WaBa Grill

I ordered my food to be ready at 12:15 at 11 so when I arrived I was expecting it to be ready, it wasnt. Someone else who had walked in and ordered as I was waiting there for my food got their food before me so I got up to ask about my food again. It was ready and they just had it sitting there. I ordered 10 dumplings, received no sauce for the dumplings and on top of that 8 of the 10 dumplings were somehow undercooked and burnt at the same time and they were extremely chewy and doughy and just not good. I also ordered a miso soup, just a plain miso soup which is cheaper than the loaded miso soup and was given the loaded miso soup instead. I detest soggy rice and just wanted a plain miso soup so that was also ruined for me. The employees were completely lost in the sauce and did not seem to care about anything. I had given this place another chance after about a 2 month break because the service was always slow when I went. After this experience I will NOT be coming back ever. If youre in the mood for waba grill I urge you to go to flame broiler instead, they NEVER mess up my order and the service is always fast!

Id like to preface this review with saying the food was good, better then some locations. My issue is unfortunately with the gentleman (my receipt says Austin) that took my order. While ordering I specifically said I wanted half fried rice and half chow main. He repeated back half white, half chow main. I corrected him saying no not white, I dont want white. I said fried rice. He verbally made the correction and went on with the order. Upon receiving my food it appeared correct until I took a spoonful of rice and noted that under a sprinkling of fried rice and chow mein was nothing but white rice. I called back, clearly irritated that my order was like this, and the same gentleman answered. Instead of actually offering any assistance or apologize he was snarky and didnt care to hear my complaint. I hung up after a minute of getting no where.

I went to this location a couple of times and their attitude towards me was very disrespectful, when I asked to girl wearing a black shirt her name MIRIA about the portion of the meat she was like thats what it is with a very big attitude instead of finding a solution for my complaint, then when the cashier was gonna charge me he was packing my food on the floor I dont know why, I asking why he was doing it so and then he said Im putting in it in a bag?, I asked him on the floor? Im very disappointed about this place, food I did not even eat it, I dont if he put something to the food when he was packing it on floor because he took like 10 seconds to do it.I would not recommend this place at all.
Flame Broiler

This place is so simple, yet so delicious! They have a great choice in sizes as well. I recently discovered this place, and have been coming back since. I have tried all of their meats and the tofu, which are all cooked to perfection and have great flavor. The organic tofu is firm and has great flavor as well. I feel good after eating here since none of their food is fried. This is a delicious healthier alternative. The food is filling but does not make you have a “food comma”. I recommend adding kimchi and avocado to your order as it definitely completes the meal. Their sauces are so tasty! My favorite ones are the Magic Sauce and the Triple Hot Sauce. I recommend this place to everyone! Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

I read the reviews so I decided to try this local Indio restaurant since we were passing through. It’s a clean, quaint little place and the staff was very friendly. I love that everything is made fresh and from scratch. There are no microwaves on sight! When I looked at the menu is when I realized that this little restaurant, after three years, doesn’t have an identity.Their dishes consisted of Indian, Asian, Italian and American inspired food. It was hard to make a decision that would really help me to understand why they were so highly rated. My father, who would be indecisive with only two items on the menu, settles on the creamy chicken and rice and I got the cheesesteak with a side of creamy rice. The food made it out in about 15 minutes and was served on black disposable plates. The cheesesteak looked like a good size sandwich, but the side of creamy rice looked like white steamed rice. My fathers meal covered most of his small plate and it honestly looked like a dish that my wife makes at home quite often and my father confirmed that it tasted a lot like it too. It was good, but not great. My cheesesteak was also good, but not great. I have definitely had much better. The rice was bland and come to find out creamy rice is only rice that has been cooked in milk instead of water.I honestly wanted to love this place, but the reality was that I just didn’t. It was average and I don’t know if I would go again when passing through. They have a great concept, but they really need to decide what genre of food they are going to focus on to make it great.
Rock Yard
84-245 Indio Springs Pkwy, Indio, CA 92203, United States
Tribute bands are fantastic.Local bands are redundant and frankly, not good.A Tina Turner tribute band would bring some awesome flavor and MUCH NEEDED diversity.***11/1/2021 - Rockyard should improve their small stage band selection. They should have more bands in rotation. They've had the same tired local bands, who play the same tired set list, for the last couple of years. Meh!Paul Ryan is out of touch with the music scene. He doesn't select bands based on talent. It's quite unfair. I saw a band there called The Lifetime Rockers or something like that. Good band. Horrible fit for Rockyard. Also, there are other bands that play the exact same set list every time they perform at Rockyard. He should leave that decision to the person who was hired to do that job. Get some local bands from other cities, counties, states - anywhere- just keep it fresh! As for the tribute bands, most are fantastic. However, please consider adding some diversity. All rock bands/musicians don't look the same. Talented People of Color would like the same opportunities that all the non people of color are routinely getting. Very biased environment. Give others that don't have the same “look” a chance. Tina Turner? Prince? Jimi Hendrix? Chuck Berry? Little Richard? In other words, add some color/flavor.**Update (10/2022) - They have gotten some better local bands. That's a definite improvement! However, it would be great to see some bands, or at least “a” band with People of Color. It's like they disassociate Rock music with People of Color. That's a concern.
Sushi Bento

As an asian who has high standard for sushi. Best sushi i have eaten (tucson/phoenix/La/san diego) and amazing service. Fresh fish and good proportion of rice (not too much like many other sushi restaurants who cater for western market).
Art Alkobar Grill

Locals go nuts over this place, and IMO it was a bit overhyped. I was told to order the Philly Steak with extra cheese, and while it was definitely cheesy, the whole thing just tasted kinda bland. No real extraordinary flavor. I also ordered the Chicken Hawaiian which I thought was also bland.Ordering the large 16” just means two of the regular ones. It's ~$8-10 for the regular sized sandwiches and 2x the amount for the large. There are lots of items on the menu, but the two I chose were average. The place didn't decorate too much on the inside, but the soda is easily accessible to accommodate as many refills as you'd like. There are also restrooms for customers which was nice.I probably won't be returning. That place wasn't worth the price—the food just simply tasted bland but filling.
GRACELAND FIL-ASIAN MARKET
82590 CA-111 STE 203, Indio, CA 92201, United States
I have been shopping at this store for years. I make it a point to support local businesses but I am disappointed. I attempted to visit the store this past Saturday to purchase some specialty items that are specific to a Filipino store. The store was closed with no sign to state why. I visited this store the day before on Friday and no sign posted that they would be closed on Saturday. I asked the nearby restaurant (Alkobar Grill) if they had any information and all they could tell me is that they have inconsistent hours. I called the store today to ask what happened with Saturday and the owner said I dont know. Remember that customers are always first.I will give them another chance but I may have to support the Fil Am Market in Cathedral City instead.
