Absolutely delicious! The pho is amazing and the service is quick. Usually get get the chicken pho with egg noodle, always good. And the spring roll is great too. I like how they also have boba options and Vietnamese coffee. This place never disappoints and is a nice good restaurant in downtown mountain view.

Ph Trn V

Pho Tran Vu is conveniently located in the mall next to Mountain View Costco. After shopping, we wanted to eat nearby. There are a couple fast food chains but We are not in the mood. So Pho Tran Vu became the only choice. Besides, we love pho.It was after lunch time. There were no other customers so we were seated immediately. All seatings are outdoors, perhaps for COVID precaution, perhaps because of the time.My daughter ordered a congé with pork internal organs and blood. I ordered the house special pho. Food came quickly, but I was very disappointed with the pho.The soup did not have the stewed flavor that I was accustomed to. Beef was a bit too tough to chew. The noodles were not chewy enough and I was not even sure if it was the kind of rice variety so typical at pho places. As indicated, one of meats was ox tail. It had the right tenderness, but even that lacked flavor because of the soup.I also ordered a hot Vietnamese coffee, the kind with condensed milk drip atop the cup. The waitress probably mistook hot for cold, which was fine with me. But it came in soda glass, no drip. A premixed sweetened water was really not what I wanted. The congé was better, especially considering that not many Bay Area places serve pork blood. (And it wasn’t overcooked.) Still, it wasn’t very flavorful as can be expected from listed: pork heart, liver, and ground pork, in addition to pork blood. In short, pho is mediocre at Pho Tran Vu despite exotic ingredients. (Despite the name, this is more of a full-menu Vietnamese restaurant than a pho place. Maybe this is why?) And the specialty coffee is, eh, not special.

Pho Avenue
2500 W El Camino Real, Mountain View, CA 94040, United States
To be clear, the food here is good and I will be back for more in the future. The food is very similar to the Vietnamese food I had while in Vietnam. The prices are pretty good, the food was served very quickly and parking was easy and close by.There were a couple of detractors, which is why I didnt rate Pho Avenue with five stars. First they were playing modern jazz music, which doesnt fit the environment and it was too loud. The second is that the employees were not friendly. At the same time, they werent unfriendly either. Id say theyre just very business-like. I regularly dine at other Vietnamese restaurants in the area and Ive found the employees to be very friendly and engaging. As I stated previously, Pho Avenue is a good restaurant with excellent, traditional food. Ill go back.

Big Bites Vietnamese Eatery
570 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States
Note: this is the brick and mortar store for Plant-Based Vegan Vietnamese restaurant, as well as Big Bites Vietnamese Eatery. They have two separate menus on GrubHub and PBVV is shown as in the Safeway on Google Maps but is not really there. As you can see by the aforementioned note we were all confused when we got here as to whether or not this was the right place. My wife ordered food from GrubHub here earlier in the week and she enjoyed the food, so we decided to go back so that I could try for myself. We each ordered a bowl of Veggie Pho, apparently you can order Faux Chicken Pho off the Plant Based Vegan Vietnamese menu, but it is not on the in-store menu. We also ordered veggie egg rolls and shrimp toast as an appetizer. The food came out quickly and was served with a small paper plate of basil, bean sprouts, limes, and three slices of jalapeño.Egg roll review: crisp outside, mushy inside, standard sweet and sour sauce. Came fresh from the fryer, the crispy outside was the only plus to this dish and didnt carry it very far. Flavor was ok, a bit lacking, too many cellophane noodles making the insides too soft. Generously 2 out of 5 stars.Shrimp Toast: also delivered fresh from the fryer, very crispy outside, but just tasted like frying oil. Dipped in the green ranch(?) tasted better, but did nothing to cut through the greasiness. 1 out of 5 stars.Veggie Pho: broth was actually ok. I prefer regular beef broth, but for a veggie broth it was ok. Plenty of noodles, but too many big chunks of horse carrot! I found myself just eating bite after bite of hunks of carrot that it dominated and took over the flavor of the entire dish and really ruined the bowl of noodles. 2 out of 5 very generously given. All in all the food was not very good and the prices were equivalent to any other Pho house in San Jose, around $15 for a bowl of lack luster noodles, plus more for tasteless fried food. Based on the variety of other Vegan cuisine in the area I would recommend going somewhere else for vegan cuisine. If you are going for Vietnamese food keep driving till youre in San Jose to get your fix.

House of Bagels
1712 Miramonte Ave suite D, Mountain View, CA 94040, United States
I just moved to CA from NJ 9 months ago. Ive tried a handful of bagel places around the South Bay area since then, hoping to get my fix of real NY-style bagels. I had almost given up hope... but House of Bagels hit the spot! A nice crust (evidence of a legit boil) and chewy, doughy crumb. This was distinctly a bagel - not just bread/a roll in a bagel shape (which seems to pass for a bagel around these parts). The veggie cream cheese was good, not the best Ive had. Id prefer bigger chunks of veggies in there - but thats a personal preference. On my quest for east-coast bagels though there are still two things I still cant seem to understand: (1) all-in-one bagels (akin to the everything on the east cost) here dont seem to come with salt on them. Why? Salt makes it taste so much better; and (2) almost every bagel place I go to microwaves their eggs. This kills me. Microwaved eggs just dont cut it! The stovetop griddle is a necessary staple for amazing breakfast sandwiches.

Eaves Creekside
151 Calderon Ave, Mountain View, CA 94041, United States
Posting an update since my 1-star review last year, because new management team have made things SO much better! The manager Allison is responsive, reasonable and very helpful. She went out of her way to make our experience here better, e.g. ensured a smooth move-out experience for us, proactively reached out to me when there is some left-over packages sent there after we moved out----------------------------------We have stayed in 4 Avalon properties in the bay area over 5 years, but Eaves Creekside is the absolutely the worst property and a huge disappointment. Besides the property being extremely old (built in 1970s) and lacking some key facilities (EV charging, air conditioning, hot tub etc.), we want to share the four real stories happened to us during this year for your reference:1. The building is SO old and poorly maintained that the roof broke and rain water flooded everywhere during our stay! :(( See photos of our place attached. Our entire floor was wet, our carpet soaked in water, the furniture damaged by the flood, and the wall was all brown. It turned out that there was a hole in the roof that was not properly fixed before this unit was rented out. The weeks following the incident, we had to live in construction noise every day and wait for the mess to be cleaned up.What made us most angry was that after all these terrible things happened, the building management just told us Hey this could happen to anyone. You can use your renters insurance. No reimbursement, no quick fix-up (it took weeks end to end), and no responses to our emails for days. It took many emails, phone calls, in-person meetings to get the situation barely fixed and only a few days of rent concessions back, despite all the disruptions to our life.2. We kept have personal valuables stolen in the complex. I parked and locked my $400 bike with TWO locks in my building under the staircase. First it was a ring bell and a bike light missing (I should have acted right then, now thinking back), and then my whole bike including the locks were gone!It turned out this complex is very unsafe and full of theft risks. My neighbor later shared that they had their bike locked on the second floor balcony also stolen last year! Just take a walk in the complex - if you look carefully around the bike stations, you will see a couple of bikes with stolen seats, wheels etc. parked here and there. No wonder the vacancy rate is so here in this complex right now.3. A lot of huge BUGs in your apartments! Starting from April, we spotted many bugs large and small in our apartment frequently (2-3/week). Some silver giant flies are as big as my thumb and SO disgusting!! The exterminator had to came and he mentioned that these bugs happen a lot in the apartment complex. They are caused by dead mouse nearby apparently :((.4. Unresponsive sloppy management. What kind of management takes 4 weeks to respond to a renewal request, when it is only 2 weeks before the lease end? First they started with a ridiculous renewing price that is way above the market (>20% more than the most expensive, exact same alternative units in the complex). Then when we asked for a short-term renewal price (to just bridge some personal plan during COVID), we had to email, call, and visit the office at least 10 times in the past 4 weeks to get some clarify on our options, but still we have no concrete answer back. It turned out the original manager just left the property and no proper transition was made then. As a result, the new managers in office are swamped. All in all, I have to say that I am supremely disappointed by our experience here. We had high hopes when we moved here from all the past good ones with Avalon. Unfortunately this particular place just does not live up to the reputation. I would recommend you look elsewhere because this property does not do Mountain View, a cute town the justice.I would also implore Avalon corporate to look into the operations at this particular property. If our stories are not enough, the high vacancy rate here is a very telling sign.

TBread
805 E El Camino Real D, Mountain View, CA 94040, United States
I was excited about coming here last week and trying their banh mi as the pictures looked good and the reviews seemed to be good as well. There are a few things that are causing me to rate this so lowly.1. There was someone walking around on the phone with no mask on talking on the phone while orders were being prepared, including mine. There is a sign at the entrance saying that masks are required to come in.2. Had ordered the TBread special and the Lemongrass chicken (#2) and had issues with both. The TBread was dry and the pork floss didnt help at all. The picked veggies (applies to both) tasted watered down and not flavor enough. The lemongrass chicken barely tasted like lemongrass and was generally bland.3. For $8+ a sandwich, they seemed overpriced and not worth the cost. Yes the size of the sandwiches were on the larger size but dont feel that for the lack of flavor with no major standouts to the sandwiches, its just not worth it.4. When I placed my order, I had also ordered an iced coffee but I guess they didnt hear me. Im fine with that if I they didnt charge me, which they didnt but what I do have an issue with is how the person said it. It was a very accusatory tone as if Im trying to pull a fast one of them or something. I left a 15% tip for take out, why would I trying and cheat my way out of a $4 drink???

Nail Bar Mountain View

Wouldn't really recommend this place just because the price and the service. really expensive this set was 100$ where i usually go she does 75$ with swavorski crystals and stuff. this was a last minute problem. at around 5:15 pm i called and asked if it was too late to fit me and my mom in. i would of totally understood if they said it was too busy and if i could come back tomorrow since they close at 7. but they said no it's okay we can totally do you and made me an appointment. they didn't ask what time so they just gave me 6pm. i received an appointment link and everything. it was a 15 minute drive and we got there at 5:55pm. when we got there everyone was staring at us it was really uncomfortable. no one greeted us and we were standing there for a couple of minutes. then someone finally came and i told them i had an appointment for 6 and they all looks at each other like what the heck…. she asked me if i can come tomorrow. i told her i had a confirmed appointment. she said okay wait outside. like 15 minutes later at this point my mom was a little upset and i asked her if she just wanted to go home and she said yeah. i went inside to tell them it's okay we will just go home. and they said no we almost have the chairs ready wait longer. we waited a little more and they brought my mom in first. i was finally called in later and the lady was really rushed and rough handling me. a lot of moments when she accidentally hurt me. and she looked pretty annoyed. just not a good experience with her. she had no name tag. that was the lady doing my pedicure. the lady doing my nails said hi how are you and such and she took her time to do her work and was very careful and asked for my opinions several times. she wanted to make sure i was happy. she is the only reason i rated this place any stars. none of the two girls doing my nails had name tags. i appreciate the nail girl because she stayed after hours to finish me up. i wouldn't come back. it was almost 300$ for me and my mom
