Noodle House Lao Kitchen
1006 N Court St, Visalia, CA 93291, United States
There is no place in Visalia to get better fried rice. One of these days I will find out your secrets Lao Noodle House!! One thing I love about this establishment is their sizes. They have a variety of sizes for every dish, from small to either extra-large or extra-extra-large (I cant quite remember)Let me tell you, an extra-large fried rice will last you a couple days, and its just as good reheated! You can also get amazing soup or pad Thai here, depending on whatever your craving. Dont forget to add on a Thai iced tea and some chicken and rice to make the perfect meal. The staff is so friendly and interactive- the owner and his son are really fun to chat with!Keep in mind they only accept cash payment. As of right now, its only take-out due to COVID, so theyll remind you on the phone that its cash only. Honestly not a big deal for me personally but it is a good thing to remember. For the three years Ive lived in the area, Lao Noodle House has been a regular visit for me, and thats not going to change any time soon!

Awesome good fantastic food and great service. I noticed people coming in were repeat customers and were treated like family. This is now four years later. I was so looking forward on our the drive up from LA to eat here. The service was still great and very friendly... But but the food quality has severely dropped, zero flavor no seasoning on the combos B and C. The Egg Fu Yung was mealy like un cooked dough, very bland horrible taste. The Sweet & Sour Pork was way over cooked hard as a rock and bland. The Fried Chicken Wings were also over cooked and tasteless. The chef has lost all sense of taste and lust for quality. I will never ever return here. I was so disappointed. So I can only give one star on food but I will give five for service.

If you enjoyed my review please hitvthevlije button and consider following me.My buddy and I sell frozen steak, seafood and chicken across Southern California, Nevada and Arizona. Every dive bar and greasy spoon will eventually find their way onto my list.Covid-19 challenges small restaurants and I understand their margins are not that thick in the best of times, I wonder if that wasnt a factor.I ordered two large bowls of Tom Kha Ki soup and had little trouble finding it despite minimal signage to mark the spot. The total for the two bowls was $21.75, which is about what I would expect to pay but the servings were small. I would estimate the servings were about 20 oz. and I would guess each contained about 4 oz of chicken. The soup was outstanding and the broth was spot on, I was left wishing there was much more. Again I understand the economic pressure these small restaurants are under and I wish them the best.

Im not sure how there are good reviews within the last couple of weeks. For starters, the cooks did NOT wash their hands before cooking our food. The cooks were eating/on phone/resting their head down when we walked in so they were clearly on a break. I tasted a small bite of everything, because well im not rude and I did not want to just toss it and leave which i should have since i was eating food that was prepared by someone that didnt wash their hands. No flavor at all and we both got stomach aches. Unfortunately, Id give zero stars if I could. I sure hope they step their game up, because years ago they were one of the best!! Very disappointed.
Zen Asian Diner

Delicious!! We came here at the suggestion of our hotels front desk person and were pleasantly surprised! We ordered orange chicken, which came in perfectly fried bite-sized pieces, all tender and none chewy, as well as the BBQ chowmein which tasted better than it looked (packed with flavor and fresh veggies, noodles the perfect texture), and the fried shrimp (absolutely spot on). The service was excellent and the host/server took several calls throughout our stay which only confirmed how great this place is, definitely popular! The hostess got a call from a completely unreasonable customer and was incredibly professional, kind, and as accommodating as possible the whole time, but the woman still vowed to never return. Honestly, that persons loss because if we lived here, wed be back every weekend, it was just THAT good! Plus, rude people dont deserve such good food and great service! Thank you Zen!
Pho n Seafood

My freind and i went there today and the service was absolutely horrible!!!! the floors were covered in cheerios from previous people sitting there im assuming and the workers were very inattentive. we ordered our food which took a ridiculous amount of time to get to us and they still forgot half of our order while other people were being seated and getting their orders before us. we waited about 35 minutes which is ridiculous for two bowls of pho and some spring rolls. after we had got out order and finally got to eat, one of the workers cleaning and pushing the cart made me scoot my chair a few times just so she could get by.. another worker was serving other people their food and as she rounded the corner she splashed pho on me twice and didnt even bother to clean it up or say sorry. they never checked on us not one time to see if we needed anything and when i asked for a refill on my water she was rude and i had to wait another 5 minutes just for her to bring it back.. in my opinion they need to fire everyone there and get new people. older people who actually know what the hell they are doing and that can work in a professional and timely and sanitary manner.. but as far as the food goes, it was absolutely great.. i wouldnt say it was worth the wait and the horrible service, but it was really good.

Im not a fan of sushi. My 7 yr old daughter Yolie is a regular customer of this place and only has the nicest things to say about the atmosphere, the food, and the people. Joe the owner makes his rounds meeting and greeting and seems to enjoy pulling quarters from her ears. LOL. I have only been here a handful of times but she and her father visit this place upto 1-2 times monthly.I enjoyed a glass or 3 of the PLUM WINE from the bar area. We reserved a private room to celebrate her holy communion with a party total of 20 people. We had a relaxed time as all our needs were catered to by the staff . From 12 noon til 4:30 pm we wandered between the bar area &back out to our seats so we can taste samples of their most popular dishes. It was enjoyable to watch our chef prepare our food in our presence.I can honestly say that in the 5 years that we have been common here NEVER HAVE WE GOTTEN SICK FROM THE FOOD.I say this because there are many sushi bars and high priced steak houses that getting sick after eating there is hit & miss with.

I have been coming here for years and was sad to hear that the restaurant was being sold to another family. Of course I had to come in and give it a try and compare the original Chinese Kitchen to the new Chinese Kitchen. Let me just say that the food was excellent. I ordered chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken and even got to try some of the salt and pepper fish. I did not regret ordering it. The food was fresh, had a lot of flavor, was very reasonable in pricing and was authentic. Best of all is that they give you good sized portions. Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants around. The new owners Kit and Kan were super friendly and very hospitable. Also their staff is great. I got to meet Jeni one of the waitresses there, and she is super friendly and very attentive. I will definitely miss the old Chinese Kitchen, but the new Chinese Kitchen is definitely something unforgettable and I will surely return. I definitely recommend anybody and everybody to give it a try!

I had the worst experience yesterday. It was me and 2 kids who are toddlers and my mom. At first the Asian lady was like dine in or take out i was like dine in and she was lile okay you can sit anywhere you like i was like okay but i waited for my mom and daughter tl come inside the resturant but then the lady like oh you guys can sit in the back i was like uhmm okay.. So we sat in the back and got a high chair. Anyways we sat down andshe asked what we wanted to drink i said pepsi or coke and my mom said water with no ice and i told her water for my little ones . she came back with our beverages and my mom was like i asked for for no ice and then the lady was like oh can you tell yoir kids to be careful with the water so it doesnt spill i looked at her uhmm okay . weird after she came back with our food not even 5 mins she came back because my daugher who was sitting by my mom was banging the back part where she was sitting at . and told her to stop because she can hear it from the front and that she bugging other customers . i looked at her like why are yoi talking to her . talked to me so i ccan tell her to stop. I turned around where there another customer sitting at and told them are we bugging you . they said mo that they understand she was a toddler and they were grandparents as well. I was like oh okay thank you . but for me i felt uncomfortable to eat there i told my mom im not eating here so i went up to the front and told her the lady i wamt 2 boxes . i was so mad my kids didnt even eat . so we ate somewhere else and my kids were hungry . never again im going over there . they need to fix their customer services especially when theirs toddlers around .

First restaurant that takes the cake for worst service ever! Been here a few times now, and everythings always been good. This visit was a little different. Me, my wife and 3 kids arrived and asked for a table. The waitress attempted to sit us at a table, and we told her we prefer a booth. She told us that our food wouldnt fit, and we told her we would make it work. She continued to make comments about how it wouldnt work out, and eventually sat us in the booth. After sitting us, she came back and we ordered 2 sodas. She asked us what other drinks we were gonna order for the kids, and we told her all we wanted for the meantime was the 2 sodas. She returned with the 2 sodas and then began to tell us that only my wife and I could drink from the sodas, they were not for the kids since we didnt order enough drinks.I told her how I was becoming frustrated that I came to eat dinner, and she has given me a hard time from not letting us sit in the booth, to now making a big deal about not being able to share our sodas because everybody needed to order their own! I told her I was really considering leaving because she was making my visit something it shouldnt be, she replied, I dont care! We got up and left. I then asked the cashier if I could speak to the manager/owner...she pointed at the same lady that was being rude. She told us that the lady we were arguing with was the owner. I told the cashier if the owner was giving being rude and giving out that level of service, theres definitely not a fix for my issue.
