Katsunori Sushi Restaurant
14073 Main St Suite 109, Hesperia, CA 92345, United States
This was my first time to dine here although my friends had eaten here before. This could be a five star restaurant. The decor was unique and not typical of most Asian restaurants, the menu had so many varieties of sushi and Specialty rolls and the food was delicious. What they are lacking is good service. I ordered a dinner which came with soup and salad. My friends got their order long before I got mine and when mine finally arrived it was Sushi not my soup and salad which I had to ask for. I also had to ask for Wasabi and gari (ginger) which always comes with sushi. They burned my specialty roll so I had to wait even longer to get that and because of that they gave us a very lovely free dessert for which I thank them. They also gave one of my friends a free glass of plum wine. That was good management. While the wait staff is very pleasant, they did not do their jobs well at all. I left a 10% tip as did my friends. Its really a shame as this could have easily become one of my favorite sushi restaurants.
Thai Lotus Restaurant
12027 Hesperia Rd L, Hesperia, CA 92345, United States
First time going to this restaurant because I thought I’d give them a try. I enjoy Thai food so I like to try all of the Thai restaurant in the area. This is the last one of the restaurants in the area I had not tried yet. I was exceedingly disappointed with the food. If you’ve ever seen Gordon Ramsay cook pad Thai for the monks and the Thai chef says “this is not pad thai” that’s pretty much my position on the food I received. Traditional Thai food is about balance. This food was not balanced. Simple dish of Nam Tok Beef (beef salad) was without a doubt the worst I have ever been served. The cilantro was basically whole in the stem, there wasn’t even a imagination of mint in it, maybe someone forgot to buy mint leaves, the toasted rices was so finely ground that the texture of crunch was barely there and to top it off the meat wasn’t bad as in rotten but something was off about it. Just a weird flavor. Next we have the pork satay. In all my years of eating Thai street food, never have I been served peanut sauce with pork skewers. Anyone who has ever had esan/isaan sausage from any of the many vendors that you can find in any of the 77 provinces of Thailand knows there is not peanut sauce. Those skewers come with a bag of cabbage and a handful of Prik Kee Nu (Thai birsdseye chilis). It’s pretty basic cause it need nothing else. Maybe a beer but that’s subjective. I will say the pork satay was better than the nam tok nua but hardly anything to speak about. I was very disappointed that this restaurant did not have Thai chili. I mean that’s a staple in Thai cuisine. If I wanted jalapeños I’d go to a Mexican restaurant. You will never see jalapeños in Thai food but you do here. I had ordered pad krapow to go prior to receiving my food that I was to eat while dining in. Upon tasting the food I should have cancelled the order but I legitimately wanted to give them a thorough try. I was very hungry and I ate most of the food but it was nothing I would want again. When I arrived home with the to go order of pad krapow, I opened up the container to see it covered in jalapeños. I gave up right there and threw it out. In the garbage bin my I can’t remember 15$ goes. Oh well. I have honestly prepared better dishes in my own kitchen and although I’m experienced in the kitchen to a good level, I am not as experienced with preparing Asian cuisine as I am with western food but I have personally made these dishes on my first try better than what I received. And no mango sticky rice was disappointing. It was on the menu but they said they had no mangos in cause it’s out of season. Really? ??♂️ I bet I can find mangos in Thai town.On a positive note, the staff was courteous and polite to me. The staff seemed nice enough and asked me if everything was ok. I did say it was alright. Not good, alright. But thinking of it and getting that pad krapao opened up at home. No…this was not alright. This was not Thai food. This I believe is someone’s interpretation of Thai food or a person who doesn’t want to get authentic ingredients’s Thai food. I saw many positive reviews on google saying this it was great Thai food but I’m sorry, those folks either have very low standards or simply don’t know what good Thai food is. Thailand is known for its culture, its beaches, its wonderful people, and for its food! So when I see Thai food done like this, it really annoys me because it would make someone think Thai food is terrible. I can walk down Sukhumvit soi 11 in Bangkok any day of the week, at anytime of day or night and find food that is 1M times better for a fraction of the cost. In fact, I’ve had better Thai food from Bangkok’s cheapest buffet located outside of Lumphini park, I paid $1.45 USD for the buffet and even at this cost the pad krapow and all the other food I ate there was decent and at least had the proper Thai flavors and chilis. Sorry, I will not be back to this restaurant. I’m actually inspired to open my own Thai restaurant after this so the people can try good Thai food in Victorville.
Panda Express

The food was horrible. The fried rice had no flavor at all. They need to teach all the hispanic people working there how to make Chinese food, or they need to hire actual Asian people to cook. If you want good Chinese food go to Golden chopstix or Golden Gate Chinese Restaurant.
TWOZONE CHICKEN HESPERIA
14380 Main St #101, Hesperia, CA 92345, United States
I discovered this place with my friend a while back and been going back when it just opened and have been going ever since. Me and my friend are born in the Philippines, and we like to talk about food. If we are talking about other food while we are eating food, that means that the food is average to below. For example, eating sushi at a sushi restaurant and talking about burritos means that the sushi is mid. When we ate here dine in for the first time we didnt talk about other food but the food that we were currently eating. This is that good good chicken. For this review, I will start off with Atmosphere, Service, and Food. The atmosphere is very warm and simple. The store is small, though, and the only place to eat is at the window side. I would prefer more napkins for the people that are dining in there and complimentary water. Im not picky with where I eat. The small space reminds me of vendors from the Philippines, so its okay for me. I like the constant playing of K-Pop and snacks for us to purchase. Just having extra napkins and access to water would be nice. Overall all pretty decent atmosphere for me. 8/10Service is okay. They are there when you need them and if you dont see them the bell is there for you to ring. No complaints with the service so far. The wait time of the food is reasonable at best, so no complaints there either. 10/10Food is great depending on what you get. Filipinos love their chicken and have a standard with fried chicken. However, TwoZone chicken is really good. I would say it is up there to my top 5 favorite chicken places. I tried the Half Chicken, Wings, and additonal sides such as Tteokbokki, Fries, and others. Beverage selection is decent at best. Really good stuff, and the portions are decent! I prefer eating spicy, and if you choose the spicy sauce, you really get that spicy kick you are asking for. 10/10If you want to dazzle up your taste buds, TwoZone is the place to go. Awesome atmosphere, decent service, and great food. Definitely a new hidden gem in the area. Only complaints are the lack of napkins and access to water for those who are dining in be prepared to get your hands dirty. Great place overall! ??????
WaBa Grill

Arrived 30 minutes before they closed, the cashier informed me that they ran out of white rice, ok no problem. Ill have brown rice.....while Im ordering she tells me they only have enough brown rice for a couple platesI love the food here, i understand its 30 minutes from closing time and you want to go home.....maybe they really ran out of both types of rice...or maybe they wanted to go home as soon as the bell rings and had already began putting everything away....who knows..either way we wont be coming back to this particular location.......I cant remember the last time we went to eat somewhere and they ran out of two of their main portions.
WaBa Grill

The food tastes like Waba Grill but... They give you a smaller portion of rice than any other Waba Grill and they have the nerve to tell me they only give 2 packets of sauce per bowl and you have to pay $.35 for each one!!! The one on Main Street by the Target doesnt charge extra for packets and you can get as many as you want. As far as atmosphere who wants to smell a strong oder of fabulouso when you walk in instead of food. Take my advice yall and go to the one near Target by the 15fwy!!!!! Edited: Whatever, Im never going there again!!! Charging for Waba sauce or hot sauce packets is like Mc Donalds charging for Ketchup!!! Then the girl working had the nerve to tell me I should buy the bottle of Waba sauce for $8!!! Yeah right!!!! ?
Love Oasis Sushi

Have been going to this place for over 2 years and last weekend we had enough, this new personal has no idea how to treat customers right .This white young waitress on Sundays is just terrible. She had us waiting for over half hour just to mess up our orderWe stop on Sunday to get some rolls to go, we went straight to the counter to place the order and she ignored us completely, it toke her at least 10 minutes to get our order, she said there was a 30 minute wait and we found that awkward since there was no people but we decided to wait, we order a calamari roll and she got us tempura calamaris, she messed up the order and instead of apologizing she said well at least you got the calamaris whats the problem.we asked her to fix the order and she said we were gonna have to wait another half hour since she had other customers already, then we asked her to remake the whole order since all the other rolls would go bad while we were waiting, thats where she lost it and told us we were crazy if we thought she was gonna remake the whole order, then another waitress guy jumped up and told us there was no way they were redoing anythingwe asked to talk to the owner and they said she was not there and they could not do anything about it, we could either take the food the way it was or wait for the other roll, we ended up getting our money back and leaving disappointed at this new employeesGet the old employees back, you just lost a few loyal customers
Panda Express

I love Panda Express, dont get me wrong but this location has some of the most rude employees. I completely understand the stress and hard work of the fast food and service industry, but I dont understand being rude to customers without reason. We ordered our food in the drive thru, they had us pull to the front and they brought it out. We always check out order before leaving because most of the time there is something wrong. One of our plates was in a bowl and was missing the second entree, I went inside and the guy I spoke with said its all in the bag, he was rude, kept interrupting me and the second entree was stuffed into a small box, and the sauce was spilling out all over the bag. I told the same guy I just want it made correctly to avoid such a mess and again rude. They got it fixed but not in a nice way. Then there is also the annoying drive thru speaker process. Anyone who has been there knows they are so pushy. Every time you tell them and item they quickly say WILL THAT COMPLETE YOUR ORDER! after. Every. Item. I know that I speak for all of us when I say, we are more than capable of letting you know when we are done ordering. Panda Express Corporate, you need to send someone over there to watch the day to day and correct a few things.
Young Dim Sum
12209 Hesperia Rd F, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
Update :Finally got round to trying the stir fried beef with rice sticks. Its a passable version of the dish in sgv, Ive had better and I had worse. Given the low low price its a stonking best buy. Xlb soup dumplings was the same as last time, which scored points for consistency, and its the reason why my friend was addicted and insisted to go there. Also the wonton soup improved: the soup has a deeper flavor and it came together better. Id upgrade it from average to above average. Both could stand comparison to some of the specialist joints in sgv, so save the drive downhill for cravings.Im surprised theres dim sum (small snack like dishes) in Victorville, and I wish them every success as this is one measure if our town is boring or not. All dim sum at a jaw droppingly cheap $4,50.I would split the food I tried into three groups: 1) really good and firmly recommended - hakow (shrimp dumplings ), siumai (pork dumplings ), spareribs and chicken paws;2) recommended with slight reservation : charsiu (roast pork ) bun [dough too soft, may need more kneading or less time steaming, filling was great], xlb Shanghai soup dumplings [seasoning slightly bland, but it has flowing juice so nothing wrong with execution ], egg fried rice [slightly enthusiastic on the oil but flavor was good]3) tasted different from dim sum of the same name as those in sgv, recommended to try at the minimal cost of one go-cup coffee, you may like them - wonton soup, beef balls, chives shrimp cake, and dai bao. For example beef balls resemble more Thai style beef balls with tendons, or dai bao was a giant chicken bun and other ingredients thats traditional with dai bao, but in itself theres nothing wrong with that as long as the taste is okay. Except dont go down to sgv and yell at people for infringement of trades descriptions act of 1963. Everyone can defend themselves by saying its how their grandma cook that.Stir fried beef with rice sticks are sold out at 3pm, so its a hot item. Will return to rectify this omission with update. Never say the high desert dont know a good thing when they see one

In-N-Out Burger
17069 Bear Valley Rd, Hesperia, CA 92345, United States
Worked here for almost 10 years and miss it all the time. Its a great bunch of people that work there and I know that Im going to get a great burger and order of fries every time I go.The folks who say they waited 30 or 40 minutes for food are clearly exaggerating. The longest wait time I was working for was about 16 minutes. The patties have not shrunk from how they used to be or anything like that. They are still ground, shaped, and pressed in the same warehouse, with the same equipment, as they have been for decades. The only thing that changed about the fries is what kind of oil theyre cooked in (about 2 or 3 years ago now, from cottonseed to sunflower seed). This change was definitely for the better. I worked fries A LOT, and saw a noticeable difference after the change. As for pink meat, that is always going to be hit or miss, honestly. The meat is different everyday, so you could cook a burger for 5 minutes one day and be well done, and another day itll look like normal (which FYI is medium). It isnt an exact science, so give the cooks a break, no one will ever intentionally set out to give you a raw burger.Ive eaten and worked at more stores than I can count, and this will forever be my favorite one (at least until all my trainees are gone!)
