Have I mentioned I love to try different foods! Me and my friend was looking to eat at a place that wasn’t a chain type restaurant. And we passed by this one in willow pass, concord on Park n Shop shopping center. The owner actually works there and very nice and attentive. This I would say is Asian Fusion food with exploding tastes. Big food portions (I’m all about that) with the price that you pay. Which was not expensive at all. Their deserts are unique and several options for drinks! Love, loved it!!!

We were really happy with how small the menu was here. It took us 5 minutes to figure out what to eat.Drinks:My wife got the young coconut drink. It was fresh and delicious served in an actual coconut with a cute blue parasol.I got the mango lassi which wasn't too sweet and reminded me of orange juice but mango flavored.Appetizer:We ordered the coconut chicken palatha as our appetizer. The palatha was nice and flaky. The coconut curry was delicious.Entrees:For our entrees we got the lemongrass pork (medium). The snap peas were perfectly crunchy. And the fiery chicken (hot). It was the perfect level to of spicy where it clears your sinuses but without overpowering the taste of the food.Sides:For our sides we got coconut rice. It was perfectly cooked, had a lovely coconut aroma, and was sweet but not too sweet. And biryani rice. It smelled like cinammon and other delightful aromatic spices.Combo Tastes:Both rices on their own tasted delicious but combined was somehow even better. We felt the lemongrass chicken was best on its own and the fiery chicken was best combined with the two rices. One appetizer, one entree, and two bowls of rice is probably enough for two people but we don't eat too much when we go out these days.We brought about half of the entrees and rice home with us for later.TLDR:Get the coconut chicken palatha, fiery chicken (hot), and mix the coconut rice and biryani together.
Naan n Curry

This was my first dine out of the new year. I love food and I love eating out, so this was an important meal. I had at least 2 friends recommend this place to me so my hopes were high. I walked in around 2pm and it was packed. It took the cashier several minutes to acknowledge me, but it was ok because I was still looking at the menu. Turns out this was just the start of his rude behavior. He hurriedly took my order for Lamb Tikka Masala, a side of rice, samosas, and an order of regular and garlic naan. All of the tables were full so he sternley demanded me to go sit in the chair against the wall. The chair was directly behind 2 tables, and I would have been blocking 2 people from getting out of their seats. I decided to sit in the waiting area for to-go orders until a table became available. While I was waiting I could see all of the cooks work their magic with big tubs of spices, giant pots, and no measuring utensils in sight. All ingredients were added with a pinch or a handful. I also had to displeasure to observe the cashier continue to be rude to several other patrons; its not worth going into detail. I changed my order to to-go. I got another dirty look and was told to go sit in the chair again! I replied that I will sit where I please. I think he got the picture. The food was all very good. All of the flavors were exactly as expected and the meat was incredibly tender. The experience with the staff and the ambiance are just as important as the food and they ruined it for me, and that is why they get 3 stars and a blurry picture from my coffee table. The moral of this story is take-out.
Swagat Indian Cuisine

The buffet food was pretty good with everything being hot and fresh as I came at opening. Everything seemed pretty fresh with some of the pieces of tandoori chicken being a bit on the dry side (the white meat was dry), but the curries made up for it with tender meat. The chili chicken had a mix of sweet, sour, and spice, but was let down by the almost soggy feeling of the chicken. It would benefit by being either fried or grilled prior to putting the sauce on just for a better texture. The butter chicken and malai paneer were pretty good. Butter chicken has a distinct flavor of fenugreek. Also the chicken could be cut up smaller to make it easier to eat with naan (some of the pieces are 1 inch by 2 inches). The lamb curry had a lot to desire due to it mostly consisting of bones. The selection was pretty average and not incredibly diverse with few options for vegetarians, but the selections that the did have were quite good with good flavor buffet, but the price is a bit on the higher side for Indian buffets and would be better priced between $15 to $18 rather than the $20 price considering that most of the items are chicken based and you're primarily filling yourself up on naan and rice with curries for flavor.
Panda Express

As a franchise, I used to really like Panda Express. I loved the taste of their food. I quit going to the one in Pleasant Hill for a long time because it felt like the employees there werent trained to work in urgency, especially with long lines. That one always had a line, no matter what time of day you went there. Anyway, I was going to this one off Concord Avenue for a long time until about a month or so ago. They made the teriyaki sauce incorrectly, as it was actually their orange sauce...but you can tell that the cook(s) tried to cover it up. I brought it up to the cashier, and she told me that it happens occassionally. I get it, people make mistakes. I asked her if they were going to change it out and do it right, but she shrugged and said no. Wow. Id hate to think that the store manager for this location thinks its okay to do that. I gave this review on one of their surveys that same day. With that attitude, Im not sure when Ill come back to any Panda Express. Its bad enough that they dont seem to care too much about cross-contamination when their fried rice and chow mein is always right next to their shellfish choices (Im allergic to shellfish, so depending on the location, I cant have the chow mein or the fried rice), but when you have an issue like this, I dont feel too confident eating at their restaurants any more. Frustrated.

I cant even begin to tell you how good the seafood udon was but I will try. I say that when I drink sake & rum its like someone just a gave a great big hug. When I put the salmon in my mouth it was like a very attractive woman pressed her body against mine and gave me the sexy kiss while hugging me. The broth is amazing. I dislike vegetables and never eaten a cucumber in my life. I not only ate the cucumber & carrots & onions but I loved it. Its like the broth makes everything better.I had the hot sake, spicy tuna rolls, sake (salmon) roll. The spicy tuna could have been a little spicier but I think they didnt want it to overpower the taste of the tuna. The udon had salmon, oyster, shrimp, calamari rings, carrots, cucumber and amazing broth. I highly recommend this place. The staff was very friendly and even though busy I never felt neglected. Service was & food was fast.
New Lims Garden

Recently (in past 7 or so DAYS) they got a new or reapired roof. I feel bad for those that were there when the roof leaked on them while they ate at the restaurant, but my fiance and I have had no complaints in the last 12 months. We ordered take out and experienced the leaky roof too. We felt bad that it was happening to them. We werent upset by it, but we, never judge a book by its cover, or by the first few pages. We have never sat in the restaurant, however we are not that couple that wants to eat at a restaurant. All that aside we have always been 100% pleased with our orders. I was even late picking up an order, but they thought they did something wrong and compensated us with a free side of green beans; very well done if I may add. If you want to support your local businesses please give New Lims Garden a try. I placeed an order while I was in Vallejo and coming to town because THEY ARE THAT GOOD! Other places are also very expensive and the food met less than our expectations. NEW LIMS GARDEN is reasonably priced with very satisfyingly good food without the extra heaviness we have experienced else where. Its ready quickly, but if youre not ready when they tell you it will be ready TELL THEM! It is worth it. Today they told me my order would be ready in 15 mins. I told them I was 25 minutes away and asked if they could make the food then. They did, it was hot, fresh, and ready. CONCORD please give them a chance. Previous visitors give them a second chance ? We are loyal to New Lims Garden.

So when my wife and I arrived at this location, the first server was super nice and friendly. The second server usually has no interaction with the person purchasing their food, and all I can say is he was doing his as he should be and placing the food on the plate for the food purchaser. In between the second server and us purchasing our food, Miss Jennifer (the cook/chef, which I also believe is the manager or supervisor because she was the only one wearing a black shirt), asked for what else was needed at the front to refill. The second server responded, I do not recall exactly what he responded they needed, but Miss Jennifer replied back irritated, saying nobody told me about that, then the second server responded back with a yes I did, I told you twice. Miss Jennifer angrily replied back with a long and loud uuuuuggggghhhhh as she walked towards the back of the restaurant. She then walked back to the commercial kitchen area and began to yell at the two servers, and at one point told the both of them if you guys dont want to be here you shouldnt even come to work here. After I had enough of hearing Miss Jennifer talk to the employees like this, I decided to ask her for her name and write this review. Then, my wife and I proceeded to pay for our food with the cash register employee, who was also very nice. From my point of view, Miss Jennifer was wrong to mistreat the servers, and if anyone did not want to be there working, it was her, not the servers. I would love to give the servers and cash register person 5 stars and give Jennifer -5 stars. Nobody should be treating anyone this way. It is a very bad experience for any customer.

I Love Teriyaki & Sushi
1980 Galindo St, Concord, CA 94520, United States
My parents have been coming to this restaurant since my mom was pregnant with me, I am 17 and I've been coming to this place since I was born. Everything about this place is beautifully crafted and made with so much love. I still remember when the were right by the movie theater across the street, my family and I would everyday of the weekend bc of how much we love it. The owners and their daughter are amazing people, the cooks/sushi makers are hardworking and make the most delicious food, served fresh with outstanding flavors, the waiters and waitresses are always nice and welcoming, as well hardworking. The owners are there making sure everything is at place and you feel welcomed, either in the kitchen, working at the cash register or simply making a heart warming environment. My usual order when I go is 1(or 2) candy roll(s), love wings and sometimes I'll go with the kids spicy chicken. All their food is the most delicious and enjoyable food I've ever had. In 2 weeks I am moving across the country and I'm very saddened that these days will be my last ones of eating at my favorite restaurant. Although I will visit, I will miss and wish the very best for I love teriyaki and sushi's business. With all love and respect, thank you to all of those who have/continue to make this place shine like no other. ℹ️ ❤️ ?
