White Elephant Asian Kitchen
3843 Richmond St, San Diego, CA 92103, United States
Definitely on my top list of Asian restaurants in San Diego. Nothing but fabulous comments related to the food for a table of ten people. The service was spectacular even though we walked in without a reservation 1 (10 people)Prices are very reasonable also

Saigon Restaurant
4455 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115, United States
Restaurant is in the older part of San Diego on El Cajon Blvd that has Asian stores.Food is hot, portions are large, the pho soup is not skimpy on meat, basil and beansprouts are fresh and plentiful. The spring rolls are large enough that one serving of two rolls is good appetizer for two people. There may be a longer wait time, about 15-20 minutes for food during lunch or dinner so order a nice drink. The womens restroom is rather rundown and there is only one stall.Homeless people were camping outside in the alley beside the restaurant but a wire fence has been built to block access into the parking lot for the restaurant.Prices are about $2 less than buying the same thing in the fancier restaurants in Hillcrest.

Zen Modern Asian Bistro
13510 Sabre Springs Pkwy Ste. 103, San Diego, CA 92128, United States
This place is delicious and love the Asian fusion cuisine. I always get my fix here especially if I dont want to travel all the way to Convoy for the Asian restaurants down there. I did order online and still had to wait 20 minutes inside. I also wouldnt dine inside since it felt a little cramp.

Golden City Restaurant
5375 Kearny Villa Rd, San Diego, CA 92123, United States
*Update below*I hate I had never tried this place before. I think this is my new favorite Chinese food in San Diego. The prices are reasonable with large portions and the schezuan chicken was amazing.Updated 8/31/19:I returned to dine in here at 4pm today for the first time as Ive normally called in a dinner order to stop by and pick up. Today I was welcomed by an empty restaurant with the exception of guests at only one table and two of the staff peeking at us from behind the kitchen counter. The man and woman talked to each other and made gestures between them for a few minutes while we stood there wondering if the restaurant was open as most of the lights were off, this should have been a sign to leave but the man eventually came out and asked how many? and returned to the back. Another few moments passed before the woman came to ask how many in our party and seat us. She seemed awfully annoyed by our presence as if we were interrupting her lunch break and the service was far from cordial as we placed our orders. The situation quickly escalated as she began to bringing out our food with multiple (three) dirty dishes and utensils including crusty dry food and hair on a utensil and she ignored us and continued to try bringing our dishes and other utensils as if nothing happened even after we asked to speak with a manager and told her we wouldnt be eating that. She went back to bring our last dish and started walking towards our table when my wife demanded to see the manager. She was visibly upset with us at this point and set the plate down on another table as she went to go knock on a door towards the back left corner of the restaurant. When the door opened it was completely dark on the other side and an older Asian gentleman came out, from his appearance and state of his attire with crooked pants and loose attempt at tucked in shirt it seemed as though he was sleeping so maybe we were disruptive by showing up to dinner at 4pm. The who man came out to speak with us didnt speak English but fortunately he spoke Spanish so my wife was able to dialogue with him. He repeatedly stated that they make sure everything is clean and up to standards, something about he was sorry we thought the dishes were dirty. The man then said the restaurant gets busy at 5pm which is why they were slacking which is counterintuitive as youd think they would have more time to make sure things are clean if they arent busy. My wife asked if he would eat or feed his children with dirty and hairy utensils as we were served with and he gave us blank stare for a moment before saying no and we didnt have to pay the bill for the food we didnt eat. This was my first time and meal out of the house following a large surgery and its a shame to have spent it this way. I will no longer be returning to Golden City for dine in or take out.

Oi Asian Fusion
1985 National Ave #1133, San Diego, CA 92113, United States
*** Very Impressed ***Modern Asian food restaurant. The food is a good mix of Filipino and Japanese.Food - Very fresh and tasteful! First time seeing the food actually match the pictures! Potions were good. I would have liked the burger to come with fries. Although the burger was $11, it was still very filling. They wereLocation - great location. The area is slowly growing and has a new facelift in the community. The actual restaurant is nice plenty of room. I wasnt a big fan of the chairs, they weigh a ton! Only one bathroom decent.Overall - I would have gave them 5 star if they had a better drink selection (bottle water, can drinks and tea). This place is a for sure must visit and eat! Im surprised it wasnt busy at all.

Hoi Hu Restaurant
4660 El Cajon Blvd Suite 102, San Diego, CA 92115, United States
Good dishes from the central region of Vietnam. They are known for their spicy beef noodles but I still prefer that dish from Mien Trung restaurant. They do have a little more extensive menu which is good for big groups so everyone can pick their favorite. The service is okay but that is for most Asian restaurants.

Ly Heng Restaurant
4451 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92105, United States
The four stars is mainly for the food. I never expect great service when I go to Asian restaurants, I go there for the food. This place is my absolute favorite place for Chinese/Cambodian food in all of San Diego but trust me, it is the longest place Ive waited for food in my life. be prepared to wait a while (around 30-40 min) for your food after you order!!

Maxims Seafood Restaurant
4616 El Cajon Blvd #4426, San Diego, CA 92115, United States
Restaurant service party dish rather then individuals dish... my mistake to think I could take the whole rice dish at one, unless you have big appetizers then there is no problem for youRestaurant have a classic Asian restaurant interior (also they should try to make the restroom brighter). Recommend for family party dine in but not Recommend for business meetings, unless its a party business hospitality showing meetings

Buga Korean BBQ Restaurant
5580 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92117, United States
This Korean restaurant is not located in Convoy street where a lot of Asian restaurants are packed and which is notorious for parking. Buga has plenty of parking spaces and that is my favorite thing. The food is good and the portions are generous. Although this restaurant has a specialty in bbq, there are a lot of other menus too.

Ph Ban Mai Restaurant
8991 Mira Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92126, United States
I was visiting my family in San Diego and they wanted to meet up at Pho Ban Mai in Mira Mesa. We usually go to a different Pho place down the road but, to be honest, I wasn't sure I'd like this place because of the low reviews.I was quite surprised to find I really enjoyed the food here!Pho Ban Mai is nestled within the same plaza where Rite Aid, Boiling Crab and Seafood City are located. It was a little hard to find because the signage wasn't as visible. We were seated quickly but we had about a dozen family members and we were split into separate tables. Note: This restaurant is not made for large groups; however, the staff were accommodating and made it work.Because of the smaller group seating, the orders were placed by table number. For example, there's a QR code which launches their menu and you would place your order from there. It's pretty cool actually. But if you're someone who does not have a smart phone, you'll be ordering the traditional way through a server and, from our experience, the language barrier was a challenge. We ended up placing 3 group orders due to our split tables but we were able to ask to pay on one big check.A few things we ordered from our table:* Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio (Vermicelli with Grilled Pork and Egg Rolls) - This is great for sharing. The dish itself is plentiful and you have your carb, protein, and veggies. This came with an egg roll, which is filling on its own.* Grilled Pork with Broken Rice - This came with a side of pickled veggies and a perfectly rounded scoop of steamed rice. I believe you get the option of fried rice or steamed rice but we opted for the latter. The taste was delicious!* Pho #1 - House Special Noodle Soup - It's just standard that we order the first pho option whenever we go to a Vietnamese restaurant. The broth had a good flavor and it wasn't oily.* Beef Steak Cubes with Fried Rice and Salad - Bo Luc Lac is a family favorite. The beef cubes are always tender and juicy and comes on a sizzling hot plate. It's perfect served over steamed rice. And the nuoc cham (fish sauce) flavors the dish with a sweet and salty umami.Overall, everyone enjoyed the food. Ordering was a little chaotic but we were able to get that settled quickly. I'm glad we gave this place a shot - the ratings are low but I guarantee you, you'd be surprised how good it is here! You won't know til you try it!
