Pho Daisy
15034 Prairie Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250, United States
Great service, clean and new utensils but the food quality is only three stars. Ordered the classic number one mixed pho, the tendens were mixed with silver skin and chewey borderline crunchy. Broth taste good and pipping hot at first with is good, but the high sodium form the over use of fish sauce, salt and msg(good stuff in moderate amount, I am pro msg user but not in this amount) made me very thirst for water after I walked out. Service derserve five stars. Total 3.5 but unable to give out half.

Penzeys Spices
21217 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Anyone who loves to cook or loves to eat--or possesses taste buds and has a soul--will find Penzeys just as appealing as I do the moment they enter the store. You will never find a place that smells better... except maybe Hershey, Pennsylvania, which would undoubtedly lose its charm pretty quickly if you had to spend more than an hour there.Every spice you can imagine--and plenty youve never heard of--line the many shelves of Penzeys. In addition, youll find soup stocks, cocoa powders of various descriptions, baking seasonings (such as several varieties of cinnamon, and yes, you CAN smell the difference!), pepper grinders and empty seasoning jars you can use to mix your own seasonings, as I do. But what keeps me coming back to Penzeys every few weeks are the spice blends that they make and sell. They have a whole section devoted to these, with such imaginative names as Galena Street Spice and Arizona Dreaming. My two favorites are the Bicentennial Blend (which I use instead of lemon pepper on roasted chicken sometimes for a fantastic treat brimming with flavor) and the Turkish Seasoning. Ive never been to Turkey; I have no idea if anyone associated with Penzeys has actually set foot in Constantinople. If this blend is authentically Turkish in flavor, something tells me Id enjoy my stay if I ever make it to the gateway of the Middle East, however. I use it for my ginger noodle recipe, chicken and stir-fried just about anything. When I run out, Ive found that either the Arizona Dreaming or the Northwoods Seasoning makes an excellent backup. For those who like to browse, every spice station has a sample jar for sniffing. These are not the little jars they sell to the public, but very large containers half-filled with whatever spice the station features; more than enough for a good sniff, and the jar is wide enough for you to fit your whole schnoz inside, even if you have a beak like Jamie Farr. The service in this store is always superb. We are always greeted warmly by the same two ladies (I dont even know if anyone else works there), who sometimes follow us around to answer questions if we so much as appear even slightly inquisitive; otherwise, they let us browse undisturbed. I dont know if they have ESP, have been excellently trained or are just unusually perceptive, but they never make me feel pressured or bothered with too much--or, worse, not enough--attention.Lastly, while you will pay a little more than you would for McCormick spices, the prices are very reasonable at Penzeys, especially considering the quality cannot be matched by any seasoning you can buy in any supermarket. Only babbling, drooling idiots would not LOVE this store.
Zacatecas Restaurant
13737 S Inglewood Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250, United States
I'm gonna put this RIIIIGHT HERE!! Zacatecas Restaurant shame on you!!!! The few times I went there I had great experience. family friendly and professional, up until today. I order 2 pozole Picked up order, made a stop by the store on my way home, got back in car & this horrible smell was there. I had on 2 masks and could still smell it. It was the onions. I was too far away to go back so I just tossed them out. I got home, opened the cabbage and soup to make sure they werent spoiled and the cabbage was spoiled as well and limes were dried up. The soup was ok. A little bland but ok. I decided to call them especially when I noticed the items werentfresh., I started my conversation by telling him how much I love their establishment but wanted to give heads up about the spoiled items and he basically talked over me, very loudly saying everything was freshly cut today. I said, well someone missed the mark and how bad the onions smelled. He loudly said, well, we cut fresh and he didnt believe me but if I want him to be a liar ok fine and he hung up in my face because they gave me spoiled items. WOW! I was really really shocked at his reaction because Ive never had that experience there. They just lost a customer. I wish I had gotten his name but Im pissed because pozole isnt enjoyed the same without the trimmings. This is exactly why I dont eat out a lot but Ive been too sick to cook and thought some hot pozole would help.??♀️ Id been better off opening my Campbells Chicken noodle soup and saved my $37 and my gas. Im reluctant to eat the pozole now. ??♀️
Mennoya Noodle House
United States, California, Hawthorne, W El Segundo Blvd, 邮政编码: 90250
There is a new ramen shop here, very close to my home, I am very happy, so that I don’t have to drive half an hour to eat noodles after work?. I like the style here is very Japanese anime, my favorite ?One Piece Luffy and Joe Badu, the staff here are very enthusiastic, and the hygiene is also very clean. The main reason is that people who have delicious noodles can choose a variety of toppings. Chicken karaage is delicious?. My favorite is takoyaki, which is much bigger than other shops. And dumpling ❤️❤️❤️Check out the new store, delicious ?❤️
South Bay Eats
16711 Hawthorne Blvd, Lawndale, CA 90260, United States
My 1st time here, but Ive been vegan for years. And the food here was amazingly tasty! This is a food kitchen, meaning they serve different types/styles of food here at this location (Bith Vegan and non Vegan eaters).I picked the The Vegan Pig Kitchen ?. So my above review is meant for the VPK.Side note: its down the street from the Arco gas station, On the opposite side.It may appear to be hard to find, but let your GPS guide you there. Its by a crosswalk area. Youll be fine. Best place to park is around the corner. Because there is no actual parking lot for this particular Food Kitchen establishment.•I hope this info helps.
Costco Business Center
12530 Prairie Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250, United States
I used go here but not anymore ever since ANA started being there. That lady never allowed us to buy stuff in pallets. I been shopping to this Business Costco for years and its never been a problem buying pallets of cup noodle soups, nesquik, 2Liter sodas etc.. Stop coming here for that reason that lady never let us buy stuff. Also, she so rude when asking for help. Gave her many chances but never again ever coming back here. We are just trying to buy stuff in bulk. Thats the main reason i used to come here to buy stuff for my business. Isnt that the point? Sorry for my bad English
Inaba Japanese Restaurant
20920 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Tucked away in a shopping center, this Japanese Restaurant is amazing. They make their own noodles. The Sushi and Sashimi are absolutely best. Myself and my Chef friend tried over 20+ items and all of them were outstanding. The Beef tongue were delicious, Soba was perfectly cooked, the Tempura was very light and crisp- one of the best I have tasted. The service was very good and I will be back again and again and again.
Pick Your Plate
11943 S Inglewood Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250, United States
First of all, if you arent familiar with a mom and pop Filipino restaurant shop that you would find in the small province of the Philippines, youre probably not going to be thrilled by the appearance. This is a total hole in the wall. The ideal definition of what people say a hole in the wall would be. Its clean. Its just not fancy. You pay for the food and the family is so sweet. Theyll let you sample too. For those saying the samples are small... Lol I dont know how much more food you need to the point the lid is barely closed. They pile it in. You can see the pics of everyone here lol. This is not the type of place you want to bring vegan friends to. Most the dishes are meaty. Though sometimes theyll have a couple of vegetable options.Only thing to not be surprised about is some days they can run out of food pretty quickly or have a huge line depending if they get hit by huge bum rush of different huge groups of people.especially Thursdays on lechon day if you show after 1pm the lechon might be cleared out) And then some days you walk in and its like totally empty. And then while youre eating all the 30 people show up lol. Most popular days there are Thursdays because thats lechon day. I like Fridays because sometimes they have Flipspag and fried chicken. And its not like your typical restaurant with as a menu you look at in order. You literally check their Facebook page every morning and see what theyve got because they cook everything fresh that morning. Anyone that says this isnt authentic Filipino food is one of two things. 1) A hater.. or 2) they actually really dont know what Filipino food is. And for the people that flat out say this place is bland, I would say those are fake reviews because if anything I have to use less sauce or portion out what I eat because it is extremely flavorful. The people say its not greasy or fatty? They have lechon on Thursday lol? Longenisa. Theyve got beefsteak with onions or sisig. Literally. Just look at the pictures everyone takes. For your first visit, if you plan on eating there I would say just come by yourself or go with a friend. The cater to 2 menus. The Filipino of course and a western menu. Their fillet & chicken cordon bleu.. so good. The buffet is mostly Filipino.Theyre being bulk of the businesses catering so if they are catering that day, theyll usually make an extra batch of that dish and have is an option for the buffet and sometimes you get really surprised because you never knew they offered it. Lol. Weve been coming here since the first few months opening and I can still walk in once in a while in the experience a new dish that I never knew that they could cook lol. They actually cater more western dishes... The fillet mignon, cordon Bleu, garlic fried shrimp, and malabon are staples we order here for every big family occasion. We used to do the sisig, but now we switched to chicken sisig (a little healthier lol) I always bring a 1/2 tray pancit to friend parties and its always one of the first things at the party to deplete. My folks are Filipino and weve brought so many of our relatives from our of town here from all over the US and back in the P.I. when they visit. They all love this place. As for my favorites... Friday Flip Spag. This is the only day Ill choose the food by the weight option. Other days... Longenisa with rice, with some Kari Kari sauce or adobo sauce on the rice, (a sunny side up egg if they have time to make it(no line not busy)❤️ This place!

Marugame Udon
21211 Hawthorne Blvd space d unit 110, Torrance, CA 90503, United States
Checked out the new Marugame Udon in Torrance this afternoon, heard good things about it. Ample parking, located in a new shopping center plaza on Hawthorne Avenue.Walked in an was warmly greeted in Japanese, ordered my noodles and grabbed the side tempura. Noticed no rice balls or musubis like the Hawaii ones though... ??Taste and price was up to par with other Marugames ive visited, self serve and put the trays and dishes back when done. Cheap eats done right, 5 stars??
