Sato Japanese Cuisine
3015 Hopyard Rd STE K, Pleasanton, CA 94588, United States
Folks, you should go to this Japanese restaurant, this is an authentic one, the best Japanese restaurant I went in the Bay Area and the price was very reasonable. There are probably more than 10 or 20 Japanese restaurant in Pleasanton, this is the best one although I have been to only 3 of them; the other two 4+ star restaurants were not even close. The food (Sashimi) and even noodle soup are well prepared and tastes excellent. I am a very picky person and dont give 5 starts easily. When I saw an Asian lady sitting next to us ordered 3 dishes for herself to enjoy, I knew the food was good. Definitely will go there again, even driving from Sunnyvale or anytime passing by Pleasanton!
Kaki Sushi Restaurant

Decent ambiance, found it a little dark. The food was pretty good quality and sufficient, but it didnt blow me away. A good old standard Japanese restaurant.
Kimono Japanese Restaurant

My first time visiting and found Kimono Japanese Restaurant. Beautiful entry-very large, clean fish tank.I ordered the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. I also had chicken fried rice and a dragon roll. The food was delicious! I also had one of their signature cocktails strawberry sake tini. Was perfectly made...i had to order another.I received excellent service. I felt very welcomed and very well taken care of...I will definately return when I am in the area and invite friends..

Ume Sushi Japanese Restaurant
Signature Center, 4855 Hopyard Rd # 6, Pleasanton, CA 94588, United States
With great delight, I have eaten lunch here, dozens of times. Their menu has beauty and diversity, including all the usual sushi you find at a japanese restaurant and some new dishes as well. The excellent service and tasty meals keep me coming back, over and over.
KoKoLo Donburi & Bar
2705 Stoneridge Dr Unit C, Pleasanton, CA 94588, United States
Went it based on the reviews. The place is not meeting even low expectations. Ordering was quick and staff were friendly. We got our buzzer and started waiting for a table to free up. Once people left, we moved to the table and waited for staff to clean it up. After a few minutes I pulled out napkins and cleaned it because no one seemed to care to come out and do it. After the buzzer went off, we came to pick up our order and they told us that tempura was in the works and will take longer. Ok, not a problem, we went back to our table and started eating. After 10 minutes, a guy came over and started asking if we ordered tempura. We said we did and he pointed to the front, directing us to pick it up there. Why not be nice and bring it over since it was delayed? After getting the tempura, we wished he didn't: the tempura batter was so horrible and the amount of cheap oil was way too much, it wasn't edible. We also ordered chicken katsu which was soggy and we threw most of it away. I don't recommend this restaurant, they don't appear to use adequate ingredients and don't cook well.
Sushi Hanabi
Sushi hanabi, 927 Main St #A, Pleasanton, CA 94566, United States
Cute little place with an impressive menu, including a specials menu of fish flown in internationally. Weve been here a few times and enjoyed their okonomiyaki (which is impossible to find in the tri valley area) and special rolls. Most recently, Husband and I shared hamachi toro from the specials menu (sooooo good!!!) and the signature sushi set for 2. The sushi set comes with miso soup (very gentle flavor...perhaps white miso?) and salad (really liked the tangy dressing), 6 pieces chefs choice sashimi, 6 pieces chefs choice nigiri, and you pick 2 rolls from their popular rolls menu. Rolls were good, but we thought their sashimi and nigiri were Hanabis strength. When realized they had brought us one of the wrong rolls, they made us the right one and let us take the wrong one home. Excellent customer service!!This place is very popular and often has a wait. There is a small parking lot, but weve never had trouble getting a spot. Ive only ever seen 2 wait staff working at a time, so service can feel a little slow compared to other places, but its really not that bad.
Kura Revolving Sushi Bar
2725 Stoneridge Dr #113, Pleasanton, CA 94588, United States
A Japanese restaurant with a revolving sushi bar and other automatic novelties. You order through a touch screenmounted above the table (way way too high in fact). Drinks are delivered by a robot. Other food items are delivered through a conveyor belt. Ramen was covered by a lid with a lock to avoid spill. And dishes are to be disposed of into a slot. And you could make payment via the touch screen, so you dont have to wait for any staff if you want. Food wise it is OK but if it is your first time, the experience is quite worth it.
Bonchon Pleasanton
2725 Stoneridge Dr Suite 109, Pleasanton, CA 94588, United States
First time visiting Bonchon....here are my impressions:1. service is good...attentive and friendly.2. food:a)edamame for appetizer was a rather small portion, enough for two people, but not much there. What shocked me was they charge $6.95 for what amounts to be a $0.50 serving. Other than salt, was rather bland, so how can they justify that price?b)Japchae-very delicious...I enjoyed this dish. Having said that, the portion was rather small....not that much meat, yet, the price was $15.95. Not a great value at all in my opinion.c)Bull Dak: this was freaking spicy! I mean, really, really spicy! But the flavors and textures were good, and the portion size was generous. But be prepared....this one had my lips on fire for an hour after the meal!3. the rest.....a)the plastic cups used for beverages looked like they were bought at a yard sale...extremely crazed (plastic had fine cracks all throughout). b)the acoustics in the restaurant were terrible. Everyones voices seemed like they were yelling, and the waitress actually turned UP the volume on the sound system, making the soundscape sound terrible between very loud music and peoples voices echoing all over the placec) we asked for a takeout container as we had leftovers...they added $0.30 to our bill for the takeout container!!!!! I had never heard of this in my entire life being charged for a takeout container!!!So, in conclusion, I dont think I will be returning. I think the food is very overpriced, and I did not enjoy the environment....they really should look at adding sound absorbing materials to address this. And stop charging customers for takeout containers...that is insulting.
Suki Hana
Livermore Outlets Dr, Pleasanton, CA 94551, United States
Worst Japanese I have had in the Bay Area.Teriyaki was too sweet. Sushis weren’t cut well and stuck to each other. Chicken gyoza was good.We got a Bento Box that had all the above. The restaurant is mediocre Japanese cuisine.
