Pieology Pizzeria
11604 Amargosa Rd Suite 4, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
First and foremost the girl red hair girl (I didn't see a name tag) sliding the dough through some contraption that makes oval pizzas and working the sauce and cheese station was really rude and had an attitude for no reason at all. She asked what kind of sauce I wanted I replied easy sauce she put the thinnest layer possible and I simply said can I have a little more please and she just looked genuinely bothered. A gain with the thinnest spread possible at this point I didn't feel like going tjtouhh it again so I just let it go.Then when it came time to asking me about cheese I simply said mozzarella please and I tried to lighten up the air by just saying mozzarella is fine and she got an attitude again. I had just gotten off of work and honestly after dealing with customers all day the last thing I want to deal with is an attitude from an employee. I work service so I treat people with common respect. I had no attitude and I didn't even get upset. Now today I'm eating this incredibly dry pizza that I would have asked for more sauce but I didn't want to inconvenience the employee. Then after all of this I go to pay and this store doesn't take Apple Pay?!! The other locations do so I'm not sure of the issue. All in all just go to another pieology. I prefer the one on main and Escondido.
Pizza Guys
15370 Bear Valley Rd #1, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
I am devastated by the way I have been treated today by this establishment .I ordered online for our children at home to have dinner delivered for approximately $30.00 on thier website which ALLOWED me to choose a delivery to Apple Valley AND charged my card for the order.I call the kids and get them all excited as they are there with the sitter while my husband and i are out of town, so they await the pizza and the gooey chocolate cookie ..yummy!5 minutes later I receive a call from a gentleman explaining that they dont deliver to Apple Valley YET.Naturally I ask why they allow me to order to this address and charge my card on their website if the service isnt currently available? He chuckles and states he doesnt know . I ask if theres any possibility that they can do a one time courtesy this time as that $30 was exactly all I had left on my card as we planned to use it for pizza for our children today as we are out of town and if they refund the money I wont have it available for days and this is the only way we can feed the children as planned. He asks if I want to speak to the owner and calls him .I can overhear the guy explaining the situation and that I want to speak to him and he firmly says NO and NO he wont do the one time courtesy as its almost 9 miles away so NO ! Just like that and the gentleman returns to the phone to say, he said No.Thats it !I have literally no way to feed these kids, thought I had my ducks in a row when we planned this time to attend a wedding today .I cant believe after it clearly was a mistake on behalf of the Company and their website that still they were as rude and heartless as they were regarding this matter.
Nekter Juice Bar
11604 Amargosa Rd Ste. 2, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
Upon arriving, the manager and I entered together. She sat and started eating her lunch. It looked like an item from Starbucks. I ordered two drinks and waited. As I waited, about 4 customers ordered after i did and received their drinks. After about 30 min of waiting, I asked when my drinks were going to be ready. The attendant told me they were almost ready.I no longer wanted to wait and asked for my money back. They called over the manager, who was still seated finishing her lunch (Starbucks item), a Caucasian lady, mid 30s.She walked over almost bothered and said it takes long to make fresh drinks, and besides, you came at a busy time. I told her my fresh drinks took long but not for the 4 customers that ordered after I did?She returned my money and sarcastically said you would get your money in 4 to 5 days, as if to try to bait me to argue. The unfortunate thing about this incident is that it occurred in front of the manager. As a manager and seeing that it was a busy time and letting her employees struggle, as she is sitting there eating for over 30 minutes and not helping shows the type of management this establishment has. The role of a supervisor or manager is to assist their employees even if its your lunch time.Nekter, its time you revisit this managers training because her failure to act will further cost you to lose more business and customers. Rest assured, I wont go back as well as the other 2 customers that left before ordering due to the long wait time to order and receive your order.

The Vegan Vato

Hey Vegans!!! Weve got an All-Star Authentic VEGAN restaurant in the High Desert. This place is the bomb. Truly vegan! No processed foods. The owner, the chef delivers culinary expertise with breat taking CLASS ? ?. The ambiance of the interior restaurant is very clean, fresh, and inviting to small and mid to large crowds. Great for vegan parties and social gathering. The music was spot on. I live in northern Victorville and wanted to treat the wife to dinner and movie. Were LA transplants, loving ❤️ the high desert lifestyle. Its exciting to see tge high desert expand it options by including true vegan high end culinary Mexican treats. We were tired of the mundane vegetarian bottom feeder, table scrapped, process choices that other 4-STAR restaurant offer. The VEGAN Vatos offers great food, fair pricing, wonderful ambiance, excellent business ownership, all wrapped for nice quiant evening out. BRAVO!!!
Paulinas Mexican Grill
14845 Monarch Blvd G, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
My wife & I moved to the area WAY BACK in 1999, & after 20 years, FINALLY a restaurant with excellent Mexican food, service & ambiance in Paulinas! When we 1st started dating, I took her to La Paloma (in La Verne) as some friends had turned me on to it. Good was good (not GREAT, but GOOD), nice, authentic ambiance, prices, service and EXCELLENT chips & salsa. Moved up here, tried a few places like El Tia Pepe....nice ambiance, good was bland, disappointing (red sauce on enchiladas, wet burritos akin to sauce in Spagettios?). A few other spots, too, but not memorable enough to recall. Tried the new Pancho Villas about a year ago, TREMENDOUS ambiance/atmosphere, beautiful place....food was eh...ok, I guess (to be fair, I typically get either enchiladas-chicken, more often than not, & wet burritos. I figure if something as basic as those 2 dishes, especially the red sauce, doesnt leave me wanting more, then Ive no desire to try anything else on the menu. (To be fair, I have heard that this place does have some excellent dishes-like the ceviche & their seafood brunch- from family members who grew up with & KNOW EXCELLENT, AUTHENTIC Mexican food, but Ill have to take their word for it). After years of looking for a local spot & numerous disappointments, we gave up & just drove all the way down to La Paloma for our Mexican food dining experiences. HOWEVER, last weekend, were short on time, but wanted to get in a long overdue date night, so Googled the local spots & went over the reviews. Paulinas stood out with a 4.8 out of 5 stars, so we figured wed try it. Had hope, but not high expectations, given 2 decades of disappointments in the local spots.....but, WOW!!!! SOOOO GLAD we found THIS place. Tucked in the corner of a small strip-mall Id never even really noticed before, this little gem was WELL worth the time! Inside, its small, but we immediately liked the ambiance as it had that authentic Mexican restaurant feel, but with a fresh, updated/modern look/decor. Were seated quickly & immediately had chips & salsa served to us, as the waiter took our drink order. Not a huge menu, but some interesting choices (more than just Mexican food, some even mixed/blended)so as soon as he brought our drinks, we were ready to order. I got the .......you guessed it,...chicken enchilada dish, my wife the cheese enchiladas (shes vegetarian & while they had a good assortment of vegetarian & vegan dishes, she wanted something more traditional). For me, good enchiladas begin with the sauce...& in Paulinas red/roja sauce, NOT ONLY was I not disappointed, but I was impressed! The only other restaurant Ive ever had sauce as good- that I was actually excited about & couldnt wait to have again- was Avilas Ranchero Mexican restaurant in Newport Beach (they have several locations along the coast, but only as far inland as Irvine....but ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL Mexican food!). Well, Paulinas chicken enchilada dish was right up there! Cant tell you how happy we were to FINALLY find a local place with Mexican food we both loved, cant wait to have again & a place to call our own! Family owned & operated, homemade sauce, tortillas,... everything & the quality really shines! I hope Im not overstating it, but if youve never been, & are looking for ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS Mexican food, EXCELLENT service & REALLY NICE, COZY ambiance, you should DEFINITELY check this place out. Prices were competitive (seemed a tad higher than our regular spot (LA Paloma), but I didnt have to order any of my favorite sides (sour cream, guacamole), as they were included.... so, came out about the same, minus the 2 hour round trip & gas to boot. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Chicken Enchiladas!!! Confident you wont be disappointed.
Chateau Chang
15425 Anacapa Rd, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
First time going into this fine dining establishment, I had made a reservation a week before for Friday night 6:45p.m. My wife and I walked through the doors to a low lit room with an empty bar at our left, two waitresses, and 6 of the 15 tables occupied with guests. We stood there for almost 3 minutes before we were even acknowledged. The waitress whos name I will withhold for embarrassment sake on her behalf which had no personality what so ever, asked if we were the ones that had the reservation? I replied yes we are she didnt say a word, took us to our table, Sat us down then walked away, thought that was odd but whatever. I went to the restroom to see how clean it was, it was very clean, so I give that an A plus. When I came back out and sat down it was still just about five minutes before the waitress came and asked if we wanted anything to drink, we said yes and told her we were also ready to order. We wanted to try their escargot as an appetizer which came with five in a bowl of butter sauce. This dish of tiny wedged in rubbery, tough and also bitter snails came after almost twenty minutes after ordering them, not impressed thus far, for our main dish my wife ordered a grilled shrimp and vegetable platter which came with rice, and a salad. She had sparkling water with bitters for the drink. I order a filet mignon which came with a baked potato, steamed vegetables, and a salad. I had a bottled beer for my drink. The waitress did not return until twenty seven minutes after we ordered. The salad was very good, the shrimp was very tough because it was overcooked, the rice and vegetables were good, my plate with the filet mignon and the potato and the vegetables was spectacular. We decided not to order dessert since we didnt figure it would come before the place closed. We asked for our bill which came to eighty nine dollars and some change. This the waitress brought very promptly. No, How was your meal? No Thank you. No Have a nice night, please come again, Nothing like that. It is ashame, nice looking place that we will not return to.
Captains Fish Tacos
12748 Amargosa Rd #7, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
The Galley is a pretty well-known establishment in the city of Victorville, known for serving up fish tacos. Its easy to spot from the I-15 as it sits facing the freeway on Amargosa Rd. The prime time to visit is when they have Happy Hour or if you happen to chance upon a weekday special that you particularly like.Happy Hour is from Monday through Friday from 3PM-5PM, but they offer all day weekday specials, too. Menu is pretty straightforward, but there are a ton of choices to choose from - plates, tacos, bowls, burritos - they even have a kids menu for the little ones.We stuck with the fish taco choices and tried galley, Ensenada, and blackened fish styles (each one is $3.45). Tacos come prepared very simply, with the fish, pico de gallo, cabbage, cream sauce, and chipotle mayo. Theres a sauce bar by the drinks where you can stock up on sauces and limes to customize your taco.Out of the three selections, my favorite was the panko crusted (galley style) - the fish tasted the best here, probably because the outside was fried. I was still able to taste the tenderness of the fish, which went great with the crispy outside. Beer battered (Ensenada) was alright, but was a little on the drier side. Fish didnt taste as good, but it wasnt too bad. My least favorite was the blackened fish, which sounded really great but had a little too much fishy taste was on the drier side as well. For about $3.50 for each taco, I dont think they were worth the price. Id definitely recommend dropping by on Tuesdays where you can get tacos for $1.50 (from a limited selection of choices).Workers didnt seem too friendly or wanting to engage; however, when asked questions, the worker ringing us up was helpful. We did notice that one of the workers came around to the customers sitting around us to ask how they were doing, but didnt do the same for us - odd, but we were already almost done with the meal.tl;dr - A decent place to grab some tacos, drinks, or even some ceviche. Decorations on the wall are really nice, and I can see this being a great place to hang out with coworkers for happy hour. Tacos were just okay for me, but I wouldnt mind coming back on a daily special day to try some other items.

Mediterranean Island Kebab Grill
15329 Palmdale Rd Ste V, Victorville, CA 92392, United States
For nearly $90.00 all I can say is it was subpar at best....initially when we ordered our food I was informed they had no baklava understandable it was in the evening an hour before closing. While disappointed we moved on to ordering food. Do we ordered combos 1,2, and 4, falafel appetizer and stuffed grape leaves. Mind you this is a Togo order, after placing the order we proceeded to take a seat in the waiting area..one other patron in the restaurant at the time. As we waited our hostess returns 10 minutes later to inform us they are out of hummus so wanted to know if she could substitute a garden salad. This was for all three combos..of course I didnt want a salad but the wife was ok with it. So I asked if I could get another skewer of meat or 1 order of falafel to sub which I felt was fair considering it wasnt my fault they were out of something and failed to inform us at the beginning of the order. Denied....would not budge on the substitution so we were left in this awkward standoff for like 5 minutes. Then kitchen informed our hostess they would make fresh hummus...at this point 2 other groups of patrons entered the restaurant, we were informed since they were making the hummus fresh it would take an additional 10 minutes...sigh. so we wait....as we are waiting the other two groups were addressed and I didnt think anything of it until I realized they were getting served before us...after being there for 30 minutes now these new customers coming in ten minutes before they close are getting the hummus we were waiting for....so thats it we finally got our food after another 5 minutes and left....never again.
Samurai Sushi
14464 7th St, Victorville, CA 92395, United States
Had date night with my wife a few nights ago after finishing a Costco run and headed over. We ordered a few rolls, Yellow Tail belly sushi, Garlic Edamame, and they threw in some tempura shishito peppers with a cucumber salad compliments of the chef. The yellow tail belly was delicious, nice thick slices of fatty yellow tail. We ordered the Garlic Albacore, Sexy Night and Spicy Tataki Rolls. The garlic albacore roll was a little dry, but it is one of their low price rolls, so nothing fancy about it, and still flavorful. The spicy tataki roll was my favorite, loaded with fish and tons of flavor. Sweet, spicy, tangy. My wife preferred the Sexy Night with the spicy tuna and little bit of crunch from the tempura flakes. We sat at the sushi bar which is always fun especially hearing the chefs friendly banter and joke with each other. You can tell they enjoy making sushi and it shows in the quality of sushi they serve.
