TK Noodle 12
6930 65th St # 131, Sacramento, CA 95823, United States
What happened to this place? We used to come here frequently many years ago when we shopped for Chinese food next door. At that time, the food was higher quality, fresher and service was better. Came in today for lunch and ordered the combination chow mein dish @ $8.50. The restaurant was about half full at the time so it wasnt like the waiters were struggling to keep up with the orders. My dish was a little slow to arrive but it did arrive hot and I am giving it a star here for the large portion size. I didnt order the crispy version of this dish but the noodles around the edges were crispy anyways. I poked around to dig out the noodles hiding under the meat and veges. I was expecting to encounter a stir-fried texture but was disappointed to find them waterlogged and soggy instead. The meat was ok, a little bland but nothing that couldnt be helped along by the various condiments arranged against the wall like sriracha, vinegar, Chinese chili sauce, etc. Biggest disappointment was the shrimp. The thing about shrimp is that it has to be really, really fresh to taste good and that just wasnt the case here. In addition, the proper way to prepare fresh shrimp includes thoroughly removing the black line that runs along one side of every shrimp. That line is the shrimps digestive tract so what you are removing is actually shrimp poop. You can see where I am going here. The few shrimp that were on the plate all tasted yucky and when I found out why, I stopped eating them entirely. The broccoli and other veges were good - crispy and fresh so another star for that but all in all, I will probably pass on TK Noodle in the future.

I mainly came here for their authentic handcraft Xiao Long Bao. They have an open kitchen concept in which you can see them make their delicacies realtime. I ordered their spicy pork Xiao Long Bao. One order comes with 8 handcrafted pieces. They were initially really hot, but cool down fairly fast. They are delicious in my opinion. There is lots of flavor in the meat and the broth. There is a really good balance of meat, dough and broth. They are each a decent size.I was also fortunate to try their Beef Braised Brisket Noodle Soup. The broth has a slight spice to it and although on the saltier side, it is packed with flavor. The meat is abundant and incredibly tender. The noodles are thin and have a pleasant chewy texture. The portions are generous with this soup. The Thai iced tea has good flavor and a fair price. I wish it was creamier though. I have to be back to try their Organic Coconut Dessert.Staff is friendly and fast. The restaurant is quite spacious and clean. They offer dine-in with indoor and outdoor seating, takeout and online orders. They also offer delivery through third party apps. It's located in Crocker Village right in between Great Clips and Nekter Juice Bar. There is plenty is parking available.

Came here after 1 pm because my children 6 & 8 y/o loves the BBQ duck in which its the signature dish of this restaurant. It took about 3 minutes to be seated. We already knew what we wanted to order before sitting which was 2 entree rice dish (BBQ duck & crispy pork). Weve been here multiple times before because of the food. Once we sat down, the waitress rushed off. The restaurant was about 80% full with 2 empty tables. After 10 minutes of sitting, I waved at 1 of 3 waitresses who acknowledged but basically gave the give me a minute signal. A couple was then seated at the window corner. Keep in mind, neither my kids nor I received even water after 15 minutes of waiting. My daughter kept saying, are they coming to take our order? Do you want me to grab a waitress?. Another 5 minutes passed and the couple received their specialty drinks. I hailed down the waitress who had delivered the drinks and told her that I was ready to order, but she took off basically signalling not now. I would have left, but my daughter begged me to stay because she really wanted the BBQ duck. We sat for another 10 minutes while my kids were complaining about how thirsty & hungry they were. Then the couple in the corner received their lunch plates. The waitress then went to the other window table where an older couple was, to ask if they needed anything. That family was nice enough to tell the waitress that we were waiting for a long time and needed to be served. Finally the waitress came to us (30 minutes since being sat down), asked our order. I asked why was the couple who sat down after us was served their drinks and meal, yet our order wasnt even taken. She apologized and said that she forgot about us.I ordered the BBQ duck and to our dismay, she said they just ran out and it would take another 20 minutes. So basically, the people before us got our duck. I just had it! I have 2 kids, both telling me nonstop how hungry and thirsty they are and I have to wait another 20 minutes for the duck? I got up, grabbed my crying kids in toll to the nearest fast food restaurant (Burger King) and fed them within 5 minutes. Ive been here like 8 times and the food here is great, but the service is terrible. This time it was the worst. All the times Ive been there, you have to bring the bill up and pay it or its like a 15 minute wait after youre done. The waitresses are not really organized, almost like who can take whatever customer and no assigned area/tables or at least they dont seem to show whos in charge of what. Ive never been so disappointed in a restaurant as this place. It hits harder when a place makes your kids cry. Its like going to Disneyland, waiting all day in line to meet the princess, just to be told, come back tomorrow. To kids, each passing minute is like 10 minutes to an adult.Service has gone downhill.

I love their Singapore rice noodles. They are so good it is the only thing I ever order. It is listed as a seafood restaurant, but is also Chinese food.

I wanted to like this place but the customer service was lacking and sort of strange & disorganized. They didn't ask whether we wanted outdoor or indoor seating & when we asked for outdoor seating, they were reluctant to seat us, although they had 3 open tables outside. Our waitress ended up saying yes and asked where we would like to sit, giving us an option to choose, & then told us it was reserved. She offered a corner outdoors but never reseated us. Less than 4 minutes later, a different waitress came with plates and utensils, quickly took our orders for drinks, and apparently they disregarded our request to be seated outdoor. We decided it's okay, they seem busy, and accepted our indoor seating arrangement. A few mins later, a different waiter came to us and asked whether we would like any drinks - we told him someone already took our order, but at this point my family and I were super confused about what was going on since we had 3 different waiter come to us in a short amount of time. When it came to ordering food, we asked for the Thai Table which was not offered on their menu but advertised online. They gave us a new menu that had the Thai Table but then told us it's a lot of food and usually suited for 4-6 people. Given that we came for the experience, we went ahead and ordered it, but thought it was strange to receive unsolicited advice about something we asked for? The food itself offered flavor, but I would not order the Pad Thai. I'm not accustomed to the sweet flavor in their Pad Thai. The egg rolls and papaya were good, however the papaya is designed for people who may have never had papaya salad before. The rice was over cooked and burnt, some pieces were hard. We enjoyed some of the food options on the Thai Table, but think it was overpriced for what it is and the meat was dry. The table was wobbly and the chairs were unclean from the guests prior. Overall it was overpriced, customer service is not so great, and I would only come back for friends and family who wants to try it for the first time. There are many Thai restaurants in Sacramento that offers better prices and better food quality. We were there for more than an hour and the “reserved tables” outside had no customers and were completely empty during and after our meal. I think they require a better way to track their reservations and accommodate customers. Did not leave with a good impression about the place.

Wonderful food! We ordered a la carte: pad thai noodles with chicken, Thai fried rice with chicken, yellow curry with chicken, and the stir fried vegetables (no chicken?). For appetizers, we shared egg rolls and spring rolls.Everything was on point! Nothing negative. The fried rice was one of my favorites. Very tasty. Loved it with the yellow curry over it. The yellow curry was coconut milky goodness. No spice, which we looked for the kids. Im sure you can order to the spice you like. The stir fried veggies came in a delicious sauce that went incredibly well over white rice. The pad thai noodles was okay. Not negative, but okay. The peanut sauce did the spring rolls was delicious.Overall, wonderful place to get your Thai food fix. Definitely would come back and recommend.

This is the second time I've come this week and I wish I had come sooner. Delicious food, a super kind staff; and the best chai in town.I've had the cheese naan, chicken mono, chicken saag, and vegetable tikka masala. By myself. No sharing! The tikka is creamy and the vegetables cooked just right. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the tasty spinach had a wonderful texture without being overly greasy, which I often find in other places. The naan was perfectly toasted with a smooth cheesy center. All of this amazing meal was meant to last several day, but I couldn't stop myself from indulging. It's worth it.Now I am back to try the samosas, mixed veg curry, and eggplant. And of course, another cup of chai!Update: the samosa were *chef's kiss* - flavorful, crunchy, and deliciousThe eggplant was smokey perfection (it is puréed, so great for scooping with naan)The veggie curry was just okay. I think it would be better as a chicken dish.Heading back again to try fish pakora, chicken tikka, and tandoori roti.

Came here for dinner while visiting the City and staying at a nearby hotel. You cant easily tell from the outside, but in addition to the small downstairs area, they have a spacious, beautifully-remodeled dining room upstairs. It has a modern, clean feel, and beautiful classical music was playing in the background.I was a little worried the food might be too spicy for our liking, but they accommodated our request for mild, and it was just right. We had hot & sour soup, orange chicken, sweet & sour chicken, Mongolian beef, and veggie fried rice. Everything tasted absolutely delicious! No greasy, overpowering, artificial-tasting sauces that leave me feeling heavy after. My kids loved everything too and kept saying (both during our meal and for hours after) that we must write a 5-star review and go back next time we are in San Francisco. When we arrived at home the next evening, my daughter reminded me several times to write a review :)Our waiter, who we learned also runs the restaurant, was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was modern and clean (which hasnt been our experience with a lot of casual city restaurants). Everything was reasonably priced.Highly recommend and well definitely go back when were in the area.

The orange chicken, beef broccoli, fried rice and chow mein are really delicious. Hands down one of the best orange chicken Ive had in a long time. The beef is very tender in the beef broccoli. The fried rice is tasty and cooked to perfection. And the chow mein has thick noodles that are tasty as well.Everything was on point and the dishes I had were not too salty unlike other Chinese restaurants I have ordered from. You will not be disappointed if youre looking for quick bite with flavor and not too much salt.
