Shanghai Chinese Restaurant
5131 W Walnut Ave, Visalia, CA 93277, United States
The young waitress was nice and helpful. The older asian lady was very rude she was yelling at me when she brought my order to me lol. I thought to myself, I’d be happy if someone was contributing to my payroll? She didn’t seem happy at all. Also, she didn’t put any napkins or utensils inside the bag. And the food tasted alright until I started to crunch on what I thought was walnuts but i was wrong my chow mein was under cooked. Spent 25$ on a few items and was treated unfairly to say the least. Find it sad for people to not have any gratitude for wherever they are, and the elderly asian woman seemed angry for no reason, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Poor lady if i was the problem she could have just refunded me or, told me take my business elsewhere respectfully. 1st time here I’m going to have to wish you guys luck. And definitely would not recommend going here. A bunch of other good looking restaurants in the plaza
Panda Express
558 Grand Ave, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
There was a promotion for the online ordering and it stated if we placed the order the end of that night, the order would be placed. When we placed the order the panda was already closing so it made us place it for the next day, which was fine. We got our order confirmation and everything and even the morning OF got confirmation of our orders sent to us again so we were good to go. We drive all the way to the location and not even a friendly welcome or anything the lady was rude and just started saying they didnt put in our order because theyre not going to honor it so if we wouldve came in yesterday fine but since it is today, its too bad. She was extremely rude and what irritates me is that I came all the way here with an infant which is a hassle, and they couldnt contact us back earlier letting us know that? The order was placed yesterday so they had ALL DAY to let us know, absolutely ridiculous that I wasted our lunch time coming all this way for this rude nonsense. Apparently at the other pandas they WERE honoring it anyways and not being extremely rude about it all. Every time I come to this panda they are rude, and when I go through the drive thru they ALWAYS forget something so I have to make the trip and come back. This was the last straw.UPDATE: we contacted corporate and the promotion is valid until 4 PM TODAY so why is it that this is the only one that is lying about it being only yesterday? Extremely annoyed at this Panda Express, if I wouldve known I wouldve ordered from ANOTHER store. Ridiculous.

Updates-3/24/22. Still MY BEST WABA.Food tastes are great than any other waba places.Chef's food is always steady. Also Server. Her name is Cecilia is very nice and professional about her work.I like to see people who do their work with joy and positivity. Restaurant work is tough. Service work is very stressful (IF U KNOW U KNOW) But she is always same moods with smily customer service. I want to give a huge credits for that.I am proudly say this is my best waba.Hopefully Owners know about this and keep maintained this great place continuously..Best WABA GRILL EVER.CHEF's Cook is really great, and very kind employees. There are many WABA grills, but this is the only my favorite WABA.
Sala Thai Restaurant

Overall: 4.4/5Came here for Sunday lunch right when they opened at noon so we got seated right away for a party of 7. They have QR codes on the table for you to order online if you want but also provided menus in case you want to order with the waitresses. The menu is pretty extensive but since we were a big group, we ordered all different items to share family style. The place started to get crowded by the time we put in our order online and there was a line by the time we left.Roti Canai ($6.95): The roti was flat, flakey, & tasted like a green onion pancake without the green onion. It came with a curry sauce that wasnt too strong since it had a more watery consistency than regular curry. It was good but not worth it. The portion is small too.Golden Tofu ($7.95): The tofu looks pretty normal but the way they fry it kept the tofu soft inside. But the best part of the dish was actually the peanut sauce. It was delicious so you just have to get the tofu coated in it.Crab Fried Rice ($18.95): This fried rice is so good in multiple ways. The first is by itself. The seasoning is light but theres enough taste from the ingredients like the crab and oil that it gives the fried rice just enough flavor. The second way we ate the rice was with the crispy fish and its sauce. The third way was with the duck curry. Both the 2nd and 3rd way give you a depth of umami that just complements the fried rice.Crispy Fish With Sweet Garlic Sauce ($17.95): This is their special dish and a must have! We got two orders for the table since they give huge pieces of fish but small quantity. The fish is really crispy - fried to perfection. The sauce is also amazing. You have to drizzle it on the fish and the fried rice *chefs kissDuck Curry ($16.95): Im really bummed that Thai restaurants dont give rice with curry dishes anymore. We ate this with the crab fried rice instead. The duck was very tender and the curry was packed full of flavors. I didnt think it was salty but my family thought it was a bit. I do think the prices for Thai curry is pretty steep for the small portion size though.Pad Thai With Chicken ($14.95): This is good if you eat it before the crispy fish and duck curry because those dishes are really umami so it will change your palette taste for the pad thai afterwards. The pad Thai is not a specialty here and we had better at other Thai restaurants so you can skip this item.Basil Chicken Entree ($14.95): My brother got this since hes on a strict diet but it was not good. The chicken was kinda bland at the beginning since it hasnt had time to soak up the sauce but after 20 minutes, the chicken was very salty. The bell pepper was a bit undercooked too. Hard pass.
Panda Express

It's saddens me to go to a restaurant in 2023 and still find racial discrimination, went to this panda like always with family. Always excuses, when ask for certain items. When bringing up a complaint the manager straight out argues with you instead of listening to find a solution. Just because I'm not white she is very defensive and confrontational. I've noticed this when other customer order that are Hispanic, Black other she is very short, moves them out quick. When it's a white person she smile and takes her time. Worse god forbid that you need to bring up a double charge cuz she doesn't want to look for a transaction without a receipt. Sorry Panda but u lost my business. The disrespect was sufficient enough to stop going there.
Shalimar Restaurant
3325 Walnut Ave, Fremont, CA 94538, United States
I am really sorry for the 1* review in-spite of having eaten a relatively good meal in Shalimar Restaurant.Shalimar Restaurant is a very basic restaurant where one orders at the counter and food is served at your table. it has pretty ordinary tables, basic plates and cutlery and very attractively priced dishes which spell value for money. They have some sliced onions next to the order counter which is basically on self-service. They also have Masala Tea with disposable cups next the counter on self-service.Our order for Kadhai Chicken along with Naans and Goat Biryani was served at our table within 10 minutes by eager to serve servers. The Kadhai Chicken was very well cooked and spiced to perfection (I agree with other reviewers that the curries are a bit too oily but then that is how Kadhai Chicken needs to be cooked).Though I have eaten better Naans elsewhere - the Naans served out here were not bad and had a character of their own.Starting off with the Goat Biryani - the first few bites and pieces of goat meat was quite delectable but then one big piece of completely dry and burnt meat came up which was simply not edible. Then my wife found a piece of Chicken meat from the confines of the Goat Biryani!Even at this point we were not disappointed with Shalimar Restaurant. Having finished our meal - I decided to wash my hands and started looking for the restroom which was hidden away in the back with its door opposite the kitchen door.As I awaited my turn outside the restroom the door to the kitchen opened giving me a sneak peek into the kitchen. The view is simply unforgettable. It was dirty, filthy, greasy and in a complete mess. Mayhem may be the most appropriate word to describe the kitchen at best. The restroom got vacant - I entered and walked right out!I am hard pressed in comprehending how Shalimar Restaurant has managed to get its operations approved by the City of Fremont?
Mr. Pho California Kitchen - Walnut
505 N Grand Ave Suite G, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
My first time ordering from Mr. Pho. I got the chicken pho and the Saigon sandwich. Heres my verdict:Chicken Pho - Dont get it. This is not chicken pho. The broth doesnt taste like pho, the chicken is shredded, dry and not fresh. You cant just throw chicken broth, noodles and shredded chicken together and call it chicken pho. Chicken pho has to be done right and its not easy. There are restaurants that specializes in chicken pho only. There are very few that can do both beef and chicken. You are misleading your customers by offering this. Many may never have chicken pho before and youve given them a false representation of what many consider a core staple of Vietnamese cuisine.Saigon sandwich - Good but with a caveat. The insides (meat and vegs) is very good. The bread was REALLY chewy. Maybe because I got it to go and the bread was toasted but its been sitting there so thats why its chewy ? At any rate, I took it home, took out the insides, toasted the bread, put back the insides, and everything is good. So maybe only order the sandwich when you are at the restaurant.I should probably come back for the oxtail pho. But $20.00 for a bowl of Pho ??
Bangkok BBQ
374 N Lemon Ave, Walnut, CA 91789, United States
This place is not consistent with there food sometimes the food is good sometimes its awful . So I complained two times about the same thing my rice. I also spoke to the owner, and she brought it upon herself to prepare my food...”it was worst.” I topically would stick to the same order most of the time shrimp fried rice and the orange chicken, now the problem I had with the rice most of the time was it was overly cooked with egg shells, with the orange chicken sometimes the pieces would either be to big or there wouldnt be enough orange sauce leaving the chicken dry.... Mind you that I have been going to this location on and off for years, spending at least $40-$65 each time. One thing I do know is they change off chefs, but either way its not fair to us customers(.) Also If you complain they will refuse your business. Be aware of what Im letting you know about this Bussiness- save your time & $$$.
Panda Express

Check your food before leaving. I ordered 5 plates of teriyaki, and chicken was undercooked. Asked the manager for a refund and Manager stated he could not give me back my money but would give me credit instead. I came back once to use part of my credit. Went back to use the rest of my credit and were denying me the rest of my credit. I showed the manager my receipt (when i used part of my credit) and the receipt for the 5 plates I returned. Manager stated I used all my credit and would not give me my remaining balance ($16.32) whats worse is that manager stated that I had to use all the store credit. The first time I went back (I didnt need to, I only needed 3 plates at the time) I took a photo of that receipt since I did not trust the manager updating the amount pending on his book so I took a photo of the receipt to have as evidence. I will go back later this week to speak with the manager as he was not here (denied my credit over the phone) this franchise lacks professionalism and cannot do something as simple as updating a customers store credit as promised. Make sure if your ever in the same situation as I went through, pop out your cell phone and record as they will change the story to not pay you back. Will update review once I get this matter resolved.
Xin Wang Food Inc

Its super salty. First of all, I made a note about the lack of salt when I placed the order. It was still salty when it came out! I told the waiter, but the waiter said it was my personal problem! I often go to restaurants to eat, and I have never encountered anything really salty, and I have never asked for less salt in other restaurants. Then the waiter said that the soup was already made and could not be changed. Later the landlady said it could be changed. Put a bowl of stock soup. But I communicated with the waiter several times, and the waiter said that it cannot be changed and the soup is ready. I also asked the waiter if I could put less salt in the original soup, but the waiter emphasized that it couldnt be changed. The original soup cannot be changed.........there is no communication at all. Later, the landlady added a big bowl of original soup to me so that it was no longer salty. But why do you keep telling me that the original soup cannot be changed... I am really confused. We communicated for a long time. Too much effort. I keep emphasizing that there is something wrong with my personal taste. There are more people in the store now than when it first opened, so thats it...
