Local Greens
124 Lomas Santa Fe Dr #104, Solana Beach, CA 92075, United States
Oh no what happened here! I dont like to write negative reviews but nothing went well here today. I use to love Local Greens but havent been in a year. Went today and sadly disappointed with the food and staff. I walked in there was 2 women sitting at a table eating. Two girls working behind the counter. Neither one of the employees said a word to me. It was strange, I stood close to the wall menu and normal ordering end but still no attention so I went to the register and stood there to get help. Then one of the employees looks at me after almost a minute and comes over and says if your ready to order Ill help down at the other end, the other end I was standing at for minutes! I ordered the Baja Bowl.... it was cold. Cold rice, cold chicken, cold black beans. The ingredients are all stored in bake ware on heated surfaces, why is it cold? $20 for the bowl and ginger tea. Too expensive for cold food and bad customer service. Besides this I sat in a corner that theyve turned into storage and the bathroom was dirty. This place use to be great, Im really sad its going downhill. Hopefully the Owner takes notice and concern of this review and turns the place back around.

Ok…I cannot get enough of this place! If you like SweetGreen but like me have noticed the quality has gone down since going corporate, OGA is your new go to! Everything is freshly made and the Shake Your Cauliflower Salad dressing is out of this world! It's the most satisfying salad I've had in a while. I am not a fan of cauliflower so I was hesitant and damn I can't wait to eat that again.A MUST HAVE: Red Velvet Smoothie (a healthy protein smoothie) that somehow tastes like a red velvet cupcake without being too heavy or filling it's the perfect healthy sweet addition. ObsessedMy boyfriend got the Turkey Delight (because duh it's insane) and the Tropical Smoothie (amazing for a light vibe with no protein) pairs great with the sandwichesThe Corn Ribs to share as a starter tasted like summer time by the pool with family. A light, sweet healthy appetizer is also A MUSTNot pictured: we took their Brownies and Protein Pancakes to go as a gift for my cousin let's just say I didn't have enough time to take a photo bc he devoured them! Also highly recommend their Matchas, it's real matcha sourced from Japan and you can taste it no additional fatty sugars needed.
Bongiornos New York Pizzeria

I ordered the Stromboli and two slices . One white with ricotta s and a slice off pepperoni all for around $22. It was more food than I could possibly eat for dinner The pizza is classic east coast style thin crust and it is re-heated to perfection one of the best slices of pizza in San Diego. The Stromboli was huge, the length of the entire pizza box and filled with veg is cheese and pepperoni and came with a generous amount of marinara sauce for dipping. Again, the crust is cooked to perfection, with a nice crisp layer on top and moist bread. With no marinara, the Stromboli is delicious but dipping it into a generous dunk of marinara is amazing. If you're looking. For a great place to take the kids and family, or just your bros, this is an excellent choice. A bit off the beaten path in Solana Beach, they offer lots of outdoor dining and plenty of feee parking. I love these gems that aren't always obvious choice, out of the way, and well worth the trip. Support your local business, as well. Some of the best Italian food and pizza around and reasonably priced. A slices is $3.50 which in todays money, is a steal. One slice is a nice meal, two slices and I was full. A little Stromboli and I was pushing it. Stromboli for lunch tomorrow, you can't lose.

Great service, great food and cocktails and a strict covid19 policy making guests feel secure in the safety of going out during these crazy times. Carne asada Taco plate and pink Cadillac margaritas were great. SO had vegetarian potato tacos that were great too! Highly recommend this restaurant for service, food and safety.

My wife and I went here before a show at the Belly Up and had a dreadful experience from the moment we arrived. It was President's Day at about 7pm, and there was no hostess to seat us (even though they had a sign that instructed to wait to be seated) and the one server we saw ignored us. After seating ourselves 10 minutes later, I asked that our table be cleaned and we get menus. The annoyed waitress ( who later exclaimed to the whole restaurant “I'm grumpy!”) sent someone else out 5 minutes later who took our order but had to come back twice to confirm what we ordered. (She hadn't written it down at all.) The food arrived and was fine (for fried bar food) but my request for a coke was forgotten three times, and when I said I no longer wanted it and asked for a water instead, that was also forgotten three times and only came with the check. Our waitress apologized for all the wait and mistakes and gave us $7 off the check (10% I believe), but it doesn't help to be sorry at the end of a bad experience when there were plenty of times during our meal when things could and should have been corrected or regret expressed. We will never eat or drink here again, and I would advise you choosing literally anyplace else-the food and service can't be any worse anywhere else, and Solana Beach has plenty of places that deserve your business.
Bangkok Bay Thai Restaurant

We enjoy stopping by Bangkok Bay Thai Restaurant after visiting Del Mar’s Dog Beach. They love to greet our dog and as we wait for our to go order on their bench, we end up getting some socialization time too. The food is one of the best in San Diego County. We are vegetarians and they cater to us so, it is nice. Our goal is to eat outside and it is a nice cool outdoor space but limited. Very dog friendly!

Claires on Cedros

TLDR - 5/5 delicious food, fantastic service. Expect a little bit of a wait, nothing out of the norm for a restaurant in demand. There was a little bit of a wait to get our food but it was nothing out of norm for a busy restaurant. Also weather was perfect, and the waitress had a second sense of when to refill our coffee and water. This lets us enjoy each others company while waiting for what ended up being a super delicious lunch!I got the enchiladas and eggs. It was good but I wouldn't order again. Next time I will order the flat bread or the fried green tomato sandwich. The enchiladas were good, the black beans, but the scrambled eggs just didn't feel in sync. All good on their own.We also shared the Tahitian Vanilla French toast - I worried it would be too sweet/overwhelming vanilla flavor, it was just right. The blackberry stuffed French toast is next on our list.My partner got the Maple Fried Chicken sandwich with the addition of sliced tomato. It was the winning dish at the table. The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful, the fried chicken perfectly crisp.

Customer service really makes a difference and this is one of those places that had great service! The host/waitress was super friendly and kept checking up on us. Another waiter that came out with our food was also helpful and friendly. We sat outdoor in the patio. And stopped by here before taking the train home.Because we were outside, a family was sitting nearby with their dog and it kept barking every time the waiter came out. This is why allowing dogs is not always great (some owners cannot control their dogs). I felt bad for the waiter having to put up with that too (even though the owners claimed the dog is friendly and won't bite. Mhmm).I ordered the fish n chips (2 piece cod cause dang errathang is expensive. Mine was $16 something!) and it was delicious!! The coleslaw was disappointing (i agree with another reviewer, it wasn't that tasty), the fish was amazingly crispy outside and tender inside and no strong fish taste, and the fries were yummy! There are plenty of hot sauces to choose from as well (Tabasco, El Chalupa, and Jalisco) on the table. My husband ordered the clam chowder and it surprisingly has dill in it but tasted different in a good way. I also tried a few bites of his salmon burger and it was delicious!!It's pricey but I would come back because the food was good and service was amazing (and wait for food didn't take long)!
