Pho Island Restaurant
3055 S Archibald Ave F, Ontario, CA 91761, United States
I love Pho but the rude experience tonight made it my very last time at this local restaurant. I walked in the girdt late 20s inquired whether call in or not, I proceeded to say no and ask for a menu. She pointed, gesture for my to move out of the way, and quickly greeted the next person before I got a chance to move.Once I figured out what I was to orderI attempted to request my order, I was shut dont saying the Caucasian lady the was bwhind me came 1st which did not occur. She dismissed me and move on to her. I stated that was not the case and she debuted with me. The Caucasian lady stated I could go ahead, but that was not the point. I told her to proceed with her since she deemed her order more important than mine.An older asian gentlemen came from behind the counter to personally take my order (those stars are only b/c of him). Once my order was taking, he gave my order to the rude front order taker.Once she was done taking the Caucasian ladies order, she politely looked around before coming in a conclusion that she has to have me pay for my order. She proceeded to talk to me as if she did nothing f****** wrong and I just left. Its amazing how racism is still alive in this day and age.
Yong Kang Street Noodle and Dumpling House
1 Mills Cir, Ontario, CA 91764, United States
Ordered 2 chicken fried rice ($10 each) and mango smoothie ($5.65 + 0.75 for Boba) First time here. The fried rice were good. You might need some soy sauce and a couple of chilli sauces if you are a spicy person. The mango smoothie was good with boba in it. Not too much sugar. The wait is slightly long. So expect it and have patience. Might come back to see other food choices. It would be good if you clean the crumbs left behind where you ate and go because I didnt see the workers coming and cleaning the dining area. So dont know how it works during this COVID times and their sanitary practices. I dont think its too pricey compared to a $15 Chicken Fried rice from outside Asian Restaurant. Highly recommend this place.
Kosuke ramen
4210 Inland Empire Blvd #D, Ontario, CA 91764, United States
I was excited to see Kosuke Ramen opening up in Ontario, right by the 10 Freeway close to Ontario Mills, but then I read my review for the Alhambra location and remembered feeling a little disappointed after my second visit. Its been several years since that last visit, and seeing all the positive feedback from the Inland Empire area (and the never ending lines at the Alhambra location), I decided to give them another try.Theyre still in their soft opening - although the banner states grand opening soft opening. I suppose theyre working out the kinks. This locations menu is a lot smaller and they dont serve curry or cold noodles; its primarily ramen with some appetizers.Service was not the best. Possibly the workers are fairly new, but it took awhile before we were seated after several workers saw that we were waiting in the doorway. We also had to flag someone to help us take our order after sitting at the table for quite some time. Im also not a fan of their credit card check-out system. They use a portable credit card machine where the worker stands next to you to process the card - you have to complete the tip option with someone looking over your shoulder, which obviously provides a little bit of pressure. Tip option starts at 15% and if you want to input your own amount, its a bit of a hassle. I wanted to calculate the amount myself, but wasnt given the option.Popcorn chicken appetizer - it wasnt bad, and the price is very affordable for $4.95. They offer popcorn chicken as a meat option to ramen, which is different but if youre going to go with the chicken, Id suggest getting it on the side so it doesnt get soggy. We went with a mild spiciness to the chicken, which was pretty spicy. Chicken pieces actually are whole bits of chicken with not too much batter, but the chicken was a little dry in my opinion. My friend enjoyed this though, so I think its a matter of preference.I went with their Kuro Ramen for $9.95. Didnt want to order the same ramen as my friend and wasnt sure if my stomach could handle the fish flavor soup of the tonkotsu shoyu, so this was the best choice. Ive had black sesame oil ramen broth before, and this one was on the lighter side. Came with half an egg, black mushrooms, green onion, ginger, and chashu. Noodles were the yellow ramen, which I dont usually prefer but they were chewy tasted alright. Broth was a miss though. After mixing in the black sesame, felt like the flavor was just so salty. There wasnt any sweetness from the tonkotsu that I craved. Chashu was alright - sliced thinly and didnt taste as great as other more authentic ramen shops. I also got a side of the spicy bamboo for $0.75 - it wasnt spicy at all and added a different flavor to the ramen, which I enjoyed. I do think that the bamboo came from a can though. My friend ordered the Tonkotsu ramen for $9.25 - pretty much the same ingredients as the Kuro except theres no black sesame oil. We both really liked the broth - it was really sweet and flavorful, definitely one of the better parts of the meal that night; however, my friend was not impressed with the chashu - he said there wasnt a clean flavoring to the meat and needed to be cooked a little more. The meat wasnt as rich and tender as other ramen places we enjoy, and seemed to taste more like the Chinese BBQ pork meats - dry and without flavor. Unfortunately he had a hard time downing the bowl of ramen.tl;dr - I hope they expand to offer curry dishes. The ramen was just okay for me (and a miss for my friend). Pricewise though, the dishes are very affordable and you can also add specific items to your ramen for a cheaper price, which I think is pretty great. Dont think Ill be returning anytime soon.
Take Ur Seat Too
4275 Concours St Suite 130, Ontario, CA 91764, United States
So heres the thing, walking out I was fully ready to leave a scathing review. Today was the last day my sister and brother-in-law are in town and we had a full day of activities planned in LA so we decided to stop by Take Ur Seat Too before heading out because the menu looked tasty and unique. We sat down around 9:40, ordered around 9:45, and did not receive a single plate until 10:45, with the last plate coming out at 11:05. My sister and brother-in-law finished their food before I got mine. I think we can all agree that is a ridiculous wait time, especially considering the party that was sat after us was gone and their table cleared by the time we received a single plate. I dont know exactly what went wrong, but I did not see the waitress who took our order again in that time. However, once the staff realized the issue they did their best to make up for the delay. Two meals were comped and the staff was apologetic. I was still mad leaving, because I didnt even end up eating my plate but rather took it to-go to eat in the car in order to attempt to make up for the time we lost. Despite my extreme disappointment in the wait time, I do have to concede that the management handled it appropriately and the food was delicious in the end. I cannot justify rating it lower than a 4 because the food was genuinely good plus I understand that service jobs are difficult and humans make mistakes, when they do their best to make up for their mistakes I really appreciate it. I live close by, so maybe in the future Ill give this place another try. I hope it will be a 5 star review by that time.
WaBa Grill

5030 E 4th St, Ontario, CA 91764my review is for this particular location. I was there about a month ago and gave another tried. The restaurant is never clean, the tables are dirty and nobody walks out to clean it. Also when placing my order for rice bowl of chicken I have to wait for at least 20 minutes or longer, they take such a long time. Also the staff is not very friendly. They dont say hi or anything, they just say your order Okay can you say something like Hello what would you like to order So rude!!!.also, the chicken did not taste good. and this is coming from someone who loves Waba Grill, I visit the ones all over Rancho, and always a good experience. To the manager: please keep the tables clean and talk to your staff to be more friendly to customers, I know they are busy but very rude
WaBa Grill

I called place an order while I was at the UPS Store up the street hoping to have it ready by the time I got there. As soon as the girl answered she immediately said, in a bold tone, can you hold. Not phrased as a question, more like wait. I said okay, no response. I drove down the street through several intersections, entered the Plaza, parked and even went inside the restaurant staring at the employees while I was on hold with them. I mentioned nothing of this to them as I didnt want to be that petty. Then I ordered two chicken bowls, one with avocado. I asked for extra sauce on the side and the guy said it already has some. I said I know but can I get some more and he gave me a Blank Stare, said something under his breath, and I said nevermind.By this point I realized the girl that put me on hold did so and then sat down to have her lunch. I doubt anybody knew I was on hold on the phone. Finally, by the time I got home and sat down to eat with my wife I realized they charged me but they never give me my avocado.I dont know what it is but Waba Grill has good food but terrible service, and this tends to be the case even at other locations, but especially at this one. I only went to avoid something a bit more unhealthy
Panda Express

Visited this location at ontario mills at around 3pm with a friend. the girl who served us our food was so nice however the cashier named evelyn?¿ that checked us out seemed like she had an attitude with us which made me feel kinda awkward. when i did not know if i could pay for my food yet, she said i could go when i was ready but i didn't know i could because it didn't show on the screen to pay for it (like swipe, insert, tap) until she seen me waiting & she went on the register to put it up. i also have another complaint.. the rice seemed like it wasn't good anymore like it was reheated & hard, it had a strange smell to it & i never had that at other panda express; it was not fresh & my noodles were dry & i felt like i couldn't go back to get a new one since the cashier was showing lack of respect so i ate it despite that. they can do better however shout out to the girl that prepared our food for us with patience & enthusiasm!
Bengee Sushi
1953 E 4th St, Ontario, CA 91764, United States
Tonight, my friend and I went to an unassuming looking sushi restaurant. Although the decoration is simple, the atmosphere is warm. Fresh ingredients and a great service menu enhanced our dining experience. On display is a stunning array of delightful sushi dishes, each piece a testament to the chefs dedication to quality. Our unpretentious passion allows us to focus on the culinary journey, savoring the delicious flavors and appreciating the art behind each roll. The attentive service of the staff added to the overall satisfaction and made us feel truly welcome. What these hidden gems may lack in grandeur, they make up for it with genuine hospitality and a commitment to delivering an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this sushi paradise to anyone who appreciates authenticity and a cozy environment as well as the pleasure of eating freshly prepared delicious sushi.
WaBa Grill

All in all the chicken and rice and the flavors were right and good. But customer service was lousy! I ordered a chicken bowl with everything and she in returns asks if I wanted onions and I said yes everything and however you guys do it instead of asking me if that included the vegetables she just assumed I wanted a chicken bowl with brown rice. My orders up I see my plate it doesnt look right I asked doesnt come with vegetables and she says oh you have to say that basically saying that its my fault that I didnt get vegetables cuz I didnt tell her. Sure I should have said veggies instead of everything but as a person that is at the register that has the capability of upselling and ensuring that the customer is ordering exactly what they want seems like a responsibility that she would have. When I was bringing it to her attention that I was disappointed on what I got she had no way of resolving the issue I didnt demand any kind of Correction but there was no willing to try to correct it so I sat down and ate the meal before I left I was going to get unsweetened iced tea from their tea canister its marked unsweetened and the tea was sweet so overall the visit wasnt the greatest Ive been to many other Waba grills and its flawless I asked for a chicken bowl they ask if I want vegetables I say yes! do you want white rice brown rice you know I go to the Tea unsweetened this is the only Waba Grill that Ive ever had problems with.

I came in tonight very excited to try the beyond orange chicken for the first time and they were fully stocked, to my delight. I had come in about a week ago about 10 minutes before closing and they politely informed me that they were out of the beyond chicken. They offered to make me more which was very kind of them but with it being so close to closing time I decided to have a soul and not ask them to make more just for me. Back to tonight, I walk in and there's one man in front of me in line. The service from the staff was extremely polite and quick. I get my beyond orange chicken and spring rolls and head to the register where I watch the man in front of me have every single one of his cards declined. Not judging him for that, in fact I've been there and I feel you dude, but he proceeded to throw a tantrum and talk about how he “had $7,000 on that card” and kept repeatedly asking the poor cashier “why? why?” every time a new card got declined. I honestly felt so bad for the staff and thought they handled the situation with much poise. I was just laughing so hard behind this man in line it was too much. 5 stars you guys are awesome and I can't wait to come back!!!
