Nancys Caf
356 Elm Ave, Auburn, CA 95603, United States
Whats not to love about a hometown diner that manages to surprise you every time with the quality of their cooking/food (and not covered in fats/oil). I am close to going nowhere else in Auburn given my 6+ experiences here. They offer all the standard breakfast options with oodles of variations so you are sure to get what you want. They also offer a vegetarian/ vegan menu of more than a page that is more diverse than pancakes and a piddly salad. Expect veggie burgers, veggie hashes (that are 90% veg, not potato), tofu options, etc. Its a lovely change of pace compared to other restaurants.I also have to call out their bacon, which has been cooked perfectly 6:6 times. (Im a veggie hash and bacon girl fyi.) Poached eggs too, you can tell a great restaurant when the center of the egg is perfectly runny and warm (ie it hasnt been sitting in a fridge overnight).
Avatars Indian Bistro
8657 Auburn Folsom Rd, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
I moved to Granite Bay a few months ago from Fremont, CA. I definitely miss the diversity of restaurants that could be found in the SF Bay Area. I was pleased to find Avatars close by, and I enjoy the taste of their dishes. Their cauliflower appetizer is delicious and the curry dishes hit the spot. I appreciate that their menu features gluten free and vegetarian options for those who have dietary restrictions. My husband and I have mostly gone there during lunch hours, so we have not experienced the service at a busy time. Ive found the staff to be consistently thoughtful and polite, and I am sure that the staff available works as efficiently as possible to serve those dining there, both during low-key and fast-paced times of the day.
Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza
2566 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603, United States
WORST FIRST EXPERIENCE GETTING PAPA MURPHYS AND NEVER WANT TO GET AGAIN.Id give negative stars if I could. Had ordered through door dash for delivery then canceled the order. Door dash stated that they could only refund the drivers tip(had free delivery) because they had already starting making my pizza. So I called and spoke to someone there at the store. He stated that the store had received the order and that it showed canceled. I told him what door dash read and he told me to come on in, theyd get started on the pizza and wed get it all figured out. Im thinking okay no problem he was very nice on the phone. This was all around 5-15pm I get there ask for my pizza and the manager(didnt catch his name and it wasnt who I spoke to) very loudly and rudely told me it was canceled. I explained what had happened and what i was told. His response was we can start making it but youll have to pay for it. I explained i had already paid for it and got a straight no from him. I told him it has already gotten charged to my account and received a no from him. Frustrated I paid yet again for my pizza and was told by the nice female worker quietly as if she didnt want him to hear for fear shed get in trouble or something that I could come back in and get refunded if it showed a double charge. I thanked her and waited for my pizza to be made that I was told on the phone that it already was being made but not had been. Got the pizza, went home and looked at my account and sure enough was charged double so for one family sized stuffed pizza and one thing of cookie dough cost me $50! Ridiculous ?

Local Roots Food Tours
2408 Lindbergh St, Auburn, CA 95602, United States
We originally booked the Downtown tour but pivoted to the Midtown tour. Such a great time! My fiance and I are both vegetarian and Dawnie did an incredible job of accommodating us. She went out of her way to find options for us and suggest other restaurants for us to stop at that would have good menus for our dietary restrictions. Highly recommend!

Pizzeria Luba
780 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603, United States
Do yourself a favor and come eat here, now! Don't look any further… Wow! I am so happy my fiancé who is never in the mood for pizza was in the mood for pizza. I love to find new places and as soon as I saw the high ratings I stopped looking. We arrived mins before they opened and saw there was already action inside. We walked in and were sat immediately by our server Allie/Ally. She was so sweet and fantastic.I asked about some of the dishes she recommended and she gave us a minute to look over the menu. We started with the fig and prosciutto appetizer. We never knew we liked figs so much the blend of arugula, prosciutto, figs, and goat cheese was incredible. Then we opted for the fat Lou pizza, I had to try it with the ranch that was made in house and it did not disappoint. Our meal was absolutely delicious. When we thought we couldn't be impressed anymore, she offered us dessert. Options were homemade ice cream or cannolis. The flavors were either vanilla, chocolate, white macadamia (I think), and pistachio my fiancé obsesses over pistachio ice cream so we got the pistachio ice cream it was probably the best pistachio ice cream I've ever tried. I would recommend this place 100 times over. I think prices are fair for the quality of food and service that you receive. I can't wait till we visit again in Auburn because I would love to try their meatballs and honey badger pizza and I can't forget the Cesar salad and garlic bread. I hope you check this place out and enjoy it as much as we did.
Grass Valley Pasty Co
100 S Auburn St, Grass Valley, CA 95945, United States

Karin Thai Restaurant
13338 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603, United States
My wife and I ate lunch at Karin Thai today for the first time and were very impressed. Its a small hole in the wall restaurant in a strip mall and from the outside appearance youd probably drive by and not give it another thought. That would be a mistake and a bad decision on your part if your looking for really good Thai food. The decor inside is simple, but the food is complex, rich, and full of flavor. The menu is diverse offering many of your typical Thai dishes, but then surprises you with items like rib eye steak, Thai Pork Spare Ribs, Spicy Chili Catfish, and Salmon Red Curry to mention a few. Most of the menu items have a vegetarian option.Service was excellent, and the hostess/waitress was friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the Panang Curry, and I ordered the Green Avocado Curry. Both were ordered with chicken and medium heat. Both dishes came out in a reasonable amount of time, piping hot, and freshly made. We could smell the wonderful aroma drifting off both dishes. Both dishes were beautifully plated. My Green Avocado Curry had what appeared to be a whole avocado in the dish and was loaded with chicken. My wifes Panang Curry was loaded with chicken as well. We shared both dishes, and the heat was perfect for us. Too many times Ive had Thai food where the heat either overwhelmed the flavor of the dish, or the chef just plain substituted heat for flavor. Not here. Both dishes were full of flavor, and the heat accentuated what were already extremely delicious entrees. We compare Karin Thai very favorably to Auburn Thai Garden which is our go to Thai restaurant in Auburn. However, Karin Thai has just earned its place along side our favorite, and we look forward to trying many of the other dishes on the menu. I dont give out five stars easily, but Karin Thai earned it. Well be back.
Flaming Burrito Grill
2530 Bell Rd, Auburn, CA 95603, United States
Best Mexican restaurant Ive ever been to. Warm authentic chips and staff. Eat one, chat with the other. The chef came to ask how our food was. Guac was fresh with the perfect amount t of lime. Veggie burrito was $11 and they asked if I was vegetarian to make sure nothing in there had touched meat products. Spend your money here!
