The Restaurant Two Bunch Palms
67425 Two Bunch Palms Trail, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Essence Restaurant is located at Two Bunch Palms (a natural mineral spa & silent yoga/ therapy retreat.) The property offers natural hot springs; a place to unwind & heal ...away from the grind of the city. I am quite snobbish about where I dine; I really love Essence. I love the decor, the menu, the simplicity, the service, and the entertainment. The menu & dishes are highly suitable for vegans & vegetarians, and yet will not disappoint carnivores. One of the best restaurants Ive been to in & around Palm Desert.

ITS TASTE OF INDIA

Pricey yet very flavorful. We usually order the Lamb Biryani with mild spice & the vegetarian Navratan Korma with medium spice. The Aloo Saag and Paneer Tikka Masala are very tasty too. The last times we went, the prices they were charging in the restaurant wasn’t reflective of the prices they have on their website. The staff can be a little rude sometimes too, try not to take it personally. They usually don’t give utensils for takeout, so ask for them if you need them. Lastly, for a place that has such flavorful entrees & savory items it surprises me that their desserts taste kind of bland. I was expecting more spices in their desserts, not really worth the $6. The rice pudding was small & both the desserts were just one-dimensionally sweet. That Navratan Korma is amazing though! So addicting!
Azure Palm Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa Oasis

I have visited Azure twice and have thoroughly enjoyed my time there immensely! The extraordinary facility is so well equipped it will blow your mind. The small restaurant offers a unique mix of vegetarian and carnivore selection. Its too bad that the restaurant closes at 7:pm.
The Cottage Too restaurant

A friend / neighbor took me here for breakfast. He is very picky so if he says its good, I expect it to be good. I was not disappointed! It was packed but we were seated right away and our waitress was attentive and gave us great service and fast! I had the vegetarian omelette and I had biscuits and gravy instead of toast with coffee. It was so much food, I took the biscuits and gravy home and had them later for dinner! The price could not be beat (even though my friend treated me!) I love the Hollywood decor and seeing all the vintage pictures of celebrities. I knew at first bite Id be back! Although it was packed we had no trouble finding a parking space in the parking lot behind the restaurant. The second time I went it was as perfect as the first time and this time I brought another friend / neighbor that had never been and he loved it too. I wasnt as hungry this time so I opted for the two egg breakfast with my eggs over easy. I know its very basic but it was delicious and the breakfast potatoes are excellent. I cant wait to go back again Im getting very hungry writing this review. I need to thank my friend Gary for bringing me to this little gem! Great food at great prices what more could a girl want?
Don Tacorriendo
13900 Palm Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
My favorite Mexican Restaurant in the desert! Located in Desert Hot Springs, next to Chevron. Published with a rave review in THE WALLSTREET JOURNAL JANUARY 2020!! Don is a kind, small business owner, who goes above and beyond to please his customers. He works in the kitchen and greets his customers 6 days a week! He serves authentic Mexican food. The Restaurant has a spanish style setting. Quick service, large portions and reasonable prices. He and his wife offer a variety of unique specialty dishes. This place brought me back to my Ensenada and Puerto Nuevo memories! Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Need I say more?? The pictures will speak for themselves!! Highly Recommend. ????? shooting stars!! ???

Had a vegetarian Taco salad just to my liking, and with the 3 super salsas, it was great. Generous portion, totally satisfying ? Would recommend to anyone going for a Mexican restaurant in the area!
Las Palmas Mexican Cuisine
11349 Palm Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Well let me start off by saying Im a local here in the valley, & DHS. Ive decided to try the same simple dish from a few different Mexican restaurants. And give an overall experience on food, service, environment & cleanliness. When I visited this restaurant I ordered two shrimp ceviche tostadas. They were prepared similar to what I have tried before however the shrimp did seem a little under cooked(I know this is how some people make it, & a lot of people like it that way. But this type of texture is definitely not for my pallet.) Although the ceviche was prepared a little different then my liking I still enjoyed it very much. Then why the 2⭐s you may be asking. Well the place was understaff and it was around lunch time, they had no water available to drink which meant we were forced to buy drinks(soda, juice) the server also forgot to mention that the water was off period, which meant no bathroom?. The environment was clean, very well lite and inviting. The server was also very nice and very attentive, but the mediocre tostadas did not allow me to see past the flaws. They do have a grade A in the window, dont know about you but I always look at a restaurant grade before eating there.
South of the Border
11719 Palm Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
This was the worst mexican food Ive eaten, my boyfriend and I got the south of the border burrito we had wanted it ChimiChunga style, I told he waitress with grilled chicken and grilled beef. I gone to Rocky Point Mexico for over 35 years and Arizona has a ton of Mexican Resturants, I know what good, great and excellent Mexican food is. Waitress comes out with an unfried burrito and she argues that we never said we wanted ChimiChungas, that was not true and she took it back with a slight attitude. ChimiChungas came I are a forth before my stomach started hurting, I knew Id had bad pork, the meat wasnt grilled and the so called chicken(pork) wasnt grilled it was cool in a garlicky sauce cause it tasted like garlicky pork. My boyfriend had two bites and was disgusted at the taste of the burrito. We were starving and hadnt eat but to small baskets of chips. The Manager was Rude And Argued with my boyfriend about the ChimiChungas and because we mostly me are the chips he said your paying. Now Id be outside trying not to be sick and was half the next day spent in the bathroom. The few times that we have had a problem with the meal the managers would correct it or not charge is. Unbelievably The Worst Mexican Restaurant, Worst Waitress, Worst Food. Boyfriend went and got a grilled Chicken burrito from Del Taco and said how delicious it was I couldnt eat. The key to finding a really good Mexican food place is ask or by how many Mexicans are eating there.
Two Bunch Palms
67425 Two Bunch Palms Trail, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Fairly upscale and historic spa resort. They have one large hot spring pool with several private tubs that can be fed by the hot springs water. The restaurant is expensive but serves excellent food for meat lovers and Vegetarians. A very relaxing and romantic place. Price per night is very fair.
Sunshine Caf
10805 Palm Dr, Desert Hot Springs, CA 92240, United States
Here’s where to get Delicious drinks and eats by the pool! Stayed here as a guest so when we got hungry it was easy to eat at this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Strong Bloody Mary and delicious Huevos Rancheros. At lunch we ordered a veggie sandwich but unfortunately they gave us a BLT, that was pretty gross as a vegetarian cuz we hate to have meat cooked for us in vein, but they made us a veggie sandwich fast. Overall the food was pretty good and service friendly.
