Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
1891 Ventura Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
Service was just terrible. Went there recently because we didn’t feel like a heavy meal that night but were in the mood for breadsticks. Got the unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks with intent to also get a dessert. I know we weren’t splurging but Olive Garden is known for its salad and breadsticks and this is a legit meal option, so I think we still deserved service. We were sitting in a section that only had two occupied tables. The other table was a slightly larger party and they got the server’s near exclusive attention. We had to flag her down to get the refills to our “unlimited” soup. (We only got one refill, btw. It’s not like we were taking advantage. And, yes, we were very polite.) Had to ask for more breadsticks after being brought more soup, and it seemed as though we’d asked for something unreasonable. Our second round was stale, like day old ones had been reheated and a little burned, and a smaller amount. Never got more salad or drinks. Server wouldn’t even look at us while serving the - again - *one* other table. It was not busy at all but I would’ve needed to stand up and shout to be served, which is ridiculous. Eventually, we just wanted to leave. Paid on the table top machine, no dessert, and just left without the server even noticing. Of course I left a decent tip because restaurant owners put the onus on us to pay their employees in this country, when they’re meant to manage the profit from us paying for our food to do that, but I did so begrudgingly. Second time I’ve had horrible service at Olive Garden seemingly because I wasn’t spending enough money. The previous time, the server actually scoffed and asked my friend and I if that was all we were going to order. (Soup and salad for lunch.) When we said yes, she actually rolled her eyes and barely served us the rest of the time. Thought it was a fluke, now thinking it might be a consistent policy to not waste time on people not spending enough. Don’t have it on the menu if it’s a problem. And everyone deserves a little respect.

Thai on Ventura
17544 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91316, United States
We found this restaurant just by chance and saw the Yelp reviews, which motivated us to try it.The restaurant itself is small and they made the best of the limited space. Nevertheless the atmosphere is cozy, nice soft jazz music is playing in the background and it’s absolutely clean. The service is very friendly. The menu offers a big choice of different Thai food. I think everyone can find something to please their palate. We ordered chicken Satay as an appetizer. The chicken meat was deliciously flavored & juicy. The TOM KHA SEAFOOD SOUP(Coconut soup with mixed seafood, lemon grass broth, kaffir lime leaves, lime juice, coconut milk, mushrooms and fresh chili) was served in a flaming bowl to keep it hot. I ordered it medium spicy, which was quite hot enough for me. The taste of the broth was absolutely delicious, and it was loaded with succulent chunks of white fish, mussels and more shellfish. I loved it!My husband ordered PAD THAI (stir-fried rice noodles in special sauce with egg, bean sprouts, roasted peanuts, and green onions) with chicken. It was a huge portion, well flavored & delicious. The price, quantity and quality relationship is very fair for each dish!We will surely come back and try more of these delicious dishes.

Urbane Cafe
4960 Telephone Rd # 105, Ventura, CA 93003, United States
Today on Saturday December 12 at the Urbane Cafe in Ventura I ordered a Gourmet Grilled cheese sandwich and a bbq Tri tip sandwhich without the coleslaw and a coke and lemonade. Drove home only to find out instead of bbq tri tip they gave me a southwest chicken. How anyone can get tri tip and chicken mixed up I dont know how. Also mind you they werent even busy it was dead at the location when we got there at 731pm. I called to let them know they gave me the wrong order I spoke with Rafa who was supposedly the manager and he tells me what did I want them to do. Well I told him I want what I ordered and I drove back to get the correct order. I drive the 10 min there told them Im here to pick up my correct order which I do get. Then I tell them how hard is it to get the order right ones red meat and the other is white meat. The guy at the register says something under his breathe as I was leaving. So I walked back in and said I would also like a free lemonade since they missed uo my order. The manager Rafa who was at the register said that they cant do that but he can give me a chip or a cookie and I said no I would like a free lemonade and he then said again that they arent allowed to do that. Now isnt he the manager is there a rule that says u cant do that. No he made it his personal choice to not provide a free lemonade because of my remark about how hard was it to get the right sandwhich and it showed his name on the receipt. Now this young millennial needs to go to school and get a lesson on customer service. So I called the Urbane Cafe in oxnard to ask if they arent allowed to give free lemonades and to my surprise she said if they messed up an order it would have not been a problem to provide a free lemonade on their behalf. Now thats great customer service and I usually order from the Urbane Cafe in oxnard but went to the one in Ventura since I was dropping off stuff for my mother who was on life support for 3 weeks fighting Covid and now at a rehabilitation home. I would never go to that Urbane Cafe if their managers dont know a thing or two about great customer service. You made a mistake own up to it just because you got called out for it and so u took it personally and refused and made your own personal choose to not give me the free lemonade out of spite. If you cant handle it get a different job. Oh and I never got an apology for the mistake that he made.

This is a nice place to spend some time, meet with someone or get work done—nice ambience and not too loud. But something weird has been going on with the food for the last couple of months or so. Nearly every order I place here comes out wrong. If it's just a single pastry, it's fine... but pastas sandwiches come out with half the ingredients missing or switched out for something else. It's started to be almost funny to lift the wrong bread to find the right meat for the sandwich I ordered, but absolutely no other ingredients. Just some meat on the wrong type of bread. The most common missing ingredient seems to be cilantro—anything that's supposed to come with cilantro will absolutely never be served with cilantro. Drinks are also hard to come by—a pick-up order that includes a drink is almost as likely to have no cup as no cilantro. It's a close battle. The most recent baffling mix-up was a Baja Mac & Cheese with no modifications at all. That was the only item in the order. Instead, I received a mac & cheese with an alarming amount of bacon on top and nothing else. These orders wherein maybe 20-30% of the elements are correct and the rest either missing or substituted with something else have happened to me at least 5 times now. On two of these occasions I was offered a free pastry as an apology, but the rest of the time I just get confusion, and a little extra wait time while someone remakes the order. The corner of my mind that occasionally entertains wild conspiracy theories sometimes asks whether it's personal. Does someone here just really want to cause me mild inconvenience? But that only seems as likely as the theory that someone putting together these orders just really hates cilantro and will not touch the stuff under any circumstances. Not impossible, but also not probable. It's a shame because the building itself is very nice, and close to my workplace. And I'm not a very picky person, either. If I were, I wouldn't have continued returning to a business that has gotten my order wrong this many times. But for the prices, I'm not really inclined to come here anymore. At least not for a while—maybe this is just one very confused employee, and everything will go back to normal once that person has moved on. Who knows. But I feel fairly confident that as it stands, anything more complicated than putting a pastry in a bag is not going to be right on the first try.

I was not feeling well encouraged at all with the other bussinesses who were unprofessional in their business relations with me during my visit in the pacific view mall this morning especially when I was trying to get back with my cell phone service provider metro pcs who I had purchased several devices there from over the past few years, but its customer representative service provider she was not handling her customer service position very patiently and really trying not to be reasonable for the urgent need I had as my last device I recently purchased thru her assistance over the past few months was stolen as I had to go out to a certain location to get to atm to withdraw from my debit card a transaction!!!! But I left it either here in this hotel room I am presently at or perhaps had it with me at the moment I was at this atm !? Which I dont think I had it with me at the atm for I last recall I did see it on the bed here in the room before leaving!!! But as I was just in a hurry to get the money from the atm some blocks away from this hotel?! As I was starting to Wonder about this while after retrieving my transaction from the near by bank atm across from where I was at a city park on a park family outdoor table facing quite a distance away from where I got my transaction from this morning I did see others who were also around the atm as I was overlooking the area but wasnt sure if I had my tablet with me while I was there!!!!?? So being in a hurry to get back here to the hotel room hoping that I had left it here!!!? It was not anywhere to be found!??!!So I immediately thought to just go back over to this atm where I was this morning but after a few minutes walk away from this hotel, after reaching There nothing was There either!!!!!! So as I was just wondering again if I had placed it in side of its original box for safe keeping I then hurriedly rushed back to this hotel room but as I then searched

Worst restaurant and service. Take your business elsewhere. Took 15 minutes for our orders to be taken, since no waiter was available. Soup that I ordered was never served and waiter forgot about it. Simple cucumber drink took 10 minutes to be served because they didnt know how to make it. Very unpleasant, unprofessional service from waiter and all staff.

Ordered the shrimp and it was horrible, shrimp over cooked and pasta under cooked and cold. My girlfriends chicken was over cooked and over salted, the potato soup came with its own skin. Staff was careless and did nothing, the place was dirty, and worst of all it was not even busy, horrible place and an embarrassment to the chain . Corp needs to hire a new staff that has a desire to serve good food done right. Just pass on by this dive of a food establishment, there are many others on the block. Very bad form this place really needs new management! I would give it negative stars if I could. Oh and by the time we got back to our hotel my kids had upset stomachs, they had a pizza. Must be since a didn't see the LA county “A” in the front of the establishment, maybe there is something really wrong as this place.

California Pizza Kitchen at Tarzana
18800 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356, United States
I love the California Pizza Kitchen. I went to the one on Tarzana with 3 companions. We all had something very different to eat it, when companion had soup and a small salad when companion had a pasta dish another companion had a pizza and I ate a salad. I should comment that I ordered a half salad as I know the sizes of the salads at California Pizza Kitchen the half salad covered an entire dinner plate. Everything was fresh tasty and serve promptly. The waitresses are attentive and come back multiple times to refresh drinks. The restaurant is busy, and it can be hard to find a parking place. This is not unusual for California Pizza Kitchen, but you can always be assured that you will get something good to eat.
