Gen Korean BBQ House

Very disappointed experience. We put our names in the waiting list. When time has come, went to see the host. It was Friday evening btw. The first thing we were told is everyone be patient because the host is in training. Who does training on Friday evening anyway? There are about 15 people in the line. We were told we cant get in until we have party of 4. Well, we have only 2 now, but cant we go ahead and start ordering? Well, they said you cant. Must wait until all 4 arrives. Once we are seated, everyone seems to be rushing :(. We ordered food and expecting a couple small dishes like other Korean restaurants such as pickled vegetables, kimchi, small fried fishes, etc. But there are NO small side dishes. Absolutely nothing. Food came in quite quickly and we were asked rice or rice paper etc. I ordered rice paper and it came is cheap looking disposable dish tiny bit of amount. This is for 4 people. As far as food taste, its ok, Nothing outstanding, but not bad taste. Also, after paying the bill, they called my cell when I was on my way back home, saying the charges didnt go through. How does it happen when I signed the receipt in the restaurant? All I can think is, they lost it. So, I had to give all credit card info AGAIN when I was driving. Terrible experience. You will never have similar experience like other Korean BBQ places. The experience is entirely disappointing and disgusting. No we will never go back and do not recommend this place.

The restaurant is located at a great corner place. The food is delicious but not as authentic as other Korean restaurants. The sauce dishes with tomatoes sauce is also odd. We love the clean tidiness of the restaurant. The beer taste great ?
Songhak Korean BBQ - Tustin

Just be fair the food was fine. And the service had been fine until the last moment that my friend and I experienced something terribly wrong! Date: May 31st, 2022. Time: Around 3:05pm Location: The right corner of the booth if walking from the entrance of Songhak Korean BBQ restaurant in Tustin, CA. We came across this restaurant by chance for our lunch at about 2:20pm. At around 3pm I found two staffs were in the cashier counter. Suddenly the light was off in half of the restaurant that included the table we were still eating. At first, we thought it might have been a mistake with short circuit or just a human wrong touch. While seeing other side of customers of the restaurant enjoying their food with light on, I found myself and my friend eating with darkness. Nobody came to explain what had happened to us after a few minutes. Upon questioning, a waiter named Alan (he claimed) replied that he was not the person turning off the light. I told him that I did not care who had turned off the light, I just needed the light to be back on so that we could continue our lunch. The waiter became impatient and repeated that he had not turn off the light. I asked Alan if he could turn on the light so that we could finish our lunch. He neither answered my question nor solved the problem. Alan, the waiter, told me that no manager on duty when I requested to speak to his supervisor. This young waiter Alan even impatiently told me that he was already off duty as if he had offered the conversation beyond his duty. At this point, I believe it would have been waist our time discussing further. Although we left with dissatisfaction and disappointment, I nevertheless left the tips for the waiter for his service in the first part of our meal. For a restaurant that I just found it in Google with my cell phone, I did not expect any extraordinary meal experience but just for a decent Korean BBQ lunch. However, I did not expect such an awful incident that my friend and I would have experienced. It totally ruined our mood for sure! I still do not understand what went wrong or why we experienced blackout when having the lunch. I guessed a possible answer: We had arrived around 2:20pm and the light was off at around 3pm, perhaps the employees wanted to close our section and therefore rudely turned off the light! We were led to this table; we were not told if they need to close at 3pm! Please note that other customers were still in the other side of the restaurant for their meals when our tables light was turned off. This was a ridiculous experience in my life! Since the waiter Alan told me that no supervisor could be informed, I decided to share my unfortunate experience to the public! Let public know about it and let people judge it!
Ye Dang Korean Restaurant

Most traditional Korean restaurant in the Irvine/Tustin area when you don’t want AYCE Kbbq. I was craving a delicious spicy fish stew and that’s what I got and it was absolutely delicious. The place was not busy before 12 pm but by the time we finished our food, the place got packed with all Koreans and many older Koreans. I took a star off for the forgetful servers. There were only 2 servers for the whole restaurant and they did seem overwhelmed, they did come by with a smile apologizing for their forgetfulness. My family definitely want to come back often and try their other dishes.
Flame Broiler

This place has bad service at its finest. I give it a 0 stars, due to the fact that after placing my order, I had to wait almost 20 mins, and my order still was not ready. It wasn't not even lunch (rush hour), and the store had probably 5 people that placed orders. With 4 cooks in the back and 1 cashier in the front! On top of that, the cashier was slow and was on her phone. I had about 9 minutes left of my lunch, and requested my refund back. After requesting for my refund back, the cashier said “oh your food is almost ready?” After 20 mins waiting, it seemed like she didn't want to give me my refund. After waiting and people getting their food, after I was placed mine was insane! The manager came out, and whisper something to the cashier, but the so cal “manager” did not even apologize… this is sad, it's not the first time this happens. I hope corporate or someone with higher knowledge, can address this, and retrain their employees, including the manager.

The food was good the place is clean. The cashier was a little awkward but thats to be expected free kid holding down his first job I suppose. The whole thing took less than 20 minutes from the moment we ordered the moment we got back in the car. I do recommend this Flame Broiler. But me my wife and kids just love teriyaki balls like that so check it out anyways.:-)

New to Korean BBQ - food was okay the side dishes taste great no guidance or recommendations really given. Make sure to track your time because they do not notify you and will charge you Standard even if you selected the lunch special and only got meats from that section it was disappointing to notify them that we had no idea of the situation and asked for clarity on how things work and not getting answer. No fountain drinks available a can of coke is $3. There are other Korean BBQs out there to try! If this is reviewed by management - I suggest investing in staff training after all they represent you and the business and there is a lack of communication and understanding maybe not to those familiar with the restaurant or Korean BBQ but for new comers it really was not a great experience. I walked out of there not knowing if the host tracks the time or if the customer is suppose to track the time for the lunch special Also when does it start when they sit you down, when you place your first item order??? It was not even explained why we got upcharged to avoid in the future! I did not have an issue with paying if I did something incorrect but some clarity would of been the least Humberto could of done. Mind you, I asked after paying full price without hesitation.

Great place for chicken and some beer. Some people think its a Korean restaurant. Its not..its a bar to get the typical bar food and drink. If you want the restaurant feel, you best look elsewhere.
VOKO Karaoke Lounge
14561 Red Hill Ave, Tustin, CA 92780, United States
If I had to describe Voko in three words: fun, clean, and friendly! If you love singing, Voko is a haven full of private rooms for you to sing inside. They also have tambourines. The mics offered are high quality, and Ive never experienced the terrible mic feedback that other local facilities have put me through.Voko has one of the cleanest and largest spaces out of the karaoke lounges in the OC. For those with stage fright, youre only singing in a private room with whomever you select to be there. Also, everyone around you will probably be drinking and singing and not care what you sound like so dont let that hold you back! They have many popular English songs and a number of Korean, Japanese, plus a ton of Chinese song selections. It would be amazing if the facility could update their english song selections since they are missing a number of popular artists and songs from the past few decades. This would truly solidify its 5-star status. They also have a decent menu of food items in case you are hungry. Fries, pizza, wings, Korean seafood pancakes, etc. Taste is pretty good though portions are a little smaller for premium prices. No outside drinks are permitted, but theyve got plenty of water and alcohol you can purchase.Service is usually on point! The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and try to give you a very positive experience, even when they are busy.Prices are par for the course for the OC, but well worth the value for a really nice space and experience.

1st visit was a ZERO star. But ill guve them a 4 star on my 2nd visit.1st visit Every table was dirty. 10 tables to sit at and only 4 taken including me.Ordered a chicken bowl with veggies and no rice. Was given minimal chicken, 4 pieces of broccoli, 5 carrot slivers. And a bowl of cabbage.I always eat at Flame Broiler, this one didnt hold up to the standard of all the others.2nd visit 2 weeks later on 8/31/17 went much better. All tables were clean. I ordered the same dish but with no cabbage. Broccoli, Carrot, chicken servings were much better.I will add, the staff was different then the 1st time. It is soooo important to be careful who you let represent your company.1st impressions are everything!!!
