Kobe Japanese Steak House
69838 CA-111, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270, United States
So the website doesnt do a good job of telling the customer that this is exhibition cooking and you will be dining with other people. That was a turn off for us. We all of a sudden was part of a childs birthday party and that isnt the experience we were looking for. The table area in which you eat at is VERY small. It was also a turn off to actually feel segregated from the action. The chef spoke mostly in Spanish. It was odd because everyone at the table speaks perfect English. He spoke to the birthday party in Spanish the whole time and the non Spanish speakers were an after thought EVEN THOUGH we all spoke English. It just seemed like the Spanish speakers got exclusive attention and care. BIG turn off, especially in a Japanese restaurant. Anyway, the food was good, but I didnt like getting food in stages and prefer a more intimate dinner with a complete plate of hot food.

Shabu Shabu Zen and Sake Bar

Great shabu shabu experience. I could tell this was an authentic Japanese restaurant when both waitresses spoke Japanese and when they said some dishes werent available today as the owner wasnt there to make them fresh today. The chicken karaage was delicious. The ponzu and sesame sauces were great. The $77 miyazaki beef was so good. It melted in my mouth. Id definitely come back next time Im in town.

To Go Sushi
40101 Monterey Ave # G2, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270, United States
Simply stated, this is the best sushi value I have ever experienced. My wife and I have probably eaten restaurant sushi one-hundred and fifty times, and this is the best. Now, grant, 3/4 of those were belt sushi to get a good deal, but THE DEALS HERE are pretty similar while the quality equals or exceeds the chef sushi meals. The fish was swimming within the last two days, maybe yesterday. The portions are surprisingly generous, and the owners are amazingly happy and kind. There is NOTHING to detract from the experience of To Go Sushi, except possibly that you really DO have To Go to it. If you live in Rancho Mirage and love sushi, lucky you. If youre visiting in Palm Springs and want to go up from grocery store sushi without shortening your vacation as a budgetary plan, go to this restaurant. And leave a GENEROUS tip. Youll still be way ahead of the Palm Canyon Drive crew.

Food was delicious but service was subpar. We went there for dinner the day before thanksgiving with wife, mom and mother in law.The restaurant was not very big and have limited seatings. We had made reservation so didn't need to wait but it seemed that most tables are reserved and they had to turn away any wall-in's while we were there. The sushi was delicious and well plated. They even have a tablet at each table so you can see the pictures before ordering. I really enjoyed the salmon belly sashimi, it was super fresh and smooth when you bite into it (like butter ? melting right into your mouth). We also ordered some specialty rolls which were all nicely prepared. The ingredients were super fresh which is crucial for any good sushi restaurant. However the service was not as good as the food. The waitress forgot how many orders have been serviced and had to check with us midway. Also they don't speak very good English so that added another layer of complexity in communication.Overall food was great but service can be improved, hence four star.

Land Rover Rancho Mirage

A high-class experience from start to finish!I was shopping for a new RR Velar P380 R-Dynamic HSE and I contacted at least 5 dealers in SoCal, but Rancho Mirage was just the best in every measurable degree. My salesman was Cody Dreier and he responded quickly to my online inquiry. He answered some questions I had, he sent a spec sheet, we negotiated a deal, and I was able to place a deposit; and all of this happened over the phone on the same day!!! Throughout the process, Cody was very professional and had a refreshing, easy-going, no-pressure presence. I flew in a few days later to buy the car and he had it ready inside the client delivery room with a bow on the car. Then, after signing the paperwork, I thought everything was done. Instead, Rancho Mirage surprised me with a one-on-one personal tour with the cars multitude of features; product specialist Bernice helped me set up my phone and infotainment system, show me the driving dynamics available, and answered any questions I had before leaving. Truly a high-class experience from start to finish. Also worth noting, Rancho Mirage has a very noticeable selection of more customized cars that you really dont see in any of the other dealers in SoCal. Youll find more unique cars on their lot, with exclusive interiors offered by Land Rover, and aesthetic selections that really compliment the car even more.I definitely recommend Rancho Mirage. Exemplary in salesmanship, professionalism, vehicle exclusivity, presentation, and their ability to provide a personalized, celebrity-level experience. Thank you for making it special.

Best sushi ?? in palm Springs, all food fresh and prepared on site, dont let the outside low key entry deter you from coming in. The food here is amazing, rivalling any other Japanese restaurant around in California!

The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas, Palm Sp...
71777 Dinah Shore Dr, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270, United States
This review is for the Villas. Its the time share part of the resort. The customer service is horrible, and the managers there appear to have little to no education. I say this because had they earned degree in college I dont think theyd be as low down and dirty as they were with me, and I also think theyd be better prepared for early check in.I requested an early check in when I placed my reservation 3 weeks before my arrival. I came there with my family, as a pro member with the SPG hotels and resorts. When I arrived to check in, I was told by a Latino lady at the front desk that she had no rooms, so I asked to speak with the manager, the lady didnt respond so I asked again, there was anther fellow at the desk who said he was the manager. I waited for him to finish up with the customer he was helping so I could be helped. This guys name is Vincent. He showed me where the rooms he had available were on a map. I asked hm if he could tell me what rooms would be available after check out and he said he had no way of knowing that (which made no sense). So I waited to see what he had available. I had originally requested a downstairs reservation but the rooms he had available were both upstairs. This was a Thursday morning. I felt like I had no choice so I chose the room closest to the pool for my kids convenience. So he checked me in but wrote a note under my reservation that said do not move, rooms are full. He was so fake trying to be polite but I saw right through it, I knew he was doing something evil. When I got into the room the kitchen garbage was full of trash, no one had emptied it. I called down to have someone come empty it and also to request a few things from the express customer service. I could tell by the ladys silence on the other end of the line, that she was reading something which surprised her. So I said waited a little bit and then to break the silence said hello mam are you there and she said yes, Im sorry I was just looking for something She took my request and about an hour after, someone came to empty the garbage. A lady from housekeeping also came by and apologized and asked if I needed anything, I said yes more towels, said shed have them come right up, no one came with towels. The next evening it was extremely hot and I called up to the front desk to see if there were any rooms we could switch to on the ground floor. When the manager answered I first asked him if there was some sort of note on my reservation. He looked at my room reservation and said, yes youre right, there is a note here written by Vincent that says, Do not move, rooms are full I asked the manager what would be the need to write something like that, thats telling everyone that I speak with to give me that message. If the rooms are full there is no need to write a note. I was therefore being discriminated against. This was crazy to me especially with me being a Pro Member of SPG. Just crazy! Vincent thought he was slick. So that particular manager who I was speaking with did a search for the rooms and told me that there was nothing available that was better than what I already had because it was now the weekend. So I made the best of the trip and enjoyed everything Palm Springs had to offer. The room and the price I paid compared to the service I received was highway robbery. But I still refused to let this destroy our vacation. Upon check out I waited for my turn in line, Vincent was there helping a lady who was looking to check in, he would have to wait an hour or so for a room, or take something they had available right away, Vincent gave her room numbers of rooms that were presently available and rooms that would be available at check out, she chose a room that would be available after check out. Ill wait for 4022 is what she stated. WHAT?Vincent said he had no idea of knowing what rooms would be available, when I checked in. What a liar. So Im notifying corporate and writing reviews on this resort to inform people of my horrible experience staying here. Dont buy a timeshare and dont stay.
