Fortune Cookies Restaurant
18774 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Absolute favorite Asian fusion restaurant. We prefer the fountain valley location. The interior is beautiful with umbrellas hanging from the roof and a relaxing interior. The sushi bar is delicious and you can watch sports and enjoy your drink. The menu was created to be healthy with less salt and gluten-free options.Everyone had a different meal- kung pao chicken, chow mein, spring rolls, hot and sour soup, yum ?The staff is friendly and it’s good fast service.

Mai Thai Restaurant
17938 Magnolia St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
I was craving Asian food and looked up a place in the area close enough for a drive down PCH afterwards. Im really happy that I tried Mai Thai Restaurant for the first time. We ordered the Glass Noodle Salad minus the shrimp and the Pepper Steak with garlic.First off, the glass noodle salad was super tasty! Dont let being a salad fool you this thing packs flavor with zestiness. It reminded me of a Mexican ceviche with all the ingredients coming together. Next, the pepper steak and veggies with garlic noodles all packed with a seasoned flavor of spice. Not too much and not too little. I didnt ask about making it spicier so next time I will see.Happy eats!

Qun Mii Restaurant
16031 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
We were craving bánh bèo! When we crave bánh bèo and have to go out to eat them, that means were lazy! It doesnt mean we can do a better job than the store were going to.Ordered 3 different kinds (from different regions: N, C, & S VN) to share, but they lacked flavor, and the topping (nhân) was extremely skimpy.Died shrimp was used instead of the fresh one, 2 out of the 3 didnt have mung beans. There were more fried/dried/sautéed onions than shrimp, and they didnt even have pork rinds or fat (tóp mỡ).We suppose different regions called for different ingredients, which is okay as long as the 1 main ingredient: shrimps are prepared in an excellent way to satisfy your craving. Sadly, in this case, zero flavors were found. The fish sauce was so watered down that a bit of chili pepper was all that you can taste. Anyone who doesnt make good bánh bèo knows the dipping (fish) sauce would save you. Again, it wasnt the case!Other restaurants charge 1/3 less than this place, we dont mind paying the higher price for good bánh bèo, but we were disappointed, they werent good at all.We hope the comment about drinks below would humor you. For 1 slice of lemon in a cup of water entitled this store charges you $1.95 and calling it a drink is a bit odd to us. Since we were charged for water and a slice of lemon, we asked for a refill just to see how would they handle it. As expected, more water was poured into the same cup without an additional slice of lemon. The $2.95 Coke drink was served with a 12oz Coke can and a disposable cup of ice, which means no refill. We got the message loud and clear! Lol.Good old traditional Vietnamese food made bad just spoiled our day, sssoooooo sad!

The service was poorly expressed upon people struggling with mental illness, homelessness, and poverty. Im a Legal Nurse Investigator providing an eye opening of business poor education on morals, ethical code, state of equality, and diversity.Today the favoritism behavior and presumptuous suspicion from staff against my demeanor reflected that of categorized as homeless (unable to pay/unwanted guest) the outstanding lack of reprimanding from franchise or corporate chainstores regarding training & orientation to staff on:- Mental Health/Co-occurring Disorders Education- Diversity and Culture Sensitivity- Xenocentrism vs. Ethnocentrism- and the Poor Disposition of Professionalism displayed to selected guests- Inability to provide effort on Business Productivity and Ethics- Unhealthy Food Preparation & Presentation- and Disregard for Customer Safety and Preservation of Dignity- Establishment Staff Covert Harassment against me without valuable evidence to convict upon societal judgment as a:- homeless man- as a so-called thief- portrayed as an assailant due to having monotone face, no aggressive tone, look, presentation, or association subjected aggressor.- Publicly Shaming Me upon arriving guests and current guests.- Social Shaming and Antagonizing an individual diagnosed with Mental Illness is the same as a Bully Harassing A Disabled Child.Basically showing favoritism to anyone that is not a tall male, with dark skin, quiet, and that payed for his meal and is not filled with gluttony and greed like her other unlawful guests that never paid a cent. And their windows are infested with flies. Will not ever come here again unless I see training by NAMI, SAMHSA, BHPD, etc.

Panda Express
18011 Newhope St Suite #a, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
I have been eating at this Panda Express for a number of years, and find the staff here helpful and friendly. The problem I had today is the sign that I have posted in my picture. I asked why they aren't giving samples anymore and he, (as expected), blamed it on COVID-19. I told him it didn't make sense that they can't give out samples But they're willing to hand me condiments such as the sweet-and-sour sauce that I asked for. He says it had something to do with people don't want the servers to touch their food. That doesn't make sense. They touch it when you pay for it it's just that they don't want allowed to be for free. To me it seems like a poor attempt to give less customer service and blame it on a disease where there's no evidence that it is transferred through handling food or even human contact. It's an airborne disease carried through coughing sneezing and the such.

Hue Oi Vietnamese Cuisine
16537 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Banh beo is perfectly seasoned and has a pork rind topping. The chilis in the fish sauce was spicy and soo good! Banh not loc was chewy and had big pieces of pork and shrimp. Egg rolls were perfectly cooked and the filling was delish. We ordered bun bo hue and werent disappointed! Its not spicy like I hoped but I really enjoyed it since it was my first meal of the day. Plenty of meat and I left feeling satisfied. I will definitely be coming back. Service was good, you just need to flag them down but thats how it is at most Asian restaurants.

Bonchon Fountain Valley
16177 Brookhurst St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Have been a long time fan of bonchon. We have ordered countless times. The biggest gripe we have is that theyre very inconsistent. When its good, its seasoned just right and of course famously crispy. Truly addictive and mouth watering experience. When theyre slow or catch them on a bad day, we receive the wings in absence of the signature Korean fried chicken crispiness. Rather we experienced overly salty, soggy, and stale wings. The first time we experienced this, we were disappointed but thought wed experienced enough good batches to offset the one time. Then we made a huge order for our out of town family members, and we received another order of salty soy, missing spicy wings, all of which that were soggy and wet. The radish are soggy and not crisp or fresh and neither is the coleslaw. When reaching out to the restaurant, I spoke with Sunny and he offered a small credit for a future doordash order or the other option is for me to drive back to show him proof that they messed up on the missing spicy wings, wait for them to make it and then drive back to serve my family. Disappointingly he just ended up blaming me for picking it up later. I received the doordash text from bonchon stating its ready to pickup at 7:34. I arrived at 7:50 and Sunny admitted he entered 7:54 as picked up. 15 or even 20 minutes doesnt make Korean fried chicken soggy! We have done the same thing with the last few orders and it was still crispy!Take responsibility whenever its due. Credit is not what we wanted as it was important we would be able to feed our guests on time. Driving back to fix just a part of the order that they messed up on is unfair. Not only will we be pushing dinner back at least another hour, but about the rest of our order? The wings tasted just like a rundown KFC, but for several hundred $$$. If youre going to make us drive back on your error, own up to it and fix all that you messed up on. We offered to bring it back so you can taste the sogginess. I did not ask for any refund. We just love your chicken and thats all we wanted.Im so sad! After today, I just feel really bad about todays experience. Torn because I love Bonchon chicken but I dont feel good when I think about how we were treated today when we tried to work it out and to be fair. I hope anyone trying Bonchon for the first time doesnt catch them on an off day like today. I also hope that anyone that runs this place takes my review as something they can improve on. Everyone has an off day...just address it fairly, especially to loyal customers!

Shin-Sen-Gumi Robata & Yakitori - Fountain Valley
18315 Brookhurst St #1, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States
Is delicious. Unlike the main store in Gardena, they dont seem to get many Japanese customers. The location is different, so the way the store is run is different, but you can relax and enjoy Robatayaki where you can have freshly grilled piping hot skewers served directly to you.You can specify the saltiness and sauce flavor for the skewers. If you eat it with the yuzu pepper that is always available, it will give it a spicy kick and it will be delicious. Yuzu pepper goes well with both salty and sauce flavors.---Good taste. It is different from serving compared with a Main Restaurant in Gardena, then there are few Japanese Customers here. Anyway, you can enjoy Just Grilled and Very Hot Skewer Cuisines directly served from Grill then feel Very Comfortable. You can choose Salt Taste or BBQ Sauce Taste, then adding YUZU-KOSHO(Mashed Paste of Chilli, Citrus Skin, and Salt) it is always put on the tables and the counter, taste changes Spicy then more tasty. YUZU-KOSHO matches Salt Taste and BBQ Sauce Taste.
