Tofu bean Korean BBQ is the best Korean restaurant in Rowland Heights. You should try Tofu & Kalbi. Its an excellent choice. Love.

There are Korean restaurants everywhere, but if you are in the Rowland Heights area, you should definitely try this place, great lunch specials and great tasting food, period.

I come here several times a year, and I think each time I come here the quality of service and food goes down, especially since changing from Bulgogi House to Red Castle. In general, if you need a quick and cheap Korean BBQ fix, then sure this place is great if you dont mind sub-par service on the part of their korean staff (their non-korean staff are actually really nice and attentive when available). You are also guaranteed to come out smelling of oil and cooked meat because none of their cooking vents seem to work anymore. Instead, they leave their front and side doors open, which basically does nothing to air out the restaurant. Will I come back anymore? Mm.... Sure if Im in the area and dont want to search for other options. But I wont be going out of my way to come back to this restaurant~
Kyodong Jjamppong Rowland Heights
18755 Colima Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, United States
For some reason, I prefer this location over the one in Arcadia. The noodles seem chewier, the black bean sauce a little chunkier and the spicy seafood soup a little more full of flavor and seafood.Anyway, both are good, but will go a little further when I can to Rowland Heights and have Arcadia location as my back up :)As I mentioned, I ordered the jajangmyun which was awesome. Tried the spicy version this time and loved the extra kick. Never tried it before because when I craved it, I didn’t want the spicy version to be so different it didn’t satisfy the craving. Now I can say, it’s very much the same, but with a kick. The jampong was also nice and spicy with lots of seafood. Noodle were really chewy and added to the soup this time around. Last time the soup was not strong enough to carry the noodles, so I didn’t add many. Was very different this time around.Last note is for packaging. Koreans restaurants handle to go orders the best and Kyodong is no different.————Wow! Korean Chinese comfort food at its finest. I’ve been in search of good jajangmyun or black bean noodle and jampong which is spicy seafood noodle soup. I loved this stuff as a kid and never understood why I couldn’t find these items on a Chinese restaurant menu :) Now that I realize this is a Korean version of Chinese dishes and are more likely to find in a Korean neighborhood, I know how to search when craving. These places are still hard to find, but happy I tried Kyodong. For a semi chain restaurant, I thought the dishes were one of the best I have tried. The spicy seafood noodle was spicy and rush in flavor. Noodles are a good addition, but didn’t add too many as I order the combo with sweet and sour pork as well as the black bean noodle. Just couldn’t decide, so ordered all three :)Black bean noodles were tasty, noodles nice a chewy and I have to say their packaging to go is perfect. See how the noodles and black bean sauce is packed together but separated, so east to carry out but still separated until it’s ready to be eaten. The items were well packaged and still hot after a 40 mins drive home in traffic. Pork was in a vented box, so still crunchy too.Maybe it’s because it’s been a minute since I’ve had these dishes (over a year) but for today, it hit the spot and then some so five stars from me.By the way, service was pretty great too. Tiny language barrier as my Korean stinks, but we worked it out and menu is in English too anyway.
bb.q Chicken Rowland Heights

Its a great place for Korean fried chicken...pretty similar to fried chicken from Korea. My family drive more than an hour to this restaurant for their fried chicken. All my kids love it. There are various choices. Yet our favorites are cheese, garlic honey and secret sauce...dont forget to pair with their crunchy pickle radish! ?
Sosom Ramen by Mister Bossam

Ive been here twice. Both experiences are exactly the same.As a Korean, i cant recommend this restaurant to anyone whos looking for legit Korean food with good quality.1. Quality of food is kind of bad compared to other Korean restaurants in general.2. Staff shortage. (Have to wait a lot)3. Music is too loud to enjoy food and have a conversation.4. Small amount of food, expensive.5. Cheap & disposable utensils, bowls.Gave benefit of doubt and revisited but i was right the first time. Meh.... Id stay clear for a while.
Gam Ja Gol

This is the first time I have encountered such a bad attitude in a Korean restaurant. Korean restaurants usually have good service. But this restaurant has a skinny Korean aunt with curly hair and a good figure. She is very rude. I will never go there again.
Jang Ga Nae Restaurant

Best GamJaTang ever! I love many entrées on their menu. This is the authentic Korean restaurant in Rowland Heights. They serve 볶음밥 when you order GamJaTang or Chicken spicy stew, some of my favorites. I enjoy the kimchi cold noodles a lot during summer.
Yei San Jib

I recently had an extremely poor service experience at this restaurant. In the past, the owner used to personally attend to guests, being friendly and attentive, which is why I frequented the place. However, during my recent visit, a young man took over as a server, displaying extreme rudeness and a lack of basic courtesy. He didnt even offer water, and shockingly, without my consent, he forcefully added an 18% tip to the bill. Whats even more alarming is that he insisted on an additional tip on the already added amount, a practice I had never encountered when the owner handled transactions. This deceptive way of double-charging for tips has led me to blacklist this restaurant. I hope the owner becomes aware of these issues rather than allowing such rude behavior from the staff. The service is very poor. When I came here to eat in the past, the boss would often personally entertain the guests. The boss was very nice, friendly and attentive. Because it was close, I came here often. But when I went to eat a while ago, the waiter turned into a young man, very rude and impolite. He didnt even give me water, and there was no service at all. He even forced me to charge an 18% tip at the checkout without my consent. Whats even more frightening is that he showed the bill amount after the 18% tip was imposed. Me, he asked me to tip again on top of the total price after adding tip. This hidden and repeated tipping method is something that the owner of this store has never seen when checking out in person. The behavior of this young man made me decide to add this restaurant to my list of restaurants I will never eat again. I hope the boss knows all this and doesnt let this waiter behave like this.

I dont think the one star reviews are a good picture of this place. We went on a Monday night and service was fine (its a typical korean restaurant), meat was really enjoyable, and the price point, for everything you get for $30, sealed it for me. Would come visit this place again
