Yard House
501 Collection Blvd Suite # 4130, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States
We went to the Yard House last Friday, (first time in a very long time) and I want to tell you that our experience was saved by our server Jason. We ordered a beer and a Mai Tai. You could tell that the Mai Tai is probably not ordered often there (being that they specialize in their tap beers) it wasnt very good, and it wasnt in a very nice presentation glass either. We told our server, who was quick to repace it for us. We went on to place our Dinner order. My husband ordered a Pasta dish with LOBSTER (sorry, I dont know the menu name) anyway it was a spaghetti or linguine type of pasta with what looked like a light tomato sauce, with an additional Caesar Salad.I ordered a Stacked Turkey Club and fries. The food was slow coming out but we were enjoying our evening out. While looking around we noticed that it wasnt overly busy and there was certainly not a shortage of staff working the floor. When our meal was served it came with the Salad and we realized that it hadnt come out prior to the meal, had we noticed we would have brought it to Jasons attention. So my husband started on the pasta right away - leaving the Salad alone so that he could enjoy the Pasta while it was hot and fresh. It was too late - it was already cold and disappointing. Again, Jason was very helpful and gave us the utmost of professional service. We were very pleased with the rest of the food we ordered, but I want to stress that it was Jasons superior service that will bring us/me back to the Restaurant. Addtionally - I want to say that I know mistakes happen and that things can go wrong in the kitchen, But, if you have it on your menu- you should be able to prepare and serve it properly. Thanks again Jason ?♀️

Leaving this review seems so silly to me but I just had the funniest most ridiculous experience.I come here often and NEVER had an issue with getting an extra sauce packet. I ordered 2 Gordita Crunchs the man at the windows hands me my food and I see 2 sauce packets. Great but id like at least one more. So I kindly asked for another one he immediately in a rude manner says sorry no, only one per order. I thought he was joking.. I offered to pay for it at that point and he says no. So I said ok so Ill purchase a taco if it means Ill get more sauce and he says okay. I proceed to express how ridiculous it is that he is making me pay for a whole taco for just ONE sauce packet and he goes on to say I dont care what you think . At this point I am appalled at the way he is speaking to me so I ask for the manager he says he is the manager and I say okay what about your district manager and he says he is. LOL. At this point it isnt the sauce that upsets me its the fact that this mans demeanor was extremely unpleasant and entitled. For someone who is suppose to ensure district-wide customer satisfaction, he failed and that was absolutely not the way to handle this situation, over ONE packet of sauce. Apparently he (GUILLERMO) and (JAVIER) are both district managers but neither seem to be worthy of the position if they cannot understand and or practice the importance of customer satisfaction after all it is an important element of business strategy. So, therefore I will never return to this location.
Taco Bell
201 W Channel Islands Blvd, Oxnard, CA 93033, United States
My family has been to this Taco Bell several times. Unfortunately it is the closest one to my house. Every single time we order food, it is cold and there is hardly any stuffing inside our items. Example, recently I ordered the five layer burrito. It had hardly any meat any beans and very little cheese. It was completely flat. All tortilla no meat and beans. Previously I ordered a crunch wrap supreme. Again no meat inside of it. When you have items on your menu and they resemble a round circle full of feelings don't hand out a rolled out flat tortilla with nothing in it
La Jenelle Natural Cafe
2323 Roosevelt Blvd #1, Oxnard, CA 93035, United States
La Jenelle is amazing!! I loved the Mexicali Bowl, the flavors and textures were absolutely perfect. I could eat it every day. More than that, Sochi went absolutely above and beyond to take care of me and my partner, who has a nut allergy. We were happy to just get something for me and go elsewhere to pick up his lunch (he's an omnivore), but Sochi made him a special dish and went over each ingredient to make sure he felt confident that nothing had cross-contamination from the cashew products they have in their kitchen. We really felt the love!

Ramen Izakaya NoHo
10829 Oxnard St, North Hollywood, CA 91606, United States
This place is a hidden gem - my wife and I were starving so I found this spot not to far away from an appointment we had, and we were blown away by the service, and the deliciousness of the food! The ramen was, no kidding, the best ramen Ive ever had. Now Ill be the first to tell you that Ive not had 100s of ramen before, but I do enjoy some ramen every once and a while. This ramen has given me a new craving that I will be coming back for to this spot and Ill also be bringing friends and family here as well. My wife loved her dish, and we both left full, happy and with smiles on our faces. The staff is so friendly, brought us our food timely, were so professional, were genuinely kind people and I wish other restaurants would copy their model of hospitality.Ill add that the night after we dined here we went to the NY Times Best restaurant in LA, a Thai spot that I wont mention the name of, and it was NOTHING in comparison to this place. If youre sitting in your car, starving, just go here, youll be glad you did!
El Forastero
7th and, 655 S Ventura Rd, Oxnard, CA 93030, United States
Stopped here because of reviews and location is close to home. Menu was diverse with multiple choices from tacos, chili rellenos, tostadas, etc. Wife ordered three carne asada tacos plus side of beans. I ordered a tostada and one taco of lengua. Meat in tacos was flavorful and plentiful and was served with grilled onions on the side plus onions and salsa either red or green on top. Wife loved the red salsa while I thoroughly enjoyed the green salsa. Wife said the red salsa was a perfect spiciness. Corn tortillas were good. You also get slices of cucumber plus sliced lemons. Ladies working in truck were very nice and friendly. Truck is parked on the South side of the Shell gas station. Wife said this is her new favorite taco place. We both recommend El Forastero for good reasonably priced Mexican food.
Tierra Sur At Herzog Wine Cellars
3201 Camino Del Sol, Oxnard, CA 93030, United States
Tierra Sur is a top-notch, all Kosher restaurant (non-dairy) located in the Herzog Wine Winery in Oxnard, CA. There's just about nothing else like it in the area and one can see why it would also be a destination for those in Los Angeles seeking a fine dining and also certified Kosher experience. They do have some vegetarian options, though glancing through the menu with that as my focus, it clearly wasn't their main intention, and the menu does change seasonally – so some of what I had in July is not currently available at this December writing.Of course, since you're at a winery, you might as well start with wine. Our table shared the Camouflage Red Blend. This was one of the most satisfying glasses of wine I have ever had. I'm certainly not a wine expert, but I've had enough to at least know whether or not I like it…I liked this a lot. I'm rarely moved to buy wine as the result of having it at a restaurant. In this rare occasion, the Herzog Camouflage Red has entered my permanent list of “buy this wine.”For my main, I had the Veggie Pizzetta. (a version with veal is what's available on the menu as of this writing.) For a non-dairy pizza this wasn't bad. Points for effort…but as firm believer in the power of cheese, this was not my favorite dish in the world.I also had a side of their “Potato Fries.” I'm also a firm believer in the potential of french fries, and there was something about them putting the word “potato” right in the name that inspired me to order them. These were super super good. Perfectly cooked, perfectly thick, perfectly tasty fries that I didn't want to share with anyone (err, though I did.)A couple of odd choices for my meal, but this was brunch time and I tend to eat lighter earlier in the day, especially with the absence of brunch foods on the menu. Thy also offer house-made pastas, a pumpkin fritter is currently on the menu, sweet potato fries, and a Squash-Apple Soup round out the vegetalrian options I can see currently available. So if I had to do it again (and I would), I'd come back for dinner and have the more hearty pasta dish and more tapas. All in all this was a VERY nice restaurant with impeccable service and the extra bonus of being able to walk up the stars and view the wine cellars was pretty cool.
Kobee Factory
14110 Oxnard St, Van Nuys, CA 91401, United States
Such delicious Middle Eastern food! 5*Fresh salad with spices, the best in town tabouli, oven backed thin pita, balanced spiced pickles, tahini filled baba-ganoush and in oil crispy backed falafel!Nice fresh green interior color of the walls with many ‘best-of-town' nominations - well deserved!Odd: it's a family run restaurant and we saw a hot tempered teenage boy made a scene in the kitchen and kept being glued to his phone on the side of chef of the restaurant having lunch.I get it's a Syrian restaurant, and there is pleasant Arabian music and the traditional one. After some time it gets too much.Minor things to improve: dark think hair found in the salad and no hand towels in the bathroom. But that food it's worth it.The younger lady server/cook was extremely friendly and consulted us on vegan options.
