Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
1866 Montebello Town Center, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
There was plenty of help inside the restaurant. We got NO service whatsoever from our waitress. Our soups were served and mine was room temperature, the garlic bread was warmer than my soup and my coffee. A different server brought my new hot soup out, and almost 10 minutes later my server brought out my new soup. Our server was spending more time up front than with us. I asked 3 different people for help. Our server never stopped by to ask our everything was. The only service we received was when it was time to pay.
San Isidro Mexican Restaurant
2327 Rosemead Blvd, South El Monte, CA 91733, United States
I do my best to be generous to locally owned business and I feel that 4 stars is plenty fair. If this had been a chain I would have given it a solid 2.Food: The food itself was amazing. Whoever the cook is here does a great job. The variety is extensive and flavorful. Best cooked octopus (Pulpo) in Los Angeles in my opinion.Service: Pretty much all the staff speak Spanish only but they are very friendly and patient. If you need something specific, they can make it work even with a language barrier. They are attentive and helpful. Great service.Atmosphere: This is where this place loses me. Despite the great food and service; this place is LOUD. It was so loud, I actually downloaded a noise detection app and it registered this place at 120 decibels at times and regularly at 100dbs. (About as loud as a chainsaw or airplane taking off). This was from the stereo speakers around the restaurant. Normally I dont like live bands, but I was relieved when one showed up and they turned down the loud music for them. I dont know if the owners here are deaf, but if they werent before, they surely are now. I couldnt think or eat with how LOUD this place was. Geez.Overall: Get your food to go and save yourself your ears bleeding and have a great meal at home.

If you had trouble finding this place, ** it is on the McDonalds side (not the samwoo side).Came here for lunch with my friend on a weekend day just as they were opening and the place was not busy at all. This was my first time at this location (having been to one in another city). The staff greeted us in a welcoming fashion and explained how it worked - you grab a clear bowl and tongs from inside the cool fridge (yay for keeping things clean!), then grab anything you want from the items bar — then they weigh it and cook it either in broth of your choice or the dry stir fry version. You do need a 1 lb minimum food order- which is about $14 per pound of ingredients (all are the same size). We tried both the dry pot and the soup base (ordered the mushroom since I didn’t want spicy - and it was flavorful but light). All the flavors were great and they keep their sauces in a covered area too. The inside has numerous tables small and large for you to sit at.ONLY downside is that Ingredients bar - only has Chinese labels (none in English).Drinks: by default you get water but also has a fridge for you to pay for bottled/can Chinese herbal teas and soft drinks.Service: food came out fairly quickly since we were the first in line, but throughout our meal the staff kept checking on us to see if we needed anything else.Definitely recommend this place! :)Parking: FREE lot and free 2 hr street parking. Because this is shared with other restaurants you might have a tough time with parking here during peak hours and on weekends. If you have ordered too much and need to take this home, you get a to-go container and a nice reusable tote bag for your food.
Lamb Lamb Meat Shop
8150 Garvey Ave # 102, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Wow, color me VERY impressed! At first I thought no way could the sliced meat be *that* good at the amazing price ($10 a pound as of June 22). Especially when Asian grocery stores sell sliced beef for no less than $12 - 15 per pound. But wow was I wrong. The quality is INCREDIBLE. I mean look at that picture, have you ever seen meat look so picturesque? It almost looks like a movie prop.I came home late and cooked up a couple of slices just to taste and was floored. So good. Sooo tender. And the fat melts and gives such a delicious flavor.Im so used to the cheap cuts from the grocery stores where the meat is tough and fat is chewy. Im so glad we found this place -- I finally have a good, affordable place to get meat for my cooking. Hands down the best Ive ever had. AND the best price too. They sell a ton of stuff like organs and the rest if thats your thing. I may try one day, but Ill be stocking up on the sliced meat in the meantime.(They take card / cash and was told they take EBT too)
Sunrise Noodle House
3219 San Gabriel Blvd, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
This is a Shantou family run restaurant. They speak English, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and some Mandarin.Their Hainan Chicken Rice (the rice is cooked with chicken broth, come with choice of house made dipping sauce) and the Spicy Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup are the signature dishes on the menu along with some Cantonese and Vietnamese favorites: shrimp wonton in egg-noodle soup, deep-fried spring egg rolls, pan-fried daikon / radish cake, and fried rice dishes. The fish balls are fresh but are not chewy enough. They serve complimentary dessert. The taro soup with tapioca and coconut cream is tasty. The parking is at rear, suffice for this 48- seat capacity restaurant.
La familia comida mexicana
2123 San Gabriel Blvd, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
This little spot doesnt look like much. In fact it reminded me of the in-home restaurants in Mexico. There is indoor and outdoor seating with decent parking. If you go during lunch hour, youll catch people rushing in and out for something good to eat. They offer complimentary chips and salsa. (The salsa is pretty dang good) They offered 1 refill if you choose a foundation drink. I got an Burrito Mojado de Asada. It was NICE AND BIG. Just all plump and ready to max out my stomach. The side of sour cream and guacamole was the icing on the cake... or the sour cream and guacamole to a buritto. It made the whole meal much better. An addition not many restaurants I visit do. The staff is absolutely friendly and you can tell their customers love this little spot. In fact while we were eating, la regular insisted they stay open later to accommodate for dinner. With their 3 staff members handing it all, it makes sense they close a little early. I was told the Huevos Rancheros are REALLY GOOD here too. So I am heading back soon to give them a try for breakfast.
Pho Ha Long
8036 Garvey Ave, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Got delivery before when this place was called Pho Thanh. Cheapest pho combo ($11) in the 626!!! And they accept credit card! Dont come expecting the best. But for its price, its a steal!! Quality isnt bad. Its not overly salty, msg or food coma or extremely thirsty after. Thats more than what I can say for many other places.$11 Combo Pho (Dac Biet). Large on portion. I evenade a note for myself to add an extra order of broth but forgot.$9 Hen and Rice (Cam Ga Ro Ty). Rice was a bit like sticky rice for some reason. But the chicken was super tender and filled with flavor.$5 Spring Roll (Bi Cuon 2 rolls). Was okay. Their peanut sauce was overly fishy (fish sauce), thick and probably not for me but not bad for others.Ive only ever had takeout from this place as Pho Ha Long, and Pho Thanh.
Happy Buddha Kitchen
5551 Rosemead Blvd, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
This is the only vegan Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The dining area is neat and very clean. There are plenty of parking. The menu offers a good selection of rice dishes and pho noodles. The soup is as good as the regular pho soup. Their spring rolls is a must order - the best above all vegan and regular Asian restaurants in SGV.4.5 stars. 0.5 star off for the annoying background music.
Medan Kitchen
8518 Valley Blvd STE 102, Rosemead, CA 91770, United States
Ever since I tried their food, I have been constantly checking their instagram account to see what menu that they have for the weekends. They kinda rotate the menu and update it on their instagram. My husband and I really enjoy every single dish we have here. Theyre pretty authentic and bold, just like how Indonesian food should be. Price wise, theyre cheaper than the other Indonesian restaurants around where we live in West L.A. They have a good variety of prepacked main dishes as well as Indonesian street snacks. They also have a small Indonesian grocery store. Theres a microwave and some tables outside if you want to eat your food right away. In short, this place is definitely worth a visit!
Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House
5728 Rosemead Blvd #107, Temple City, CA 91780, United States
This is an AYCE restaurant with 4 price range menus, mainly focusing on Wagyu hot pot. Although the time limit is one and a half hours, the food is served very quickly, so you have enough time. We chose the sukiyaki and tomato soup base. The wagyu beef was very tender, the seafood was fresh, and the Japanese side dishes tasted good too! There are many service staff with very good attitudes. They patiently introduce the menu. The food is served very quickly. Empty plates are collected at any time. It is very clean and tidy. They often come to ask if they want to add more dishes or drinks. This is a very good restaurant!
