Good Americanized chinese food. Much better than Panda at about the same price. Good sized portions and lots of good choices. Ive had almost everything on the lunch menu and have not been disapointed. Dont expect traditional Chinese but not too Americanized. Efficient lunch service, but who goes to a Chinese restaurant for service?!
Best Taste Chinese and Sushi Restaurant
2360 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
I ordered a to-go for Gen Tso, and it was one of the worst I’ve had. I’ve had my fair share of chinese take outs over the years so I know I shouldn’t expect anything to be crispy or anything like that, but this was just bad. The coating was all soggy and the meat tasted old. It was soggy to the point where it tasted as if this was a frozen food heated up in the microwave. And they charged nearly $20! Thought it was pretty ridiculous. When I try a new chinese restaurant, Gen Tso is usually considered the “safety” menu. Boy I was wrong here. Got duped by the stars.
Panda Express
1700 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Flavorless. Got the family feast and the beef broccoli had literally 5 pcs of beef in it. Chow mein had zero flavor, tasted like raw noodles. Honey walnut shrimp was soggy and very dry, hardly any sauce. Usually I love Panda, but this location ? very dissatisfied and for $50? Should have gone to a real chinese restaurant,.

I want to say this might be the best italian food restaurant in bay area, the pesto chicken is the one that I always order for sure every time. it has great pesto which is not oily or salty but perfect, also the chicken is super juicy and tender, the meat quantity is also great! As a Chinese, I love Italian food too!
The Garret of Campbell
1777 S Bascom Ave Unit E, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Growing up in the Bay Area, The Garret was originally located in the Pruneyard.. a very cool pizza place, remembering the huge projector screen, the heavily epoxied wood tables, locking in carved words, names and messages in the wood. Ordering from a huge menu board, with wood button prices.. anyways. Good memories and good times. They went thru a couple owners, and I believe the rent kept going up. IDK, but they closed down. The excitement of them re-opening just down the street.. was just an awesome feeling.I took my family and friends for the first time, it just wasn't the same.Different environment, different pizza.. which is actually why it so much better. We go here every time we want great pizza. Great beer, and great service. They won't yell out Norm (your name), every time you come in.. but they will make you feel welcomed.Small kids arcade..Place can get packed.. seats can be a hit and a miss.Like Sports: Tv's always ready. If you order before you dine in, is a win.Always a 25 to 30min. Wait.Getting it for take out is also eliminates the seating stress.Nice beer selection.Pizza is worth the high cost. Jakes Pizza has got the recipe down.I don't recommend the Chicken.. always over cooked and just tough.. not a good taste. But there is plenty of different options.Open late is a plus.I recommend to add this to your list.
Mendocino Farms
1875 S Bascom Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
This self described “sandwich market” started in LA and now has dozens of restaurants throughout California. They pride themselves on offering locally sourced, healthy ingredients and unique flavor combinations.Their Campbell location has a tiny cramped dining room so most people eat on the covered porch or at one of the handful of patio tables. It was a warm January day so my friend and I decided to have our lunch outside. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Unfortunately, our cashier must have been having a bad day because she wasn't the least bit friendly or welcoming.I was in the mood for a sandwich so I chose the Farm Club. It's a classic club (BLT & turkey) but with the addition of pickled red onions and avocado. It sure tasted fresh but the two slices of Mom's whole wheat bread were so dry that they crumbled in my hands almost immediately. It was the first time I've ever had to eat most of my sandwich with a fork! I was also disappointed that there weren't nearly as many slices of turkey or bacon as shown in the picture. I'll go back but will definitely try something else next time. My friend's Avocado & Quinoa salad was a huge mix of some of the healthiest and most interesting ingredients on the planet. He enjoyed it and said that he would order it again.“Mendo” is a nice spot if you're looking for a fresher and more interesting take on the usual lunch fare. Prices are reasonable and the place is squeaky clean. If you have visitors from anywhere else in the country (or the world), take them here for an authentic and quirky California restaurant experience. Where else can you be greeted by a blue cow!
Orchard City Kitchen
1875 S Bascom Ave #190, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
Fairly crowded and noisy on Saturday night. Lucky we had reservations. Attentive and friendly staff. Food and cocktails were expertly prepared, flavorful, and creative. Portions were on the smaller side since theyre made to be shared. Two of us needed about 5 plates to get full. My favorite was the duck, which was tender and had a subtle smoke flavor. The korean fried chicken was disappointing. Tasted like orange chicken that you can get at any Chinese restaurant. Overall, a good place to go with a group of friends who want to share many plates.
Thai Orchid
866 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008, United States
One thing Thai Orchid does that I wish more thai restaurants do: they actually use gai lan (aka Chinese broccoli), and theyll let you know when they are out. Maybe its just my preference, but I prefer Chinese broccoli because it cooks better than regular stalky broccoli. Their pad see ew has the right amount of char too! You cant go wrong with any of their food, really.
