This restaurant has only couple members in staff running around. They took orders quickly and also serviced food quickly. I ordered all vegetarian dishe. There is a separate vegetarian menu. Food was served quickly and also was presented well. I liked the plates. Also food was freshly made and it was not spicy nor hot in test but very hot in temperature. The food test was really good, I enjoyed it. Basil eggplant curry was very testy. The restaurant has very good decoration. Staff was not engaged much to make customer pleasant experience.
Indigo Burger
5743 Stevenson Blvd, Newark, CA 94560, United States
Drove 15 minutes to try a new vegetarian restaurant (it is vegan as too), and wow was it worth it! I ordered an impossible burger with fries and it was so delicious! The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The burger had an exceptional brioche bun, and is the best plant-based burger I have ever had as a vegetarian of 5 years!

Hinodeya Newark
5724 Thornton Ave B, Newark, CA 94560, United States
This is probably the second or probably third Hinodeya location I've been to in the Bay Area…?! And Hinodeya does not fail with their ramen ? honestly. I was rather quite impressed with this location, but became a little critical… but that's always a foodie's dream, as always. My friend and I decided to get Hinodeya after calling the restaurant and asking if they could take out bamboo shoots and seaweed (friend's personal preference), and they were absolutely accommodating. Hence, we went because we knew we were in for an experience. The chicken karaage was honestly a little bit disappointing — to say the least. While the chicken was good, the portion was a little too small. I had wished they could have served a bigger plate, because that for $10 was not really worth it.Then came the ramen. The broth was really rich and honestly I could taste how strong the dashi taste was. The wheat noodles were very spongy and very al dente, which was enough to mix along with the other things in there. Good crunchy garlic side too. The meat was very yummy and so was the spinach…The only thing i would have liked to see was a little bit more soup… it was a little too less and it got saturated by the noodles a little too fast. Now the atmosphere is honestly mid. I honestly would have wished the tables were more spread apart — but it's such a tight space where I had to be very aware of my surroundings. The location is prime location, just I wish they could have considered putting less chairs instead of so many more chairs.I'll definitely be coming back to eat here with my other friends — but for the meantime, I'm gonna let this location sit for now, and try the other ones.
Shri Ram Chatpatta Corner
5409 Central Ave, Newark, CA 94560, United States
This is an Indian vegetarian restaurant full of surprises. The restaurant owners were super friendly, and even though I wasnt familiar with the items on the menu, they were patient enough to recommend something they thought I would like! Different from ordinary greasy Indian food, the boss carefully combines organic and healthy ingredients for each dish, which is delicious and guilt-free. When you listen to the boss recommending dishes, you can fully feel their passion for each dish.If you want to try a unique and passionate Indian cuisine, this is definitely the place to go. highly recommended!
Bear Bitez
5486 Central Ave, Newark, CA 94560, United States
Protein in a puff pastry and baked??? Sign me up.Bear Bitez is located on Central street in Newark in the same shopping center where Bobs Burgers (RIP) for you true South Alameda county OGs. Only a couple tables inside.Seems to be a two person operation. Tried the Beef and Chicken options with pink salt chips and I must say they were both quite delicious. My better half and I both agree that we like the chicken version more. Chicken is a bit more flavorful to us although the beef is tasty as well.Owners as others have mentioned were very very nice and that alone would make me return. The location is a drive off the freeway but I hope they are successful and expand/open another location that is more convenient for me soon.Edit: Returned and have sent several friends and fam here. Only suggestion to owners would be to add some seating outside possibly ???If you like my reviews, consider following my profile for reviews all across the SF Bay Area . Why follow someone? It causes the person you follows reviews to tier to top when you pull up a business. I find this very handy when researching venues.Rods Review grading scale explained. Essentially I personally base it on the likelihood of a return visit and I try to be stingy with 5 star reviews since they should be special in my eyes. Price/Value also play a role obviously but there are $ and $$$$ littered across my grading scale.5 stars - Ill go out of my way (approx 6 % of my reviews) 4 stars- If I was in the area Id go here and would recommend, (approx 38% of my reviews) 3 stars Maybe if was nearby, (approx 37% of my reviews) 2 stars -Would likely not return, Only if you want to go, (approx 16% of my reviews) 1 star -No thanks, even if I was hungry, (approx. 3 % of my reviews)
Allstar Burger
6950 Thornton Ave, Newark, CA 94560, United States
Might be a whole in the wall, but it is divine! I absolutely love this place. I'm vegetarian, and their Harvester burger is ??? I love that you can pretty much customized your burger to your liking and dietary needs. I first came with my coworkers, then we told the rest of our coworkers and came back again. I then went with my partner whose comfort food is burgers. It was so good, we went again with their sister. Today, was the first time I had their breakfast veggie omelette and it did not disappoint. I freaking love this place and I will forever recommend this place to anybody looking for one of the best burgers in the Bay Area. The staff is wonderful and they make sure you have everything you need. As I told them this morning, I will be coming back! ?

Cal Eats Fresh Mexican Grill
39700 Cedar Blvd, Newark, CA 94560, United States
Is it Cal eats Fresh Mexican Grill as in a guy/girl named Cal that eats it or is Cal like California eats Fresh Mexican Grill? who knows but if you go here, then youre the one eating fresh Mexican Grill.5 Stars... better believe it! It was seriously that good. You walk in and you can smell the goodness and the you just know youre going to sit there in a food coma. I came here with my boyfriend and we ordered a cajun shrimp burrito, shrimp and steak bowl, and 2 blackened fish tacos. The servers/cooks there were really friendly and helpful, they helped my indecisive self decide what to get or else I would have been standing there an eternity before I could decide.Fish Tacos: This was superb. The fish had so much flavor, the tortilla was soft but held the taco together, and the sauce and the toppings were fresh. If youre gonna get one thing here, then get this because like the guy at the counter said to me and boyfriend, youre gonna want more, trust me. He was totally right.Cajun Shrimp Burrito: Large pieces of shrimp and the burrito was filled with them, every bite had shrimp. The shrimp was also spicy! A little bit too oily for my liking but I really liked the flavor.Shrimp and Steak Bowl: Thank you to the guy who told us to get in a bowl because it was really good in bowl form and I cant imagine it as a wrap, I feel like you would get less of the food stuff and more tortilla. The steak was the real star because it was bursting with flavor. I feel like this was the dish that showcased their mastery of the grill. The prices were reasonable, their portions were great, and the service was wonderful. I hope they keep it up because they are an excellent choice if youre in the mood for fresh mexican grill!
Himalayan Chef Kitchen
6180 Jarvis Ave # M, Newark, CA 94560, United States
We happened to stumble upon this restaurant and our only regret was not finding it sooner! The food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Tons of vegan and vegetarian options. They are take-out only — so know that before you go.Our favorites are the thupka, dry noodles, and the chili paneer. But everything we have had is so good!
