Tofu King
713 W Duarte Rd #C, Arcadia, CA 91007, United States
I just wrote a review for Tofu King at Rowland Heights and gave it a 4-star, but I have to give 3-star for Arcadia one. Two restaurant are selling the same foods, almost the same quality. But compare the style and service, the Arcadia one is not as hospitable as the another. The owner and clerks were always Poker face, I always think is that possible because the food I ordered were too cheap? Its a pity I got such a treat and I love Taiwan so much. In my memory, Taiwanese are so kind and good mannered.

Young Dong Tofu
1311 S Baldwin Ave #B, Arcadia, CA 91007, United States
The Korean restaurant I used to eat more than 20 years ago, where I ordered barbecue and served seafood pancakes in a tofu pot, has been changed to another owner. Although the operators are all Koreans, the dishes have changed. I ate my favorite grilled beef short ribs and The spicy seafood tofu pot, the roasted beef short ribs are more tender, the pork is pretty good, and the assorted tofu pot has seafood and meat slices! Lots of ingredients and delicious! The side dishes are okay, but they don’t sell seafood pancakes or cantaloupe-flavored chewing gum. I miss them so much!

Omma Tofu House
1220 S Golden W Ave F, Arcadia, CA 91007, United States
Update on 9/13/22First time ordering my food to go and thought the transaction couldn’t have been smoother. Ordered via phone, given an ETA of 15 mins and food was ready when I arrived. Not only was the food delicious, but it was packed really well and made it home nice and warm. I liked the banchan packs too. Four delicious sides to go with my jajangmien, beef tofu and kalbi. All really good and perfectly satisfied my cravings. They even followed instructions perfectly as my GF doesn’t like green onions and they were left off of both the kalbi and tofu soup.————Probably closer to 4.5 stars, but will round up for the great service and free tea. Food was good, really good especially for a food court, but had sit down restaurant prices so expected a little more.Kalbi ribs had great flavors, but were a bit chewy in parts. Not bad, in fact very good, but just a fact - 4 starsTofu soup was some of the best we’ve tried - 5 StarsCold noodles!had a great, but strong beef broth flavor. Not what I am used to, but good. 4.5 starsBanchan - very tasty seaweed salad, potato salad, fish cake, bean sprouts and Kim chi. Non of which my GF liked or can eat. 4 stars for me, 2 stars from her :)Service, free tea and water was 5 starsPrices were fair, but seemed high for a food court, so 4 stars from me there.Overall a great experience and someplace I want to go again. The location and casual seating allowed us to take our dog and explore a little while we waited.Pro tip - food is made to order so expect to wait at least 15-20 mins. Call ahead or explore the are while you wait. There are other restaurants, a watch repair shop, boba and other little shops in the court and in the shopping center to explore while you wait.

Located inside H Mart grocery store, Kazu Nori is truly a hidden gem. They serve various types of katsu and curry katsu in generous portions at a very affordable price. Kazu Nori has quickly become one of my go to food spots and I find myself going there quite frequentlyFOOD:What I Ordered: Cheese Katsu, Curry PorkCheese Katsu: Seeing pictures of the cheese katsu on the menu, I knew I had to try it. Mozzarella cheese wrapped in a thin layer of pork katsu, what more could you want This dish is made for a true cheese lover as its probably 80% mozzarella cheese, so be prepared for a cheese overload if youre planning to try this dish!Curry Pork: I was really excited to try the Curry Pork. Curry katsu is one of my favorite comfort foods and this place definitely fulfilled my cravings! I love how they package the curry on the side so that the pork stays nice and crispy! The curry is super flavorful and the pork is juicy and crispy. The perfect combination. When I received my food I had no idea how big the portions would be, especially for the curry pork. The curry pork was packed full of delicious pork katsu. Each meal comes with cabbage salad, miso soup, and rice. Talk about making your moneys worthLOCATION:This location of place is so perfect because you could go to H-Mart, place your order at Kazu Nori, do a bit of grocery shopping/ just explore the market, and come back to pick up your food once its done! XIANG JI
411 E Huntington Dr #101D, Arcadia, CA 91006, United States
Authentic Taiwanese beef noodle spot. Perfectly balanced soup with tender beef. It's right next to the famous Lan Zhou noodle house so it was honestly a little hard to find at first. But it's literally right next to it so it's easy to miss.We ordered the braised seaweed, egg, bean curd and garlic cucumber as a starter. We got the premium beef noodle and just a regular beef noodle. I would recommend the premium more just because it has some tendon on it so it makes it even chewier and for some reason the meat with tendon so much juicer and softer.I thought the soup base was very well balanced. Often times you can taste either the grossed pack more or the soy sauce but this one was right in the middle and hit the sweet spot. They also have the clear broth beef noodle so I will def try to get that next time as that is a little more difficult to perfect in flavor. We also go a side of stinky tofu which was also super good. For those risk takers out there this is Taiwans fermented tofu and it's def acquired taste. But for those who like stink tofu I would highly recommend it!

White Springs Cafe
18 N First Ave, Arcadia, CA 91006, United States
Wow! Walked in and was greeted with all smiles. Was looking for pad Thai. It’s a new restaurant called white cafe. It’s vegan style. I love tofu. Previously was trendy Thai.I ordered the pad Thai to go. As I waited they asked me if I would like to try Thai tea or coffee. I accepted a cup o Thai tea. Refreshing while waiting. The of Thai comes in a bowl container. I got home. Opened it and BAM! It was still piping hot. It was the best pad Thai I had in a very long time. Very flavorful. Can’t forget about that bowl!! that bowl was packed. I could barely finish it. I will be returning for sure and spreading the word.

Menya Hanabi - The Original Nagoya Mazesoba
733 W Naomi Ave Suite K, Arcadia, CA 91007, United States
Ive always wanted to eat here since I learned about it through social media a few months ago. Today, a couple of friends and I drove 40 miles from Long Beach to Arcadia through the rain to arrive at a restaurant that served food we were highly anticipating. It was sooooo worth the drive! We were kindly welcomed, the server was friendly, and the food was served fast. All three of us ordered the deluxe Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba. It was amazingly delicious. The breaking of the egg as I then watch the yolk melt into the meat before I stir it was satisfying. The flavors were full and it all worked well together. We also ordered broth on the side which complimented the dish very well with sips between every few bites. The appetizers were also delicious. We had the cold tofu with sesame oil and bonito flakes and Takoyaki. Both prepared our stomachs for what was to come.My friends and I vouch for this place and know for sure that today will not be our last visit.

Qin West Noodle
400 S Baldwin Ave Suite 2310, Arcadia, CA 91007, United States
I love this place but as someone from Wuhan I need to tell you this: DO NOT GET THE HOT DRY NOODLES 热干面!!!!! 1) Its way too soupy and nowhere near enough dry. 2) It needs A LOT more sesame paste. Hot dry noodles are supposed to be coated in the sauce. Qins version has a runny and thin sauce that is neither fragrant nor rich. 3) ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAVE PASTA NOODLES. Hot dry noodles use alkaline noodles the same thickness as spaghetti but it is NOT spaghetti. This is a poor reproduction from someone who has never had real Hot Dry Noodles. As someone who has had this almost every morning for years of my life, I tell you to steer away from this item and get something else. They have really great broth for their noodles and always give large portions which I love.If you want real 热干面, the best Ive had are the instant versions from Chinese supermarkets. Believe me, I wanted this to taste good SO badly.

Izakaya Tonchinkan
713 W Duarte Rd #H, Arcadia, CA 91007, United States
You must make a reservation in advance for dinner time. It is a very popular restaurant. I have eaten there once before and I like it very much. The salmon rice is generous and delicious. There is a lot of salmon roe and the rice is very fragrant. Wasabi octopus is our favorite appetizer. The raw octopus is very fresh and well seasoned. Thick-cut beef tongue is also a very popular dish. It is thick, tender and perfectly cooked. The fried tofu is large and affordable. Is Izakaya TOnchinkan a good choice for a get-together with friends or a family dinner? There are also many good sakes to choose from.
