Nature Vegetarian Restaurant
1116 Franklin St, Oakland, CA 94607, United States
Watched an extremely miserable man (likely the owner/cook) chain smoke in front of the restaurant and litter multiple times within 45min. Throwing cigarettes butts and the entire package on the sidewalk. Helping trash the city of Oakland. Despite being a vegetarian restaurant they don’t seem to care much about the environment or the animals that have to live in their trash.

Enssaro Ethiopian Restaurant

I recently dined at Enssaro Ethiopian Restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. As someone who had never tried Ethiopian cuisine before, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing flavors and unique dining style. One aspect that stood out to me was the variety of options available, especially for vegetarians. It offers an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes, ensuring that everyone can find something to suit their taste. The veggie platter I ordered was a colorful assortment of lentils, greens, and other vegetables, all expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Millennium

One of the best date night vegan / vegetarian restaurant in Oakland area. This is type of restaurant in which you don’t know what you are eating but it always tastes fresh and yummy. Even their free freshly baked bread and spread tasted really delicious. Date with pistachio as appetizer was yummy. Risotto cake and tamales as main entree was great and enough serving size. We will definitely go again.

I used to come drink here with my friends all the time before Covid. Drink away at the patio. I stayed due to covid. I finally came back tonight, and wanted one drink on the patio around 7pm. I walked in the patio and it looked over full, and the door host shows up 30 seconds later to tell me its full. I say thats fine, I just want a drink I will wait. He says sure, you will be next up. Great I responded. He said I could even order a beer next door and drink right there, before my table. opens up. Yes, sounds like a plan i said, I was excited. So i wait about 5 minutes for a beer to go, which never took place, and more people start showing up. The host starts showing people to tables. I told the guy, from a distance, keeping it covid safe, hey I have been here before any of these people, he ignored me. He tables three people, and when he comes back I then I ask why I was ignored, I was next up in line. He then goes oh you want to be on the list? you want a drink? I said yes, what was our whole discussion for, and on what basis did you allow those three people to cut me. He had no response and it appeared to be a clear treating certain people with elite conditions verse treating people like second class citizen on the other. And then I told him I waited for five minutes for a beer to go which also never took place. He did care. It created such a bad energy, it made me not want to drink at this location. Thats bad customer service. Treat humans like humans.

By far the worst location in the Bay Area. Literally every time I come here, they don't have enough ingredients to make anything thing on the menu. I kid you not this has happened to me 3 times. They would blame short staffing so they couldn't prep but literally would let you wait for 15 mins in line without telling you this. Then they blamed the lunch rush. So today I came in at 10:19am to beat the so called lunch rush and guess what? They don't have any of the ingredients prepped again to make anything on the menu. They don't even have hot sauce. The worker claims they were locked out until 8am which I why they aren't ready. Not only that. They made me wait 10 minutes before even attempting to take my order. Wait a complete waste of my time. I blame management. This is by far my worst experience I've had trying to get a salad. What's worst they even had someone in from regional and she literally had no empathy.

I ordered the Veggie Dumplings, Sichuan Mushroom, Sichuan Tofu, and Veggie Fried Rice. The dumplings were tasty and the sauce was perfect. The tofu and mushroom were great with just the right amount of spice. The fried rice, however, lacked flavor. When I think of fried rice, I think of each morsel of rice coated and stir fried with a nice sauce. This was unseasoned rice stir fried in oil with veggies. I did appreciate the nicely cooked broccoli and the addition of mushrooms though.

Family owned eatery with delicious vegan pho! Most pho restaurants I’ve been to just have tofu and vegetable pho as the vegetarian/vegan option, but they have vegan beef and fish here! Definitely now my go-to Oakland pho spot.

Amazing Eritrean restaurant. Always a great meal, love vegetarian combo dish paired with either the chicken or lamb. Been coming here for over 10 years.

Binh Minh Quan

Located on the edge of downtown and Chinatown, this is a fairly sized restaurant. The menu is quite large and theres a small lunch menu. The service was fairly below average, although the food came out okay, there wasnt a check-up or anything. Pricing is alright.I got the #30, broken rice dish, which comes with rice, a little salad, and 2 items of your choice. I chose the tofu and vegetarian imperial rolls. Overall, this dish is just okay, I wanted to try something I havent before. The dish is very plain in nature, you get a side of the fish sauce so you have to figure something out for flavor.

Ikes Love & Sandwiches
2204 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612, United States
Wow! Just Wow! Took me a while to catch my husbands attention to get him to try this highly rated place. Finally, we decided we were trying it. The menu is fantastic, the service is fast (self serve at the counter) and staff is friendly. Whats the best part? They have a great vegetarian and vegan option - Kudos!!! We shared the Chippers Fave which came with tuna and avocado and the The Jeremy Stoppelman which had breaded eggplant-green pesto-habanero-tomatoes and provolone - we had both our sandwiches on the dutch crunch bread options. So many amazing bread options too. Now in a normal situation, everyone would think the tuna was the best one? Think again. My veg option was amazing!!! The tuna was great too but as any tuna sandwich it gets to you towards the end cause it is so heavy but oh so yummy though. We had half of each others and had half of our own order so both of us were able to finish 2 sandwiches but they were pretty big ones so if youre not really hungry then be ready to take leftovers, depending how heavy your sandwich is. You can always tell them to go easy on the toppings like mayo etc which definitely makes it heavy. But oh so fabulous. Will be back here and will surely recommend to my veg vegan friends :) Did i mention they throw in a complimentary caramel apple lollipop? Yep. Best thing ever! So thoughtful :)
