Tofu House Korean B.B.Q.
5550 California Ave Ste 106, Bakersfield, CA 93309, United States
Finally a Korean restaurant in Bakersfield that matches the menu and quality of its LA counterparts. Although the soon tofu soup is not fore everyone, it has become one of my all time favorite dishes especially on a cold winter day. If you are feeling adventurous, try the seafood pancake. You will not regret it! The staff is very attentive and willing to answer any questions you may have. The Korean pop music videos playing on the TVs around the restaurant are pretty entertaining.

I recently visited Salad Sensations' new location on Heath and Stockdale road, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! My taste buds were treated to an explosion of flavors with their Pesto Chicken Sandwich - it was incredibly good, earning every bit of its five stars. The perfect blend of tender chicken, aromatic pesto, and fresh ingredients left me craving more.To accompany my meal, I indulged in their refreshing horchata, which perfectly complemented the savory flavors of the sandwich. Moreover, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional customer service. The staff at Salad Sensations went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience, adding an extra layer of satisfaction to my visit. If you're in the mood for delectable food and top-notch service, look no further than Salad Sensations. Asian vegan bistro
2217 Ashe Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93309, United States
I was thrilled to find this restaurant as I was passing through on a road trip. I highly recommend it. I ordered:1. Tofu Satay. Loved it and would definitely order again.2. Mongolian Beef. Very yummy. I am not a big fan of mock meats (try to stick to whole foods) but ordered it because it was recommended on Yelp. I really liked the seasoning.3. Napa cabbage stuffed with enoki mushrooms. I liked it and would order again but the sauce may not be for everyone. It has a unique flavor and quite a bit of garlic.Next time I come to/through Bakersfield, Ill definitely be back!
RADIO SANDWICH
1229 19th St, Bakersfield, CA 93301, United States
First off, this place is amazing! They make their bread in house, they try to source everything locally. Which means they are supporting other small businesses in Bakersfield. The prices are reasonably priced for amazing sandwiches that are made with so much love.My favorite sandwich to grab is the turkey cubanito. Its so delicious, I love the mustard seeds that pop in my mouth and the pickles in the sandwich compliments the sandwich so much. You might ask your self its just a pickle. No not every pickle is created equally, the owner takes her time and makes sure she is putting things together that work harmoniously together. My other go to is the PBJB, so good! Perfect amount of jelly and peanutbutter with slices of bacon, it is to die for. Also their Mac and cheese! *chef kiss* their cookies are also so delicious! The cookie has pistachios, chocolate chips, topped with a bit of sea salt. The place is very cute and unique, the atmosphere is great and they are always playing music that fits the vibe. The people that work there as well as amazing and always so sweet and caring. If you have not gone to Radio Sandwich yet, what are you waiting for!?!? GO! AND SUPPORT THEM!!! You will understand why I feel the way I feel about them! Also dont be shy and talk to the staff! They will tell you so much about how they make their delicious sandwich! The Jane Sandwich has such a cute story behind it and you should ask. Everything is made with love and care.
Vida Eatery
4530 Stine Rd, Bakersfield, CA 93313, United States
Cant believe I havent checked out Vida Eatery out before! For a local vegan I am almost ashamed of myself. This place is fully vegan with such a delicious sounding menu. I have to say, the food was so good!I called to place an order because I had questions - first time I was placed on hold and hung up after 10 mins of waiting. Called again, no answer. Called a third time and someone finally picked up. The girl I spoke to was very nice and took time to list out options for me. Unfortunately I was told my first desired option of brunch purepa no longer comes with the scrambled tofu so I got the burger arepa instead. Good thing I called because the online ordering system doesnt reflect this. I was told food would be ready in 10 - nice and quick! When I arrived I was told pickle fries were not available so I had to pick a new side. I chose regular fries .. but wasnt refunded the $3 upcharge for the unavailable pickle fries. I picked out some baked goodies (the case was full of delicious options), showed my free ice cream scoop check-in offer, and my order was rung up. Easy peasy.Food:Burger arepa ($16) - so tasty! Also gluten-free.Plantain side (included in above price) - really good, only 5 pieces of plantains though...Gorilla burger ($20) - my husband thoroughly enjoyed it! I had a bite, pretty darn good and a unique option.Fries side (shouldve been included..) - I saw a review where someone said these are the best fries ever... Not at all. Pretty standard.Desserts:Brookie ($6) - so dry, not good at all. I thought the chocolate chip layer would be bigger, its very heavy brownie.Peanut butter bar ($5) - pretty good, not the best Ive ever had but enjoyed it.Smores cookie ($5) - favorite from the desserts I tried. Its big, super chocolatey, and has marshmallows throughout in addition to a large one in the middle. Would get this again for sure.Chocolate PB donut ($1) - not the best donuts ever (maybe even day old??) but cant complain much with that price tag!Scoop of PB&J ice cream (free w check-in) - the PB ice cream was tasty, not much jelly add-ins but there was something white that is maybe supposed to be bread for a PB&J sandwich?? The other available flavor options were coconut and vanilla so of course I went with the fun one.Summary: will certainly be back to try more menu items! Learned my lesson with some of the desserts and will be more picky about those. Its a bit pricey for what it is so wont be a regular occurrence but more of an occasional treat. Dining in would be nice one day - they have indoor and shaded outdoor seating.

Sushi Time
4715 Coffee Rd Suite D, Bakersfield, CA 93308, United States
Our family visited this place for the first time and we were a little worried about at first. A restaurant that only has four people on a Friday night seems to be a bad sign. I was totally wrong. This restaurant was great. Staff was friendly. They treated us like family. They pushed tables together without us asking. We were served right away. The food tastes as good as it looks. They carry Coca Cola soft drinks which is great. Here is a pleasant surprise... if you like tea.. you must try the green tea. I have never tasted a green tea as good as this. I wont tell you what it tastes like because I want you to try it and be surprised just like I was. This tea was unique and very well balanced with the meal. I have four children and they all enjoyed the sushi. The Galaxy roll, the Vegas roll, and the desserts were all pleasers!! This restaurant is not just the simple Mochi ice cream for dessert. They had tempura cheesecake!! deep fried CHEESECAKE!! I know what youre thinking, deep fried, but remember, tempura is not heavy. The dessert was perfect in presentation, texture, temperature and flavor. If you do not like chocolate, ask them to either go easy on the syrup or to skip it. The restaurant is well decorated so you feel relaxed. It has a clean, sharp, and elegant atmosphere without seeming pompous or over exaggerated. Overall, and I dont say this without it being true, this location needs to be more busy. Its difficult to tell you this because I dont want this location to get packed, but I dont think I should keep my experience to myself. It wouldnt be fair to you and have you miss this... I honestly dont like the name of the restaurant, but only because it doesnt do it justice. The relaxed atmosphere and casual name are however in tune with our cost of the visit. Total for family of six, with dessert and a couple of to go items (including our extra tea) was around $130. The smiling kids, wonderful food, and great service was all worth it. Thank you Sushi Time, well be back. Dont go anywhere.
K Pocha & Restaurant
6401 White Ln, Bakersfield, CA 93313, United States
Being a Korean family ourselves and lovers of authentic Korean cuisine, we were excited to have a new Korean restaurant in town to try. We were so impressed with our experience!! The restaurant was small but very clean and neatly decorated, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu was huge, with everything from popular Korean snack foods and appetizers, to authentic traditional dinner dishes, all very similar to what we have had in Seoul. The banchan (side dishes) were so fresh and tasty, and refilled upon request. Their kimchi in particular was to die for! For our party of five, we ordered the bossam pork (lettuce wrapped pork belly), spicy seafood hot pot stew, beef and potato hot pot stew, and pork bulgogi to share; we all ate until we were stuffed and had leftovers to take home for dinner the next day. We can't wait to come back again soon and try more of their delicious dishes, and recommend this restaurant highly!!

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. My go to is the drunken noodles with tofu and the green curry with tofu. They are delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is kept clean.
