Mochi by Okashi Fusion
1661 E Monte Vista Ave P - 102, Vacaville, CA 95688, United States
I was so excited to go to this place and I'm really glad I did! The food was really good. The staff was REALLY nice! I was very skeptical about the mochi donut as the texture of mochi isn't something I really care for. After asking a few questions the person working there asked me if I wanted to try some which was really kind! I'm glad they did because it sold me 100%The texture of the donut is a bit chewier and thicker than regular donuts. I had the Ube flavor and I would highly recommend! (It's mostly just sweet with not too strong of a particular flavor in my opinion.)Now the corn dog was interesting! It was what I had came in there for honestly. It definitely was really tasty but not quite what I expected. I got the combination dog which is beef and cheese mixed together, as well as a plain crust with sugar and ketchup on the side. I think what I was expecting was more of an alternation between meet and cheese. To where you'd be able to get a bite of meat and cheese in one go. It definitely was mostly cheese (or 2-3 bites of cheese, then 2 bites of meat, etc.) which wasn't bad just not what I was expecting! I coated the outside with a light amount of sugar, and then some ketchup and somehow everything paired so well together! If you thought sugar wouldn't be good with this combo. You'd be wrong! (Plus that's the traditional way, and if you're wondering, the sugar makes the crust kinda taste like a sugar donut or a funnel cake or something like that!) Overall this place is really good! I definitely would recommend trying it. I could see myself going back!

All in all this place started great. This review Im leaving though because I dont agree with what one of the people did that deliver the food to the table. We put our order in and this woman brought everything out, was all good then she randomly comes back with a second order of gyoza that I didnt order, but before I could stop her she quickly disappeared...we tried to wave down our waiter but he was to busy sitting other tables. I figured oh well, well let him know when he gets a moment to add it to the bill. Wife takes two of the gyoza off the plate and the lady that dropped the order came back and swiped the plate off the table without a word and proceeded to throw the food in the trash can....I can no longer justify giving this business my money with that kinda thought process...not my fault you made two orders but I worked in food buisness once and usually once that food is dropped on the table its gone lol and I intended on paying for it to boot just kinda killed our vibe so...but yeah after that I requested my bill paid and left didnt make a fuss out of it...just wont be going back hope everyone else has a better experience but this was mine lol sashimi is good, Nigiri good, rolls are okayish depending on which ones dont recommend the super rainbow, and rammen is okay ?

I love Nut Tree Complex it has assortment of different stores all located in one area in Vacaville. Most of the stores in complex has staff members inside them who are professional, knowledgeable, courteous. There is also some good bargains in the stores within the Nut Tree Complex. Also like little train, and musical carousel rides. And lets not forget about Very great ice cream ? place. Fentons. There is also very good restaurants in the Nut Tree Complex. The Nut Tree Complex is a very good family environment. Very happy Nut Tree Complex is part of Vacaville Community. Its also good place to meet friends and shop. Also not far from Travis Air Force Base. The miles from Base I dont know. But a very beautiful nice environment to shop and eat.
The Brass Tap

It all started 2 days before this review where we went there and had an excellent time. One of the waitresses said they would be getting pliny the younger on Monday so we decided to make another trip from Isleton to enjoy one of our favorite beers. When we got there on Monday around 6:30 p.m. we were seated and then in a surprisingly not super busy Monday it took them at least 15 minutes to ask us if we wanted anything to drink, when we said we wanted to Pliny the youngers the lady told us they had sold out in 20 minutes, no big deal for us even though it was a little disappointing we know that they have a decent selection of beer and could find something else to get. At that point in time we also ordered our food, we ordered two entrees and an appetizer in the correct order where I asked if we could get our chips and dip trio first and then our entrees. It took them approximately 15 minutes to bring us our drinks and I sat there and watched our appetizer and one of our entrees sit at the heat lamp and the wait staff would just walk by it and or go talk to some other guests. When they finally decided to bring us our food they brought everything together including the appetizer which was wrong, we ordered the chips and dip trio and got just chips and beer cheese, immediately informed the waiter that we ordered the trio so he took it back and replaced it which was great The not so great part was that we had to eat everything at once which was not so fun but cuz we wanted to enjoy our first beer with our appetizer and then get a second one with our entree. After getting all of our stuff and having a decent meal it took the wait staff another 30 minutes to ask us if we need anything at that point in time we had already finished our first beer and didnt want to wait another 15 to 20 minutes for our second so we just got our check and left. I wish our second experience was more like our first experience at this place which was great and the only reason we came back.
County Square Market

A must go for Asians in NorCal! I must say, there arent a ton of options for Asian groceries in the Vacaville/Davis area, so its super nice to have a decent sized Asian supermarket around here. They have an assortment of snacks, sauces, canned goods with varieties of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Thai cuisine. They may not have it all, but pretty close! Theres also a bubble tea shop co-located with them, so its a nice little stop to go to after shopping ? Theres also a few restaurants in the same shopping area as well.
The Habit Burger Grill

Our experience today was horrible!!! We have an error once & it was fixed immediately.Tonight was error after error. When we started ordering the cashier was right because our daughter doesnt like the bread that comes with the veggie burger. He asked an employee how to sub the bun? Then the cashier proceeded to do his job great! My daughter immediately saw it was the wrong bun. She didnt want to say anything but i insisted because i knew she want going to eat it. The same man that changed the order says he was trying to make it cheaper otherwise it would have been an eztra $2. Shouldnt you allow the customer to make that decision? My son n law asked for mushrooms on the side. Who serves ice cold mushrooms? Yup my husband a prior su? chef was shocked! To top it off I HATE ONIONS!!! I can cook with it, makes food tasty of course but God forbid i take a bite of an onion(Childhood issue)!!! Yup I took a bite & grilled onions were everywhere!!! Why? My sweet potato fries came luke warm. This was my st timw ordering them. Lets not forget we spent over $40. Whether i spend $4/ $40/ $400 i should get whats ordered. This was not acceptable period!!! He came & said he didnt know what happened? My receipt was right except for the veggie burger of course. Ok so you gave me a coupon i had to ask for with the bun issue. I would have expected to have the money refunded at that point dont you? I didnt eat my burger, I was to grossed out. My daughter was mad that everything went wrong & ate a little bit. So in between our burgers going back and forth all the fries were cold, our sodas watered down. Enough written
University of Beer - Vacaville

I was so excited to finally check this place; really looking forward to the imperial stout.However...I will have to share with the masses who would chose to be interested in such things, that if you are a person of visible ethnic background, traveling with a group who are of visibly non-ethnic backgrounds, be prepared to suffer the embarrassment of being the only one at the table be required to show a stamped passport in order to he served. In all my travels, I have not seen this. I would have actually not been bothered about it at all, if they had required additional identification from all of us at the table. I enquired with the manager on duty and was scoffed at, but not given further explanation For me, even as a non-ethnic person, this meant the end of my stout pursuit. Also, I love comfort as much as the next person and heat waves are a challenge to endure but, having two, very large air-conditioners in an severely poorly insulated outdoor patio blowing on full...I dunno people. In a state that is suffering increased environmental and energy challenges, there must be a better way to do this that is not contributing to the problem.I'm sure the beer is probably great. I'm sure its not the only place. We vote with our dollars. Why is there not an option for zero stars?
Noodles and Company
1640 E Monte Vista Ave, Vacaville, CA 95688, United States
Tried this place for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered Japanese pan friend noodles with grilled chicken, Korean meatballs, and fried dumplings. The noodles were good, the chicken was excellent, and the Korean meatballs were probably my favorite! The one thing I didnt really care for was they use the newer style soda machines with the touch screen that has all the various flavors come out of a single nozzle. Personal preference, but I dont care for them. Also, there was only one machine so and I ended up having to wait several minutes for my turn.Besides that the meal was excellent, not too expensive, and didnt take too long to be served. The interior was very clean and open and I saw an employee going around asking how the customers were doing at least twice while I was there which is pretty impressive for a fast food restaurant.
Fire Wings Vacaville
1021 Helen Power Dr p300, Vacaville, CA 95687, United States
As much as I love their wings, I have to humble their overall rating with a 1 star review based on my most recent customer service interaction. As Im walking out, Im thinking how I wished I ordered fries. The worker comes out as Im loading my car to tell me she accidently put fries in my bag. Im like shoot, can I pay for them? She tells me no cause its someones order. So I hand it to her. Then she asks if theres another order of fries. Im checking the containers and it breaks open. Again, I offered to pay for it and she says she cant give away someone elses order and Id have to place a new order. First of all, she already made the mistake of giving someone else the order, second, the fries were coming out as I checked them which meant i touchem them. I said youre giving these to them? Thats just wrong. She went back in and placed them in their bag. I wouldve expected a restaurant to remake that order.
Tugboat Fish & Chips Vacaville
1989 Peabody Rd # 1, Vacaville, CA 95687, United States
Way over priced for fish & chips. My wife & I went in for lunch. Wow was I surprised. $30 for fast food lunch. Dont get me wrong, I will pay if it is worth it. $30 is even high for dinner fast food.So...now for the food. It definitely was not worth it. My wife got a shrimp plate and I had regular fish & chips. Hers was about $i5 and mine over $10. Mine was 2 pieces fish(miniature) and about 10 fries. She did have 5 shrimp, fair size but Gortons probably bigger from Safeway! Oh, and 10 fries. As for drinks, I wasnt going to pay $3 for a soda. The woman even wanted to charge my wife for water! If I hadnt already paid I would have been gone. Then, we had to pickup the food on a tray ourself. The place was not exactly clean. More like messy. I usually go to the bathroom first. If thats clean, the rest of the store should be okay. I did find it somewhat strange that the place was operated by Chinese and cooking fish & chips. Definitely not worth the price or service. Would not recommend.
