Udupi Palace is Indian vegetarian restaurant, Artesia has always been home of Indian food for South California. Udupi palace is chain of restaurants know n for its great south Indian Vegetarian food. This is a restaurant specialize in Southern Indian cuisine, which is 100% vegetarian but not vegan. Unassuming with friendly waitstaff, highly recommended for South Indian food.We got there on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm and were seated after about five minutes are so. This place doesnt take reservations so it looks like arriving sometime, so avoid noon during weekends. We ordered South Indian Thali, It came with rice and roti, which came with lot of curries like Rasam, sambar, poriyal, daal, 2 vegetables of the day, I got beetroot and Kurma. A special rice, chapati, papad, pickle, curd and payasam. Which will be very filling. Also, we got Idili Vadai combo and Idli. We also got Mysore malasa dosa. Sada dosa spread with potato masala.Parking is tight but you can find around the streets. It could be more clean in the Restrooms and friendlier staff.

Fast food joint. Busy but super well managed. Been around a long time. This is THE spot to visit if you are craving Indian street food. They have a dog friendly patio outside and air conditioned seating inside. If you are looking for Indian sweets, especially during Diwali, look no further, this is your shop. Vegetarian restaurant, highly recommend their Gujarati dishes.
El Pollo Inka Gardena Peruvian Restaurant & Nig...
1425 Artesia Blvd, Gardena, CA 90248, United States
My wife and I just got home from visiting the restaurant located off the 91 Freeway in Gardena and our experience was not the best. When we arrived we were greeted well, our server was pleasant and took our order and that was the best part of the entire service. Our server never returned to our table. From that point forward, no one came back to our table to check on us. We never got our drinks and they did not even put utensils at the table. After much wait, we got our food and that's when they discovered that they never brought drinks, utensils, soup or bread. All of a sudden they all rushed and put everything at once at the table. By the time we were finished with our soup, our food was cold. When we finished eating, another server came to our table to get the plates and asked if everything was good. I told her it was not and asked to speak to the manager. Instead of getting the manager she asked us what was wrong and we told her how no one ever showed up to our table and how the food was cold. She asked why we did not tell the person who served us that the food was cold, and we told her we couldn't because no one ever stopped by once. The server said she was going to ask the manger to give us a discount and walked away. A short time later, another male server (who was serving the table next to us) showed up and said he heard we had bad service and asked us what had happened. We went through the whole story again and he said he was sorry that the most he could do was to give us a free dessert, which we turned down. While he was talking to us, the check was dropped off and the moment we left the payment, it was immediately picked up and we had our change. Funny how quick they were to drop off the check and were looking out for the payment but not as attentive when it came to our service. After the guy left our table, the first female server who heard our complaint came back and asked if everything was ok. I asked her if the guy I had spoken to was the manager and her response was “he is right now.”

Came here without any prior recommendations, looking for a Pure Vegetarian restaurant. Their khasta kachauri (chat) was light and authentically Indian flavored. When it came to the Kathiyawadi Thali, each item looked like a home-made preparation that is spice-optimum, yet absolutely mouth watering. To pick a few, the Moong dal, masala-khichdi & kadhi, kathod were really special from the Thali. I absolutely recommend this place, as by far it is the only one restaurant that actually satisfied my craving for authentic Indian food.
Yantra Kitchen
18511 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
Modern looking Indian restaurant with limited food options especially vegetarian and slow service. Below average food. Was excited to see Pani Puri stall they have, but all you get is really bad 6 pani puris in $10. They don’t even use real chutneys, all they use is concentrate which is super sour and the other one is red garlic paste.Other than pani puri, we tried paneer frita which was really chewy and hard. We also tried kashmiri kofta which was average and had too much oil in it.

Ive been going to this location for yeeeaaarrrsssss NEVER EVER have I had such a I dont care about my job or your food type of attitude when it comes to service or my food at this location. Line to the new Sams gas station I see they put there took me 25 mins and it was late night, no lights were on looked like the place was closed besides the line, they did not have all options available on the menu, I told her no lettuce on my tacos OF COURSE THERE WAS! Im so glad I checked because I handed it right back to her and no straw no where I had to open my top and drink my beverage ? just really disappointed. Its the closest damn Taco Bell to my area first of all and this what you do, late night when some people are not in the mood for you to be lazy at YOUR JOB especially when it come to MY FOOD!!! #disappointed

Kin-D Thai Kitchen

Food is still good compared to the previous Thai Express. Got the pad se ew beef and thai tea. Tastes similar. They painted/remodeled the front area which looks nice. They had 4 cooks in there running the line compared to the 2 prior older thai ladies that were machines.Only real criticism is they jacked up the prices and decreased the portion sizes. Used to be about $18 for my order, now $25 and the tray is less full. Such is life. Ill probably hit it a few more times with the whole family and get their take. Similar thing happened to Rice Things down the way.
Mychals Caf
2302 Artesia Blvd, Redondo Beach, CA 90278, United States
Stopped by Mychal's cafe on Friday with my mom and sister. It was around 10:30/11 am and I was hungry enough to eat more than the typical muffin and a hot drink. I ordered a grilled cheese plus bacon with a green salad, a chai latte with oat milk (they have tons of milk options!), and a snickerdoodle cookie. While waiting for my food I walked around and admired the artwork on the walls (created by Mychal's students), the bright lighting, and the overall open airy feeling of the cafe. Shortly after we sat at a table, a staff member brought my chai followed closely by my sandwich and salad. The sandwich was perfect, it had the most beautiful grill marks on the bread! Not too cheesy, not too much bacon, not too small, not too large. Plus the salad had the perfect amount of dressing. I should note I'm a notoriously picky eater. The service was friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other options on the rather large and varied menu.
Curry Lounge - Indian Restaurant in Artesia
18611 Pioneer Blvd, Artesia, CA 90701, United States
I recently dined at Curry Lounge, an Indian restaurant that offers an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The menu is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. The food at Curry Lounge is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish is expertly prepared, showcasing authentic spices and fresh ingredients. We started with the samosas, which were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For the main course, the butter chicken was a standout, with tender pieces of chicken in a creamy, well-balanced sauce. The vegetarian options were equally impressive, particularly the paneer tikka and the aloo gobi. What sets Curry Lounge apart is not just the quality of the food, but also the attention to detail and the passion evident in every bite. The naan bread was freshly baked and complemented our dishes wonderfully. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make our dining experience memorable.Whether you are a fan of Indian cuisine or new to it, Curry Lounge offers a fantastic dining experience that is sure to satisfy. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy great food in a welcoming environment. We will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious offerings!
