After searching on google for nearby vegetarian restaurants, I found a vegetarian restaurant in EL Monte -The bento from Mede Su Zhai?, the food is delicious, the bento is super big, there are a lot of vegetables, and its still five-grain rice! The price is affordable! It’s really suitable for people who don’t like cooking but still want to eat!??????I also particularly like their fried rice noodles, fried rice and bamboo shoots! It’s really fragrant and delicious! ! ! Slobber!I recently started to be a vegetarian! My wife love the Crunchy tacos she obsessed with them this time were in el monte so we stop to eat she went to the bathroom when she came out this employee very loud guy told my wife in very agly way that she couldnt used the bathroom. First it was very dirty and second I went to the bathrooms I ask the lady and she said it was ok so I dont understand this really rude guy this this happen was at 7:40PM really totally bad service I ask the big fat lady for a cup for water waited 15 minutes and she didnt even bother with me so I went toy car for water. Really where is the hospitality in this place I guess since is a corporation the dont think they need customers. I will never come back to this place horrible SERVICE...this is the reason why this place is with no customers

Such a fantastic lunch experience at 101 in El Monte.Decided to finally check out this place for some lunch on Sunday and glad I made it in. Quality food & great service always make for a great meal.Went with the premium option which of course gets you the premium meat & seafood option. If you want a good contrast of flavors I definitely recommend you get the split pot with sukiyaki & the mala which worked out so well. Very good sweetness & enough salt savor flavor are great for cooking your proteins in. Add in the other soup, it was a good amount of spice but not overbearing.Of course had to order all the premium meats & they were not a letdown. Sliced paper thin, nice marbling & cooks in no time. The shrimp pre-skewered makes for easy cooking. Youve gotta order the proteins (meats & seafood) from the server & you help yourself to the self-serve area where youll find the usuals (veggies, fish balls, noodles, sauces, etc.). Be sure to get some wagyu fried rice. It was better and fresher than I thought itd be and pairs well with of course more meat.Ended the meal with some ice cream which basically tasted like Thrifty ice cream, which is a good thing.Service was exceptional and really makes me miss how some places just dont have customer service anymore. Zoe (or Zoey?) was so friendly and attentive the whole time. I just loved her overall personable demeanor and she made sure we were never without food.Its much smaller than I thought but I think thats because I had the size of All That Shabu or Shabuya in mind. But I kinda think the smaller size works better in terms of service & timing. Nice, clean interior which is always appreciated. I could be wrong but I dont think they have a parking lot, but even so, I found street parking east to right out front.When in El Monte or nearby and you have an appetite, be sure to check them out.

I woke up around 3 AM. dreaming of having the perfect bowl of MenudoUnfortunately, it wasn't realThen I woke up this morning, knowing that I had a purpose…I had to turn this dream into reality. I didn't know how but I knew today was the day. I did my regular morning routine made it to work and then around 11:35 AM today I got hungry I began to hunt for the right restaurant then I stumbled across this place,What caught my eye at first in the menu was that they sold tamales hereI was shook impressed and baffled, but relievedI had found a place I had found my purpose I walked in around 2:13 PM. I ordered a bowl of Menudo with a side of one Tamale.Around 2:25 PM I received my food the service was fast and they made me feel at home reminded me when I was back in MexicoMichoacán,As I was finishing my bowl and I took the last spoonful I then knew my life was complete. I was filled with joy, happiness, fulfillment, hope, gratefulness.I would 110,000% recommend this place.

11/3/21:Still the best empanadas, in my opinion. Their price still stays the same at $2.09 per piece. I also bought 1 lb of regular chicken wings, 1/2 lb of seasoned fries and 2 pcs of cheese empanadas. The cheese empanada is their new item, not sure how it will tastes. So sad that they take out their Jalapeños Poppers. I used to love them very much. I do hope they will bring it back in the future. Currently, there is no dine-in at the location, only take out. They recently developed the online take out menu for those who want to order ahead. The line can be very long during peak hours.----------------------------------------------------2019:I finally gotten the chance to try this cafe/market. I have known this place since 2 years ago but never gotten the chance to try it. Wow.... I must say their beef and chicken empanadas are superb, my wife and I really like them, they are full of meats, superb taste and not over-powered by other spices. It is a little pricey, $2.09 per piece, however, it is worth it. They have another excellent item on their menu, it is the jalapeños poppers, they sell them by pounds, not pieces. I was surprised when the sale person asked how many pounds I want for the poppers. I will definitely stop by this cafe in the near future for their empanadas and poppers. In my opinion, It is the best around San Gabriel Valley area.
