Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
660 Ventura Blvd, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
Pick Up Stix appears to have gone through many reinventions over the years and version 2021 is just not very good.I assume the Pad Thai was missing peanuts as an error but overall the sauces just werent very good. I did get a side of teriyaki sauce as I anticipated that I may need to add an extra flavor and that was not good either. Everything seems to be vinegar based and unlike the competition PuS (unfortunate abreviation) just have inferior flavor profiles & sauces. Panda Express can have consistency issues but arguably their teriyaki sauce is good enough to cover up many sins! PuS sauces add nothing, only detract and add a flavor that is not so nice.May have been unlucky with my menu choice but nothing about it gives me any desire to go back!

I got takeout from these guys one time only, ordering quite a few items. So I can provide info on the food from one visit. I thought the food was passible, but not great, and the quality varied a bit depending on what dish it was. The highlight dish was the avacado curry. My mother is a vegan and she likes the food here okay y, she recommends the yellow curry. We also ordered the avocado Curry which was very good, I thought it was the best dish we got. And also the red curry, which was also pretty good. I also got the Drunken Noodles which I thought were mediocre and the spicy Thai basil eggplant, which to my mind was not a Thai Basil dish at all. It wasnt spicy at all, like zero. I dont know if there were Thai chiles in it or not, it didnt seem like it. Plus the flavor profile was sweet. Not great, or what I wanted. I dont know if I will return to this restaurant I would say probably not. But on the chance that I did I would definitely order curry. Thats my take away from it.

Love Pho N Mor
341 Arneill Rd, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! As a returning customer I am sadly disappointed with Pho Camarillo. After a long shift my wife had me order out as per normal and I had never had issues with this restaurant. We order several items totaling over 70.00 as always the food look good and prepared. But today my wife found a hair in the SPRING ROLLS. When I called to complain they offered to make another. I simply stated we live over 40min away. Can you please just deduct the rolls. The expectation from them was for me to return the next day and bring in the rolls as proof. So instead you guys Im providing you with wonderful pictures of the hair that in my spring roll. All I want was a reimbursement for my rolls nothing else and because I live so far. I will now be filing a dispute and hopefully saving the sample for the health department. I dont understand why you would not want to make this right. Im a returning customer and my purchases are usually around 60.00+I want you to know I will get my money back. Its not the amount of money because 12.00 can be spent on coffee it the principal your not willing to make it right. Hope that this will teach you how to be courteous and willing to help people. You have my phone number from the order. Ill give you to this weekend before its moving forward to the health department.Thank you for nothing!Nico Vargas

Pan Asia Thai Restaurant
390 N Lantana St, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
Review Alert! Rice by Mama just opened 2/17/2024. Any review older than that is for the previous restaurant, PanAsia. Pan Asia was so much better! The only improvement is that the seats have padding.Giant tvs playing streaming market scenes. You are lined up in a tight row, so when the table next to you is seating or leaving, their butt slides across your table. We waited 10 minutes for them to take our order. After ordering, another 10 minutes went by when our server returned to ask what protein I wanted, which I had stated when I originally gave her my order. Someone elses order is brought to our table and removed. 20 more minutes, and she comes back to say they dont have my dish. Its not available. By now, Im pretty grossed out and feeling claustrophobic with 3 inches between tables and unable to have a conversation with my date without neighbors interjecting. The server comes back again and asks if I want to order, I say no, no time. More waiting. I step out to make a phone call to cancel an appointment because we are now running late. When I return, they have brought my dates meal and a menu for me. They brought him the wrong meal. Take his dishes. Wait another 10 minutes for his tofu yellow curry, which he requested as a 5 on the 1-5 spicy scale. He said it wasnt even a 1. Decent flavor, no heat. Server plunks a fork in front of me (theres already one there) as if to say I should eat his curry too. I cant eat curry. I just want out of there. They comped our drinks, oh yeah.My experience: close to an hour and a half, no edible food, claustrophobic, chaotic, Terrible. My dates experience: mediocre food and terrible service, but he got a free drink.Im never going back.

Sesame Garden
1775 E Daily Dr STE G, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
If you want authentic, high-quality Chinese food in Ventura County, Sesame Garden is the place to go. My Beijing-born family and I discovered this wonderful little place not long after moving back from China in 2013, and rarely does a week go by when we are not coming in for our favorites. Our list of favorites is long and varied. Their mu-shu dishes are superior, the right amounts of sauces and flavors. The Kung Pao - we order either the Kung Pao Chicken or Kung Pao Tofu - is out of this world, and theyll dial the spiciness up or down based on your preferences. They have a pepper-salt fish with sliced jalapenos that is so light and tasty you could eat the whole dish without stopping. They do eggplant like nobody else we have found. And the Beef Noodle Soup? Oh, my Lord - the best winter day warm-up ever. Some things to know that make them extra special:- They do not use msg that we have been able to detect. My wife is very sensitive to it and has walked out of many other Chinese restaurants in the area with a headache as a result. Never at Sesame Garden.- Many Chinese restaurants are unimaginative with sauces, so nearly every dish tastes the same. Sesame Garden makes their own sauces for each dish, and each dish is a labor of love for the chef. Ask for their spicy mustard sauce to dip an egg roll into. WOW!- This is literally a mom-and-pop operation. She handles the front, he oversees the kitchen.- As authentic as this place is, the chef does like to experiment with local flavors, hence the jalapenos in the pepper-salt fish. The inclusions are creative, not pandering, and you will love it.We cook Chinese food at home, but coming here is such a treat we just cant resist. We like a lot of restaurants, but only a 4-5 get marked as our happy places. This is one of our happy places.

Happy Bowl Express
716 Arneill Rd, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
I went here last night with my daughter (shes 3,) my husband, and my brother. 5 STARS!!Reason ☆1- The CUSTOMER SERVICE is OUTSTANDING. My daughter LOVES broccoli, so the woman serving gave her a free side of FRESH broccoli and encouraged her to continue to eat her veggies.Reason ☆☆2- The QUALITY of the food is AMAZING. The taste is so much better than Panda Express, from the meats to the chowmein.Reason ☆☆☆3- The QUANTITY per plate! WHERE DO I BEGIN. I used to work at Panda Express, we were strictly trained to give 1 scoop per meat, where at Happy Bowl they give you a good 2-3 scoops per meat. And they are glad to make you your food fresh even if they are 5 minutes until closing time!Reason ☆☆☆☆4- The PRICE of the food. SO. MUCH. CHEAPER. THAN. PANDA. EXPRESS. Delicious and greater portions- no need to say more!Reason ☆☆☆☆☆5- CLEANLINESS and OPTIONS. The store was so clean (as it always is,) and I am always comfortable with how sanitary the food is (I have to be when my daughter is eating it.) The options of food and drinks are perfect. (MY daughter chose chocolate milk from the refrigerator, Panda Express doesnt have that option.)SO OVERALL- give it a try!!! You will NOT be disappointed!!! ♡

Chesters Asia Chinese Restaurant
2216 Pickwick Dr #6410, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
Cheaters Asia had gone down hill. I used come here A LOT for take out. Came to eat here for lunch and the service is OK it took them awhile to sit you because no one is at the front to greet and seat incoming customers, food is so so... I am giving them 1 star because of the following reasons; the utensils are dirty and the dipping sauce tasted fishy (its not even for a fish dish). The utensils looked cloudy(not shiny at all, kinda looked like calcium from hard water but a little oily) so I tried to wipe it hard with the napkin and the cloudy look disappered and the shine that I was looking for appeared...yes I dont know if their dish washer wasnt working good, obviously they need to make sure their utensils are shiny clean! So I asked for chopstick, the chopsticks were greedy i have to clean it...again! I asked for sweet sour sauce for my fried noodles, while waiting for my food, and it had an after taste I couldnt pin point the taste but after my second try... it sure tasted like the sauce had fish in it. The water is also greasy, maybe its from the glass. I hope they address these issues because I used to like Cheaters but I would not come back if its still like this!

Hunan Garden
5241 Mission Oaks Blvd, Camarillo, CA 93012, United States
I have ordered take out from this place a couple of times and it was ok. I decided to dine and give them another chance. I placed my order and one item was Crispy Shrimp. She said it was spicy, i told her it was fine. The food all came out at different times. The Shrimp came out about 10 solid minutes after everything else. When I got it, it was breaded and a yellow color and smelled of curry. I tried a little piece and sure enough it was curry and also not spicy at all. It was awful to say the least. My 5 year old loves crispy Shrimp (spicy) he tried this and spit it out.I have had Crispy Shrimp from Peking Inn and it was really good. I was expecting something like that. The owner finally came out about 10 minutes after I told the waiter I was not happy with the shrimp. She said this is what I ordered and basically deal with it, No apology no taking it off my bill nothing. She was so rude. What ever hapend to costumer is always right. I said If I wanted Indian food I would of gone down the walk way and had it. She said we advertise it on the window, Well they do advertise Curry Chicken on the window. I will never dine at this place again and hope after reading this no one else will, Very disappointed, I hope they go out of business!!!!

Dennys
1659 E Daily Dr, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
This Dennys is going downhill fast. Servers are still very friendly and professional, but the greeters are typically young men covered in tattoos who dont seem to want to be there. The food is also getting worse as time goes by (hard to believe for a Dennys, but its true). I ordered a country fried steak platter. The steak was lukewarm, and the white gravy on top was room temperature and very thick. Quite disgusting. I had it redone, and the replacement was not much better. Dennys insists on using way too much salt to hide the lack of flavor. The toast was soaked in butter, and the biscuit my wife received was semi-stale. The only real upside was the coffee, which is now the only thing Ill go into a Dennys for. One of the two managers was helpful, but the other seemed too into his own she-male identity to care (not a critique on his lifestyle, but on his lack of professionalism - especially as a manager). This was one of the better Dennys locations, so Im compelled to think the entire chain is now not worth visiting. If youre looking for a good breakfast in Camarillo, try the Waypoint Café right on the Camarillo Airport runway. Much better food, and EVERY staff member there cares about your experience.

Panda Express
199 W Ventura Blvd, Camarillo, CA 93010, United States
I arrived at the restaurant at 8:40pm on 7/26. There were no entrees other than 3 or 4 pieces of shrimp. I was told that they were cooking some and it would be ready shortly. After waiting for the food to be ready I ordered the only thing available, the orange chicken and last 3 shrimp. When I went to order a beverage, I was told that there was no ice. After eating some of my meal I found a hair in the chicken. I went up to the counter and told an employee (Sara) that I had found a hair in my food. She said, What?! Show me, as if she didnt believe me. I showed her the hair in the chicken and she laughed at me and said that was my hair from my beard. I told her that it was stuck in the breading and was clearly not my hair. She called the manager over (Brenda) and she offered to replace the food. I commented that there were no other entrée options and that was the reason I ordered what I ordered. She offered to have something made for me, however I did not have any more time to waste as I was on my lunch break and had to get back to work. I kindly asked for a refund which was begrudgingly given to me minus the cost of the beverage with no ice. Sara then chimed in telling me that I could have just left and nobody made me stay and wait for the chicken. She then mocked me for asking for a refund. I asked what the problem was and commented on the fact that she is working in a customer service / retail environment and all I wanted was food without hair in it or my money back. (A reasonable request) Again she laughed and told me This isnt my only job. She continued to make comments under her breath as I walked out in awe of what had just transpired. As I write this, the following morning, I am still shocked at the behavior of that employee (Sara) and I sincerely hope appropriate action is taken to prevent this type of interaction in the future.
