Lemonade Restaurant
21016 CA-1 d120, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
First time coming to Pacific City & also to this establishment. My experience was upsetting to say the least. It was Sunday, September 20th 2020.I came in with a friend & she mentioned shes been to a different one, in a different city, with her family & said it was good. Why not try?Obviously we are living in COVID19 time so theres one way in & one way out. We proceeded to the entrance & there were quite a few people in line. We looked at the menu & my friend mentioned this place had alot more on the menu than she remembered. We had an idea of what we wanted. But for some reason one of the ladies taking order took the family behind us? So I stood there confused? That was what first threw me off. The other lady (blonde sweet girl) then proceeded to ask what she could get for us. We ordered. & she asked would that be all & directed us towards the register & said to say the name to proceed to pay. Ok great. Thanked her & moved it along. We paid & the lady at the register told my friend to go to the patio. Ok great. We decided to look for a spot. Noticed the tables were dirty so I took the liberty to go & grab napkins & noticed a sanitizing spray bottle for cleaning on the left side of the register so I walked towards it & was about to grab it & got scolded by the lady at the register. (#1 cleaning products should be stored away from view or tucked under the register or cabinet & not left out so anyone could think they may grab unless its able to be reached for like in other establishments). I then mentioned that all the tables were dirty. So she said she would have someone go clean them.I said ok & walked away since I basically was given attitude for trying to clean a table down (as they should be doing regardless every so often per regulations of the health department).I can only assume she then yelled out my friends name for food pick up but since I was a little embarrassed as how she spoke to me, I may have not noticed & returned to my friend to inform her.The guy they sent out cleaned a table next to us & tried to walk away but before he managed to do so I asked him if he could clean our table. He did. Then (us waiting on our food) realized everyone else had there food except us. So I then went back to the front (the original lady who took our order was there & I asked her) if that was our food? She looked at the cashier & the cashier AGAIN with attitude said I called out the name & no one picked it up. At that point wouldnt you try calling it out again? No apparently not.So I asked do I just grab it? [ I was scolded from touching what was right next to it (chemical & food right next to each other BTW).] I grabbed my food & stormed out. That entire experience was frustrating. It was just overall a huge hassel & for it being my first time, I cant imagine coming back with such a hurry process to get people in & out & that uncomfortable feeling. The food was ok. The lemonade was refreshing but I think Id go elsewhere for such an experience.

I write this review with great disappointment. First off, I would like to say, I am a person of great patience (I am a high school teacher at a low income school) and it takes A LOT to upset me. I also am very compassionate towards people in food service as many friends, students, and family members work in the field and I hear all the stories. I dont always believe the customer is right and I am pretty understanding with mistakes made. However, I was recently very upset by this nekter location in the Bella Terra.I have been a long time customer (I use to live right upstairs at the apartment above it) and have made many concessions over the years with their slow service, or forgetting certain things in my order, or even when they are having a crazy day and are short with their customer service. Never complained, even continue to tip them almost every time. Last Sunday August 12, I placed an order for 1 acai bowl on the app. It was a hot day so I knew they would be busy and selected a time that would give them an extra 15 minutes to prepare the bowl. When I arrived, the cashier informed me that their internet was down and they did not receive my order nor can not fulfill the order I made online. If I still want the order Id have to pay cash and then to get a refund from my online app order I have to contact customer service. At this point I said I understood, but Ive already waited for the bowl up to this point and am very hungry. I still want the bowl but I have cash in the car and my parking space was very far away. I asked if he could start the order for a simple Banana berry bowl (NO MODIFICATIONS) and I will be right back with cash. He said No, I can not do that. I tried to reason with him, I said, Look, I get your internet was down, my order was not fulfilled, but you have to understand that regardless that was not communicated to me until I got here. Im 6 months pregnant and have just parked 1/2 a mile away due to lack of parking. Walked here in mid-day HEAT-- It will take me a bit of time walk back to my car to get the cash and come right back but i dont think its fair to have to wait another 20-something minutes for a bowl i technically already paid for. Can please just write down my order, start it while I get the cash in my car? I even showed him that it was PAID FOR ON THE APP. He responded rudely, No, I cant do that. Thats not how we work here. Plus, I dont know if you really will be coming back. I AM SO INSULTED! Im trying to be patient, reasonable, and understanding towards this guy and hes accusing me of potentially swindling him?!?!? Its $10 F-ing dollars, Ive tipped the staff there $5 a couple weeks ago (on my ONE 16oz green smoothie order) because I wanted to sweeten their shift when they had a crazy customer yell at them and this is the Karma I get?!?!?!?!?Mind you, there was NO OTHER CUSTOMERS when I was there so its not like they are slammed or busy. Theyre already causing a great inconvenience for me to have waited as long as I did originally, to go back to my car get cash, then go home contact customer service to get my money back. ALSO, NEVER ONCE APOLOGIZED!!!!! After feeling rather insulted and subjected to such poor customer service, I literally had to throw my hands up and said to forget it. Its been a long time since Ive felt compelled to have leave a negitive review. But to rudely insult a long time loyal customer (After inconveniencing the customer) and someone who has never caused a single problem and have been supportive of this business-- I cannot overlook it. Its not about the money, I can care less about that. Im just very disappointed with how unapologetic they are and even more so, the simple lack of courtesy or human compassion. It makes me sad and It also really showed that they neither appreciate nor want my future business. By the way, I have wrote an email to corporate days ago and have not gotten a response to rectify this situation.
VegiLicious Modern Japanese Vegan Cuisine
16821 Algonquin St #103, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, United States
I love this restaurant. There are not enough healthy or vegetarian choices in Orange County. We were warmly welcomed by one of the owners when we arrived. This lovely couple own, run and do it all.It felt so comfortable like we were eating in their own home. We had the chicken tender teriyaki bowl and the hamburger curry. Both delightful dishes. Even the chief came out to make sure the food was all good. I’m hoping more people will give this little restaurant a chance. It is not in the best location to be seen and get business. I am hoping this review will help. Would love to see this nice couple continue their dream and be successful. Will definitely be returning very soon!
Taco Bell
19002 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648, United States
There was an employee at the drive-thru who felt comfortable to roll his eyes, close the window in my face and walk away. All I did was order 3 cheap tacos and ask for sauce. The worker heard the opposite of what I said and left out the sauce. But that wasnt a big deal, the way the worker acted towards me was. I actually walked all the way inside to talk to the manager over it. The manager went straight into autopilot saying the worker just couldnt hear through the headset to avoid the issue of the workers unnecessarily disrespectful behavior. In fact, the entire staff in there are robots who mindlessly cater to or ignore specific customers based on which culture youre obviously a member of: because as soon as I came to the counter inside, they all suddenly pretended to be occupied and not see me, so I had to speak into the thin air for someone to call the manager. Its the fact that these workers think its fine to not see, hear, or comprehend certain people. They had none of these cognitive barriers toward the white customers who happened to be at the counter at the time I walked inside. Things like that make the situation way more stark and obvious. The manager was decent to the bare minimum, and did calmly listen to my problem, but at the same time, he was too nonchalant/mindlessly going through the motions, as if he was looking for an escape from having to manage a situation his workers behavior created, i.e. to do the minimum job a manager is paid for. There is no excuse for this restaurants behavior because granted language and cultural misunderstanding- how is it that a person can fully understand how to express aggression and disrespect? In the absence of everything else, body language is universal. I was friendly and not mean to the worker at any point, but he paid me back in the most dismissive, arrogant behavior he had. Theres no excuse. Also, how the entire staff acted like it was just entertainment and an inconvenience to them for the manager to have to be called over. I can say: its creepy, specifically to witness a mono-cultural staff who are all completely checked out, not conscious of anything, vacant of the concept of providing fair service regardless of what cultural background a customer appears to be from. These people dont have to wait for Halloween to be scary Minimum Wage Zombies. A regular paycheck of US dollars sure does short circuit too many peoples moral compass way too easily and thoroughly. Its a shame.I also plan to report this business to as many other agencies as I can, because no one should be treated like that just trying to buy unhealthy snacks on a random Friday. Theres no reason for their staff to think thats normal to treat anyone like that.
Green Tomato Grill
16062 Goldenwest St, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
Green Tomato Grill is a great place to take anyone looking for a wonderful vegan or vegetarian restaurant. The good news is that there are non-vegan options, too. Everything we have eaten here is very tasty and served hot. During this visit, we ordered the corn chowder, and it was very flavorful, and it has some heat if you like spice! The service is always fast and friendly, I highly recommend Green Tomato Grill.
Mitasie Vegan 3

I absolutely love this restaurant. They cook a ton of dishes with veggie meant that I usually cant order as a vegetarian. The food is pretty good all around, but their vegetable fried rice is hands down the best fried rice Ive ever had. They cater too, and its always a hit at parties. They advertise themselves as a vegetarian restaurant, which it is, but the majority of the food on the menu is actually vegan.
Taco Bell
16431 Bolsa Chica St, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, United States
I just left here 15 minutes ago. Went through the drive thru. Ordered a simple 2 Bean and Cheese Burritos and a drink. Asked for hot sauce. Paid, got my bag. While waiting for the drink I quickly glanced and noticed Fire sauce. Since I consistently am given the wrong sauce in the bag at this location I turned back and asked for hot sauce. Got my drink and sauce and drove allllll the way home to eat my meal before I have to be at work in 45 minutes. Get home. Dump out the bag and find 3 of these I don't know tacos….. now I'm out of luck because I don't have time to drive back and I can't eat these because I'm vegetarian. So thanks Taco Bell for ruining my day before my 8 hour food service shift where I certainly will deliver the correct order to the correct customer every time. Something the people at this location apparently find impossible to do. I'll be returning at 8:30pm after my shift to return this sad excuse for customer service.
LAWA Thai Cuisine
7251 Warner Ave # F, Huntington Beach, CA 92647, United States
We went to Huntington Beach to check out their shopping center and visited Lawa Thai Cuisine for lunch. I have to say, this is my new favorite Thai restaurant! The food is delicious and made me miss Thailand. We had a chance to talk to the owners. They are very friendly Thai people, experienced chefs, and we learned more about their dishes and stories. They use fresh and high-quality ingredients and create very unique and amazing presentations. Before the shop opened, they spent a lot of time designing it. Its such a modern take on traditional design. What we ordered:Hor Mok Taylay (seafood curry in a coconut shell) - 10/10, amazing presentation, homemade sauce is natural and flavorful, fresh seafood, and they use fresh-cut coconut shell. You can eat the coconut meat at the end.Panang Salmon - the sauce is tasty and the salmon is very moist. I could eat a whole bowl of rice with it.Kao Soi Chicken - the most delicious chicken legs, so soft and flavorful, the chicken meat easily fell from the bone and is very good flavor. Loved it.Grilled Pork Jowl Salad - never had it before, it's such a great appetizer, so refreshing, and the pork jowl was perfect.Poh Tak (seafood soup) - quite spicy for me, but my family enjoyed it.Papaya Salad - thinly cut, crunchy, and refreshing.Coco Island (coconut ice cream) - I love this dessert so much, with fresh-cut fruit on top, coconut ice cream, and also fresh sticky rice underneath. It was creamy and sweet. All in all, it was an amazing experience visiting Lawa Thai. They also have vegan options. I cant wait to come back again!

Yessss, a definite must-go!My food restrictions narrowed after watching the Seaspiracy documentary on Netflix, and I stopped eating fish for months.Although my body wasnt affected by this decision, my tastebuds were sad. I missed the comfort and the yum--factor of sushi, which were a go-to meal (particularly without rice) before photoshoots.Enter: Tama Sushi. Haven of both vegan, pescavegan, and carnivore options.I wish this place existed in Los Angeles.Although I inhaled my Bumble-afforded dinner too quickly to document its deliciousness via photos, its memory still cozies me.Order:-Vegan Miso Ramen. I adore how miso soup is included with every order (the equivalent of chips & salsa at Mexican restaurants) but this is worth the additional investment.-LB Vegan roll-Mango Tango roll-Magic Mountain rollSkip:-I regret nothing.Bonus points for such a friendly, allergen-accommodating staff, especially since we arrived 30 minutes before closing. They didnt rush us, and went out of their way to ensure their dishes accommodated my quirky dietary restrictions.Nom on.
