Avatars Indian Bistro
8657 Auburn Folsom Rd, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
I moved to Granite Bay a few months ago from Fremont, CA. I definitely miss the diversity of restaurants that could be found in the SF Bay Area. I was pleased to find Avatars close by, and I enjoy the taste of their dishes. Their cauliflower appetizer is delicious and the curry dishes hit the spot. I appreciate that their menu features gluten free and vegetarian options for those who have dietary restrictions. My husband and I have mostly gone there during lunch hours, so we have not experienced the service at a busy time. Ive found the staff to be consistently thoughtful and polite, and I am sure that the staff available works as efficiently as possible to serve those dining there, both during low-key and fast-paced times of the day.

Taco Bell
6975 Douglas Blvd, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
This Taco Bell has to be considered the worst of the worst as they are disconcerting in serving food as ordered, their tortillas are served directly from their cooler despite placing warm food in them, food was observed on their floor and their staff does not tell the truth. Specifically, I arrived by vehicle at 5:15pm and attempted to open their lobby doors which were all locked despite a sign on the windows stating Lobby Open. I drove through their drive through and ordered 4 beef burritos and 3 beef soft tacos and within 30 seconds the order was placed in a sealed bag. Before leaving I asked the Teller why are the doors locked when the sign states the Lobby is open and he advised me that this is the way it is and apologized. When I arrived at home all of the ordered beef burritos and tacos were actually chicken and the tortillas were all cold. I immediately drove back to Taco Bell and again went through their drive through to report their mistake. A new female Teller was present who took the food bag and my receipt. An apparent Manager returned and said he would prepare a new corrected order for me and within 1 minute handed me a new sealed bag which I opened in his presence and again found the tortillas cold. I refused the order and requested my money back. The Manager then told me to come inside and he would refund me my money. In response I told him the doors were locked as I was here 15 minutes ago. In response the apparent Manager stated the doors have always been open, as well as threatened to call the Police if I refused his request. Upon entering the restaurant I observed food on the floor. Upon pointing it out to a worker he laughed and walked away. The original Teller was also present however he now claimed that the doors were always open. The Manager requested my receipt as the female Teller denied me handing it to her. The Manager refused to acknowledge the cold tortillas and eventually refunded my money back to me. I will never return. If I can give this Taco Bell a negative 5 star I would as their food, service and ethics are below all consumer expectations as well as the standard of care.

Green Grill - GraniteBay

-Green Grill-Really nice folks. Portions aren't gonna make you stuffed, but you get the proper size for a good lunch spot.Very fresh and flavorful. Lots of Sandwich and taco options. Not fully vegan everything. The Tikka Masala was ❤️‍?and the Burrito bowl was vegan but really delicious!I do think they need more to the atmosphere. Very quiet (too quiet ?) and the menu would be easier read if not on a 8 1/2 x 11, 12pt laminated sheets. Easier if on a large screen or board above the opening behind the register. Just my $.02.Please go support them and enjoy their delicious food.

New Glory Eatery & Taproom
5540 Douglas Boulevard Suite 140&150, 5540 Douglas Blvd suite 140&150, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
Im biased so a 5 star is going to happen. New Glory is my favorite beer so I had to go to the new Eatery. Ive already had all of the beers and they are great. The service was friendly when I arrived. It was mid day on a Thursday so it wasnt very busy. I sat by the kitchen area so I could hear the interactions.*The chef asked for to go boxes for an order, the wait staff said that the slip didnt say to go... the chef said she was told after slip came in they wanted it to go... 5min later I was handed 2 boxes.... but nope, I didnt ask for it to go and 2 different people came over to say, Did you ask for the boxes? Im confused.....Needless to say it seems there is still some things to iron out but it was fine. I got a burger and it was tasty. I got salad over fries and again it was good. A lot of French dips and Salmon BLTs were going to people and they both looked good. Next time Ill try one of those.

Hazumi Sushi Bar
8685 Auburn Folsom Rd, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
The service was great and the restaurant was extremely clean. Big red flag though when its a weekend and the parking lot is empty and so is the restaurant. I still decided to give it a chance. The rules are extremely small and overpriced, it was around $30 for two tiny rolls, miso soup and a Pepsi before tip. Everything tasted bland and not fresh at all, some of the fish actually tasted like it was old. I honestly had to force myself to down everything and I had to do it in between Pepsi shots because it wasnt good. I used to live in Japan and and I know good authentic sushi and this definitely is not it. The service was great though, the restaurant was extremely clean and everybody was happy to see you, they greeted you when you came in and out. But the sushi was pretty bad. As for the miso soup, it was great and that was the only thing I actually enjoyed from the food. Im not sure where all these high star reviews are coming from, but people dont know sushi. Its also the only sushi restaurant in Granite Bay so that could be the reason why people keep going, no other options.

Farmhaus
8230 Auburn Folsom Rd, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
I feel the need to describe our entire experience as some of it was very good and some very bad. We were seated quickly at our reservation time, we sat in the back building which was quieter than the main dining room. I loved that there were really candles in the table instead of those plastic led imposters. We did change tables because the chairs at the first table were very rickety, I'm not a large person but I felt uncomfortable. I get that the bistro style tables are inexpensive but they are not comfortable to enjoy a nice dinner out. On to the service and food. Our waiter mentioned they were out of Lobster Ravioli and of course that was what I had my heart set on so that was the first disappointment. We ordered the daily bread and a couple cocktails which were both a little different, outside the norm but very good. The problems started with our entrees. My husband had the Chicken Ballatoni and Gnocchi, but discovered there was no gnocchi on his dish. The waiter said he would get some but came back to say the entrees are proportioned and they are low on gnocchi so he couldn't get us any and offered a replacement side. I ordered the Braised Pork Shoulder with white beans. The Pork was tough and tasteless, the beans were undercooked and not edible. After much ponding, like maybe I can take it home and cook it some more, I decided to send the whole plate back. At this point we were disappointed but not upset. Then the host, or manager came to our table and explained again how the gnocchi is portioned, we had to tell her 3 times there were NO GNOCCHI on his plate, NONE. It wasn't that he wanted extra he got none! She really didn't seem to believe us and said well “I put in your order for potatoes” like she was doing us a favor. Once the potatoes arrived they were good but by then the rest of his meal went cold. At this point we didnt even want the free desert our waiter offered we just wanted out. My point of this long review is that I'm sure this place has great food but the Host really needs to work on her conflict resolution skills because her reaction to our claim that her kitchen messed up was the tipping point. When the waiter brought our bill he agreed that the Pork was tough and not what it should've been so they didn't charge us for it. We're sorry we only left a $3 tip on a $93 bill but that was all the cash we had after using a gift card to pay for the meal. Maybe we'll go back and use the rest of the gift card for lunch one day. I'll never go back for dinner again.

Oak Leaf Cafe
5540 Douglas Blvd STE 110, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
This cafe has HUGE potential, and I'm really rooting for it. I hope that they continue to improve and that one day I can change my reviewSummary: I just ate at oak leaf cafe and felt the need to leave a review because I was so hopeful, and then so disappointed. In few words, I would call Oak Leaf Cafe a letdown.Good:I was extremely optimistic walking in, it's a new cafe - and new to me. The furniture and atmosphere is stunning. Honestly I'd consider returning because it's gorgeous. There is an impressive view and incredible lighting. The ownership has done an amazing job, and deserve a ton of praise. Also the food was hot. Unfortunately that's about it.Bad:The food was bland and dry. I ordered an “ultimate”omelet which came with potatoes. The potatoes were undercooked and under seasoned. The eggs were over cooked, painfully dry, and bland; even though the omelet is stuffed with cheese and bacon. It wasn't inedible, but for nearly $20 you'd expect something tasty. The staff was somewhat friendly (but no attempts to make conversation- which is not an issue), but took a long time to bring a water glass. We were not offered more water. Overall it didn't feel like the effort was really there. There seems to be a lack of supplies, the table next to us ordered a dish and had to reorder twice after the waiter returned with the bad news that they were out of supply. In the morning. Long before noon. The management needs to step up their supply game. They do not serve alcohol, which is a shame because with enough mimosas in my system maybe their eggs would taste good to me.Conclusion:This cafe has HUGE potential, and I'm really rooting for it. I hope that they continue to improve and that one day I can change my review. They may need to replace their chef, or their wait staff, but overall I think they are destined to succeed!

Capriottis Sandwich Shop
4060 Douglas Blvd Ste 104, Granite Bay, CA 95746, United States
This is by far the BEST sandwich shop we have ever eaten at and it has quickly become a weekly stop for us. They have AMAZING food and the owner has such compassion & human kindness! ❤️Our very first time ordering from this restaurant, there was a mistake on our order (It happens!) and tomatoes were accidentally put on a sandwich I had ordered, but due to a food allergy, I was unable to eat the WORK OF ART that was delivered sadly. ? The kicker was… our entire family had just been diagnosed with COVID ? and we were all under quarantine. ?So, the owner indicated that he would refund my order and simply have me re-order the food through Door Dash again. Easy-peasy - right, but it was to close to closing hours and I could no longer order through Doordash. After calling Capriotti's back, the OWNER, Damien, personally got in his car and delivered our food for us! ? Who even has that kind of compassion these days? It seems like COVID has brought the worst out of a lot of people, but not Capriotti's! The owner felt so bad for the mix up and even included a little treat! ?I'm telling you… if you would like an AMAZING deli sandwich, there is no other place on earth! They were so good that, while we were still on quarantine, our daughter turned 15-years-old and she decided she wanted (what we have affectionately dubbed as Capp's) for lunch on her birthday. So, I called just to remind them about the “no tomatoes” thing, and they remembered me. ? They treated us like family and even included a little Happy Birthday note and a Brownie for Bella's birthday! ?We love you Capriotti's ~ AKA Capp's ❤️Thanks for taking the time to read my book! Now go support and amazing establishment that has a heart of gold and order yourself some Capriotti's tonight! ?
