Noodle Talk
4546 El Camino Real # A6, Los Altos, CA 94022, United States
The two downsides for Noodle Talk are: 1) It took about 12 minutes for the waiter to take my order and that is too long; 2) Noodle Talk chose to play rock music, which is unpleasant to my ears and hardly appropriate for a Chinese restaurant; at least they kept the volume relatively low. With assistance from the waiter, I chose Hunan Style Sauteed Beef, which was quite enjoyable. The beef was good quality, the flavor was tasty, and it was medium spicy, which is perfect for my palate.I am hardly an expert, but the menu seems to be more authentic from China and less Americanized. Whether that is good or bad depends entirely on the customer, of course. The décor is attractive. The is plenty of street-level parking in front of the restaurant or in front of the other nearby businesses. The address is listed as 4546 El Camino, Los Altos. But Noodle Talk does not face El Camino; rather it faces San Antonio.

Chef Chus

It’s American Chinese food: the chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, ginger beef were nothing special, not really fresh, a little too greasy, and I feel like I’ve had this level of quality before at many other American Chinese restaurants even outside California. That’s not a bad thing… but given this place’s reputation as the “best in the area” I am holding it to high standards.

Satura Cakes
200 Main St, Los Altos, CA 94022, United States
For those of you who like Paris Baguette type Asian bakeries you will love Satura. My Korean friends who are fans of Paris Baguette love this place so I gave it a 3 star. I prefer traditional French patisseries so its more of a 1 star for me.We did try 4 different times, just because we live in the area, and are in Los Altos downtown eating several times a week. The last time we tried a fresh Tiramisu (we checked that it was sold out two days before so we knew it was relatively fresh), almond croissant, coffee bun, and some savory items. None of them rang our bells, not worth the calories. The tiramisu looked pretty but was just a lot of dense cream. Almond croissant not flaky but plenty of almond cream. The coffee buns are our favorite of the bunch, since we like Korean mocha bread.Husband was not happy to find that savory items like the ham and cheese croissant, bacon leek scone, had a sweet taste.Beware freshness levels. Long lines dont mean everything is sold out that day. Especially the cookies and cakes are only replaced on certain days when they run out I guess. If you want to be sure, go on an afternoon to see what they are sold out of. Then the next day they are likely to have fresh ones. On a weekday morning for example we got a rancid doughnut. The doughnut wasnt freshly fried, nor was the oil used good quality. It didnt even look good, but we naively assumed everything was freshly baked that morning (it isnt) and we tried it thinking it may taste better than it looked due to all the rave reviews.I also ordered a dino cake (sorry, I had pics but got deleted) for a baby birthday party and everyone loved it. The frosting is light. I am not a fan of strawberry shortcake to begin with, and felt that it wasnt fresh. There was some slight bleeding of the eye decoration. Assuming they assemble them a couple of days before and refrigerate them until pickup. Also, while the concept of animal theme cake is cute, the cake decorating skills could have been better. Its very basic, like a supermarket birthday cake level. I know this is Silicon Valley but for almost a hundred, you would think you could get a perfect cake.

Bevri - Los Altos
325 Main St, Los Altos, CA 94022, United States
Came here twice, first time lunch and second time dinner. The restaurant served unique dishes, and we have tried a variety. It is a bit on the pricy side. We enjoy the quality and the Georgian style. The portion of spare ribs is big and it is tasty. The liver is unique. The dumplings are different from those Chinese style. The cheeseboat is simply delicious. Will come back again.

Whole Foods Market
4800 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022, United States
A fine all-round high end very large grocery market place carrying a multitude selections of food, drinks, snacks, fresh produce, frozen foods, prepared foods and desserts for take home. Home care, personal care, and baby care products. Safer products without all the toxins youll find in commercial cleaning supplies. Dental, hair, and make-up supplies. Supplements of all types, natural health care products. Fresh seafood and meat choice counters. Hot buffet style dishes and soups (before covid interfered.) Pizza counter. Sandwich and burrito counter. Self-fill filtered water station. Excellent dairy and non-dairy choice selections. Gluten - free selections of food, along with the usual choices. Lots of fresh bread and quality commercial bread choices. Organic choices in food along with non-organic. Prices run on the expensive side, although some discounts are given if you are a special member of Amazon. Parking is plentiful. There is handicap and electric car recharge designated parking. Bathrooms are usually well-equipped and handicap accessible. Staff is trained to be very helpful, and to keep the store tidy and clean. There are food store shoppers and delivery service available here. I believe that Amazon ordered items can be picked up from lockers here (?) There had been a casual dining area both indoors and outdoors before covid rules destroyed that. At this point of time, they could and should reinstate the outdoor dining areas, but have chosen not to instead. ? Management please look into that. You have customers that are traveling far by car, bus, hike, and bike that are hungry and would like to eat on spot.

Redwood Grill in Los Altos
680 Fremont Ave, Los Altos, CA 94024, United States
Redwood Grill is my favorite place to go. The staff there makes me feel so welcomed, they already know how we like our food and our favorite drinks. I like to escape with my husband and have our time together. Sometimes to watch a sports game, sometimes to talk about business, or to have a date night. Other times I bring the whole family and even my friends after a PTO meeting. I have celebrated several family events at both locations. This restaurant has become a tradition to me. My favorite dish is the beet salad with a nice grilled salmon on top. My kids love the wings and bacon burger. My favorite drink is called “By the fire” this isn't on the menu but sometimes I get spoiled and they prepare for me. I hope you can enjoy this restaurant as much as we do.

Andronicos Community Markets
690 Fremont Ave, Los Altos, CA 94024, United States
Visited a friend living nearby on Independence Day weekend so dropped by this store to pick up some groceries before going home. Ladies at the checkout were very friendly. Store looks nice. But! I didn't notice until today (7/6) that this bag of blueberry scone - I bought from this store on 7/4 - has an expiration day of 7/4. Even though I've put it in the fridge all this time - it's gone moldy! ? gosh my 3 year old had one this morning without me noticing. Now I feel so worried and guilty. We don't live close to this store so probably won't go there to complain. Posting this review to remind others - even if the store looks fancy, always check the food expiration date yourself before buying!! (Plus, the clams I bought were also not fresh and smelly ?)

Village Court Shopping Center
4546 El Camino Real, Los Altos, CA 94022, United States
This is a surprising little shopping center. We love to visit the Chinese restaurant, as its the most true-to-form Chinese food weve had since our trip to China. The Korean restaurant (Sudam) is great, too. We enjoy the teaspoon tea and drink spot, the Vietnamese restaurant, and the fresh pasta store. I have used the barber shop there, too, with mixed results.Overall, a nice place with ok parking and plenty of good food.

Armadillo Willys Barbecue
1031 N San Antonio Rd, Los Altos, CA 94022, United States
I learned of Armadillo Willy's over 20yrs ago and when I'm in the area, a must.Everything I order is always satisfactory. They had an option of fountain drinks instead of sodas; no longer available. My husband worked in the area (deceased 2009) and sometimes he will surprise me. What a surprise right? Food instead of materialistic things; lol!I love AW!The chicken is seasoned perfectly and juicy. The ribs; moist and flavorful.Ooh, the brisket; its boasting a nice beefy taste and tender chew. It taste like my brother's (has COPD/Dementia now?) and its a rare find. The side orders are great! I don't have any favorites. The cornbread use to be free; understandable? I think its because the city people have learned how to eat BBQ the Texan way; smile!I'm not sure if Armadillo Willy has pound cake (never ordered desserts), but if they do, thats another dish to add to your meal. Mm mm good!Pound cake, potato salad, beans and BBQ combination along with cornbread; wear loose clothing; lol!My opinion, its the best BBQ in Northern California. The prices has risen, as most restaurants, but due to satisfaction and good customer service, its worth it.The meals are succulent treats!Beginning to crave; smile! Too far!I've been to San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and Dublin locations, but Los Altos is my favorite.
