Blue Sky
2028 S Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
This place is located just on the edge of the main downtown strip.Dine-in or take-out. They typically estimate fifteen minutes for take-out to be ready for pick-up and this is generally accurate.Their food is really good - hence the four stars. I highly recommend them for take-out.While the food is totally worth it, I do have to note that their service is bad and I dont recommend eating in.Weve eaten in here twice. Sloppy, inattentive service. After being seated, we had to wait a long time for someone to come take our order. The same guy (possibly the owner) took our order on both occasions and did it purely by memory rather than writing down what we wanted. On the more recent visit (yesterday), this resulted in his nearly forgetting our wonton soup and a Coke, as well as our table receiving chow mein instead of chow fun. The woman who brought the chow mein just about threw it onto the table, announcing Chow mein!, and then hustled away without breaking stride or giving any of us a chance to point out that this wasnt what wed ordered. No one checked in on us during our meal. One of my friends caught the guys attention from across the room to have the chow mein swapped out. Both the chow mein and chow fun wound up on our bill and I got up and took it to the counter for correction, unsure of how long wed need to wait for someone to come back. This saw an incredibly rare instance of me tipping under twenty percent.I have also had an instance of complete failure to answer the phone for over a half-hour (resulting in our ordering pizza, instead) and one instance of being told that our take-out would be ready in a mere ten minutes, then arriving and standing for at least fifteen with an assortment of other folk there to pick up.The restaurant, itself, is okay. The restroom could do with a deep clean and a bit more decor (tile floor and walls make it feel rather like standing in a giant shower), but was within acceptable limits. They have their own parking lot and are easy to spot from the road.In short: great food, disorganized staff.
Panda Express
1700 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING HERE!!My family and I ordered online today, hoping to share a nice meal together and relax for the afternoon. We picked up our food and headed home.Upon arrival, my sister opened her food only to find a bowl half full of rice and a few measly pieces of chicken inside. At first we figured that perhaps they were running out of that specific item and tossed in the few remains and called it a day (understandable if they were busy or in a hurry). However as we continued opening our food boxes, we came to find that not one, not two, but ALL of our plates were the exact same. We were given a scoop of rice and three or four COLD pieces of meat.I ordered beef with broccoli and string bean chicken, however I received broccoli with BROCCOLI (no beef) and “string bean chicken” that consisted of only string beans and 2 pieces of orange chicken that I assume had fallen into the batch. Can you imagine! I did not pay $16+ to get a small scoop of vegetables and the wrong kind of meat. The list goes on and on i.e. no sauce on the teriyaki chicken, no super greens when we ordered them, ridiculously small portions, and cold food.I'm not usually one to complain online about food. I hate to be a Karen, I really do, but this was simply unacceptable and ruined what could have been a nice lunch with the family.I write this as a concerned customer, hoping that Panda Express on Bascom Ave takes note of these things and takes action. As I read through the reviews, I noticed that many others had a similar experience with this particular panda. A shame really :(I hope that this issue is addressed and no one else experiences the same disappointment that we did. Until then, I have the unfortunate task of giving this 1 star.I digress….

Great tasting Asian cuisine. A little disappointed with the price increases - dinged a star for it. To be fair they have avoided price gouging compared to similar other restaurants.
Best Taste Chinese and Sushi Restaurant
2360 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
People who ran the restaurant were very friendly, but I did not care for the food. Its the first time I can ever recall getting lukewarm to cold hot tea. The wor won ton soup was dark like it had a lot of soy sauce based sauce poured in it. There were three very thin slices of BBQ pork that tasted really old and had no other flavor. It had 2 jumbo shrimp and 3 small lumps if something (mushy chicken maybe?). Thats it for protein! No bok choy (there were only a few pieces of Napa type cabbage) no pea pods, just 3 zigzags of carrot and some green onion. Inside the won tons, the filling very dark (more mystery meat). There was also an aftertaste, the kind you get when a restaurant uses a lot of msg. I ordered a combo fried rice to go and it doesnt smell right Im not sure it will be edible.. There wasnt one single piece of protein showing in the rice and I suspect there will be precious few beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp pieces within the rice if I take a chance and eat it later. Not too good for $15 rice. Even mediocre restaurants are capable of making delicious fried rice (Panda Express even makes fried rice with a better aroma).
Sushi Confidential - Campbell
247 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Sushi Confidential has two locations in the South Bay: San Jose and Campbell, both located in California. The location I will review and went to today was at the Downtown Campbell location. The downtown Campbell is located in Campbell, CA where there are a bunch of restaurants and little family owned stores. Right now, Sushi Confidential is doing take-out orders and outdoor dining due to COVID-19 and I saw the staff and the customers handling the protocols pretty good. I got my order pretty quickly and when I got home and ate the sushi, it was so delicious! I ordered 4 of their vegetarian rolls since I am a flexitarian. The first roll I will review is their Anti- Phishing which is with spicy tofu, tempered green beans, topped with ahimi, avocado, unagi sauce, green onions. Ahimi is basically a play on raw tuna but it's not raw tuna, it's tomato but has that ahi tuna feel. To be fair, I thought there was no way tofu can be put into a sushi roll but it turns out they did! I really liked the tofu with the unagi sauce and avocado, I thought it gave the roll a nice freshness. I also liked how the tofu was soft and it actually had flavor that I absolutely enjoyed! I also liked the ahimi which was soft and it did taste like it was raw tuna but it's not! I enjoyed how I can still have that “tuna” taste without eating any fish. I did wish the tofu was a bit spicier. I was expecting it to be slightly more spicy. To be fair, this was actually my favorite roll out of the 4 I got! Highly recommend this roll very much! The second roll I got was their Snitch which is spicy tofu, cucumber, topped with avocado, spicy spy sauce, and sweet potato crisps. This roll was definitely spicer than the first roll which I really liked I thought that this roll had spicer tofu than the Anti-Phishing which I liked very much! I liked the avocado and cucumber so that the roll had some freshness and I like the spicy spy sauce, it complemented the roll very well. I did like the addition of the sweet potato crips, really nice texture element I do wish it was a bit crunchier. Overall, really liked the roll, it had every tasting element you should definitely taste ina sushi roll. The third roll I got was DTF (Down to Fiesta) which is basically an avocado roll topped with fresh pico de gallo, jalapenos, Persian lime & jalapeno olive oil, sesame seeds. This was a really nice, fresh roll and l liked the addition of the other ingredients to help elevate the flavors of the sushi roll. I think a bit of lemon maybe would of helped get another flavor level of the sushi roll because I didn't taste acidity which I think that's what pico de gallo really needs. Either a lemon or lime would of helped the roll out more and tie in the flavors together. I do however really liked the fun fresh flavors they were going for I thought it was thought out!The last roll I got was their Hollaback which has shiitake mushroom, cucumber, topped with avocado, lemon, garlic crisp, soy vinaigrette, and spicy sprouts. I really liked how mild this sushi roll was and all of the vegetables really helped tie the sushi roll together. I did like the lemon on top to give the roll acidity. I thought that was smart so all of the flavor components shined through. I did like the addition to the shiitake mushrooms because those were like the “meat” part of the sushi roll which was super filling. Overall, this sushi roll was delicious and perfect. I don't have anything to say except, this was some great fresh sushi!Overall, I really liked Sushi Confidential and this is definitely a must go spot if your ever in Campbell or San Jose! Their sushi rolls were very fresh and the rice was just right! Don't forget to support local businesses like this one and check out their sushi! It's really delicious and I love the variety of vegetarian/vegan sushi rolls! I wish there was more because I have a feeling their rolls are terrific and definitely I hope they come out with more vegetarian options in the future! Thaibodia Bistro
2200 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
5 stars, but theyre really a combination of 6 stars and 4...Ive long known of this place, but have never gone because of the mixed reviews here and on yelp. I finally tried it, and i LOVE IT. Ive been at least once a week for the covid special since.-their medium is hot. El Camino thaibodia isnt, but this one is. Order 1-2 steps below your typical tolerance the first time and add spice. Buyer beware.- portions are very generous. If i plow through the covid special solo ill easily get 4 meals out of it, and im someone who can effortlessly polish off a Panda 3 entree plate. The portions are extra generous considering the price- it would cost me almost as much to prepare this (worse) in my own kitchen, and ive completely stopped cooking thai as a result.-ingredients have always been fresh and cooked nicely-the cooking has been perfectly consistent (i get the same order somewhat frequently) and excellent. Its not the best thai/cambodian ive ever had, a bit oily or heavy depending on the dish, but thats a matter of taste. Considering that, very happy with their flavor profile. Id be happy with their cooking at any venue and think the old Chef Chaus location undersells them. That place went downhill HARD.-the covid special doesnt include rice. I see it as a benefit cuz making rice takes 0 effort and youre not charged for it. Im sure theyll sell you some._______________________If youre on the fence you owe it to yourself to give them a try. Be skeptical, order mild spice... but you might be missing out on something wonderful. Wish i tried them sooner._______________________Included photo top to bottompad prik king- porkpad thai- tofuChar Karee Kok- chickenMy fave.________________________edit- i hope they keep their specials long term, but even if they dont its still great cooking for a great price.
Kyoto Palace Japanese Steakhouse
1875 S Bascom Ave #2500, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
This was a real mixed bag kind of experience. My partner and I made reservations for 630p. We arrived right on time, but then had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated at a table, and I couldnt understand the delay, as the seats at our table appeared to be available right away. And then we really had to wait. From when we were seated, we waited an additional 35 minutes at our completely filled table before a server came by to get drink and food orders. This was frustrating, as we were getting quite hungry. When the teppanyaki chef did arrive, the food was enjoyable. Our food was cooked properly to our order, and was flavorful. A highlight for me was the chicken fried rice and the sautéed mushrooms. There was slightly too long of a wait between finishing our main course and getting the ice cream dessert.Ambience wise, the biggest issue was the exhaust fans for the teppanyaki grills didnt seem to be clearing the air enough in the dining area, and it was smokier than Ive previously experienced in other teppanyaki restaurants. The decor is dated, but in a way that is sort of endearing to me as a child of the 80s. The interior also felt slightly underlit.Overall, I dont feel my partner and I got a very good value for our meal, and Im disappointed to say we wont be returning here in the future.
Sushirrito
1640 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
The sushirrito at this local kitchen is not on par with the sushirrito in directly owned locations (e.g. Palo Alto). Not only are the rolls about 2/3 of the normal rolls, its overpriced, lower in quality, and not as well made. The protein portion is abysmal, rice hard, seaweed soggy, and tempura drenched in grease. Ive been a couple times hoping that the poor quality was a fluke the previous time, but each time Ive been disappointed. Tried reflecting this with the management but never received a response or saw an improvement. Do yourself a favor and just go to the Palo Alto location!

Roddy contacted me just at the right time in regards to office lunches and I decided to give it a try. I do not regret it! He is super accommodating and responsive. The food is always arriving on time and is hot, presentable, fresh and delicious. I used to order lunch from different vendors and was always stressed out the entire morning thinking about if it will arrive on time or not and also spending hours looking at restaurants website/EZ Caters for interesting options. Thanks Latin Asian Fusion for saving me hours of work per week!
Orange Bowl
186 E Sunnyoaks Ave Suite F, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
This place is great, I went here after taking my dog to the dog park down the street. I walked in and from the start the folks behind the counter were extremely nice. I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki bowl and it came out ready to go in 5 minutes. She also gave a treat on the side for my dog. This was a nice touch. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the veggies(carrots, broccoli, jalapeños, squash, cabbage) were abundant and cooked perfectly. There was also plenty of rice and the amount of sauce was perfect. I know I will be back every time I take my dog to the park and will tell all of my friends about it too.
