I placed an online order for myself and my coworkers at 8:13 pm. Once competing the transaction, I noticed the pick up time was set for 9:23 pm, but knew closing was at 9:00 pm. I tried calling a total of 19 times from 8:13-8:51 to verify that my order would be ready. However, I was never able to get through. I got nothing but a busy signal. Anticipating that it would probably be done before closing I started driving towards the store and suddenly received a call at 8:54 pm from an associate stating that they have just received my order and would not be able to complete it because they were closing at 9.First off, I was surprised to see that the associate was calling me from the number I've been trying to call for the past 19 times. I had accidentally missed their initial call at 8:54, but miraculously was able to get through when I redialed after her missed call. When pressed about that, the associate claimed they were having phone issues. I then asked to get my refund, I was told that I would have to go through corporate because I placed the order online. I am still waiting for my refund and this situation occurred on Sunday night. Worst off, I had coworkers who were expecting their food and had their meal time shortened or delayed because I to find another place to order from due to the late notice.I am usually pretty understanding and hate writing reviews, but the lack of professionalism and customer service is extraordinary. Why is it that it took 41 minutes to receive a call from an associate notifying me that they just received my order and that the order will not be completed? (order placed at 8:13 and call received at 8:54). How do you have a business without a proper phone? (I called 19 times without success).

My email to them:For several years my family and I have visited your La Puente Location and we had nothing but outstanding service and delicious food. However this past Monday we visited your Pomona location at 7pm we were rudely greeted and told “to sit down because they were understaffed and weren't expecting that many people” mind you there was no one else waiting to be seated, after we arrived only one other group arrived, and when it was time to be seated they sat them down first. Once we got seated we waited 20 min before we had to get up and call a waiters attention to get our drink order in, we got our menus but not kids menus even though they saw I had 3 children with me. Another 20 minutes pass and we haven't received the chillies or tostadas. We wait patiently for our order and the yaki locos we order which was 3 of them look nothing like usual, the minute I cut into them with my fork the rice inside was white it had no flavor my mother in law could not even eat her food, my food made me throw up and the only thing that my kids enjoyed was your plain kids pizza (Which I ordered 3)that's $7 just for the pizza it doesn't include a side or drink which surprised me because I later saw it on my bill. For those tiny frozen pizzas to cost $7 and not include the side of fries or drink is ridiculous you should definitely show people the kids menu so they know the prices and what to expect. Lastly my mother in law asked for a refill of soda that took over 30 minutes for the waiter to bring back to our table and it only happened after we reminded him for the second time.It would be nice if all your restaurants worked the same way that the La Puente location operates. I live in Moreno Valley and was so excited for the Pomona location because it was closer to my home. However I will not be recommending or returning to your Pomona location. Also the lady bartender looks miserable working there.(End of email)Save your money people go to La Puente location or don't go at all!

Take Ur Seat (Chino Hills)

I found this place on TikTok and the reviews were very high. People raved about the puffy pancakes, and the creme brulee French toast; they also talked highly about the pork belly with rice. We arrived at 8:40am and there was already a wait. They did have you sign up on a wait list which was helpful within 30 minutes the wait list alerted us that we were 1st on the list, I went to check in but was told that we were 1st on the list to be the next person seated so we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for an Open Table. The staff was very friendly and nice and professional. We ordered the cream brulee French toast, the puffy pancakes, pork belly rice bowl, the hot chicken rice bowl and the big 5 which had bacon sausage eggs and fried potatoes. The pancakes are an acquired taste they do not taste anything like a regular pancake. The pancakes were under cooked they were still slightly raw and runny on the inside even though these are a souffle pancake they still should have had a little more sponginess to them. We were super hungry so we basically just scraped the cooked part off the top and left the inside that was more mushy on the plate. The pancakes have a smell to them that is very unique and kind of off putting they were lacking in any type of sweetness somewhat plain and a dough like taste. The cream brulee French toast was pretty good. The pork belly rice bowl was OK the pork belly was cooked nice and crispy everything else lacked a little bit of flavor.Scrambled eggs are terrible they come runny and I dont even believe that they are actually real scrambled eggs I think they are scrambled eggs substitute. My husband did not like the sausage that came on the big 5 plate. The chicken bowel was OK but just average nothing spectacular or special. The coffee we ordered was OK.Overall I would rate this place a 5/10 for service and food presentation. I think its a little hyped up to be honest. The price for everything was a $150.00.

Poor experience. I'm a frequent at the Ruatbegorz in Tustin as it's near my dentist but I decided to try this one as it's near my school. My party ordered nachos with sliced jalapeños on top and the Mexican casserole with no cilantro. The nachos came out with chopped tomatoes on top and when asked why tomatoes instead of jalapeños, another waitress who wasn't ours said tomatoes are originally on the nachos in a bit of a passive aggressive tone; when it does not specify that on the menu online nor do they do that at the Tustin location. The jalapeños were chopped and given on the side. The Mexican casserole came with cilantro all over the inside and was soupy and watery. And we had to grab utensils ourselves. The waitress seemed to write down our order as we spoke and instructed so I don't know what went wrong in translation to execution. The environment did seem busy and I'm not sure if they were understaffed as it was a Friday night but they could communicate that. All said complaints could've been avoided if the order was repeated back. And not a single waitress or staff were apologetic or even said sorry for the messed up orders. I ordered the chicken enchiladas instead of Mexican casseroles once I had tasted the cilantro. Worst customer service and not too friendly. I work in food service at starbucks and understand the industry and things happen but I do feel improvements need to be made at the establishment as I have never had a problem with Rutabegorz before at the Tustin location. I'm not sure if both locations are franchisees so they operate different but this location charges for jalepenos on the side and the Tustin doesn't. Overall poor experience. :(

Fairplex

This was my first year attending the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona since they started having it in late spring. I grew up going every year after the new school year began. The weather was perfect for my trip. The parking was fine. $25 at the gate, $20 if you purchase parking online ahead of time. There is no online parking purchases on the day of your trip. It must be purchased a day or so before. My husband and I went this past Thursday. I checked everything out on their website prior to our visit. I was literally amazed at all of the great deals and special promotions offered at the fair this year. They had a super deal on the price of admission on Thursday. We each got in bringing 5 canned food items. (10 cans altogether.). So, paying for parking was not bad at all. Upon entry we purchased a $5 coupon book with various discounts at multiple food and merchandise vendors. We only bought the coupon book because of the coupon for $5 fair entry on a return visit. Absolutely worth it. We all know the prices of food at the fair are outrageous. I finally realized that visitors are allowed to bring their own food and beverages in. That is very cool. It is also super smart. Of course, it's fun to have a fun snack bought at the fair. But I don't recommend feeding a family of four dinner there. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was exceptionally clean everywhere, there was plenty of non threatening security and event staff throughout. I was impressed with how organized it was. There were good vibes the whole time. My only regret is that I did not attend earlier on, I would have enjoyed going several times to enjoy more of what the fair has to offer. Next year, I will be ahead of the game and plan multiple trips to cover more fairground? Biggest takeaway, pack some delicious food, check for special deals online, and definitely watch the Pig Races.

LemonGrass Bistro

Im very happy a restaurant that offers top quality Vietnamese food opened in the Eastvale/Chino area. This restaurant offers a few dishes that the typical Vietnamese restaurants dont offer such as the Banh Xeo, Banh Beo, Bun Bo Hue and Chicken Curry. My husband ordered the Bun Bo Hue and it was DELICIOUS! We appreciate the fact that they kept the Pork Hock in the soup and they give Sate sauce on the side (if you want to kick it up a notch). I ordered the grilled pork with vermicelli noodles. The pork was cooked to perfection, the egg roll was meaty (it had the meat and noodles) and they offer peanuts on the side (in case of any nut allergies). We also noticed that they offer a different special dish during the week. When we went on Friday, their special soup was Banh Canh, which is a seafood soup with udon noodles. Other specials they have throughout the week is Chicken Curry, Chicken Pho and Hainan Chicken.I will definitely be back for the chicken curry and chicken pho.The staff and the owner at Lemongrass Bistro are the best. The owner, George, comes over to the table to make sure everything is good. The wait staff is very attentive by making sure your drinks are always full and taking away any dirty dishes from the table.Im glad I wont have to be driving 25 miles for good Vietnamese food anymore.

VITA Italian Bar & Grill
3101 W Temple Ave, Pomona, CA 91768, United States
I have frequented this Italian restaurant on several occasions, and while it has its positives, there are some aspects that could use improvement. Overall, the experience has been satisfactory, with decent customer service on less busy days. The restaurant offers a fresh selection of dishes, although there were some issues with the shrimp. On a positive note, the salads I tried were consistently delicious. The establishment boasts a full bar, and the ambiance is enhanced by great music, lighting, and well-spaced tables.Lets start with the customer service. When the restaurant isnt too crowded, the staff generally provides satisfactory service. They are attentive and responsive to customers needs, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, during peak hours, the service can become overwhelmed, resulting in delays and occasional lapses in attention. One of the highlights of this restaurant is its commitment to freshness. The food is generally of good quality and prepared with care. However, there was a notable issue with the shrimp. On more than one occasion, the shrimp had an unusual taste, which was disappointing. It would be beneficial for the kitchen to investigate and address this inconsistency to maintain the overall quality of their seafood dishes. On the bright side, the salads I tried were consistently enjoyable. They were fresh, well-dressed, and provided a delightful balance of flavors. Whether you prefer a simple green salad or a more elaborate option, the restaurant excels in this area. The full bar is a great addition to the dining experience. It offers a wide selection of beverages, from classic cocktails to an extensive wine list, ensuring there is something for everyones taste. This is especially appealing for those looking to pair their meal with a well-crafted drink.Moving on to the ambiance, the restaurant truly shines. The atmosphere is inviting and lively, creating an enjoyable backdrop for a meal. The choice of music enhances the overall experience, adding to the warm and vibrant atmosphere. The lighting is well thought out, neither too bright nor too dim, striking a balance that complements the setting.Additionally, the spacing between tables is worth noting. The restaurant understands the importance of providing adequate personal space, allowing for a comfortable and intimate dining experience. This thoughtful arrangement ensures that customers can enjoy their meals without feeling crowded or disturbed by neighboring tables. In conclusion, this Italian restaurant offers a mixed experience. While the customer service can be hit or miss, especially during busy periods, the fresh food and delicious salads demonstrate their dedication to quality. The shrimp issue is a concern that needs addressing, as it detracts from an otherwise enjoyable culinary experience. On the positive side, the full bar, great atmosphere, music, and well-spaced tables contribute to a pleasant dining environment. With some improvements in certain areas, this restaurant has the potential to become a consistent go-to spot for Italian cuisine enthusiasts.

Tasty Buffet and Grill
12 Rancho Camino Dr #103, Pomona, CA 91766, United States
Well, my family and I went to go to the “grand opening” of Tasty Buffet. We were ready to enjoy the food and the atmosphere together with my pastor and his wife. We entered the buffet paid and got to our table, sat down for a moment. We went out and got our food and came back to sit down to eat. Our daughter hasn't been feeling weak, so she wasn't going to eat there. But, when my wife returned she got a shrimp from my wife's plate. Before she could finish chewing it, one of the ladies (manager) came quickly and yelled across the table that my wife had to pay for a plate for my daughter. ( she could have just walked to the other side of long 8 person table to say something discreetly to her, but she yelled.) Needless to say that drew attention from the tables around us to my wife. I saw that she was feeling embarrassed and super mad at the same time. She told the lady she would go and pay for her. So, I got up before she did and paid for my daughter to eat. My wife went back to the buffet and got my daughter some soup, due to her not feeling well. As my daughter was eating the soup, the same lady came back to the table with a receipt!!! She decided to take it upon HERSELF and charge our card again!!! My wife showed her the receipt from when I paid… she hurried up and left the table!! We will NEVER come back and support this business again. I hope and pray that NO ONE ELSE has to experience this again. Customer service needs to be taught here !!!
