to try out the soft tofu soup dish at this restaurant based on the fantastic rating but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The soft tofu soup was very salty and the ingredients (shrimp) didn’t taste fresh. Furthermore, the price is above average for Rowland height price level. I would not recommend this place and feel that the google rating (4+) is not accurate. The one thing I like about this place is it’s customer service. Other than that, it is a total disappointment.
Yei San Jib
18301 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
I recently had an extremely poor service experience at this restaurant. In the past, the owner used to personally attend to guests, being friendly and attentive, which is why I frequented the place. However, during my recent visit, a young man took over as a server, displaying extreme rudeness and a lack of basic courtesy. He didnt even offer water, and shockingly, without my consent, he forcefully added an 18% tip to the bill. Whats even more alarming is that he insisted on an additional tip on the already added amount, a practice I had never encountered when the owner handled transactions. This deceptive way of double-charging for tips has led me to blacklist this restaurant. I hope the owner becomes aware of these issues rather than allowing such rude behavior from the staff. The service is very poor. When I came here to eat in the past, the boss would often personally entertain the guests. The boss was very nice, friendly and attentive. Because it was close, I came here often. But when I went to eat a while ago, the waiter turned into a young man, very rude and impolite. He didnt even give me water, and there was no service at all. He even forced me to charge an 18% tip at the checkout without my consent. Whats even more frightening is that he showed the bill amount after the 18% tip was imposed. Me, he asked me to tip again on top of the total price after adding tip. This hidden and repeated tipping method is something that the owner of this store has never seen when checking out in person. The behavior of this young man made me decide to add this restaurant to my list of restaurants I will never eat again. I hope the boss knows all this and doesnt let this waiter behave like this.

Had an awesome time and meal at the new Soju Tavern. Overall food and service was great for being a new restaurant. The wait staff were super attentive and thoughtful. They suggested some popular menu items for us to try. We came in on a Thursday at 9pm, so we were starving. The ambience was super fun and lively for a weekday nite. I loved the music they were playing. The food came out quickly. Wings & fries were crisp and tasty. The pancake was sizzling and still crunchy. They gave us an array of sauces to try with the fries and pancake. Would totally come back again to try the other fun menu items. This place is great for a late night snack and drinks!
Zhangliang Spicy Hotpot (Rowland Heights)
1380 Fullerton Rd #104, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
Somewhat different style of hotpot, if it can be considered this. An apt description of what kind of restaurant this is, is more of a create your own bowl place, where you just grab the various toppings/veggies/noodles/beef in whatever magnitude and order you want. However, note, theres a procedure that you need to do, which is not written anywhere or how to do anything here. The staff either dont really speak English, or they have a low mumble voice, either or, its very hard to communicate with them. They are also pretty rude and brash on the procedure of things and gets frustrated pretty quickly when you dont understand what theyre saying. You are supposed to sign up on the Yelp pad to get seated, though based on observation, they have no one coming out to seat anyone, even with tables empty. If you sign on the pad and find your own table, since youll need a place to sit after giving your order to them to cook, theyll get pretty pissy.Other than that, the food is priced at $13.99 per pound for soup bowls and $14.99 for bowl mix. What I find somewhat scummy is that the scale isnt rated so your end price also includes the bowls weight, which itself isnt light. The food itself was alright, they had some interesting toppings, which I didnt grab. Note that the Traditional Pork Bone broth has to come with some level of spice, which is suspicious, as if you had a traditional bone pork broth, you would want to let your clientele to taste the many hour simmered broth...unless they used powder to make their base and then use spicy oil to help cover that fact.Im not sure if Ill come back here again, even though the food was alright, as I think youll have a better experience elsewhere.
Little Pan in Changsha Fever
1015 S Nogales St Suite 132, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
It was a very happy dining experience. From the ambience, service to the taste of the food, this restaurant is undoubtedly an impressive place.First of all, the environment of this restaurant is very simple, clean and stylish. Its interior design is full of modernity and cultural elements of Changsha, Hunan, giving people a comfortable and warm feeling. Moreover, the dining space of the restaurant is spacious, allowing guests to feel relaxed and comfortable during their meals.Secondly, our family of three ordered several dishes, and each dish was very delicious. My favorite is the dried bullfrog with perilla, which has a very unique texture with a subtle aroma and taste. The Lao Changsha stinky tofu is also an excellent delicacy. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is simply amazing! In addition, we also tried the signature pan-fried buns and stir-fried pork belly, both of which tasted very good. What surprised us even more was that the restaurant also gave us a free abalone rice, which was really a great surprise! Finally, the service was impressive. The waiters in the restaurant were very friendly and enthusiastic. They introduced each dish in detail and constantly cared about our needs during the meal. Our water glasses were always well filled and the table was cleared promptly which made us feel very comfortable.Overall, Sheng Xiao Jian Zai Ji Fei Frog Leap restaurant is a great place. Whether it is the environment, food or service, they are all excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try Hunan cuisine, you wont be disappointed!
Midoh - Rowland Heights
1380 Fullerton Rd #106, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
That famous curry House had gone. Instead you can enjoy Japanese style curries at MIDOH, which took over the place. You can eat in front of the restaurant. Dessert is fine made. The Tofu cheese cake tastes better than Curry Houses. The ice coffee is strong and good. They use coffee cubes instead of ice cubes. Overalls I like the restaurant.
Wagyu House by The X Pot
18558 Gale Ave Suite 122-128, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
This place just opened three months ago. I've been wanting to come here but I have not been wanting to drive. Today I came for my friend‘s birthday it was big 40. I wanted to take him somewhere different I knew that they had quality food but walking in the door the decor was unexpected in the best way. It's in a plaza I didn't even know how to get to before today. I made a reservation online but I got there early so they sat us early. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was Leo.I mentioned that it was our first time and we were celebrating a birthday he quickly wished my friend a happy birthday and then proceeded to explain the restaurant. He briefly went through where to find items on the menu and said he would give us some time to look it over. What I usually do as I asked for recommendations and favorites of the people who work there to give me an idea. Leo was really great about this. Instead of saying everything is good or picking out one or two things he specifically went through every section on the menu with his recommendations as well as favorites of customers. There was a lot of subcategories so I really appreciated him being so thorough. He checked on us consistently but not too frequently to disturb us. At times he would glance over to see if we had any issues. Kevin was another worker who would bust the tables and make sure water was full. He made sure to let us know to wave him down if we need anything in addition. We got the A5 sashimi, happy secret box of skewers, house Signature Wagyu platter & veggie and mushroom combo. There was a great selection of things I was a little overwhelmed at first because I wanted to try so many different things. But being I am at a Wagyu house I definitely had to focus on the Wagyu. To be honest the meat that came in the happy secret box was okay. It wasn't that it was bad but hard when I start with the wagyu. The foie gras was delish.Leo demonstratedand cooked the first piece of meat for us till show us how long and how the meat should be so we get the best experience.I was surprised that you had to pay for the sauce bar but it wasn't much and it's worth it. The sign on how to make the signature sauces was helpful but kind of in the way for other people when you're trying to reference it and go back-and-forth. Not sure if I even made it correctly because there was no estimate of how much to put of each ingredient in.Leo asked how the sauce is word I said there OK not sure if I made them right and he went and made me a sauce that I ended up splitting with my friend because it was so good. They brought out a sign and a plate sing happy birthday it really made my friends day he wanted to take pictures with it. Then we got dessert. The whole time I never felt rushed. Everyone was very helpful, attentive and polite.Oh yeah there was a show that came on. Someone's performing in the main room. Leo came over to let us know if we would like we can walk over there to watch the performance. My experience from beginning to end was some of the best service I've had. The quality of the food was great as well. Definitely recommend and I will be back.
