Ive passed by this place whenever I stay at Anaheim Majestic Garden. Ive always wanted to try it, but for a while, they didnt do take out orders. The inside is nice and very clean and simple. Like in a minimalistic way, if that makes sense. When I had gone, they were packed. People who worked there would still turn and greet you as you walk in.As busy as they were, they apologized for making you wait. The staff was super nice and thorough. They double-checked my order when I placed it, and they triple checked it when packing it up and made sure I had all the sauces and silverware that I would need.I had ordered:1. California roll - fresh and tasty2. Double shrimp tempura roll - The shrimp tempura was tasty and the crunchy cucumber was a good balance with the eel sauce. It wasnt overly drenched in sauce but just the right amount that all the components complimented each other and you didnt get sick of the taste.3. Shrimp tempura with vegetables- Pretty much what you works expect at any Japanese restaurant. It wasnt soggy or drenched in oil. It was crispy, and they had different vegetables than Im used to, such as bell pepper, asparagus, or a leaf.4.. Chicken karaage - Crunchy and flavorful. You really didnt need the dipping sauce they provided, but I like to dip it and dip the excess sauce on my rice.5. Hibachi beef- Cooked perfectly medium and was tender and oh so juicy.Overall, everything we had was amazing amd exceeded our expectations. I definitely, cant wait to come back here soon.

Our favorite nearby Japanese restaurant. Good food.

This is our go to Sushi place now since social distancing started. Of the many many times weve gone here, theyve always prepared well made Sushi and excellent quality for the price. Is it the best sushi restaurant ever? No. But we cant shell out $200+ every week or so for that kind of sushi. But for around $50, you can get a pretty decent meal for 2 at this place with really good quality for the price. We used to go to Sai in Yorba Linda but the last few times we went, they changed their portion sizes and didnt enforce social distancing for their patrons or even at the bar right next to where they were preparing the food.Weve had no such experience here. In this area, if you can get quality sushi for a decent price, thats a steal. The last time I went, I noticed the mood of the staff was a bit somber and the chef seemed despondent. I really hope it doesnt mean theyre suffering from lack of patrons. I hope the community continues to support them so they continue to stay in business.I highly recommend their vegetable tempura and rainbow roll!

Ok. This is my first time eating from here and my order was a take out. I had been craving hibachi style seafood and was a bit on the fence about shrimp vs lobster. I went with lobster. My order came with lobster, fried rice which had egg and green onions in it as well as a side of veggies that included broccoli, mushrooms and zucchini. I requested well done veggies and they were cooked as ordered. However, the veggies were slightly dry. No butter or oil. Only the parts with sauce had the best texture. However, the sauce was just, a thick teriyaki sauce, so it was just sweet with no depth of flavor, unlike my usual hibachi. The lobster was cooked well and chopped, tossed in sauce and presented in shell. However, again; just thick teriyaki sweet sauce. The meal comes with 2 tails but only one tail shell was on my plate. However, being familiar with the amount of meat that comes in a tail, I do believe they cooked both and put the meat of both in one shell for plating. The lobster was cooked very well and tender, however, the sweet took over and had no depth in flavor. The rice however was perfect! It did not need extra sauce though a lot of it got on my rice anyway from what was on the other food. The portion size was good but my my lobster hibachi was still 30.00 after tax but i think for shrimp its only 20.00 for the meal. It is a small diner place with very little traffic so I was happy to be able to get in and out with no hassle. My suggestions would be to NOT oversaturate food in thick teriyaki but balance flavors between a good quality soy sauce, teriyaki and season like they do at Ichiban or Nagoya. Also the veggies should be appealing to the eyes and not dry looking.. For the take away: No thick sugar sauce but a well balanced savory of sweet salty and acidity. No dry veggies, a little butter helps everything. Add a soup side like clear with mushrooms. A fortune cookie and chopsticks would be nice for takeout orders also . My kids love attempts at using them. I think I will order there again but I will be specific about how I want my food cooked next time bc i do believe they will pepare it the way you ask. I would still recommend them.

Honestly the worst possible experience ive ever had at a restaurant, ive never eaten anywhere where i couldnt even tolerate eating more than one bite but i guess i finally found a place that did that to me. if you want the saltiest most sodium filled food then come here because you are just going to get a mouth full of salt and seasoning. kobe beef is such good quality meat but they decided it needs to be covered head to toe with salt to the point where it was crunchy. i asked for karage with just rice and nothing else and they gave me karage soaked with the saltiest dressing ive ever had PLUS tons of mayo and TONS of green onions and TONSSS of cabbage. my friend got cheese balls but they were still undercooked on the inside and a chicken plate with yakitori and the chicken was undercooked as well. i was just so disappointed and sad and it was such a waste of money. i cant believe theres so many good reviews for this place when we had such an awful experience
House of Shabu Shabu II
605 N Euclid St, Anaheim, CA 92801, United States
As a long time regular of House of Shabu Shabu Irvine for five years, I can definitely say this location is just as good, if not better. Also, so glad this place is closer to me and I dont have to drive thirty minutes anymore for the Irvine location.Heres the breakdownInside: They have a nice, modern, and trendy feel to it, no old timely feel. They have many seating options from the side with two-seaters, the front accommodating up to four people, the back for the bigger crowds and the bar giving it a more authentic Japanese shabu feel.Service: I honestly would recommend dining with Alex and Andrew because even though it was the manager that took care of us, they still came to check up on us. Alex made sure we had everything we needed and was very nice and down to earth.Food: This place has my favorite dipping sauces ponzu and goma. I have yet to find a place that beats out their sauces AND they make it in house. Ponzu is your perfect light sweet and tangy soy sauce perfect for your veggies and meat, while goma has a nice thick nutty flavor perfect for your meats. The Kobe here I would have to say is so tender and soft. It pretty much melts in your mouth and the pork loin has the perfect amount of flavor and juiciness. As far as in sushi, salmon and shabu sushi all the way mannn. I also really love how they have so much more sushi options at this location, because honestly, if I wanted to get a sushi fix here, I would.Price: Pricing wise, I have yet to find a place thats cheaper here. Cmon $13 lunch special ayce?? For shabu??? And you sushi??? Where can you find a better place that has a wide broth selection and meat. For this visit, me and my friend decided to order the special 3 menu which is their premium menu for $30 and its so worth!!This place would also be a good place for larger crowds, but I would definitely call ahead and make sure they can accommodate. They have a pretty ample selection of beers and wines, so youll definitely find one thats for you.Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family and would come again.
Ramen Hajime Anaheim
2717 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801, United States
It was a perfect day for ramen, raining outside and Ive been slowly trying all of the ramen restaurants in Orange County, So, naturally I was excited to find one a short drive away. Even more exciting was that they offered a few different bowls and one of my favorites, Tonkotsu.I ordered the Tonkotsu ramen with extra menma, corn and a small chasyu don (pork bowl)The chasyu pork bowl was served with what looked like kale and some imitation crab. Good flavor but the pork had an incredibly thick layer of fat on it that I just couldnt chew through. I ended up removing that entire layer and eating the rest of the bowl. +1 for the chasyu bowl.On to my favorite type of ramen, Tonkotsu ramen. Judging by the photos and even the one in my review, I really felt like I was in for some good ramen. It was a late lunch (around 2PM) and I was starving by the time I got here so when I saw and smelled this bowl in front of me I was stoked. Finally, a ramen joint near the house that was worth my money. Unfortunately, the tonkotsu broth didnt hold up. It was on the lighter side of many ramen shops Ive been to and while the flavor was good, I wouldnt order this if youre looking for that rich, milky, fatty broth like Santouka, Umenoya, Mendoki or Tsujita Annex.Tonkotsu ramen is typically rich, full-bodied and it really coats your mouth because of all of that dissolved fat. Many ramen restaurants will boil their broth with bones for two days and change. Its what gives the broth its characteristic milky look when done right. Many ramen joints will add pork back fat for even more richness.Ill probably try them again for one of their other bowls. I enjoy ramen but Tonkotsu holds a special place in my (pork back fat clogged) heart. Looking forward to a different bowl to try here next time!
Teddys Cafe (TERIYAKI, BURGER & SUSHI)
2401 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801, United States
Food is fantastic. Staff is fantastic. They even accommodate my. Service dog eating his little chicken rice bowl, they eagerly offered to remove everything (including sauce) for him just to have meat and rice. And they didnt mind him eating inside underneath the table at my feet. Keep in mind my dog is 140 lb American Staffordshire. And they were more then accommodating to my husband, Odin and I. The woman who took my order was 100% patient and answered all of my irrelevant questions I kept asking, trying to delay until my husband came back to ordered what he wanted. The food is still the best sushi, by far, that I have had since moving down in this area from San Diego 7 years ago.And one of the most admirable traits of this restaurant, I had washed my hands in their restroom and left my wedding ring sitting on the sink and left to go meet my husband outside. I ran back in after realizing it was gone and it still remained there untouched with the woman who took my order politely returning it.I was stunned for not only it being returned, but never in danger to be taken.Love the fact that it is EBT friendly too. Their wagyu burgers vs fresh sushi are some of the best quality you can find. I recommend it and boast about this little hidden gem to everyone. Thank you for your great dining experiences.❤️? The Hightowers.
