Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
1780 Challenge Way, Sacramento, CA 95815, United States
Im rating 2 (for the Waiters rude behavior), food was good at Olive garden : Sacramento location, but the waiter was rude, when we skipped the appetizer and wanted to order soup first, he started explaining that soup is not the appetizer (everyone knows that), and his behavior was always like treating us as though we were visiting the restaurant for the first time, i forgot to get his name. Olive garden management - please request your staff to be kind and not be rude to customers, even though i wanted to visit the restaurant again, i wouldnt do this location, just for the waiters rude behavior.

As always the service as restaurants such Olive Garden is always phenomenal. However, I believe the menu is very misleading. I despise chicken and ordered the one soup that does not specify chicken as an ingredient. When the soup came and I took a couple sips, I was absolutely disgusted and didn’t touch another things on the table. Ever since, I haven’t been to Olive Garden since it makes me sick to think about that experience here.

Bradshaws Sandwich Shoppe
3591 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827, United States
Seriously good sandwiches. Ill admit I was skeptical after visiting the first time seeing that the prices were quite high ($14 for an 8-inch sandwich), but I found myself craving the sandwich again after a week. Ive been back once every 1-2 weeks since. Its clear the bread is very fresh and high quality (soft inside but nice, chewy, but not tough crust), the sauces are unique and flavorful, and the meats are quality and cooked right. Also, very cool because they have Stubborn brand sodas, so even the soft drinks are a touch above the average youd find at chain sandwich shops.Additionally, the customer service is awesome. The folks working the register and making the sandwiches are quick, extremely polite, helpful, and knowledgeable, and seem happy to be working there. I hope this is a real indication of them enjoying working there, cause its hard to fake/force. I believe I also got to meet the owner (or maybe manager?) when I went today. He was very nice too and I heard him talking to another customer saying he was trying to get to know the names of the regulars more. Its always cool to see a business owner or manager invested and active and not just managing from afar.I do wish the price was a tad lower, but I cant knock it down a star just for that, as everything else is awesome. (The rewards program essentially equates to 10% back, so that helps too I suppose). However, still waiting on those large soda cups to come in ;) then I can stop getting to go drinks from the gas station next door.

THAI - The House of Authentic Ingredients
4701 H St, Sacramento, CA 95819, United States
Friday, 2/25/2022 - Went to T.H.A.I. - The House Of Authentic Ingredients restaurant for dinner with friends. Its located on H Street in midtown Sacramento right at a corner. You cant miss it. At least i didnt. ;) Luckily, there was an open spot right next to the restaurant that I was able to park in. Yay!! Upon arrival (in the dark):Pros:1) cute restaurant. Nice atmosphere.2) we made reservations so didnt have to wait long to get seated inside.3) waiter came and took our drink orders right away. He was very nice and talkative.4) our drinks came out and he gave us time to look over the menu. Drinks were good. The Coconut Empire drink was very good.5) we order a few dishes and appetizers. Took some time to receive it. But once the food came out, presentation was nice.6) it was a nice restaurant, not too loud, we were able to hear each other and catch up.7) restaurant was clean. Utensils, cups, napkins, plates were all clean.8) there are 2 bathrooms. One stall in each. Its for male/female. The one I went to was a little dirty.9) bit pricey for dinner. But there are other dishes you can order.10) didnt have to pay to park. Yes!!!!11) I asked our waiter to see if hell take a photo of us and he kindly did. Very nice.12) we asked for to-go boxes and we got it.Cons:1) our waiter didnt really check on us. But he was nice.2) salad was very salty. Calmari was over cooked. Salmon wasnt flavorful at all. But if you slather it with the orange-yellowish sauce, it tasted better. Chicken in tom yum soup was on the chewy side.3) bathroom was a little dirty.4) its on the pricier side. Conclusion:I like this restaurant. It was small and cute. Easy to hear one another. Servers were all nice and accommodating. Parking wasnt bad. They have seating outside but I dont recall seeing any heaters outside to keep the patrons there warm. Foods were on the pricier side for dinner. Some of the dishes we got werent that good, but presentation was pretty. Try this place if you havent yet.

Pho Bac Hoa Viet
3110 Bradshaw Rd, Sacramento, CA 95827, United States
Hands down the best pho in Sacramento. Been coming here for years. Excellent friendly staff, excellent food. I know that there is a restaurant worker shortage everywhere right now, and even still service is so fast and friendly. Get the vermicelli bowl or the spring rolls if you arent in the mood fro soup, you wont be disappointed. Got a whole tray of egg rolls for our group, and that was bomb.

Panera Bread
901 Howe Ave, Sacramento, CA 95825, United States
Fail. My visit to Panera Bread on Howe Ave.in Sacramento wasn’t the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant, but I thought it worthy of a comment and a review.I placed my order without specifying I wanted to eat in the the restaurant. Nothing was said about takeout. They used to give you a number to place on your table and bring the food to you when it was ready, but no longer. If I was expected to pick up my food when it was ready, I expected to hear my name called out or somehow be notified that my order was ready. My wife happened to notice our order packaged to-go sitting on the pick-up counter as she came back from the restroom. Apparently the restaurant was content to let the food sit on the counter all afternoon until someone claimed it. Surely, they don’t expect a customer to wait at the pick-up counter while the food is being prepared. The soup had cooled by that time, and the staff gladly replaced it. I asked for a bowl to put it in, but they had run out of clean bowls. I didn’t ask for a replacement for the hot sandwich but it had cooled, too.I don’t understand why the restaurant would rather replace an order instead of notifying a customer who is in the restaurant to pick it up when it’s ready, but they are free to run their restaurant as they please; just don’t raise your prices because your expenses are too high.Other minor annoyances:(1) There were no napkins available for customers to take. My wife had to get up and go to the counter to ask for napkins. Now I know to ask for them when I order.(2) The drink dispenser was clear on the opposite side of the restaurant from the order counter; they couldn’t have been further apart. Now, it’s only a few extra steps but wouldn’t you think they would be closer? Isn’t the first thing you do after you place your order is get your drink—even before you look for a table? If this is unintentional, it’s just poor design; if it’s intentional, why? It doesn’t make sense if they want you to have to walk past all the other stations first. To be fair, I suspect part of the problem is difficulty with staffing—having to use untrained and inexperienced workers. Still, it’s aggravating for the customer.Sorry for such a long post. I hope management actually reads these reviews and not just use them as a way for customers to vent their frustrations.

Thai Canteen
1501 16th St Ste109, Sacramento, CA 95814, United States
I visited this restaurant a few days ago at the recommendation of my brother who had ordered food delivery from this place prior. We were leaving for a long trip over seas and we’re excited for a yummy final family dinner. The service was great, and the cashier was very sweet. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. We ordered four items: soup, a minced chicken salad, noodles, and a beef curry. We asked for mild spice because my brother had said that when he has ordered medium in the past it is always super spicy(and we normally love spice). The food had zero spice at all and the chicken was very dry with no flavor. The soup had an odd sweet flavor and again, very dry chicken. The beef ‘curry’ was a few pieces of rubbery beef piled with a big lump of brown peanut sauce, on top of a huge pile of uncooked spinach. It did not look like a curry at all and there had been no mention of spinach in the description. The noodles were acceptable, and the only thing that had at least some flavor. We ordered family style and four plates and ended up paying around $72. The portions seemed pretty small…no leftovers at all. Overall it was just super disappointing especially for the price. We should have said something but were just so hungry by the time all the food came out.It seems like this place has pretty good reviews, and like I said my brother had eaten their food before through delivery…so I’m not sure if they got a new chef or something, but I wanted to warn anyone who might be reading the reviews like I did. :(

Panera Bread
3571 N Freeway Blvd Suite 101, Sacramento, CA 95834, United States
Ive been to enough Panera Bread locations to justify their sandwiches, soups, and salads. And considering they have been good but not great tells me they have been middle of the totem pole when it comes to their food, quality, and service. They are high above fast food but definitely not gourmet dining by any means. The location I am reviewing is their North Natomas restaurant.Located at The Promenade at Sacramento Gateway outdoor shopping center, this particular Panera Bread has been in business dating back to the mid-2000s. Since then, a ton of businesses have opened in the surrounding areas as it is a very high volume retail and restaurant hub for patrons residing in the North Natomas neighborhood of Sacramento. The easiest way to find this Panera is that it shares the same parking lot as anchor stores Target, Barnes & Noble, and Old Navy. During my visit which was the afternoon of Sunday 5/8/2022, there was ample parking and very little customers since I arrived around 3:15pm.Since I was fairly hungry, I ended up ordering the You Pick Two. This consisted of 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 salad, and a side. I went with their Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich, a Strawberry Poppyseed salad, and an apple as my side of choice. As many people know, the inside of Panera Bread is cozy, inviting, and spacious. This location has a fireplace, fast Wi-Fi, a wide selection of teas, a self-serve fountain drink station, and lots of seating including booths and tables. After ordering, you are given a buzzer when your food is ready. My entire combo lunch only took about 6 minutes from the time I ordered until I got my food. Overall, my sandwich was delicious but they put more BBQ sauce, onions, and cheese than actual chicken inside. No biggie but it was still quite good. I definitely loved the salad as they gave me a very sizable amount. Fresh strawberries, mandarin oranges, blueberries, and toasted pecans really made this salad sweet, crunchy, and savory.Again, having gone here enough lets you know what to expect. I havent had a bad meal in my 3 dozen visits at their various locations. Their bread is a winner here as I love the freshness and quality. Prices are on the higher end of the spectrum as many delis charge less for more food. Of course with the rapid increase in food prices (as of 2022), this is something we are expecting much more, especially at chain restaurants. With that said and done, I am giving the Natomas Panera Bread a respectable four-star rating.

I was really disappointed with the service I got here. My family told me great things about it but me and my party of 7 had a difficult time. It was a fairly busy so we didnt mind the long waits. Fast forward to the end our dinner we ask for separate checks. None of our orders were complex in any way. When she brought back the separate receipts we placed our cards neatly so she wouldnt get confused. She came and picked it up. I watched her throw the tab down. So I really hoped none our receipts were mixed. 5-10min later she comes back because she was lost and confused. She asked to retake our orders we said yes. She took our orders again. She gave us our cards back so she can re print the receipts. We get the receipts, and 4 out of the 7 of us were being charged for things we didnt eat. It was beyond ridiculous. We try and wave her over to tell her about the mistake. We ended waiting about 10min. Finally she comes back we respectfully tell her the mistakes. It was clearly to see she was getting frustrated with the situation. She retakes the 4 orders. This time around every thing seemed good. So organized our debit cards and gave her the tab again. By this time we were just ready to leave the restaurant but she makes another mistake. I WAS CHARGED TWICE FOR THIS 51 DOLLAR MEAL. I kindly told her there is a problem I was charged twice enough was enough we all suggested after the THIRD mistake she needed to get her manager. So to solve the problem the manager voided all of our payments. And we had to repeat the process. In all honesty I never had a problem like this at any restaurant I really wish it could have gone a lot smoother.

Overall, a clean restaurant with decent sandwiches. I like to get the grilled cheese and tomato soup to go. You get croutons for the soup, and two pieces of bread.
