Taco Loco
640 S Coast Hwy Ste 1B, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
Im so confused by this place. Like I genuinely dont get it, is it just a tourist trap perhaps? How is this place rated so high? Because I dont see why anyone would come back here more than once, especially with the absurd prices they charge? My girlfriend wanted a taco salad, and I saw that they had a beef taco salad. Simple enough. Went to check out the place and I was looking for a burrito, but after checking the menu it was 17 DOLLARS for a beef burrito. No thanks. Told her to just get her salad and I would eat somewhere else, already started to have a bad feeling. By the way, if youre not from California and youre reading this, general rule of thumb for Mexican food here is the higher the prices, the worse the food. I dont make the rules, I just live here. The thing comes out ($11 for a half salad btw) and the beef is white. You may be thinking that it was chicken, but we asked and they said no it was beef. Never seen white beef before (Im heavily implying that it was not beef. Vegie/vegan meat perhaps, maybe the worker just didnt want to remake her salad. Which is weird because there were like 2 other people eating here). Didnt help that the rest of the salad wasnt great either. Dressing was flavorless, guac was just diced avocado, no cheese, and the tortilla part was literally just 3-4 loose tostitos chip rounds. She got maybe halfway through with it, final verdict it was gross, how do you mess up a taco salad. So yeah I dont know where they get their prices from, but Im so glad I didnt order their $17 white beef burrito. Maybe the fish tacos are good? Wouldnt know, those things are like $8+ PER taco, so not paying that.About a block away theres an incredible place called Taco Stand. For two dollars more than that pitiful taco salad, you can get these loaded shrimp and high quality steak smothered fries that are so good. Went there after so I could eat, and we ended up sharing because she got nothing out of Taco Loco. Other prices for items there were great, it actually looked like real good Mexican food (staff was way nicer too).Save yourself a trip, if you want some good food go to Taco Stand about a block away. The only Loco thing about Taco Loco is their prices and white beef. The only reason Im giving this place 2 stars was because the decor was pretty cool inside.

Orange Inn
703 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
My friends and I visited the Orange Inn in Laguna Beach on Sunday morning, May 26. We were excited to enjoy breakfast at this local spot, but our experience was somewhat disappointing.Upon ordering, the cashier was noticeably unhappy and gave us attitude. When my friend requested a medium OJ, the cashier abruptly yelled, Small or large! repeatedly, instead of simply explaining that those were the only available sizes. Her behavior made us uncomfortable and embarrassed, as everyone in the vicinity could hear.Additionally, when I ordered a fresh orange juice, the server placed it on the counter rather than handing it to me, despite my hand being outstretched to receive it. This small gesture felt dismissive. The food was decent, though we were surprised that tortilla chips were served instead of French fries. While one of the employees was kind and helpful (I wish I had his name), the overall service left much to be desired. When looking for a table, we found one with dirty dishes left by the previous customers. Although the staff removed the dishes, they did not wipe down our table. I noticed they cleaned other tables for other customers, which made me wonder why ours was overlooked.Overall, the food was okay, but the service needs significant improvement. We hope for a better experience next time.

Gorgeous beach area, nice customer service, though the food could be much better tasting and quality for the price, and such a fancy hotel. The side salad was a bit too small and dry on the edges, also lacked the dressing. I wasnt asked what kind of dressing I wanted, and it was not on the side. The vegetarian burger pâté was okay, but I dont recall any tomatoes, and other vegetables than the lettuce, and it was a vegetarian burger on top of it. We love veggies! The condiments were hardly noticeable, I had to order extra mustard, and I am not a condiment crazy person, but I hate a dry burger. I still am not sure if I have seen and had a tomato slice in it. Quality ingredients are also expected, such as high pectin tomatoes that has some flavor other than water and sourness, if any would be in it, and not dry lettuce for a $30 burger! I cant say the value was there for the price, only the service and the view. I have been around the world in many high end hotels, and must say, choosing and acquiring quality ingredients is the responsibility of the chef. It is not just a fast food joint such as Jack in the box etc. should resemble the prestige one expects at such bar/restaurant at high end location for this price.

Yummy Dogs Gourmet Hot Dogs & Arcade
381 Forest Ave # 100A, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
Took a stroll in Laguna looking for a quick snack, stumbled upon this place and immediately walked in because they advertised vegan dogs! I am a vegetarian so I wanted to check it out.I got the Chicago dog and it was amazing! Such great flavor. To make the visit even better, Frank was working there (hilarious, but truly was his name) and he was a joy to talk to, filled with passion. My husband and I were the only ones in the there at the time, and I watched Frank make the hotdog with so much care. Even though the hotdog was delicious, the entire experience was made by Frank.Hope you all get a chance to try this place out!

Saigon Beach - Laguna Beach
1750 S Coast Hwy Suite 1, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
The food was okay, my wife thought the pho was good, but if you have ever been to a mom and pop shop youve had better. You also have to ask for the normal accompaniments, bean sprouts, jalapenos, lime, etc. I assume this helps them save money and cut down on waste.Speaking of money, I spent close to $90 dollars for five chicken wings, one bahn mi, two apps, and two pho. Not mind blowing but definitely way too much for the quality of food. Youre paying for the neighborhood youre eating in.Based on the price, food quality, location, etc. I will not be returning.

Wine Gallery

Dont let the name fool you! The name implies wine, but the foodis so much better than youd expect from a place called the Wine Gallery. One of our favorite goto spots in all of Laguna. Casual elegance with a very down to earth local, neighborhood vibe. Great service and excellent food. Chris and his staff are so welcoming and accommodating, and the chef Josh has such a creative and diverse menu that its a perfect place for anyone. Fungi pizza, add sausage with the arugula salad is the best!Chris is also so community minded and charitable as well, which we love!

Casa Laguna Hotel & Spa
2510 S Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
I had the “staycation” of my life here! This hotel and spa is absolutely amazing! The decor, the details, the views and the customer service are all top notch. I've never even written a Google review - but I had to write one about this place.I went there for a birthday trip with my boyfriend (we share a birthday!) and I chose this location for the beautiful decor, the location and the fact that the spa has a SAUNA! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, filling our stay with charming details, always speaking kindly and clearly and being unobtrusively ready to help with whatever we needed. I felt they truly understood the idea of hospitality here. They made sure we had things like celebratory champagne, complimentary sangria, morning coffee, and extra water - they went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed! I do wish that my morning coffee had been able to be served with heavy cream, as that's my favorite, but I made a butter coffee instead. Nonetheless, drinking a cup while sitting on our private section of the shared balcony, overlooking the ocean, was absolutely perfect. ? The views from the ocean-view rooms are stunning. The hotel followed COVID-safe protocols (masks, gloves, sanitization and distancing) and every staff interaction we had was professional and pleasant. We also had a “couple's experience” at the spa - a private wellness soak in a small jacuzzi with a view of the pool, grounds and ocean, followed by a *wonderful* couple's massage - and those massage therapists are wonderfully trained! Both my partner and I felt this massage experience was among the best of our lives! I sensed some shiatsu technique, deep tissue skill and Thai massage background, and in fact, my therapist told me afterwards that she had trained in Thailand! It was so good I found myself wondering what it would be like to have this woman on staff at my imaginary estate. Sara was her name, and she is an excellent practitioner. The sauna is amazing as well - spacious and private. The best heat is really in the middle, so although normally I might lie down and relax there, I sat up most of the time to get a better sweat. I was thrilled to find an accessible Finnish sauna in these times.I also loved the courtyard, the chic lobby area and the colors - it's such a beautiful, castle-like place, built in that Spanish colonial style, and it feels both old / historic and modern / new at the same time. The details are lovely.I will be back. This experience was amazing and this place is so special, I am very excited to return someday soon for another staycation.

Broadway by Amar Santana
328 Glenneyre St, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States
I have been waiting to try this restaurant out for quite a while... Finally scored reservations, 9:15 was the only time slot they had on a Saturday night, so I was all for it.We were sat by some men who complained the whole night long about not getting their food on time... I was hoping this wouldnt be the case for us.We were greeted promptly with the sweetest server... I wish I was able to remember her name, but at that time I was already a bit tipsy! They have some amazing cocktails to choose from. Here is what we ordered:Cocktails:Loucette - good but not excellent.Appetizers:Artisan Cheese Plate: it was amazing, we love cheese plates... My favorite on there was the Brie!Roasted Beef Bone Marrow: Reminded me a lot of their sister restaurants Vaca, amazing nonetheless. Yummy sourdough with some raisins, salt to accompany the taste.Entrees:Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak: I had it done medium rare, which it came out perfectly. I just dont think I had the best flavor. Usually steaks make me drool... I love them! This was alright. It came with potatoes, with chilis and chimichurri sauce....Sadly: They dont really have much of a selection for Vegetarians...We settled for a side of the:Crispy Cauliflower... Which was amazing, but they really should accommodate all types of palates.Dessert:Pavlova: This was a sweet treat for the end of an okay dinner.Overall, maybe the anticipation and high expectations were too high. Our service was excellent, but the food was okay.
