Oasis Restaurant & Catering Moroccan Mediterran...
1351 Price St, Pismo Beach, CA 93449, United States
If you want to eat a homemade meal at a restaurant overlooking the ocean and the palm trees this is the place to go. I promise you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is beautiful and the vibes are so family oriented. We came to eat here for my Sons 5th birthday on St. Patricks day. I checked out their menu online. They had some of his favorite things so i decided to bring him, my, sister and my mom here. Lets just say they were all satisfied. I dont know how i finished all my food but i did. i left there with a food belly i was so full. The kids meals are crazy big, i wish i couldve ordered off that menu.We ordered the Moroccan mint tea and the Turkish coffee. They are both deliciously sweet and flavorful. i was always told i dont know how to make coffee because at the bottom of my cup i always have grounds but this is how this coffee is served and i loved it.We also had the falafel fingers and hummus which was absolutely delicious. My sister ate the fish and fries. Most delicious fresh fries ever may i add. My son had the Honey chicken and my mother and i ordered the Spicy chicken. The chicken was so soft and creamy and the right amount of spice to where you can still taste the flavor of the food. i also ordered the side of garlic fries with my meal which i barely touched. The fries are a perfect combination of soft and crispy they are made with love and magic. it was like a fried mashed potato stick. As if Karim perfectly boiled the potato and then fried it to perfection.A lot of the cooking reminded me of my grandmothers cooking the falafel reminded me so much of my grandmothers Bajia and the chicken reminded me of her curry. This Restaurant is ran Perfectly by the lovely Husband and Wife duo.I feel they are the type that if you return in a year they will remember you.

Short staffed and forgetful. We reserved a spot here for two birthdays and regretted it. It took almost 40min for appetizers to arrive, waiter did not check in.Normally if a long wait is happening an experienced server will come by with a compd appetizer (chips or something cheap generally) and see if anyone needs another drink... But not here. We were one of only three tables but it was clear the kitchen was prioritizing the takeout orders and basically ignored ours. How tough is it to prepare a hummus plate? I think maybe our waiter forgot our order? Or maybe both: forgot order, and takeout-first?!Throughout the meal the waiters were nowhere to be found, perhaps they are scared of the patrons. A good waiter will show up occasionally just to check in, and even if things arent going well in the kitchen, will at least provide a status update and ask if you want a fresh drink or offer something they can prep. Not here. At the end of the meal they did provide a free slice of carrot cake, which was a nice gesture but VERY late. Food was OK but pitas were cold from a package, falafel was fresh but made from a mix, from other reviews I was sad not to see anything fresh. The mushrooms in the mushroom hummus were good. Brussels sprouts undercooked but had a good charred flavor. Hummus very salty, baba ganoush OK.We had showed up expecting to order appetizers and then a full dinner and to celebrate a birthday. We were very happy just to get out of there after appetizers. A visit to the CVS next door for batteries was more satisfying (they didnt even have the ones we needed in stock and I was still happier with the service).I would compare the ambience to the feeling you have waiting for coworkers in a hotel lobby while on a work trip, in that situation where you showed up on time at the lobby bar and they did not; youve ordered one drink, and theyre taking too long just to appear. You debate internally: should I grab another white wine (or not) and go sit in my hotel room for a few hours doing work before I sleep in canned air? Or should I sit here interminably with my sad half-order hoping these delayed yahoos will show up and something we can call a dinner will, however reluctantly, materialize? A very lobby feeling -- very much in-between to someplace else -- and no, dinner definitely will not materialize.

Great little taco and drinking destination, you are welcomed to a spacious, clean, and well laid out restaurant, you know you can really trust a restaurant when they have the kitchen completely open for your visual inspection. I really appreciate the transparency of food and drinks at this establishment, I understand its in the Pismo Beach main thoroughfare so of course prices might be a little steeper than most, before I even talk about food I would strongly suggest if you have a taste for a original margarita to check them out as they make their margaritas some of the best you would taste in the area. There is a decent selection of tacos that are available where you can either buy the taco separately or add on beans and rice to your meal. I must be honest out of the three times that Ive visited this restaurant Ive enjoyed having drinks and conversations more than just jumping into a plate of food. The food especially the nachos are fantastic, fresh, and a portion like no other. You might not agree with the slightly higher prices but at least you will get a good portioned meal for you and easily another person to enjoy. There are other Mexican restaurants and cantinas in the area, but if you are in Pismo near the pier then this is a great place to stop and enjoy. Pro tip try to catch them on a Monday or Tuesday where they will have discounted margaritas or Taco Tuesday which you can stretch your dollar farther and have more bang for your buck. I will say that this is a restaurant worth visiting so please dont hesitate. Enjoy your meal, enjoy the destination, and whatever you do be safe.
The Green Olive Pismo Beach

Yup, five stars for a takeout place in a liquor store. Unbelievable, right? We took out dinner while staying at the small motel next door. It's Mediterranean food; falafel, dolmas, shawarma, etc. I had the ‘Works' which is a combo of filet mignon, chicken and Kafta skewers. It was great including the filet. I ordered it just to see if it was really as good as we were told. The filet was excellent. Chicken was a bit dry. The kafta, which is a cigar shaped cylinder for ground beef, was good but I'd probably skip it next time. Next time, I'll go all in on the filet. You also get a small salad, falafels, some rice and some humus. All good. Wife got a veggie option that was more falafels in place of the meat that I had. The servings are big. When you're ordering, the pictures are misleading. You get a lot more than what the picture suggests. The combo was $22 before tax so definitely affordable. And, definitely will be back.
Sandos Deli
1255 Shell Beach Rd, Pismo Beach, CA 93449, United States
Friendly place with Boars Head cold cuts on sandwiches. They also have both local beer & cider on tap. While they have minimal seating inside or out, they are really oriented for take-out to the beach. Please note that you are not allowed to take the alcohol on the beach, nor liter.Their prices are slightly better than Del Palos down the road, but do not have the plethora of breads, homemade choices, nor late hours. If you have an urge for a quick bite with a tapped beverage, this is the place.Unfortunately, most if not all food choices are not on display, so you have to really on internet pics. While they do say that they make some of there own condiments, they do not make their own meat. So if you want homemade beef, pork, turkey, or their smoked varieties, you need to go somewhere else.
House of the Rising Buns
950 Price St, Pismo Beach, CA 93449, United States
If you are a foodie, then you should certainly check out this place! Bobbie is great! I found out about this sandwich/bread shop and am so glad I did! It is one of those LOCAL treats that you may pass by if you did not look for it, I know I did until I heard about it!What a treat! First of all the BREAD YUUUUUUUMMM! Second of all the Sandwich I tried was so amazing! It was the Gobbler on Fire!I asked Bobbie to not put too much of the spice on it and also had him go light on the pickled red onions (I almost had no pickled red onions, however that would have been a mistake, glad I did have them) and the sandwich was AWESOME! So much flavor and Bobbie makes all the bread and also the bacon jam! There is not any inside seating so just be aware which is the reason for the 4 I gave for atmosphere. This was the only thing for me that could be a potential improvement.I will be honest, I thought I could make this at home and even bought some Bacon jam and am not even CLOSE.A day before I went to a DIFFERENT sandwich shop in the same town. That shop charged more and I actually threw that sandwich away because it had no flavor. Rising Buns put them to shame!!!If you want an amazing sandwich that offers a good portion size, lots of flavor and is FRESH, this is a great place to check out!I know I will be back!
Morenos Taqueria

As a self-proclaimed taco enthusiast who has explored taco joints from coast to coast, I can confidently say that Morenos Taqueria stands head and shoulders above the rest. This place has captured my heart, and heres why:Im originally from CA, and my taco journey has taken me through SOCAL, CENCAL, NORCAL, TX, NM, AZ, NYC, CHICAGO, and even Mexico itself. But Morenos Taqueria has a special place in my heart because they treat you like family from the moment you walk in. The owner and staff have mastered the art of making every guest feel valued and at home. Now, lets talk about the food. Its more than just food; its a labor of love and passion. Every dish at Morenos Taqueria is crafted with care and dedication, and it truly shines through in the flavors. As someone who has a deep love for tacos, Ive sampled them far and wide, and Morenos sits with my TOP 3!My personal favorites include their queso birria (beef) tacos, which are an absolute delight. The flavors burst in your mouth with each bite. And lets not forget the asada tacos; they are perfection on a plate. But its not just the meats; their rice and beans are on point too.If you have the chance, dont miss their menudo on weekends. Its the perfect comfort food that warms your soul.I have a special connection to Morenos Taqueria because when I was stationed at Vandenberg SFB, CA, finding a taco spot that met my expectations was surprisingly challenging. Morenos not only met those expectations but exceeded them in every way.To sum it up, Morenos Taqueria is a taco lovers paradise. The warmth of the staff, the exceptional quality of the food, and the overall experience make it a must-visit. My family and friends know about my love for tacos, and Morenos Taqueria is where I proudly take them to experience the best.Thank you, Morenos Taqueria, for setting the bar so high and consistently delivering outstanding tacos. Youve won a devoted fan in me!???
Breezeway Cafe
230 Pomeroy Ave, Pismo Beach, CA 93449, United States
This could have been a bad review... My wife and I ordered breakfast burritos at a busy time and sat down to wait. The wait was greater than 30 minutes, but we were patient. The fantastic person making waffles however, wasnt happy about our wait time. Here is where the review gets good... We were offered some free waffle pieces while we waited (waffles that didnt make the final cut), and were looked after directly, the entire staff doubled their efforts to get our food to us, and make and keep us comfortable while we waited. A second half waffle was given to us. (We quickly regretted not getting waffles... Delicious!) We were cared for, treated with respect and dignity, and offered extra service above and beyond what you may expect at a restaurant in a high volume tourist area. (The breakfast burrito was very good as well.) We will come back to Breezeway again whenever we visit Pismo Beach. Thank you!
Brooks Burgers Pismo Beach
220 5 Cities Dr, Pismo Beach, CA 93449, United States
(Updated 2022 - one star) uh oh. My bad. I made the mistake of thinking to give Brooks a new chance. I did not even try to call and went to go in. When I ordered to go I saw they now added a 3.50% take out fee. So on top of the expensive burgers you want to go full tourist trap and edge out as much from the customers they can. Why not just increase the price more? Regardless of this no real change in lack of customer service and the burgers just seemed a bit bland. Will stick with my original decision to support other local burger places that focus on the Custer and food. Sad.(Updated) I tried to give them a third chance and their website was broken, no one answering the phone (and voicemail full), and no way to order food. Moving on.TL:DR(Updated) Ok burgers. Changes in policy make it hard to order over the phone and can't pay onsite. Disappointed in changes to policy, decaying customer service, and lots of local options.——We have been customers here from when they opened. Recently they have gotten much busier and have drastically changed how they take orders and payment options. In the past I have called the business and ordered order the phone. They had been very responsive and always felt like they cared about their customers.First, I order from a lot of local restaurants and understand the challenges with recent changes to distancing and safety procedures. This has nothing to do with those types of challenges. The last two times when driving I tried to order. They very strongly tried to discourage me from ordering over the phone (and wanted me to use their online ordering). When I asked multiple times they finally let me order. Why so hard? If they are going to answer the phone then take orders. If not just have automated answer say you have to order online.Secondly, they no longer let you pay in person (if order over the phone) either in cash or credit card. So they would rather you just come order in person and pay there but now you have to wait in person with other people (seems like defeating the purpose of safety was a variable). So I had to pull over and get out a credit card to order. The employees did not seem to care and I did try to talk with a manager on duty. Seems that is a new policy by the owner.——All in all. Ok burgers, pain to order, ok to low customer service. No real reasons to return. Lots of good burger restaurants around.
Ynot Organic

Took my mom here for a birthday lunch and ordered the mexi bowls. Im vegetarian and lactose intolerant, shes lactose intolerant as well. It was so nice to know that anything on the menu was safe for us both to enjoy and having an abundance of choices not just one like at most restaurants. The portions were good sized, we each ate half and had to save the rest for later. Everything in the bowl was fresh, I appreciated that, and it tasted great! There was a lot of flavor and I came away feeling satisfied! I know my mom enjoyed hers as well and was looking forward to eating her leftovers. Im sure shell be asking me to bring her back here again someday soon! ?
