Ocha Classic Restaurant
9071 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
Decent little Thai restaurant at the corner of Nordhoff and Van Nuys in the jewel of the valley, Panorama City. Come check it out! They dont deliver, and parking sucks around there (as do the crosswalks, watch out for hobos and speeding cars) but the interior is nice and quaint, it reminds me of small Chinese restaurants in the North-East to be honest.
Sam Woo Village BBQ
6450 Sepulveda Blvd, Van Nuys, CA 91411, United States
This is actually one of those rare, authentic Chinese restaurants within the valley. The style is pretty much Cantonese cuisine.Ive been here dozens of times, because this is the closest thing to good Chinese food within the range of Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys. Overall, the food here is good. Very tasty and filling. Some of the highlight dishes to try here are dry beef chow fun, grilled salted pork chops, beef & wonton noodle soup, salt and spicy shrimp, BBQ duck, fried rock cod fillet with minced pork, and sauteed spinach. Among others. The meat dishes, like mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, and all, are solid, but not spectacular. Those are something thats better done within Chinese Szechuan style. The Sam Woo locations within Monterrey Park/San Gabriel are a tad better than this location, but even this Van Nuys location is much better than some of those other Americanized Chinese restaurants around. Its definitely worth driving a few miles to get here. The line here is really long, and the wait sometimes up to 45 minutes, but youll be pretty satisfied afterwards
O K Chinese Restaurant

Hole in the wall Chinese restaurant with a limited selection that do not change. However they offer large portions. Sometimes theres a line out through the door, but its quick service. Worh the short wait.

Mediocre Chinese food. Fair prices but local family Chinese restaurants have far superior cuisine. Chis or Wonderful Chinese and Fortune House are all preferred

If I can rate this a negative star I would. The manager is so rude. Twice I've had an issue with the manager never returning here. I placed an order online for the help group school for thanksgiving lunch had to wait 15 mins for my food to be ready on top of me giving them extra time while I parked. Second time I placed another order for the school for their Christmas lunch I called when I was on my way to pick up the food and they said it would be ready for me to just pick it up when I get there unfortunately I get there and the food isn't even cooked I asked to speak to the manager as I was already 5 mins late to pick up the food from the time I had scheduled to pick it up, I told the manager that this is the second time I have this issue that I have to wait for my food to be ready when I order online and her response was “ well we didn't see the order what do you want me to do” i asked her for her name very rude about it the staff there are always nice but that manager is always beyond rude !

We were pleasantly surprised by how great their Chinese food tasted at this place that we didnt know was there until we went to this other restaurant near it. We were so glad to give this place a try. Walnut shrimp was the best. But the rest of our dishes were all very tasty. We are definitely going back to this place. Too bad it is not near our house. We could have ordered delivery from this place if we are closer. At first we didnt think it was a Chinese restaurant because of its name. :-)

I got an order of 2 chow mein and 2 broccoli and beef from uber eats. The food came in and I was extremely disappointed to see just broccoli and an excuse of one piece of beef, especially when I was extremely hungry. I called in to speak with the manager since I order regularly from them, and she told me she can't do anything unless I drive all the way to the store then maybe she can credit me something. I paid double the price just to have it delivered, why would i spend even more money for a mistake she made? All I wanted was a discount on my second order or credit for the entire meal so I can order it again, hopefully with meat this time …The manager then told me to hold on put the phone on the side and attended to a customer, completely ignoring my situation then never picked up the phone. I called back to see what happened and nobody answered me.Definitely wouldn't recommend this place especially after testing their professionalism.!!!

Asia Buffet
8220 Van Nuys Blvd, Panorama City, CA 91402, United States
$17 dinner, not bad. I was here on a Sunday which is all day dinner. Cant say how much and other meals are on other days. Its an Asian Buffet. There is sushi, orange chicken, Korean BBQ, fried rice, tepan yaki (fried noodles with your choice ingredients while you wait, a tip for the cook is considerate), and so on.If youve had a combo plate at some point at it behind the glass Chinese restaurant, then youve had this food. Nothing too exciting, but you can get as full as you wish. I only go when I have a big appetite. I always plan to get my moneys worth, and I usually do. My personal choice is sushi, beef ribs, Chow main and salad. My diet excludes shell fish, so about half of the buffet is off limits. Oh yeah, if your like seafood, like crab legs, muscles, oysters and the such, you might like this place. Popular choices among the other diners. There are American choices the kids might like. Pizza, nuggets and french fries.Nice place for big groups. A large dining room. Clean bathroom. Food is constantly stocked. Bussing the dishes can be slow, but it WAS busy when I was there. Waters are nice, but not really needed much, mostly the drinks and being seated. Drinks are extra. I chose a free glass water. The dessert table looked tasty, but I was strong enough to pass it by, it was hard. Parking can be frustrating. Arm yourself with patience. Nice size lot, but shared with other businesses. I think the address is on Van Nuys Blvd, but the entrance and lot is in the back. Use the driveway from Roscoe or the small street South of it and parallel. Titus? I think... to get to the other alley.
