One of the best and most authentic Asian restaurant in Los Angeles. The staff, food, ambiance.. everything is 5 star.

Really want to give this place 4 or 5 stars based on many of the reviews, but have to be a little honest here. The restaurant itself is great vibes, but food was pretty mediocre. We ordered the egg rolls and the rare steak pho. They only have the veggie egg rolls as an option. I understand this place is probably trying to cater to the vegetarian/vegan market especially being on the west side, which I think is great considering a lot of pho places dont truly have that option. However, think they should still have the traditional egg roll (cha gio) with pork, shrimp, or chicken as an option for those that do eat meat. Overall, the egg rolls werent bad though, but not amazing either.Regarding the pho, it was also okay. I would eat it again if I had to, but probably more for convenience. They served it in a very large bowl with tons of broth, but hardly any onions and cilantro. They also didnt provide a lot of meat. They charge for any extra toppings, when typically it comes with the bowl. The pho has flavor, I just wouldnt say its 100% authentic. With that being said, I do think this place has tons of potential, and its clearly catering to a neighborhood that doesnt have much Asian/Vietnamese/Thai cuisine. As someone who is Vietnamese, I would recommend to the kitchen to make the pho a bit more authentic, theyre close to getting it right!

SUGARFISH by sushi nozawa
4722 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292, United States
So Im a Sushi lover. From the mountains of Hawaii to the Coast of Lebanon to the AYCE of Studio City Sushi Bars. But you know. This place just has that attractive dark side vibe.A late Monday night and the place is busy.I go alone. Bar seat for one please....5 min wait. Good deal.As soon as I am seated I am quickly greeted by a nice young lady who asks if this was my first time. I reply with a Yes and she says Welcome! Let me begin by breaking down the menu. All in all a simple menu. So I go with the Nozawa and a Water with Lemon to drink. The place has enough pictures on Yelp to show everything. The presentation is extremely simple and very consistent with what you see on Yelp. So dont worry. You will get your experience the exact same way.Now. There are people just Lally gaging and talking over a single piece of sushi for 10 min. And then they order again. Some people are doing the same Nozawa experience. The whole thing took about 20 min total. They start with your drink, edemame, and a small disc of Wasabi and ginger.I am not fond of the processed powder style wasabi. I like the real Wasabi. The real fresh grind wasabi. Which sadly they do not carry. I ask for a small side of Sudachi Ponzu. But regretfully to keep the Nozawa experience they do not give any out. I understand. So the sushi rolled out. With about 5 min between. Each presentations.Starting with the Tuna Poke. Good clean fresh. Nice small cuts and well soaked. The Albacore. Salmon were great. I also liked the Toro hand roll.I can go on and on. But the bottom line is. You get great sushi and a nice little worry free dinner. Just sit there and enjoy the time with a friend or a small group of 4 or 6 maybe. The place is definitely not big enough to handle large groups of 8 or more. The end you get a nice bill with gratuity included. So no real need to tip unless you want to give more then 16% that is already added.I had not eaten before going. So I was Huuuuuungry. I left feeling better but not full. So if your a big eater. Grab a small sandwich next door at Mandecino before your clean and easy experience at Sugarfish. An extremely nice once In a lifetime experience for me.But Im a Sushi holic so I crave large quantities of sushi all the time. So back to the slums of Midori Sushi AYCE I go.Ill probably be back one day, With my wife, On a date night since now she is jealous of my little rendezvous. But Im definitely grabbing a small bite to eat first.:)Enjoy!
Sushi Enya Marina Del Rey

Hi there,We visited your restaurant at the Marina Del Ray location on Saturday April 30th, 2019.My husband and I live in Little Tokyo, so we have been to Sushi Enya in our neighbourhood MANY times, for YEARS. We have taken visitors, family, coworkers, friends, and given recommendations to others to visit your facilities since we always had a good experience. Our experience at the Marina Del Rey location was... just terrible. We arrived and were seated immediately, which was nice. However, upon sitting down, we immediately got approached by three different waitresses within two minutes asking about our orders. We hadn't even put our purses and coats away yet. It is very important for wait staff to be able to read the room, and pick up on social cues. As well, any other restaurant I have been to, has only one waiter assigned to your table. It was as if everyone was circling around without any structure. We got asked what we wanted to drink again by three other waitresses. We felt very overwhelmed and immediately felt the disorganization and the lack of structure. We ordered a lot of rolls to share. Upon arrival of them, they were not mentioned as to which roll is which so we had to flag someone down when we ourselves noticed that it looked diffeeent than the description ... and once we had to ask for the name of the roll, we found out that it was indeed not at all what we ordered. The roll was taken off our table without an apology and taken to another table which is a BIG HUGE NO for food safety!!! And common sense and courtesy !Our correct roll arrived with a delay a while later. And when the next three rolls came in, we once again were confused as the ingredients didn't seem familiar. We flagged a waitress down once again and asked for the names of the rolls, to find out that indeed once again, we were given the wrong roll..! It was taken away from us AGAIN, and we had to wait another ten minutes to get the correct roll... and to be very honest, the food left a lot to be desired. It definitely wasn't the fine dining sushi experience we were hoping to have. This is absolutely unacceptable for such a pricey sushi restaurant (or for any other restaurant for that matter). We then were given our bill, with zero appologies or any acknowledgement of the horrible service, and were given an automatic gratuity...so we had to tip very generously on bad service anywyas, with zero choice.A good restaurant, where customers are valued and welcomed, an offering of a discount, a dessert, or atleast an apology, is standard practice when these situations arise. Instead, we had to pay a mandatory gratuity for a non existent service, had to explain to our guests who were visiting all the way from Canada, that sushi and restaurants in LA aren't always this terrible. My friends had traveled all the way from Newfoundland and Toronto to share this weekend with us. We left disappointed, and embarrassed to have taken them to Sushi Enya, and are sad to say that we will not be returning to any of the locations.Wishing you all the best,Dr. Niloufar Mobini

Please don't ever go here! I have never had horrible Indian food until now. If there was a -10 on here, I would give it that rating. The food was so gross that I felt like I wanted to vomit. The people are nice but the food is awful please please please avoid it.The fish curry tasted like tomato sauce from the 99 Cents store --- actually worse. The rice was more flavorful than the Saag paneer and the Dal was tasteless. The only thing that tasted fairly well was the Raita and you can't go wrong with that because it's basically yogurt. The samosa crust was decent but the meat lacked flavor.Perhaps the restaurant caters towards the elderly who live in the area and are need of salt-free, flavorless dietary options like Indian Food at this restaurant.Unfortunately, I might have to go to Cedars Marina after this.#Worst Indian food everUPDATE: The server asked us how was everything and when I shook my head to indicate it wasnt good, she walked away, went to the back/kitchen and never returned. Then I summoned for the manager who was sitting at the table. Mind you, there were no other customers. When we informed how tasteless are food was and how it was making me feel sick, he outwardly refuted the stomach ache and desire to regurgitate that I was feeling. He also confirmed my suspicions about the food catering to his clientele. Then, he began to dictate our spice levels and suggested that he could redo our food by making it medium.Of course I informed him my sister had medium, he transformed into a health expert and began to say how her spice level was spicy and that he could redo her food. When I asked about mine, he said he could make it medium...which was perplexing because we already told him the medium was just as awful as the mild.Overall, he was rude, dismissive, and whisked away our barely touched plates after charging us $54 for yucky Indian food that, with the exception of the samosas, piece of Tandoori chicken and bit of the saag paneer that my starving tween scarfed down, was left for them to throw away.He also said he didnt care about our reviews or what we had to say because he offered to make the food over. Why would we want to suffer all over again...Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if you are in need of true Indian food.BTW, was in the area visiting and went back for Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf around 8 or 9ish. Only two people were there.

Wondering what to do for date night? nonstop sushi is the spot. we came for early dinner at the marina del ray location where we enjoyed the patio and perfect sunny weather with our dog. we ate and left no crumbs.the food: we ordered a signature yummy yellowtail roll, a classic spicy salmon roll, and indulged in the nonstop sushi special. the nonstop special comes with 8 pieces, and we picked halibut (FRESH fish, just got in yesterday) spanish mackerel, yellowtail belly, and salmon belly.i gasped when i put the the yummy yellowtail roll in my mouth. the yellowtail was so fresh and it was a perfect blend of cilantro and ponzu. it was perfect - i didn't even need to add any other condiments to it. the spicy salmon roll was a classic, time-tested recipe. the nonstop special was so delectable - the fish was as smooth as butter.the service: shout out jake! i think he's the owner? he took care of us for the evening. he made sure we were fed and full, including our dog. thank you!

Best asian food you can get for this price! Delicious food, very nice decor. Music could use some work, seems to be top hits of 2006... Still love this place and the pricing is a lot better than some fancier, overpriced restaurants with the same quality food.

Im new to the area and I have been ordering here frequently. I usually get eel and spicy salmon rolls and am happy with the portions, price and quality.Today, however, was the first time I took a bite of the salmon roll and realized it was DEFINITELY spoiled. It tasted and smelled rotten. I called to tell them to throw the salmon out, thinking it was just a one off and hoping for a replacement and an apology, but the owner argued with me incessantly about how I didn't know what spicy salmon tastes like (LOL). I'm sure we ALL know what rotten fish smells like. He then told me he would look up in his system if I had truly ever even been to the restaurant and know what I'm talking about as if I was LYING?!??TAKE PEOPLES HEALTH INTO CONSIDERATION!! If something is spoiled and a customer calls to tell you, YOU SHOULD THROW IT AWAY. The owner refused to and kept arguing with me. I didn't even ask for a refund I wanted to make sure other people don't get sick.P.S. I added a photo of one of my orders because I'm INSULTED that you question my integrity. By the way, i ordered a spicy salmon roll

We walked here on a Saturday evening from our apartment nearby. The location is convenient on the Venice Pier, and we chose to dine in their outdoor area with outdoor heaters. While the outdoor area and overall ambiance were welcoming and attractive, our experience with the service and overall taste of food was lacking. Initially, since we were only one a couple of tables who were seated, the service was excellent. We ordered cocktails and received them quickly, and the bartender was able to meet our customized drink requests. We ordered the Farmers market salad, coastal shrimp pepper fry, glazed baby back pork ribs, Divanis Lamb chops, Bombay fried chicken slider, and chutney set to start. And for dinner, we ordered a sag paneer with tandoori chicken. This was for five people. The appetizers were pretty good except for the farmers market salad. The dinner itself was bland. Nothing overly memorable except for the shrimp and the fried chicken sliders. As more and more people were seated around us, thats when things started going downhill. It took them 15-20 minutes for the second round of cocktails. And at one point, we had to ask for water refills probably three or four times before we actually received them. And it took upwards of 15 minutes to actually get the refills. To add insult to injury, the non-English speaking busboy tried to take our empty water cups along with the empty food plates as we were waiting for the water refills. We decided to skip desert and take our leftover entrees to go.Additionally, every other Indian dish Ive tried from every other restaurant made me want to eat it for lunch the next day. But the leftover entrees we had from Divani gave me the opposite feeling. Its unfortunate because we really wanted to like the place given our love for Indian food, the high ratings, and the proximity to our apartment. This place seems like it needs improvements on the service side and quality of their food.Menu: https://qrcodes.pro/Vf3Fu0#Lunch%20&%20Dinner
