One should set expectations when coming to this restaurant. The glass of white wine was goodThe Caesar salad is just lettuce and basic sauce, the aranchini taste was mild. Probably we didnt order the right dishes. The chicken covered with a lot of cheese. The Francaise chicken had a basic taste with very little taste of lemon. The waiters recommendation was not suitable in terms of the main course.Il faut se fixer des attentes en venant dans ce restaurant. The glass of white wine was goodLa salade César est juste de la lettuce et de la sauce de base, le goût de laranchini était doux. Papa Murphys Take N Bake Pizza

UPDATE: I was told 12 days ago by corporate that I would get a refund from the owner in 3-5 business days. I am not even remotely surprised I still have not gotten it as I see in the reviews hes TERRIBLE to customers and it was not just me. Just sent a follow up email to corporate... To Be Continued...I placed an order for pick up at Callistoga Road. I called and canceled it long before I was due to pick it up. I got charged anyway and I have called 3 times since 1/3 to find out how we could resolve it. Today the owner called me and apparently he also owns the one on W. College. I typically pick up from there because I live on this side of town, but was on the East side of town that particular night so ordered on Callistoga. My kid got sick so I cancelled my plans and the order. He tries to tell me that it was delivered to my house. I told him no, why would the Callistoga Road location deliver to Coffey Park. He then says, well it came from W. College... But... W. College doesnt have delivery... ??? We will not be buying anymore food from EITHER store. Waiting to see if I can get it resolved higher up. Wish me luck!

This was a great experience and I almost never assign 5 stars for a review because, to me, this would mean that nothing could be improved and there is always something that can be improved. As a matter of fact, my wife and I stayed 3 nights at the new Four Seasons Hotel in Calistoga immediately preceding our 3 night stay at the Francis house and we would chose to stay at the Francis house every day and twice on Sunday given the choice between the two.My wife and I are seasoned and privileged travelers who are accustomed to the convenience and service that is expected by luxury travelers. We typically do not stay at bed and breakfast accommodations but found this experience worth the detour to our normal routine. The house construction, bed quality, bed linens, bathroom, decor and food were what you would expect from some of the most expensive luxury hotels in the world. Secondly, the location is perfect for exploring the town of Calistoga on foot and experiencing the charming restaurants and bars in town. Thirdly, the food quality was fresh, healthy and extremely tasty but the presentation was worthy of a Michelin star chef. This was a real bonus.1000 thread count sheets, sumptuous goose down pillows and memory foam beds with supple pillow topper are staples at Uber luxury resorts but the service staff is routinely hired help who execute their service objectives professionally and efficiently. The Francis house experience is similar but is enhanced because the owners make you feel like you are family guests in their home. They have an inviting style that services your every need but encourages a deeper connection with their guests that eventually turns into a friendship. If you are searching for a luxury stay in Calistoga, within easy walking distance to downtown Calistoga provided by charming people who you will eventually call friends, look no further than the Francis House.
Calistoga Wine Way Inn
1019 Foothill Blvd, Calistoga, CA 94515, United States
The staff was helpful and friendly. As soon as we checked in, Elizabeth upgraded us to a slightly larger room than the one we had booked, since the inn wasnt that busy. She did a good job explaining the schedule of the inn, when breakfast was served, points of interest, etc. The stairs leading to our room were a bit steep, especially with a heavy suitcase (no elevator), but the back stairs were much easier to maneuver. The room was cozy, inviting and nicely decorated. The common area was a great place to hang out and admire the beautiful architecture. The temperature of the inn was comfortable overall. A bit on the warm side in the early evening, but cooled down later. The property in the back was somewhat expansive, built into a hillside, offering a beautiful view of the valley, and lots of nooks for privacy, even a fire pit. Overall, a great place to relax. The breakfast was excellent-frittata and chicken sausage on one day, scrambled eggs and ham the next, all made fresh and delicious. There was fresh fruit, home made yogurt, and granola available for those not wanting to partake of the more robust breakfast food items. The walnut scones were the best-melt in your mouth goodness. Then there were the perks-free wine and sherry was available starting in the early evening. Coffee and tea were always available, along w/chocolates, trail mix and home made banana bread. Cold bottled water (no charge) was available to us, kept in a small refrigerator in the upstairs hall. We could use the refrigerator for our personal use, such as to keep a bottle of wine chilled that we purchased, if necessary. There was even a free on-demand shuttle service, sort of like Lyft, that would take you anywhere within a certain radius of Calistoga. Although we didnt use it, it was nice to know of its availability. The only down side is the property is on a busy thoroughfare, with heavy morning commute traffic, and parking on the property can be a challenge, due to the parking area layout. Also, when guests are talking loudly, the sound travels through the walls. The up side is the property is in walking distance to downtown, a great starting place to explore the area.We look forward to coming again.
Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection
755 Silverado Trail N, Calistoga, CA 94515, United States
This review is for the spa only. When booking I ensured we would be able to use the amenities, both my wife and I together. Unfortunately, the steam room outside of the locker rooms was out of order, they do not have a sauna and because we were not guests staying at the resort we were not allowed to use the fitness center. So the only thing my wife and I could do together was spend time in the multiple pools.Well...after about 5 minutes in the hot bath with jets running my wife noticed something dark floating near me. It floats up to my chest, I pick it up and quickly realize it is a DEAD RAT, about 6-7” long. We jump out and alert the staff. The Area Director of the resort was standing close by, she comes over, actually let's out a brief laugh and says “unfortunately they're attracted to the warm water, perhaps you should go to the other side and enjoy one of the those pools”. The other staff apologized and no one ever brought it up again. No one checked on us to ensure we were having a better time AFTER having a DEAD RAT float up onto my chest. When checking out, there was no record of any issues whatsoever. The young lady asked how my visit went and I said great, other than the rat issue. She had no clue and offered no compensation, discount, nothing for the minor inconvenience of a DEAD RAT floating onto my chest. I told her that was unacceptable. After talking with the manager, she comes back with an offer to waive the $40 fee they charge when you are not a guest on weekends. Again, I told her this was unacceptable. Helen, the same Area Director that actually laughed about the DEAD RAT that morning comes to the desk and asks what I think our compensation should be since the $40 discount was not enough. What do I think. Really? Is this how guests should be treated? Honestly I had no idea what to say, so I said $200 which is the price of one of the massages. She agreed to take an additional $200 off our bill. Not once after the initial encounter with the DEAD RAT did anyone come check on us to ensure we were having a better stay. There was no record of any incident. I'm assuming they expected us to leave and be alright paying full price and having no sort of apology given in form of discount etc. This, along with Helen's blasé attitude, makes our experience at the Spa unfortunate.
Solbar
755 Silverado Trail N, Calistoga, CA 94515, United States
It’s hard to argue that you know Napa Valley cuisine and restaurants if you have not been to Solbar. Amazing dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They divide the menu roughly into vegetarian/refreshing dishes and deeper dishes often involving meat or protein. My only problem with Solbar is that I don’t have more stomachs to process all the food I want to order when I go. The wine list is amazing too. And the setting is beautiful. And the staff treat you great. And, and ... I suggest you go. Now.

Love coming for brunch and have come at least five times, almost always with our infant and then toddler. I love the outdoor patio, the French toast, how accommodating the restaurant is of our toddler and that there are tons of NA cocktails and beverages options. Service is always excellent and I love the food. Always feels like a treat to drive up here on a sunny day. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options too.
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley
400 Silverado Trail N, Calistoga, CA 94515, United States
Update: We are still dealing with the mess that the hotel made as they're dragging their feet to pay for the rental car related bills that occurred while our car was in the shop. They also offered us a one night free stay with all the restrictions and strings attached as compensation which is insulting. I don't even want to drive by the place, let alone spend another night there. What a horrible hotel to add to otherwise superb Four Seasons! Im currently waiting for the Calistoga police to arrive in the lobby because the hotel valet damaged my car and the security team is not providing me with the incident report. He and the manager tried to assure that the hotel will pay for the repairs without providing me with any written declaration and if I felt that this hotel was run more professionally, I mightve taken their words at the face value but this place is run by amateurs. Heres the recap of last 20 hours-Arrived around 3-notified by the valet that they had damaged the car. At this point we were planning on moving past this human error, enjoy our stay and deal with the situation when we go back home.-used the spa facility, the only cooling feature was out of order on a 90+ degree day. Attempted to use the shower to cool down and the heavy glass shower door slammed shut on my finger, leaving cuts and bruises. Took 2 tries to get antibiotic ointments and no waterproof bandages were available barring me from using pool and other wet facilities with open wound-water pressure of the shower in the room was dismal and soundproofing in the room was horrible as I could hear everything from upstairs-I saw a bunch of broken glasses on the pathway to the rooms/villas and instead of being swept up properly, they were shoved away to the bushes.-our main reason for the visit was to eat at their restaurant, Auro: the meal itself was pleasant, nothing exceptional and not worth the repeat, just what someone would expect from one Michelin star restaurant but a friend who came to eat dinner with us injured herself on the way out after the dinner. She rolled her ankle, hit her head and ear on the metal pole outside of the restaurant and while it wasnt the hotels fault that she injured herself but the response from the restaurant/hotel was much less to be desired. No first kit was offered from the restaurant while my friend was on the ground with a bleeding ear. They called their security who took a while to arrive, but no empathetic gestures of bringing out a chair or even an offer to wait inside was made by the staff. When the security arrived, my friend finally got some first aid treatment and when she asked for a pair of slippers(her shoes were broken during the injury so she was barefoot), she was told it was not possible. They couldnt give her a pair of in-room slippers? Ive worked at numerous high end hotels in SF, Las Vegas and Napa and this makes me think that they dont have proper emergency procedures or at least the staff is not trained.-Ive texted the concierge/front desk to have the incident reports for the valet damage ready by the check out time and they agreed.-Following morning, I was woken up by in-room Bluetooth speaker blaring random navigation info. I think it just connected to random phone outside. Thin walls and shoddy construction, maybe?-the gym wasnt air conditioned when it was 88 degrees outside.-At the time of checkout we were met by the hotel manager and the head of security who didnt want to provide us with the written report which resulted in having to call the police and filing the report. While all of these were happening, there was not a single hospitable gestures/service recovery made by anyone along the way. We travel frequently for work and leisure and Napa is one of our favorite weekend destinations. Weve been frequenting Auberge properties but had such a great time at the Four Seasons in Seoul this summer that we decided give this place a try. Well, what a waste of time and money it has been and at least I know to cross this property off the list.
